Kristoff St. John Returning To Work At Y&R!

Great news to report! Daytime Emmy winner, Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) is headed back to Genoa City and The Young and the Restless!
Following a four-month hiatus from the show, according to EW.com, the popular actor will be returning to tape new episodes beginning the week of March 12th.
St. John had been battling depression, following the death of his son Julian who died via suicide three years ago.
When Neil Winters was last seen, he left the canvas to go take care of his son Moses, after his ex-Sofia had been in a car accident.
In a recent post on Instagram, St. John shared some pics of his new haircut with the words: “The comeback kid. I’m ready.”
Glad to hear Kristoff will be back on Y&R and delivering those great performances we all know and love? Comment below.
I have missed Neil Winters, and I am glad his character has been course-corrected in recent years. I would like to see Sofia and Moses back on canvas to fill out the Winters family.
I would tune in more if Olivia returned…
I am glad he is doing better and is well enough to go back to work, and he looks great in his instagram photo– but to be honest I haven’t missed the character Neil at all–perhaps now that he is better the writers can give Neil a real story and make Neil interesting relevant again.
hi Mary…
I haven’t missed Neil, either. ..
That character is like wallpaper, just there. I never cared for Neil one way or another.
As you, hoping he might be relevant this time around.
Neil was best with Dru, su and Mary…..you are both right, though, he hascnot been relevant, except for starting the Winters/Hamilton thingy….not that I care.
He has, also, had a hard time of it in his personal life….the death of one’s child can tur one’s world upside-down….one becomes removed from it all…..it takes time to heal—iif ever, completely—
Perhaps, relying upon ‘showing up’ for work was very tenuous for Kristoff.
Let’s hope he is healed, body and mind….and, he does need a story that catches us by surprise.
I know—–have a baby with Hilary!!!! HaHa….that’ll light a fire under Devon’s little-boy-knickers straight into manhood.
Hi Celia, I so agree with you that Neil was best with Dru…I wish him nothing but the best..
Welcome back, Kristoff—we’ve missed you!!!
As a fan of Y&R since the mid eighties, Neil has always been one of my most favorite, and in my opinion, one of the most underused characters on the show. I always loved his scenes with Lily, even though she can be whiny and annoying at times. Maybe now Victoria can have a new ear to whine to about nobody wanting “to play with her” at work. With that being said, it is nice to see Mr. St. John in good health, and wish him nothing but good luck and happiness as he moves forward. Looking forward to his first air date
Y&R – NEEDS to cut their losses… Devon ???? what for
i’m certain their are a multitude of MEN out their – who want their opportunity.
RECAST
bring the Winters Family up to par. tell Lily to tone it down.. take her down too.
Kristoff deserves fellow actors who will sear drive AND spotlight, some fun.
if we are stuck with Devon and Lily… BRING BACK Drucilla. otherwise , unfortunately… Neil is the only Winter Character who works
Welcome back, Kristoff. Your fans love you and missed you……I wish you peace of mind…..when the mind is at peace, the body follows….healing…healthy!!
Thrilled to know our “Neil” is returning.
Victoria needs a break next!
The character is on every day . its overkill..
Neil needs to fire Hilary and end the idiocy that is the hilary hour and the devin/ hilary merigo-round!
The winters need some love now after all the abbott reuniting its the winters turn!. Bring back Olivia to be a sounding board for Neip and lily …and to finally have simeone put Hilary in her place!
With Neil back i think the cast needs some more shaking up ..
Phylis s character as played by Gina is expendable..let her go until Michelle Stafford rightfully returns!
Bring Tricia Cast back as a big return and put her in Billys life while he circles Lily and tries to break up her and Cane!. Billy and Nina in the Chancelor estate with visits from jill would be cant miss!
I agree with you about what you said about Nina and Billy. Jill would completely flip out. Andwe would get some wonderful fight scenes between two terrific vets. I say bring it on!!!
How WONDERFUL ‼️‼️‼️ Kristoff/Neil has been sorely missed.
Mr St. John, you have been missed. So glad you’re on your game again. Grief and loss are hard to overcome. I’m pulling for you SIR!!! Hope Neil gets a great story. I could be a total smarty pants and wish for something silly but I am glad he’s back to his strong self again so I will just wish him well and wish him a great run on Y&R.
GLAD TO HEAR THIS NEWS. GIVE THIS MAN SOME GOOD WRITING!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome back Kris
Good news. I hope Kristoff is healthy. I think Devon and Lily need their dad.
Mail Young will probably bring him back and make him a axe murderer since he has decided to bring the character of JT back and make him a abuser. Sigh!! KSJ very happy to hear you are doing well and back on the set.
I’m glad that Kristoff St. John is well enough to return to work. However i do wonder if Y&R will not make him work that hard at first but give him time to settle back in.
I’m glad that God is blessing you to regain your health. May you continue to progress everyday.
What happened?
Finally, the conscience, the intellect, the patriarch, of the Winter’s family is coming back. Gee, I have really missed Neil, and I mean this.
Really, I can no longer tolerate Hillary dictating the conflict of the Winter’s family which seems predicated upon her indecision as to how to conceive a child or which shoulder to expose with her choice of attire.
Welcome back Kristoff St. John. Praying for your continued recovery!
Days Of Our Lives
Emily O’ Brien Confirmed as Theresa Donovan Replacement on Days of our Lives

At the end of the October 2nd episode of Days of our Lives, and during its closing credits, Emily O’ Brien was listed in the cast playing the role of Theresa Donovan, which confirms the rumors that Emily is taking over the role from Jen Lilley.
So, what does this mean for O’Brien? Does this mean she is exiting her role of Gwen Rizczech, a part she has played since 2020? It would seem so, but this is DAYS after all, so anything is possible.
As the backstage story goes, Jen Lilley, who had played the role of Theresa on and off since 2013, wanted to appear for a limited-run to be a part of the memorial service episodes for Victor Kiriakis, and honoring the late, John Aniston. Lilley often shared scenes with Aniston.

In speaking with Soaps.com on the situation, Lilley thought she was taping episodes during a 3 to 4 window in which she made herself available. However, DAYS actually wrote more episodes of Theresa’s story, and had decided to recast the part with O’Brien Later, when Jen was told who the actress is, she was a bit mystified as they also told her that the show would put the actress in a blonde wig, because O’Brien was a brunette.

General Hospital Preemptions This Week for MLB Wild Card Playoff Games

This week, General Hospital will be preempted on Tuesday, October 4 and Wednesday, October 5, and potentially again on Thursday October 6, due to Major League Baseball’s wild card playoff games airing on ABC.
In the best of 3 games, the Texas Rangers face the Tampa Bay Rays in an American League wild card series, starting on Tuesday with a 3:08PM EST start time. If the series goes a full three games, then Thursday’s GH will also be preempted.
Encore episodes of GH will be seen on the east coast on Tuesday and Wednesday, while all other time zones will be preempted for the game.

In addition, GH will not be streaming the episodes on Hulu or ABC.com as is it a nationwide preemption. That way, everyone will begin to see the all-new episodes on the same day when they resume.

Hopefully, Thursday, GH will resume with an episode that teases: Spencer and Trina affirm their feelings, Tracy has a slip of the tongue, Valentin surprises Anna, and Sasha is in danger.

Gregory Harrison Talks His General Hospital ALS Storyline, Battling Addiction, ‘Falcon Crest’ on Maurice Benard’s ‘State of Mind’

Film and TV star, Gregory Harrison is currently appearing on ABC’s General Hospital in the role of Gregory Chase. In story, Gregory is trying to come to the terms with the fact he has ALS and is now displaying symptoms of the disease that will ultimately claim his life.
On the latest episode of Maurice Benard’s (Sonny, General Hospital) You Tube series State of Mind, the actor opens up about the challenges of playing a character with ALS, how he has battled addiction, his prime role on Trapper John M.D and Falcon Crest and much more.
In fact, it’s actually the the 40th anniversary of Harrison’s solo TV Guide cover as Dr. George Alonzo “Gonzo” Gates on Trapper John, M.D.

Photo: ABC
Speaking on his General Hospital storyline, and Gregory Chase’s battle with ALS, Harrison detailed: “He’s a complicated character any way, but we’ve added now ALS into the equation and that’s a really fun technical calibration for me. It’s a relatively quick demise – three to five years, generally for ALS, and it moves along pretty quickly. The body deteriorates pretty quickly and things happen, and there is an emotional kind of reaction to those that my character has. My character reacts to the loss of things and that’s what I am starting to be able to play.”
Harrison added, on how he is playing the nuances of ALS in the scripts he is given, “Where am I going to put in that slip and fall? Where am I going to put in that tremor in my hand? Where I am going to put in the stumble, or the slur of this word or that word? That’s real technical stuff, but I have to layer that on top of emotional honesty of what’s going on. So, for me, it’s a buffet and I love that.”
Benard and Harrison also delved into the fact that Gregory he has been sober for 36 years. Harrison opened about how addiction changed his personality at a time when his career was riding high: “If I was the kind of person who would be regretful, then I would say that during my prime, I was busy using all my acting skills to disguise my addiction instead of building my career. ”

As his fame rose, Harrison also started his own production company. He admitted to Benard, that at the time, he was barely getting through jobs and projects: “I could act, but I wasn’t doing as good as I should have been doing. I was just persevering … pouring massive amounts of energy into enduring my addiction … not into the creative artist that I was inspired to be. And then I found my way back.” At one point, Harrison sought help at the renowned Betty Ford Center. Gregory shared that he had to hit rock bottom, in order to build himself back up again.
At the conclusion of the episode, Maurice asked Gregory how he enjoyed being part of the cast of the defunct CBS primetime soap, Falcon Crest, to which Harrison said he loved playing the role of Michael Sharp back in 1990. He compared that character to the likes of Port Charles’ Sonny Corinthos.
Check out Maurice and Gregory’s conversation below.
