In a terrific episode of CBS’ Daytime Emmy Award winning afternoon series, The Talk, the ladies of the panel celebrated the winners of the 40th Annual Daytime Emmys with a special segments interviewing and honoring the big winners from last night’s ceremonies in some of the Daytime Drama categories.

Days of our Lives, Arianne Zucker (Nicole), Peggy McKay (Caroline) and an emotional and heartfelt Kristian Alfonso (Hope) were the special guests representing the NBC soap’s, second victory for the Outstanding Drama Series, and the first in 38 years! And as asked by Sheryl Underwood, neither Zucker, Alfonso, or McKay were with the show when it won back in 1978!

The gals from Salem related how much this win surprised the cast in attendance at the Daytime Emmys, how they have been celebrating non-stop since they won the prestigious category of the night,  and much more.  If you are big fan of DAYS, you will love this segment.  On-Air On-Soaps was also in the audience for today’s taping and at the end of the segment, Kristian Alfonso waved to the fans in the studio audience and paid them a special thanks on the air, too!

Good win for Days…Suzanne Rogers(Maggie) shouldve been there…she was on Days for 40 years and was there when the show last won in 1978! She couldve talked about how it felt to have the show win for the first time in 35 years!

Yes and Deidre Hall should have been there too. Maybe they were both hung over lol

Yeah, her too! Shes the other actress been there(off and on) since the 1970s!

What the hell did Peggy McCay do to her face? Her face lift is so tight she can’t even open her mouth and I can barely watch her on DAYS with her pointy finger in everyone’s faces. Can’t women just age gracefully?

Ces she has had a stroke which I am sure as you know it pulls generally one side of the face down also it does affect speech therefore when she did have probably a face lift they tended to pull the skin I feel a little exaggerated also age drooping face etc harder to do. You ask why women can’t age gracefully society as we know it won’t let them. They never make comments hardly about a man aging but a woman they are all over it. Also face surgeries are touchy with me I have a sister born with a face birth defect and she has had three major surgeries and I think she looks great but she is very sensitive about people making fun of her so I guess that is why I came on so strong not intending to be a a/hole about it.

I was originally wondering if she did have a stroke but couldn’t find anything aout it, but you’re right, she must have had some plastic surgery afterward to
fix it…. still, more women should age gracefully instead of turning themselves into the Lisa Rinna/Hunter Tylo’s of the world where they aren’t even recognizable anymore… I didn’t think you were being an a-hole 😉

I do totally agree with you about Hunter Tylo when she lived in Las Vegas I use to see her all the time we shopped same area and when I realized one day what she had done my friend and I said WTH one of the most beautiful women why? When the good lord gives you those kind of looks it just does not make sense. I have noticed she seems to have toned down the lip thing. I guess like I said before they get this society thing in their head maybe they need to spend some time in the shrink chair. Lol

Love Days it’s been passed down to me from my Grandmother to my Mother to Me. Congratulations!

Beautiful…..So happy for DAYS!

CES: Peggy McCay is a stroke survivor and that is why she cannot open her mouth completely.

Oh is she? If that’s the case, I’m sorry about that. But, it still appears as if she got some plastic surgery because her face looks a lot different, tighter and wrinkle free.

She has also had hip surgery and she is 85 years old she has won a primetime emmy she has also done theatre. She is a wonderful lady and she deserved that emmy. She is of the old school like Jeanne Cooper & Susan Flannery she actually has worked hard I think SF would have been thrilled also if she had won it.

wasn’t commenting on her hip or talent, was just curious about her face as it looks different to me. I think Susan Flannery should have won instead of Heather Tom.
