Rob Scott Wilson has been one busy guy!  First, becoming the first male model ever in the history of CBS’ top rated daytime game show, The Price is Right! And while there, he landed the role of Pete Cortlandt in the online reboot of All My Children!  And then, came word officially yesterday that Rob is actually been at Days of our Lives as the recast for the role of Ben, replacing Justin Gatson in the role.

This morning, Rob shared his sentiments on his final The Price is Right episode that airs today, and moving on full-time to Salem, and most importantly being from Boston, Rob remembers  the anniversary of the tragic Boston Marathon bombing today on his Instagram account.

Wilson shared:  “As you all may or may not have seen, my last taped episode of #PriceIsRight aired this morning. I thank God for such an amazing experience/opportunity and for being a part of history.  That’s all I ever wanted.  But in NO WAY am I leaving for a bad reason, some of you may have already read, but it’s for a GREAT reason… And I can’t wait for you all to see it unfold. Stay Tuned, and as always thank you all for your continued love and support. And lets not forget the most important part of today, 1 year anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing. Thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected 1 year ago xoxo #BostonStrong”

Rob also tweeted his acknowledgement of his time on The Price is Right:  “Thank you ALL for your love and support! @PriceIsRight will always have a place in my heart and my journey. Many new things on the horizon!”

I still think he shouldve played a recast Chad…unless Ben and Jordan turn out to be Eve’s children or get this story moving Days may no longer be my no.1 soap!!!

Hi jimh, I think the new Ben looks more like Jordan, which is good because they are Eve’s twin sons! The story could be slow because of the subject matter. The stalled talks with Charlotte Ross before settling with Kassie DePaiva could have slowed things down too. I think things are looking up! If I’m right, who would you like the father(s) of the “twins” to be: Frankie and or Jack or someone different?

Forever Days:Frankie should be the father…if the show goes that way!

4everDAYS did Eve have twin boys? I hope that they are related to Eve but was Jeanie/Teresa born when Eve was still on the show? If so then the ages don’t match up for Jordan. Maybe Ben is Eve’s son but Jordan is older and her step daughter.

It’s funny, looking at his photo, I thought it was the actor who played Chad. I hope he brings some excitement to the boring Jordan, Rafe, Ben “mystery” storyline.

BTripp, It has never been mentioned that Eve had children. Jeanie/Theresa is Eve’s half sister. The ages of Jordan and Ben have not been revealed.

Surprised CBS let him get away—- but trust me NBC and DAYS will have him Shirtless in Salem in no time, which I suspect is the main reason for switching Ben, this guy has better ABS LOL.

LOL…. i’m certain.. he’ll be featured nonetheless… I do have to agree : with the actor… who portrays, Nathan… on GH he is far and away the winner in this category… and in hindsight… or full on headlights… should be Oye! thank Goodness… Britt and Nathan… are : safe Levi… is a little out there… and it’s not his doing… but… he reminds me of done over.. Bruce Jenner… all the national enquirer.. speculation.. that he’s in the TRANS – for – mation mode… fits this actor to a T off track: but… doesn’t Levi ring true… on a comparative…… Read more »

Hopefully he will have some interesting lines on the show as the character Ben – so far, Ben has been kind of an uninteresting role.

How to be an Actor on a Soap Opera:

1.) Know your lines
2.) Look good with your shirt off
3.) Master that inquisitive look as the scene fades to commercial
4.) Look good with your shirt off
5.) Polish your teeth
6.) Practice that “sincere” look
7.) Look good with your shirt off

Eva LaRue Reveals COVID-19 Diagnosis

During former All My Children, B&B and GH star, Jacob Young’s podcast, Real Conversations with Jacob Young, he welcomed his good friend and former Pine Valley cast mate, Eva LaRue (Ex-Maria, AMC, and Celeste, Y&R).

At the very top of the episode, LaRue revealed she and her daughter Kaya tested positive for Covid-19.  She shared, “We thought we had dodged a bullet, but sure enough, on New Year’s Eve, we both tested positive.”

“Oddly enough,” she goes on to say, “I really feel like we’ve been so sick of being scared to death of the invisible monster underneath the bed all last year, always looking over our shoulders.”  Eva added, “Nobody knows which one they are. Are they someone who’s going to survive it or succumb to it? Or have residual effects? All we can do is pray for the best.”

However, LaRue has been trying alternative methods of helping her with Covid-19 via IV treatments.  “I’ve got this amazing integrative doctor who I’ve been working with for a long time, and I know a lot of people are like, ‘No, we only do Western medicine,’ and that’s fine, I love Western medicine… but integrated medicine and Western medicine have to go hand in hand, in my opinion. Because, I just feel like, we need to open our minds to what is new and what is out there.”   So because of that, Eva has chosen to receive these treatments to hopefully starve off any long term effects of Covid.

In addition, Eva told Young she has hopes for the new primetime All My Children reboot that is in the works:  “I have my fingers crossed that they’ll be doing something with this new Pine Valley show.”   Remember, the Santos family and the Kanes are said to be the epicenter of the revival, so perhaps LaRue will be a guest-star on it, since she is also close friends with two of the EP’s, Kelly Ripa (Ex-Hayley, AMC) and Mark Consuelos (Ex-Mateo, AMC)!

Send your well-wishes to Eva and her daughter, Kaya and let us know would you love to see LaRue on the ‘Pine Valley’ primetime reboot?  Comment below.

All My Children Primetime Reboot “Pine Valley” in the Works at ABC from Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos and Andrew Stearn

Huge news that could bring back a new updated version of daytime’s All My Children to primetime!

ABC is eyeing a revival of Agnes Nixon’s long-running beloved series that ran for 41 years on the network and then saw an online reboot from Prospect Park that lasted only one season.

According to Deadline, former AMC stars Kelly Ripa (Ex-Hayley) and Mark Consuelos (Ex-Mateo) will executive produce along with Andrew Stearn and Agnes Nixon’s son, Robert Nixon.

The series is currently in the early stages of development, but what has been revealed is: the reboot will be written/executive produced by Leo Richardson (Katy Keene, Star), and it will center on a young journalist with a secret agenda who comes to expose the dark and murderous history of a town named Pine Valley only to become entangled in a feud between the Kane and Santos families. The series explores all the secrets that come with the Kane and Santos family names.

In the new incarnation, Pine Valley, will feature a new generation of characters and some old favorites.  As of this moment, no original cast members have deals, but the plan would be to have them make appearances, plus Ripa and Consuelos could also make a cameo.  Of course, many are already pondering if Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) might actually be a mainstay on the new primetime series; since the Kanes are one of the core families in the reboot.

Pine Valley plans to continue the original series’ tradition of tackling difficult social issues of our time and being inclusive, which the show was known for under the iconic Agnes Nixon’s storytelling.

Of note is that Stearn is also a lifelong fan of AMC and has been the driving force behind the reboot.  In fact when he was deciding between ABC Signature and one other studio for an overall deal, he chose ABC Signature because it was going to allow him to pursue his dream of rebooting All My Children.  It was then he started tracking down the rights to the soap.  As soap fans know, the rights to AMC reverted back to ABC after Prospect Park’s online version fell apart.

Later, after meeting with a number of writers to helm Pine Valley, Stearn went with Richardson, who had worked on the British soap EastEnders in his native Britain. Stearn also got on board the estate of Agnes Nixon, with son Robert Nixon joining the project as an executive producer.

So what do you think of “Pine Valley”, the All My Children primetime reboot being in development?  Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
