Krista Allen Dropped at The Bold and the Beautiful
While Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series, Krista Allen (Taylor Hayes), was walking on the red carpet last night at the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards, earlier in the day the news had broke, that the reason viewers of CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful had not seen her on-air, is that the show decided not to pick up the third year of her contract.
Allen told Deadline, that she was told back in October that her contract wouldn’t be renewed. Smart B&B viewers had noticed that she has not appeared in any episodes since November 8th. Given Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) failing health storyline, where her children Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) were greatly impacted, many were wondering where was Taylor?
Now the answers became clear: Krista was told the show opted out of her contract, but the events surrounding it didn’t initially add up to her. Allen expressed, “The craziest thing is right before I got dropped, I did the cast photo shoot, and then the next week they called and said, ‘We’re not going to keep your third year and thank you very much, you were wonderful and thank you, goodbye.’ And I was like, what?”’

Krista said it was very challenging for her to keep quiet about the whole situation: “I haven’t known what to say. And then when I got dropped, I was like, ‘oh, okay, is the show going to announce this?’ But they never did.”
When Allen checked out X (formerly Twitter) on December 10th, she realized it was the two-year anniversary of playing Taylor and many of her fans were posting messages to her about, but she didn’t know how to respond.

However, a source also told Deadline that Allen was offered to go recurring with the series, and turned that down. Krista’s rep shared that she had been offered three lines in an episode in late November, after “a couple of nothing months.”
No word yet if the role will be recast, but Allen shared that following the Daytime Emmys, she was moving to Atlanta, Georgia and out of Hollywood. nterestingly, Krista’s former leading man, Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), took home the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
What do you think of Krista confirming her exit from B&B? Share your thoughts on the situation via the comment section below.
I called this happening when she was cast, simply because it is Bradley Bell’s M.O. He hires you, uses you, demotes you (a.k.a. fires you) and then you’re OUT! She deserved more than a phone call saying “We’re not renewing you. Goodbye.” She’ll either return to Days of Our Lives as Billie, or go somewhere else. Maybe Josh Griffith will get inspired for 2.5 seconds and bring Taylor to Genoa City? Doubt it, LOL!
All I can say is the woman is pure class I heard what she said about Eddy winning the Emmy!! She was a breath of fresh air on that gosh awful show and she will do fine in the future.
Krista is fabulous and that show is so dumb for not keeping her.
The same thing that was done to Gina Tognoni. She got royally screwed over. In Mt opinion she did a great job as Taylor.
She played Phyllis on Y&R, was fabulous
How many times is this show going to hire actors and actresses, use them for awhile, then stop writing for them when Bill Bell gets bored and has to go back to Ridge and Brooke?
Krista Allen brought new life and fun to the character of Taylor and should have had a major story.
It’s really too bad BB is so short sighted and let this talented lady go.
I’ve been watching this show since day one and I think I’ve finally seen the writing on the wall and this show isn’t worth my time anymore.
Luke and Laura, the iconic soap super couple, broke up and went on to successful relationships that the fans supported. Ridge and Brooke can do the same and should have years ago.
I agree, there is more time to do other things than watch a show that keeps doing the same characters with these actors. Ridge with Brooke and Liam going after Steffy same old stuff. What are scared to do anything new? I am gree with you Shari, this show isn’t worth our time.
Amen!!! I am so sick of Ridge and Brooke. The two make me so frustrated. It’s the same fricken story over and over again for the last 25 years!! I have watched since day one and couldn’t be more bored with the primo couple!!
I’m so glad that Luna has made an appearance. It’s nice to see a splash of color. BB is so pasty white!
They recast Thorne with Ingo and did nothing with him so this doesn’t surprise me but it’s a huge disappointment. They’ll go back to Hope/Liam/Steffy/Thomas and tell one story at a time.
Wow, how awful, she was awesome, how dumb is Bradley Bell?
Word is (on X) that KKL (Brooke) made a big stink about KA getting too much of a storyline. Because of that, KKL went to Brad Bell and bitched about it. That ultimately lead to Krista being let go from the show. I was so blindsided by this news. I’m officially done with Bold and will no longer watch the show. I’ve also unfollowed any cast members, producers, writers and the show’s twitter handles on the social media platform. The only one that I will continue to follow is Krista.
It’s not surprising. Bradley Bell has only known how to write for Steffy, Liam & Hope for years. I stopped following the soap because it got so bad.
How can we imagine for a single moment that Kristen, Felicia & Rick are not near their father? Jacob W Young criticized the soap when he left and Tracy Lindsay Melchior is doing the same today. I agree with them. The characters leave without any explanation. Rick is the best example as he is the son of the two main characters.
Katie & Bill are still around only appearing in fifty episodes a year and counting.
The Sheila/Deacon couple doesn’t work. It would have been more interesting to see Deacon with Taylor.
Finn, Carter, Luna, Katie, Donna… have no charisma and are boring as hell.
The soap completely lost its splendor with the successive departures of Darlen Conley, Ronn Moss, Susan Flannery & Jacob W Young. The new Steffy/Hope rivalry never lived up to Taylor/Brooke. Liam is the worst character in B&B history and contributes to fans’ disenchantment.
It’s a real waste as the soap was so good in the 80s/90s.
Great news! Cannot act very well. How she got nominated is beyond me.
I have lost the glow of it all,all the actors and actresses have lost the spark. Its time to get some new people or quit the show.
As many have said, this no surprise from this show. They hit gold with how the fans accepted her so positively in the role. The added bonus was how well she worked social media and gained a lot of followers from the show, Her positivity was so great to see and she worked like an old school soap star. The next big name should have it written into their contract that they must have and exit scene. They should also realize they might get a good year but that’s about it.
That’s messed up. They told her thankyou but the Taylor is not needed. What a slap in the face to Krista Allen. She Is so talented. Hopefully GH or Days or even Y&R hire her then B&B can see what a gem they lost. Messed up!! I’ll miss Taylor.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Courtesy/ABC
Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”
So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
