Daytime Emmy winner, Robin Strasser of One Life to Live shared exclusively with TV Guide Canada’s Suds Report her thoughts and sympathies at the passing of the original Dorian, Nancy Pinkerton Peabody, as the news broke earlier this week of the actresses passing on March 4th.

Strasser stated, “I feel enormous gratitude to Nancy Pinkerton because it was her great talent as an actress, her intelligence as a woman, and her humorous and feisty energy as a human being that birthed Dorian Cramer. I am playing the delicious part, due in large part to the unique and dedicated artist that Nancy was.  I am the third and fifth actress to play Dorian. Nancy Pinkerton was the first, Claire Malis the second, I was the third, Elaine Princi the fourth, and then, I returned and became the fifth … a distinction that amuses me to note. We all bit into the role with the gusto and relish it truly deserves. But I think of the four of us who have played the part, Nancy and I were wired most alike. I was a big fan of hers, because yes, I watched One Life then.

I was handed her obituary by a crew member, and was saddened to learn she had passed so young. However, her solid relationship with her long-time partner, her activism in her community and business acumen, just validated what one might have predicted if you had known her only casually.I felt like a kindred spirit with her, even though it had been more than 30 years since we last spoke. I learned from her obituary that she was born on May 7.  I wish I had known that bit of personal intel before so I could at least have once called to wish Nancy, “Happy Birthday! Now that I know, I won’t forget to light a candle in her memory. And I won’t forget because May 7 is my birthday, too!”

B&B’s Denise Richards Reveals Her Husband Aaron Phypers Will Be Stand-In During Ridge Forrester Intimate Scenes

On Tuesday’s edition of CBS Daytime’s The Talk@Home, The Bold and the Beautiful and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Denise Richards (Shauna) appeared on the series.

During her segment, Denise discussed how she felt about B&B being the first American TV show back in production amidst the coronavirus pandemic and if she felt safe returning to work.  Richards also discussed how the love scenes and more intimate moments of the series will be done either with real-life partners standing in for their on-screen love interests, or a blow-up doll.

Denise expressed: “I’m excited to go back to work. I think it’s important for us to also be safe, but to move forward. And Brad Bell [executive producer and head writer, B&B) has implemented a very safe environment, I feel, for all of us, so I think it’s important.”

As to the COVID-19 testing protocols, Richards explained:  “Every week we’re tested. If there are more than two actors, we have mannequins. If there is an intimate scene, they’ve asked us if our significant other can step in for that person. Otherwise, we’ll be doing a love scene with a doll.”

It was then Denise confirmed that her husband, Aaron Phypers, will be stepping in for intimate scenes with love interest Ridge Forrester, played by Thorsten Kaye: “He (Phypers) is standing in. And he came with me today. He had to have his COVID test too, every week the whole cast does. He starts standing in next week.”

Who Will Be B&B’s New Love Interest For Steffy Forrester?

The Bold and the Beautiful is back in production, the first soap to do so amidst the coronavirus pandemic, and there has been much speculation and talk for awhile now as to just what the future holds in story for one of its leading stars, Daytime Emmy-winner, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester).

It appears that instead of re-treading a romance for Steffy with Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) or his son, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), the series is about to bring in some new suitors into Steffy’s romantic life!

According to B&B’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, he has big plans for Jacqui in the months ahead, as he related to TV Insider.

When Bell was asked about the new love interest coming in to the show for Steffy,  he revealed: “We have a great story coming up for Jacqui. Steffy has been committed to her work, her daughter Kelly…but people have been wondering when a new man will enter her life. He’s coming. She’ll have a period of time where, in fact, quite a few men will be after her – as they should be. She’s spectacular and unique. I’m thrilled to say that this next chapter will be very much about Steffy. I always feel comfortable putting drama in the hands of Jacqui Wood.”

In addition, recently on  The Michael Fairman Channel’s recent Daytime-Emmy virtual chat with Wood, Scott Clifton and Heather Tom, the actress also alluded to a potential new love interest for Steffy, too.   You can watch that below.

So, who would you suggest to play opposite Jacqueline MacInnes Wood as her new love interest?  Share your casting thoughts via the comment section.
