Remembering Neil Winters: This Week on The Young and the Restless
It’s time to say goodbye to one of the most enduring characters of The Young and the Restless when Genoa City mourns the death of Neil Winters in emotional episodes beginning tomorrow on the April 23rd episode of the top-rated CBS Daytime drama series.
Y&R taped this heartbreaking storyline several weeks back as a proper send-off to Kristoff St. John, who played Neil for over 28 years before he passed away this past February.
Neil’s death and its impact will be felt throughout Genoa City. On Monday, in preparation for the upcoming 4 episodes, CBS Daytime released its “Remembering Neil Winters” promo.
In it, Lily (Christel Khalil), Victor (Eric Braeden), Devon (Bryton James), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and the returning Malcolm (guest star, Shemar Moore) later in the week, are overcome with sadness and emotion as they have to face life without Neil.
Watch the promo below, and let us know that you will be watching as we remember this special character and the man who portrayed him via the comment section below.
Oh gosh yes I’ll be watching. Watching and crying. The promo was heartbreaking already.
If only Tonya Lee Williams was able to be a part!
Right
I already have an unopened box of tissues ready to go. Kristoff St. John was always my favorite. To me, no one was Neil Winters but him. Hopefully, he is getting the peace he so rightfully deserves. Heaven has another angel.
So sad.
Mr. St. John will be missed. I am so glad in recent couple of years the character Neil Winters was redeemed. I loved how he bonded again with Devon. Always loved him with Lily. There was so much more and sadly we will never have that. It will be an emotional week. When such events happen, it reminds us daytime drama really is family for the casts and the audiences. It is something special.
I agree lakovos. It’s to bad the genre is slowly fading fast.
Kathrine Chancellor didnt get this farewell!
I might be wrong..
Was Katherine Chancellor a one day/episode remembering goodbye?
and
Neil Winters is getting 4 episodes of goodbye.
Which is getting the longest big time played out bye bye?
Is Neils over-shining Katherine’s ??
What the problem they both died
Condolences..Yes most Definitely will be watching!
So sad
Watching the past two episodes have been very difficult. It reflects how much the actor and character was truly loved.
Yesterday’s episode when Devon told Lily was so sad, but I know more is to come. Lily breaking down at the end was heartbreaking.
I wish we would have had more Neil scenes, but Mal seemed to not want to include him. I’m sure the tribute episodes will contain flashbacks and I look forward to those.
I didn’t watch when Neil first came on and then Neil and Dru. I didn’t always like Neil’s storylines, but Kristoff’s acting was seamless. He was comfortable. Still can’t believe he’s gone.
I will definitely be watching, I’m already in tears. RIP Kristoff, you will be greatly missed. 🙁
Olivia should been there too
I have to DVR the episodes; I will definitely be watching. I greatly miss the actor & character.
The tribute to Neil is so beautiful in his honor,I do believe that he was a beautiful man on the inside and out.
Had my tissyes
Had my tissues ready today. The scenes with Devon and Lili were so real, and knowing how sad they all are in real life with the loss of Kristoff St.John makes it doubly sad. We know they aren’t crying crocodile tears. As fans, our grief can not compare to what these people are feeling, after knowing and being with him for years on a daily basis. On another note, it will be nice seeing Shamar Moore back, even for a little while as Malcolm. He’s so different in his role on S.W.A.T, but still shows love and compassion when called for. I am wondering if they will address the fact that he is Lili’s bio father, due to the one time thing with Dru. I don’t see a need, since there will be no on going SL with him.
Today, was a truly sad day for Genoa City, and for those who loved KS–Kristoff’s untimely death became a reality for me, somehow; albeit, he has been gone a few weeks.
I felt “Lily’s” and “Devon’s” pain–the tears were real and sincere. I cried right along with them. God Bless, Kristoff–RIP.
hi Celia..
I didn’t watch it; don’t care to sit through a funeral- they are unpleasant things..
I scrolled bottom bar looking for other than the funeral but the whole of the episode was the funeral, not my thing to bring that sad stuff into my life.
And- it made you cry! see! it made you sad 🙁
I cry easily, SusieQ—a certain smell, a photograph, places…..that’s all it takes. I’m OK–part of my life. Funny thing but, I smile through my tears. Memories are precious–not always sad. Every time I look into my husband’s eyes, or my children’s, I see my baby. It’s comforting.
Thanks for your sentiment.❤️
Celia, I am right along with you for I also cry easily…Celia, you sound like a compassionate, kind, sweet woman…or I should say you are…
Thank you, Kevin….I feel the same way about you. You are one of the kindest people on these sites.❤️
THANKS Celia, I just now seen this…THANK YOU for your kind words…
❤️
Such a sad, heart wrenching goodbye to say and I’ve had to say far, far to many of them. ESPECIALLY in the past 5 years. In it sooner I’ve lost my mother, grandmother, my mother’s oldest sister, my God mother. EVEN my 45 year old cousin. And I MYSELF had a MASSIVE stroke and died 3 times on the operating table. It was surely by the grace of God that I’m here TODAY THANK YOU LORD FOR GIVING ME BACK TO MY ITTY BITTY BABIES ❤️ MY DEAR HEAVENLY FATHER. And this matter is far, way too CLOSE to my family’s heart. I just hope my children, (though they are 22&23) do not watch this week. For it would be way, way to Painful for them. For all of the friends and family may God be with you, and carry you through. May He hold your hand when you need someone to walk with you. May He carry you when CANNOT walk or stand alone. But trust in Him and let Him help you through. Good bless you.
Felicia
Thank you for your kind words. I try to be encouraged , but it’s very hard right now. My time with my daughter, gets shorter every day, as she is in a nursing home with terminal lung cancer.Have to just take one day at a time, try not to despair, but than I read something like your comments, and although they weren’t sent directly to me, I have to thank you again. God bless.
Violet, my dear, dear Violet…..if anyone knows your torture, it is I—and every other mother who watched her child take his/her last breath.
I am with you, my friend…..you will find peace with the help of family, and your faith, albeit at times, it seems that the Heavens have forgotten about you. Believe me. He is there watching and lifting you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.❤️
Celia
Thank you so much for your kind words, and understanding. I don’t like being a downer, but couldn’t help myself after reading Felicia’s comments. These sites and soaps are an escape from my real world, where I don’t feel so useless, and I can lose myself, and lock all my thoughts up for a while. Thank you again my dear.
❤️

I’ve been watching Y&R since it’s first day, and I wouldn’t miss the tribute to Kristoff St.John for nothing in this world, i’ll be glue to the TV as thousands if not millions of fans will be watching too. Rest In Peace gentle man you’ll always be miss. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I just now finished watching April 25 episode, WOW, so extremely emotional and very well done…
I had the pleasure of meeting MR. St John…..may you forever r.i.p. you will be missed .. I have not watched the show yet…..but I know it will be a very emotional time when I do….
What a touching, beautiful & gut~wrenching episode beginning Wednesday April 24, 2019. Kristoff St. John, aka Neil Winters, brought an intellectual & incredible class that has dazzled us since 1991, as we all watched him & other characters & actors literally grow up. Kristoff, I pray you & your son are resting in internal peace. Thank you for all the decades of great memories. You are & will continue to be missed.
Today the Memorial episode airs in Canada, one day sooner than the U.S. My daughter and I have been watching and have listen to the session on MichealFaiman.com. We have cried so much that our Ontario towns and Cities are flooded…lol. Kristoff’s comedic self will be missed as well as his Iconic(Shamar & Kristoff’s word) role as Neil. As Fans we had him in our home through our television sets.We loved him dearly and cherish what he brought to our lives…love & laughter. Thanx to the Y&R and social media we as fans have been able to be a part of the off set life by witnessing through these avenues some very special insights to the real person behind the script. Thank Kristoff for all the ways you touched our world. You will be missed.
Every episode of this past week was exceptional, the Y&R I remember and love…THANK YOU to all the cast and crew…

‘General Hospital’ Fall 2026 Preview: Unexpected Arrivals and Romance; Sonny and Drew at War, What Happened to Jack?

General Hospital’s co-head writers, Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte have given the ABC daytime drama’s fall preview of what to look for in the months ahead in Port Charles.
According to the scribes, as told to TV Insider, “Unexpected arrivals, unexpected romance and unexpected connections,” are the order of the season, plus, “secrets are going to be exposed that will upend lives for better and worse — and new secrets will need to be kept.”
In the relationship department, don’t expect everything to go the way you may think! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights that point to some major moments in the near future on GH.

Photo: ABC
ROMEO AND JULIET
“The conflict between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will continue to build with potentially fatal consequences,” shared the head writers as Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) relationship gets more solid, the more it will be tried to be pulled apart, especially by Drew. This is what they are calling their “Romeo and Juliet” young love story.
BURYING JACK BRENNAN
Nina (Cynthia Watros) will be in the hot seat, thanks to evidence planted by Drew and Carly (Laura Wright) overhearing her threatening the MIA Jack. According to the GH head writers, “Nina may face a dark future — but perhaps not as dark a future as those who seek her downfall.” Meanwhile Ava (Maura West) and Drew’s unholy alliance will have “repercussions for years to come.” Let’s not forget they buried Jack’s body.
JASON AND BRITT MAY NOT LAST
Those who wanted Jason (Steve Burton) and Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) romance to come to an end, may get their wish! As the head scribes shared, “Decisions Britt made to stay alive while under (Ross) Cullum’s thumb will come back to haunt her and may prove too difficult for this unlikely couple to survive.”

Photo: ABC
ANNA’S BREAKING POINT AND CAN VALENTIN STAY AWAY ?
As for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), who Jason is trying to save and who has lost her way (thanks to visions of Peter August) and being gaslighted by Cullum and company, it will, “lead to her breaking point and may lead another person to an early grave.” On that note, Carly and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) relationship is tested after his attempt to buy back Spoon Island. Only problem is someone else got their first, and it may be hard for Valentin to deny his feelings for Anna aren’t greater than he thinks.

BROOK LYNN’S LIFE AS SHE KNOWS IT BLOWS UP IN HER FACE
The writers added, “Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) face a turning point. Her secret may finally unravel their marriage; worse, it may leave the family vulnerable when someone comes calling with a claim on Phoebe.” Will Chase now hop between the sheets with his ex Willow? And, will Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) stake his claim to be the father of the little Phoebe? How can Brook Lynn’s life as she knows it survive this?
TRINA’S STALKER … WHO IS IT?
Does Trina (Tabyana Ali) have a stalker … or a true number one genuine fan? Whatever the case, something ominous is going to happen to Kai (Jen Austin Astrup), when the GH writers shared, “Kai is true blue and will step up to defend Trina— but his closeness to Trina may prove detrimental to his health.” In addition, the stalker situation pairs up Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina to try get to the bottom of who is behind it, but in doing so, may have put a target on Emma’s back.

‘BLOODY’ SITUATION WHERE JOSSLYN IS CONCERNED
Josslyn Eden McCoy) gets new orders from the WSB after Brennan goes missing, and things may get “bloody” report the writers. They add, “Joss has her sights set on Sonny — but she’s a target, too. JJE is a big prize, and she isn’t the only one entitled to it.” Who else could be?

PAST ROMANCE FOR ALEXIS COMES BACK AROUND
Could Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ric (Rick Hearst) find themselves in each other’s arms? According to the GH head writers, “A past romance will rear its head in a surprising way,” for Alexis. Who else could it be if not Ric, who may feel jilted by Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) if she and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) get any closer? Might it be the return of Jerry Jacks?
MICHAEL AND JORDAN BECOME CLOSE
Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) will develop a “special bond” while working together at Aurora and while Curtis (Donnell Turner) is away in prison. However, “a face from Jordan’s past will complicate her future. We’ll start to learn more about the woman Jordan was before she ever joined the DEA and came to Port Charles.” Is this William Baines (Alimi Ballard) or someone else yet to arrive? Stay tuned.
So, which of the story points listed above pique’s your interest the most? Are you excited about the fall on General Hospital? Let us know your thoughts via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Promo: Women on the Edge

General Hospital has released their official video teaser for all-new episodes starting today on September 8 through September 11. In it, several women in Port Charles have reached their breaking point. Who will do or say something they cannot come back from? Let’s take a look!
First, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) in tears and who is wracked with guilt, might be forced to admit her cover-up in driving a car after having a bit to drink to get to her son Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) performance. Brook Lynn believes she was the driver of the other car involved in Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) car accident.
In the Quartermaine living room, Trina confronts her with, “Were you the driver who kept going and left them there to die?” What will BLQ say? And, is the moment that Chase (Josh Swickard) is so fed up with his wife, he hightails it to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen)? Stay tuned.

SIX FEET UNDER
Then, with Jack out of the picture (and buried six feet under), Drew (Cameron Mathison) feels vindicated and that he holds all the cards and confronts his now ex-wife for shooting him in the back. Willow blurts out with indignation, “Prove it!” Will this be Willow’s ultimate downfall or Drew’s?
Next, WSB agent Baines (Alimi Ballard) is on the case of Brennan’s disappearance and confronts Carly (Laura Wright) and says, “When was the last time you saw Jack Brennan?”
Will she flip the situation and throw shade at Nina (Cynthia Watros) and tell Baines she heard and saw Nina threatening to kill Jack? We already know Drew is setting Nina to take the fall for Jack’s murder, too!
INTO THE WOODS
Finally, Jason (Steve Burton) has located Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Anna (Finola Hughes) in the woods. He asks Anna to stop, just as it appears she is going to pull the trigger and end the life of Dr. Britt Westbourne.
Shots are fired after Anna says, “This has to end tonight!” Do you think anyone was on the receiving end of a bullet, or did Jason save the day?
Check out the official GH promo for this week entitled “The Fallout Continues” below and our previously reported additional spoilers for the action in Port Charles here.
Now weigh-in: Do you think GH has several ladies on the brink of disaster? Who do you think will end up A-OK, and whose life do you think may be vastly altered by week’s end? Let us know your thoughts and theories via the comment section.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Trina Demands Answers from Brook Lynn, Scout Questions Rocco, and Can Anna Pull the Trigger on Britt?

This week on General Hospital, the week kicks-off on Labor Day with a rebroadcast of the special episode dedicated to Anthony Geary (ex-Luke Spencer). The eight-time Daytime Emmy winning star passed away in December of 2025 and come February 2026, GH crafted a tribute in his honor with the story centering on Luke’s daughter, Lulu (Alexa Havins) mourning the loss of her father.
Then, all-new episodes begin on Tuesday, September 8 and in the video teaser for it, Trina (Tabyana Ali) continues confronting Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) at the Quartermaines, demanding to know if BLQ was behind the wheel of the other car that “caused” the accident that injured Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and her father Curtis (Donnell Turner), who is now spending jail time after being found guilty of assaulting Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) believing he was the other driver who caused the accident.
Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarksi) questions Rocco (Finn Carr), if their first kiss together was “OK?” What will be his answer? Meanwhile, Isaiah continues to question Ava (Maura West), wanting to know where she has been in the last 24 hours that she would have had a very dangerous tick stuck in her scalp? What will she say to get out of the fact that along with Drew (Cameron Mathison), she was burying Jack Brennan’s body in the woods.

Photo: ABC
Then, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is seen talking with Sonny (Maurice Benard), where she says, “It’s time to change tactics!” Most likely, she is talking about dealing with Drew’s threats. Meanwhile, Drew is on the warpath and Ava tries to talk him down by saying, “Don’t you think calling the sheriff is a little extreme?” Why does Drew want to call the sheriff?
Finally, in the pick up from last Friday’s cliffhanger where Anna (Finola Hughes) pulled a gun on Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) in the middle of nowhere, Anna says, “I’m not going to let you stop me!” Who is she talking to? Is it Jason (Steve Burton) who found out Britt’s location … or Britt herself? Stay tuned.
