Over the last week, actors, colleagues, and fans have paid tribute and shared their remembrances of Days of our Lives’ Peggy McCay (Caroline Brady) who passed away at the age of 90.

One of Peggy’s most cherished and longtime scene partners was none other than Peter Reckell, who played the iconic Bo Brady, and was Caroline’s son.  This on-screen mother/son duo shared a bond like no other in Salem.

This weekend, Peter shared his thoughts on working with the Emmy-winning actress, who was also nominated four times for a Daytime Emmy, by taking to social media on the loss of the matriarch of the Brady clan.

Peter expressed via his tweet:  “I was so fortunate to have worked with some amazing actors that shaped the actor and person I am .Looking in Peggy’s eyes, all I could see was a Mom who loved me, and wanted the best for me. She was always so committed to the story. Those sparkling eyes RIP”

After a fan put together a tribute of Bo and Caroline scenes through the years on You Tube and shared it with Reckell, he responded back with: “This is beautiful! Brought back so many wonderful memories. She truly was a powerful, loving presence, I miss her so much. Thanks for putting this together for all of us who love her. Lots of love.”

I was so relieved to see PR return for what I believed would be (and was) his final scenes with Peggy. She, being in her condition, was most likely the impetus for his return.

Hi, 4ever!!!!….. I’ve missed you….more than you know!! Missed your witty quips, LOL. Yes, ‘impetus’ is THE word!! Too sad–may Peggy’s sleep be peaceful, and happy…..perhaps she’ll see my Great-grandmother, who was a great fan…..loved her…as do I !! Off topic—-it never fails to amaze me how soaps’ themes, plots, suspense, and stupidity are forever unoriginal. Once Eric found Nicole’s incriminating recording of her killing Damos; why not run? Wasn’t that the point?…..so, ok, he had to listen to it to make sure it was, indeed, the right recording…..but, instead or getting the heck ‘outta’ there, he leisurely pulls out… Read more »

Hello, Celia! I’ve missed you and everyone else. I was on sabbatical…away from the internet for a little over seven months.
I’m sure your great grandmother is at peace just like Peggy. And I hope we all live happy long lives like they did.
The stupid things in soaps could sometimes be a test to see if we’re paying attention (wink).

The Bold and the Beautiful to Dedicate Episode to Betty White On What Would Have Been Her 100th Birthday

Television legend, Betty White, who passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 99, will have the upcoming Monday, January 17th of The Bold and the Beautiful dedicated to her.

What makes the choosing of this date to honor White s so meaningful is that it would have marked Betty’s 100th birthday.

Within her storied career, Betty played Ann Douglas on The Bold and the Beautiful – the mother to Pam and Stephanie.  She made her final appearances on B&B in 2009 when the show killed-off the character.

White, passed away a few weeks ago on New Year’s Eve, and earlier this week it came to light that she suffered a stroke six days before her death.

Pictured in this post are Alley Mills (Pam_, the late Lee Phillip Bell (Co-creator B&B and Y&R), Betty White and Susan Flannery (Ex-Stephanie).

So, what do you think of B&B honoring Betty on what would have been her 100th birthday by dedicating the episode to her? Comment below.
