THE BACHELORETTE: Becca Receives Bombshell From Tia; At ‘Hometowns’ Parents Warn Her Not To Break Hearts … But She Does!

Courtesy/ABC

Week 8 of The Bachelorette featuring Becca Kufrin, included the all important ‘hometowns” where she “meets the parents” of the four men she has chosen to be in the running for the final rose.  They are Garrett, Blake, Colton, and Jason.

The set-up has: Garrett bringing home a woman to meet his family for the first time since his divorce, Blake revealing a haunting secret from his high school days, Jason trying to open himself up and catch up to the other guys with their professions of love, and Colton bringing home a woman for the first time to meet his family.

And on that .. here we go:  In Central California, we learn Garrett grew up in an agricultural family-owned business, as he drives Becca around in his lap on a tractor, which she likes! Next, Garrett and Becca meet up with his parents and siblings.  His older sister is frantically worried and in tears that he could get hurt again and she doesn’t want to see that happen.  Garrett’s dad and mom separately plead with Becca to not hurt Garrett as he was torn apart by his divorce.  The odd thing:  while everyone is concerned around him, Garrett just keeps smiling. Guess that his constant positive nature illustrates nothing much affects him? Who would love to see the guy have one meltdown to show he is human? Raise your hands!

Next, Becca journeys to Buffalo to enter a chicken wing eating contest with Jason.  Her favorite kisser (as she constantly reminds us how much she loves his kisses), also shows off his hockey prowess at the hockey rink, which kind of turns on Becca, we think?   When the duo next head to meet the family, Jason lets us know that he admires his brother’s relationship to his partner, and his parents long-lasting marriage.  When he sat down with his brother, Jason got a warning that you better move fast now and tell her how you feel, because time is fleeting.  With that, after they left the parent’s house, Jason admitted he is in love with Becca.  She smiles.  What can she do?  She can’t admit she does, or doesn’t at this point.  Awkward!

On to Blake and his family in Colorado.  Blake, who was a high school football star, takes Becca back to his old stomping grounds, where if you recall his mother also works and where she met his former teacher and coach.  But the main reason we are at his high school is that he reveals that a school shooting took place there, and it had impacted the person he has become. Becca takes that intel in, but not sure how much that changes anything in his favor, or not.  Next, Blake walks her to the school auditorium where a ton of people are watching and listening to a performance by Betty Who! So, who Betty, you ask? Becca’s favorite singer! Now, just how did Blake know that?

Last up is Colton, who also is from Colorado.  This was not easy for Becca.  Colton’s father came at her with if: she has discussed her previous relationship with Arie enough with his son.  He also questioned her about how she felt about Colton’s past with Tia, and the reveal that his son was virgin.  Guess all that could cause a girl to run the other way!  After the family get-together, Colton tells Becca he loves her.  So now, all four men have virtually said they “love” Becca.  What more could a girl ask for?!

Knowing she has to send one guy packing, she enlists her “Bachelor” gal pals:  Tia, Bekah, Sienne, Kendall and Caroline to consult on her decision.  But things take a turn when Tia asks to speak to Becca privately.  Alone, she tells Becca she still has feelings for Colton, and it makes her “sick” thinking of Becca with him/cut to the gals who share the gossip of Tia’s text messages that she has sent them saying she is “sick” over Colton and Becca.

At the rose ceremony, no surprise.  Colton is the odd man out.  He is devastated, but Becca feels she made the right choice.

So, would you have given Colton the boot at this juncture? Of the men remaining ,who do you think will be the final two vying for Becca’s heart? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

Why are you reporting on this, the worst possible example of “soap” on television?!?!? I tried watching one season, and I didn’t make it through one episode! It was the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen!

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Chrishell Stause Continues On After Halloween Week, Kaitlyn Bristowe Reacts To Carrie Ann’s Comment That She ‘Gave Up’

It was a fright night full of competition on the ballroom floor, as the celebrity contestants and their partners performed for the judges as notable villains.

Selling Sunset’s and former soap star, Chrishell Stause remained in the competition with pro partner, Gleb Savchenko after dancing the Paso Doble to VonLichten’s version of the Genesis classic “In The Air Tonight”.  Inspired by Maleficent, the duo received solid marks with judge Carrie Ann Inaba calling it, “storytelling at its finest.” Judge Bruno added,” Your focus, your intention, your purpose were absolutely spot-on,”  The pair scored 26 out of 30 and was revealed to be “safe” at the end of the night’s voting and scores.

Meanwhile, one of the frontrunners, ‘The Bachelorette’s” Kaitlyn Bristowe received some heavy criticism from the judges after dancing with her pro partner, Artem Chigvintsev to Rihanna’s “Disturbia”.  In her Cruella de Vil outfit and dancing the Paso Doble, the duo received their lowest score since earlier in the competition which totaled a 24 out of 30.

Carrie Ann Inaba told Kaitlyn that she felt like she “gave up” during the performance and that she “felt her spirit drop”.  Following the night of competition, Bristowe who was saved for another week, talked with ET were she disagreed with Inaba stating, “It’s not in my character to give up. If anything, I might get tired at one point, but I’m pushing through as hard as I possibly can. I would never give up.”

The first perfect score of the season (3o out of 30)went to Nev Shulman and pro partner Jenna Johnson’s rendition of the Paso Doble dancing to the Swan Lake Remix by District 78 with costumes inspired by the movie Black Swan.

During the results portion of the show, Monica Aldana and Val Chmerkovskiy were sent home by a 2 to 1 vote from the judges over Jeannie Mai and Brandon Armstrong.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Thomas Gets Creepy As The Hope Mannequin Talks To Him

Leave it to the good folks over at The Bold and the Beautiful to incorporate a play on their headline-grabbing mannequin use during Covid-19.  B&B was the first American television show back in production during the pandemic, and its executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell, told the media how they were using mannequins in several scenes in place of real actors when it comes to some intimate moments between characters.  Since the time, the show has also brought in real-life partners of their cast members when needed for a make-out scene, etc.

And that brings us to Thursday’s shocking reveal on the CBS daytime drama series, when Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), who seemed to be a more centered-version of himself of late, takes home with him the Hope for the Future shipment and opens the box.  He is for a surprise when inside the box is a lifelike mannequin of Hope  (Annika Noelle).  And from there, things spiral out of control, as viewers learned Thomas’ obsession with Hope is alive and well.

Thomas just can’t believe how life-like the mannequin of Hope is – saying to himself, “No wonder they use it for the Hope for the Future line.”  But then  after he takes the mannequin out of the box, it starts talking to him … in Hope’s voice, begging him to allow her to stay there with him and not put her back in the boX saying, .Please don’t lock me up in that box again.   I’ve been away from you too long… I know you want to be with me too.”  Then, Thomas who is having a very hard time between reality and this apparent hallucination shouts: “You’re not real!” What’s wrong with me?”

Perhaps Liam said it best earlier in the episode when Hope was speaking about Thomas to him, when he uttered.“I get creeped out just thinking about Thomas.”

Watch some of the Hope-mannequin action with Thomas below. Then weigh-in, what do you think of this plot twist? Share your thoughts in the comment section,

DANCING WITH THE STARS: Chrishell Stause Shares & Performs Emotional Tribute To Her Late Parents

It has been a challenging few years for former soap and current Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, who is currently still in the running for the Mirror Ball Trophy following Monday night’s competition on Dancing with the Stars.

Last night, Chrishell shared in the pre-dance package that she was performing a contemporary routine with her pro partner, Gleb Savchenko, in honor of both of her parents who died from lung cancer in July of 2020 and April 2019.

Photo: ABC

Stause expressed: “They were really loving people. Some of my best memories are with my mom, dancing with her in the living room.  No one would be more excited about me being here and doing the show than her.” (referring to her mom who passed away this summer).  She continued on to say: “Right before I dance, I really feel her calm me, encourage me. That has been the most special thing I will take away from this show.  I know that my parents are with me. My mom’s name was Renee Stause, and my dad’s name was Jeff Stause. And this dance is for them.”

Dancing to “Stars” by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Chrishell and Gleb delivered the most emotional performance of the night.  And the judges took notice, as Carrie Ann Inaba said to Stause: “You poured your heart and soul into that dance.   Bruno added: “That was so emotionally engaging, so raw, so truthful, irresistible because you gave everything you have.”  While the three judges including Derek Hough also gave a rougher technical critique of her to improve upon next week, Chrishell and Gleb still scored all eights and 24 out of 30 overall.

At the end of the night, during the reveal of who was safe and who was in the bottom two, host Tyra Banks revealed that Chrishell and Gleb were safe.

Then, after combining the scores and fans’ votes, in the bottom two were Johnny Weir and Vernon Davis.  In a close decision, Derek chose to save Johnny, and Carrie Ann chose Vernon. So, it was up to Bruno to cast the deciding vote and he saved Johnny, sending Davis, the former NFL Pro football star, home.

Watch Chrishell’s emotional dance below.   Then let us know if you are rooting for Chrishell and what you thought of the very personal story she shared last night via the comment section below.
