The finalists are One Life to Live who knocked out All My Children in the semi-final round last night and Days of our Lives which knocked out Guiding Light!  The question is, which fan bases will be the most aggressive and get their show to the finish line?

This next round of voting—which will determine the winner—is now open and will run until 11:59 p.m. ET Wednesday night. The champion will be revealed Thursday morning.

So which is the all-time best soap, One Life or DAYS?   Let us know who you hope is victorious!

None of them… GH is my favorite

I agree Janet! Can’t believe All My Children beat GH! I voted, but didnt know you could vote more than once!

I agree with you Janet, general hospital is the best soap out there.

Sorry to disagree, always OLTL

GH has been laughable for the last year or so.

While Days is doing a great job this past year, it would never be able to claim “all time favorite”. And while OLTL was also a good soap in the late 70’s, not a lot people watched it at the end, and it was cancelled. Ironic that people are giving it attention now.

OLTL is by far the best soap out there. It had the greatest villains (Mitch Lawrence, Alison Perkins), greatest love stories (Rex & Gigi, Megan & Jake, Cord & Tina), and some great story lines, Eterna (old story), Matthew & Destiny and the baby, Gabrielle and Bo, the musicals. This show had it all!

It has had some good moments sure, but that reboot! And this is “all time”…Not Days, not OLTL. And I hate that Days is winning with no current competition. ( Non cancelled shows)

Are you kidding? OLTL Was on fire in the 80s with the Rauch spectacles, the 90s with Malone’s character stories and the last few years with the Carlivati/Valentini renaisance. OLTL is clearly the winner of those two choices.

Of the two…ehh. Sure.

At the time it was canceed OLTL had higher ratings than GH.
Gigi and Rex=yuck.

Oh, and YR is my all time favorite with ATWT a close second. Both classic, traditional soap opera at its best.

The fans voted for ATWT. Y&R was and still is lucky to have the better time slot. Julie Chen may have her eye on that spot. Her husband just might listen to her!!!

OLTL, still missing my show, wish ABC/Disney would get smart and BRING IT BACK!!!!!!

OLTL ALWAYS

OLTL FOREVER

OLTL!!

Michael you know enough about me to know no other soap is as special to me as OLTL. Erika Slezak IS & ALWAYS be #1 queen bee of soaps.

No way erika is not the queen bee, of soaps anymore. Its deidre hall , days of our lives. Sorry to say this. erika was yesterday’s news. nobody wants erika slezak no more.

Days!

ONE LIFE TO LIVE – THE BEST!!

One Life to Live has always been the best soap. ABC goofed, that is clear.

Go OLTL!!

Days of our Lives

Gh is my favorite but i would choose oltl in this situation.

Let’s go One Life to Live!! Still miss it ………….had a chance to watch some old ones on you tube yesterday.

All soaps deserve the title: Dark Shadows, Another World, Edge Of Night, Days, OLTL, Santa Barbara, Passions, The Doctors, GH, AMC, Ryans Hope, Return To Peyton Place, GL, ATWTs, Search For Tomorrow, Texas, Mary Hartman, Strange Paradise, Y&R, Love Of Life, Secret Storm, Love IS A Many Splendor Thing,…and so many more!!! At one time or another all of these soaps i have liked better than the other…and that constantly change…they were at their best at different times…NO CONTEST HERE!!!

Aaaaah, Texas!

I’m going to vote for OLTL, but if DOOL wins that will be good, too.
AMC was my alltime favorite, with OLTL a close second. But DOOL is the best these days.
Poor GH. Just when things start to look good, the writing goes to the dogs.

Ron has been Tweeting that this contest is rigged. Of course if GH was winning he’d be screaming victory from the roof tops Howard Dean style.

Days Of Our Lives better stay on the air. I have been watching it since I was a little girl….. The oter soaps ae ok,but they don’t beat DOOL!!!! Save DOOL!!!

Days of our lives, got renewed until september 2016. That was announced, last week. I am so happy, that days of our lives got renewed.

Agreed on GH. This was some weird bracket poll. They should have all been voted on together.

The brackets made zero sense! It should have been a straight vote for your favorite. And I read it didn’t even include ALL the soaps that have been on the air, so how is that fair?

One Life To Live

DAYS since Y&R has been eliminated!

It’s idiotic – my all time fave soap is ALL MY CHILDREN – second in line is One Life –
I currently watch Days, there’s hardly anything left to watch – I’m not really interested in what some absurd competition states –

All My Children is the best! I am still missing it!

Who cares, LOL..I think this whole poll is rigged or faulty at best..The soap you love is the soap that is the best..I am hoping all the remaining 4 network shows increase in ratings and the shelved online ones return at some point and time..I do not think the serial drama daytime genre is over and we need to get the next generation on board.

That said, if you love this poll, then congrats to DOOL being choose best soap of all time according to PARADE.COM

you can vote as many times as you like if you do not click out..
I voted for OLTL about 30 times LOL ..

I thought you had better taste than that. Maybe Eileen Davidson’s return to DAYS in the roles of Kristen, Susan, Sister Mary and Tommy will change your mind. Join in the fun!

You sound obsessed. Lol. Oltl will never come back again. Lets enjoy, the rest of the soaps.

I’ll give you tomorrow, let me be the one you share it with. And each day that follows, cuz we only have ONE LIFE TO LIVE!

Oltl any day.
..tina cord viki Natalie asa et al

how do i vote??

I think it is quite obvious which one is really the BEST by looking at the photo they chose to put with the article.

They chose pictures representing AMC, Y&R and GH along with a story about OLTL, but DOOL still was he victor!!! Days of our Lives is on NBC, the Hourglass Network!

DAYS welcomes Kassie DePavia in the role of Eve!!!

DAYS is once again bringing us Eileen Davidson!!!

GH is my all time fave, but DOOL should win this final showdown.

OLTL IS ALWAYS #1

OLTL YEAH ERIKA SLEZAK

OLTL IS STILL #1

OLTL BEATS ALL ELSE

OLTL! OLTL! OLTL! OLTL! OOOOLLLLLTTTTTTLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great showing OLTL!!! Everyone should take notice and get this show back on the air ASAP!

It ‘s always One Life To Live from now until the end of time. Please bring back the soaps on daytime and put ( GH) back at 3:00 Clock eastern time and put ( One Life To Live ) Back at 2:00 Clock eastern time . One LifeTo Life is the 1th number in book right along with General Hospital thery are the best two show ever . Make your soap fan happy and bring it back ( OLOL)………PS always ONE LIFE TO LIVE FOREVER

It’s hard for me to choose I was born watching days of our lives and started watching one life to live when I was in sixth grade after passions the show I watched from the beginning when I had just turned 4 in 1999 and got cancelled in 2007 I started watching GH in September 2011 right before oltl went of the air to me these four will always be tied for first place I love different things about different shows I loved Star and Cole’s forbidden love because of their parents hatred for each other also I loved the best frienemy’s Vicky/Dorian and Blair/Tea so glad Blair’s actress is coming to days also Tess/Jess Bess and their different reactions to people mainly Vicky and Natalie on Days I have loved Lucas and Sami love story and Shawn and Belle’s along with the serial killer storyline fallowed by the island that looks identical to Salem where they are still alive and Mimi I miss her and want her back I am excited to see Molly Burnett come back as Melanie Jonas and last but not least the guy we love to hate Stefano with passions I loved the Theresa/Eathan/Gwen love triangle team Theresa all the way he may have wanted Gwen at times but he always need Theresa with Kay/Miguel/Charity triangle I was conflicted because I love both girls and their relationship and love they have for him and lastly who could for get Tabitha taunting the town with her magic trying to kill Charity with her help from in other then her sweat sidekick Timy making his Martimy’s lol so sad that the actor died in 2002 I loved him and GH I love Maxi trying to get her baby robin trying to save Jason and Sabrina and Patrick helping each other through the tragic loss of their baby boy who came and left to soon they are all awesome in their respected unique ways

ET followed suit after Extra announced the nominees, as previously reported, in the Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series – Actor and Outstanding Daytime Talk Host.

Now, five leading ladies of the soaps are vying for the gold for Lead Actress and the category marked the first-ever nominations for CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates when two actresses made the final cut. Only General Hospital is not represented among the actresses this year after Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) took home the trophy last year.
