More news out of camp Twin Peaks!  After learning Amanda Seyfried has signed on to the reboot of the series to air on Showtime, comes word that actor Robert Knepper has also joined the cast.

Knepper’s TV credits include: TNT’s Public Morals, A+E’s Texas Rising, NBC’s Heroes, CW’s iZombie and he will be seen in the motion picture: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

Twin Peaks has been in production for about two weeks, with David Lynch directing.  From what Deadline is reporting, Lynch is expected to shoot the series continuously as a movie, and later cut it into episodes.”  That apparently is how the original series that aired in 1990 and 1991 on ABC was shot.

As to what role Knepper will play, mum’s the word.  Everything has been very tight-lipped.  The series is reeling this week from the news of the death of the Log Lady, actress Catherine Coulson.

So, are you excited to see the Twin Peaks revival?  Excited by the latest casting additions?  Actor Kyle MacLachlan has signed on to reprise his leading role as Agent Dale Cooper, with more familiar faces promised from the original version.

Robert Knepper is a more than capable actor—whatever he is given at TP is something he will pull off without any problem.

Robert was fantastic on “Prison Break”–should have won an Emmy. Don’t watch the show, but I know he’ll be great.
