I really enjoyed Jason/Patrick and Mura/Ava’s talk.. So much insight!

Alison Sweeney absolutely has to win and will win – it’s her year. Gina Tognoni submitted a great episode, yes, but she’s not Phyllis. I love and adore Maura West, but that’s a really poor submission imo (the induced labor epi was her best work in 2014). Very disappointed that Gina and Maura praised each other and not Alison. LOVED Alison’s heartfelt responses and her praise for Peggy McCay’s scene (but McCay should not have been nominated in the LEAD actress category). Also: Jason Thompson deserves to win this year, not Anthony Geary. Actually, all my acting picks would be first-time winners: Sweeney, Thompson, LoCicero, Duell, Pullos, Smith, and Baxter (Donna Mills is in 2nd place for me). Great episode, lots of fun, and I learned that JT submitted a GREAT scene, where Robin is leaving again!

Those are the ones you believe should win..
The judges could feel differently..
I feel Maura should win and Tony .. see how that works LOL
ALL were very good now it comes down to the judges tastes ..

yes.. Mauras labor episode was great but.. she was in the scene with Donna Mills and Michelle Stafford, so not a good choice to submit..

The bottom line Days is always the bridesmaid never the bride! I hope Allison takes it that is the only one I care about! The rest same old story.

Very cool podcast, so glad to be enjoying the energy! No one is obnoxious, just fun-loving. Donna Mills remains an eternal optimist, a total class act. Thanks Micheal. (Gina, by the way…breath of fresh air…she brings a bit of east coast to the west…I like that!)

DAYS’ Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes On Doug and Julie’s Emotional Scenes: “We Didn’t Have To Act Them. The Love Between Us Played Them For Us.”

If you have been witnessing this week’s episodes of NBC’s Days of our Lives, you know that Julie suffered a massive heart attack that has rocked Doug to his core, and has made the once invincible Julie devastated that she may not survive this medical crisis to continue her enduring love with her husband.

The heart attack which came about after Julie minced words with Gabi (Camila Banus), has given veteran stars and Lifetime Achievement Daytime Emmy Award recipients, Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes, some emotional and heartfelt material to play.  As everyone knows, the popular duo has been married in real-life for decades.

On their official Twitter handle DaysHayes, the couple shared this tweet to their followers: “Those scenes between Doug and Hope, and the ones between Doug and Julie were so beautifully written, we didn’t have to act them. The love between us played them for us. Thank you, Ron!”

Of course, Bill and Susan were referencing Days of our Lives head writer, Ron Carlivati for this storyline and giving them these impactful scenes to play which mean so much to them and the longtime DAYS viewing audience.

So, what have you thought about the recent Doug and Julie scenes, since Julie suffered a heart attack?  What do you think of giving vets like Bill and Susan the ball in this storyline? Comment below.

Then in the twist at John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) wedding anniversary shindig, it was revealed that the woman masquerading as “Nicole” was actually Kristen, thus devastating Anna knowing that Tony knowingly married his own sister as part of plot to gain control of DiMera Enterprises.  She later learns Tony has to spend time behind bars for shooting Ted Laurent, and has to say goodbye to him as he serves time after finding him again.

Leann chats with host Michael Fairman as she weighs-in on the latest story plot, working with her dear friend Thaao Penghlis , the men in Anna’s life through the years, and how the series has written her character over the years and more.

Later, Stacy Haiduk (Kristen) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole)  sit down with Michael and talk about the sisterhood they have formed since learning that Ari would be playing Kristen in disguise.  The dynamic duo share their thoughts on the making of, and the moment of the big reveal when John figures it all out and unmasks Kristen in front of the guests at the Jarlena wedding reception, as Brady (Eric Martsolf) is beyond duped!  In addition, both Stacy and Ari share that they are looking forward for viewers to now see the return of the real Nicole, and that Kristen will no longer be hiding under a mask, and more.
