THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Nick Has Been Masquerading As J.T. And Blindsides Victor

Courtesy/CBS

On Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, as Victor (Eric Braeden) comes face to face with J.T. he tells him that he’s a coward hiding in the shadows, who goes after the defenseless, but now the tables are turned.  Oh, have they Victor?  Might want to think again!

Victor reaches into his pocket making it look like he might pull out a gun, and all of a sudden the voice emanating out of J.T. is a very familiar one!  It’s Nick’s voice who says, “What? You’re going to shoot your own son now?”  And with that, Nick (Joshua Morrow) pulls off his prosthetic mask of J.T. revealing himself with a typical ‘Nick-ism’, “Sup Dad?”

Nick then lets loose and tells Victor that he has been behind everything that has happened surrounding “J.T’s re-emergence” including the leaked documents.  Standing his ground, Nick tells his father how he has been watching how Victor operates his whole life, and how he has always been perceived Nick as weak.  Then, Nick launches into how Victor was proud of Adam who was more in his image, by the despicable things he would do in business, and in his life.  Nick says he could deal with Victor making a mockery out of Nick’s business career, but not taking his son, Christian.

Victor is not impressed, and somewhat amused by his son standing up to him.  However, Nick has warning for him, stating: “Things are in motion that can’t be stopped!” Nick doubts that Victor will mention any of this publicly, because that would mean he was taken down by his “underachieving son.”

Later, Nick returns home to Sharon with flowers in tow  Then, Victor shows up.  Sharon asks Victor the latest in finding J.T.  Victor guesses Nick hasn’t filled her in on the latest developments and exits.  Sharon asks Nick, “What have you done?” Nick reveals he has been masquerading as J.T.  You can see just how Sharon is somewhat freaked out, because she is covering up J.T.’s “murder!”  Nick goes on to admit he leaked the documents, too.  Sharon is shocked, and said she saw J.T, out the window.  He apologizes for scaring her, but he needed to carry out his plan.  Nick says once Victor got custody of Christian by attacking Sharon’s mental state in the arbitration, he was going to make him pay.  Sharon asks if Nick even thought what pretending to be J.T has done to his sister, Victoria (Amelia Heinle).  Nick will not apologize for what he has done intimating there is more ahead,  and leaving Sharon to question his behavior stating, she doesn’t know who he is anymore!

What did you think about Nick wearing a J.T. mask and shocking Victor?  What did you think of the performance of Joshua Morrow in the scene where he lays the smackdown on Victor? What do you think will happen next?  Has Nick turned heel?  Comment below.

I was very disappointed in the whole so called reveal/showdown between Nick and Victor. I knew this was going to happen and couldn’t wait for the fireworks. There was hardly any emotions, and they acted like they were just reading their scripts to each other. Also the women ganging up on Nick, after all the crap Victor pulled, was very unrealistic to me.No use saying any more. Everyone will have their own opinions about this, but Nick being a favorite of mine, has my suppirt, and wish he’d done more to the old S.O.B.

I agree favorite actor off screen nice guy but man he has for years played the mad frat boy or the horney frat boy! The best storyline he has ever done was Cassie’s death. I do find it silly that everything Victor has done to Sharon she has any concern for Victor just tell Nick the truth and bury this storyline along with JT

Victor hardly shows emotion anytime. He acts as deceitful and crooked as always except when he was acting sick then he showed emotion but it was for himself.

You’ve never heard of the saying “Negative Nancy?” It’s just like “Debbie Downer,” but instead of a downer, they’re negative. It’s just a saying, Nance!

Gotta keep you guys in line, T.
Seriously, I was pretty young, but, I do remember another time….another place …..another Cricket…almost a lifetime ago…loved her. Christine is too much of a hard-arse. I liked the softer side of her, which translates into Cricket.
I wouldn’t call her dealings with Michael Baldwin as a relationship, exactly!!!! My memory is a bit foggy….He was a perv, wasn’t he? Now he’s one of the good guys? Ha!!
I am soooooo feeling nostalgic for those days….. weepy!!

Right, My T?…does a fiend really change so drastically?
However, it is a soap….and, yeah; where are Michael and Lauren?….it’s like “Phake”-Phyllis is acting as Lauren’s ambassador these days. She is one of the dominatrices on the show and beyond…..FakeBilly is not even close to Billy Miller’s gambling persona; no matter how much he tries….
I’m awaiting for him and Summer to tumble onto the proverbial ‘sex in the hay’, except that the hay will also be fake….incendiary, soooo, all smoke!!
Me no like!! Everything about this gambling thing is flat, been there, done that. Not interested or interesting.

I know Scott, right? Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer all into one. LOL…..I need uplifting here…. Did you see today’s episode? I had touched upon the fact that I had heard Hilary was going ‘out’ with a melodramatic bang…..but, I was hoping it would not be true… ….awful finish…..more and more I am being sunk within the Y&R doldrums…oh, shucks!! By the by, is the network allowed to use the words “Summer in the City”? If you noticed, the phrase appeared on GC Buzz. Isn’t that a song by The Lovin’ Spoonful? Isn’t that plagiarizing? Does it apply? I always… Read more »

The whole Mission Impossible mask bit is soooooooo not Y&R’s style and Nick doing this is completely out of character as he would never do anything to cause beloved big sis Victoria anxiety over the possible return of her abusive ex.

Tell me about it, Alan…..as I said on the other thread, I expected Faison to turn the corner. Also, I don’ t know how much more of Nikki’s living-on-another-planet-behavior I can take. Here is a mother who is so incensed over what her son did ( Gee, like father like son much?), yet is deaf and dumb when it comes to Victor. I don’t know….perhaps, it is just I? I doubt it…..to a mother, her kids come first….before all others, includingn her spouse…..except for Nikki. Ha! Pathetic mothering….always was, always will be. I was never a fan when General Hospital concocted these stupid masquerading storylines with masks, and I am still not a fan. SO. STUPID. NO. THANKS. Also, the “love” scene between Ashley and Neil was so awkward and forced-embarrassing to watch.

ANYTHING EXCITING OR WORTH WATCHING ON THIS SHOW ANYMORE? this show revolves around 4 boring dragged on storys with the same 8 characters like c’mon!.. we need Jill back, Lauren, Michael, Paul,Christine more Kyle, Mariah, nuNate and younger characters for the summer. You are SO right, Damien! I think I fast-forwarded thru most of yesterday’s show. Billy’s storyline is atrocious. Kyle setting-up Mariah and Tessa is not a storyline that I am interested in seeing (and watching Devon pretending to act and set them up was cringe-worthy. He can’t act period). Lily acting as though her children have a bigger stake in Devon’s company, than his own offspring, is so funny. I think she is one of the dumbest characters EVER to appear on daytime television.

Yeah, damien. …said the same thing. The repetition turns the viscera. But, I was surprised!! I actually thought it was really JT….I wished it, so that I didn’t have to deal or listen to those four hens clucking and squawking every single day!!!! Wide-eyed with oh-my-we-are-doomed…

Apologize to everybody who guessed this I thought Y& R would never stoop to such nonsense. A friend told me that got a Sony question in the mail about food or talk shows ! I have no idea but I think they might be on thin ice. They have froze salaries that’s why they lost Ed& Mm. Crazy

It’s disappointing. I really hate that Nikki accidentally killed JT and then those four idiots decided to cover it up and bury his body rather than do the right and rational thing–call the damn police. I hate that JT is dead and died as a one dimensional villain. JT was a complex guy and I would have liked him to undergo therapy to figure out why a once heroic man, turned into an abuser of women. And no, not to EXCUSE his behavior, but to EXPLAIN it. I still hold out hope that JT is alive. He had a heart… Read more »

This would have been more compelling if Victor had shown any reaction at all. I didn’t see a “shocked” Victor. Maybe Eric Braeden thought it was a travesty and threw away his performance in protest? Not even so much as a “well I’ll be damned”. I hoped that he would end the scene by shouting. “Now get out of my alley! You got that?”

My comment was deleted after the website had issues today, so I am resubmitting it In another writer’s hands this might have worked– the “good” son pushed beyond his limits to seek revenge on his father then slowly descends down the same path that will eventually turn him into the very thing he hated — his father– very Shakespearean— but with Mal’s style of writing, it will be a tragedy but not in the good sense of the word. I wish it was Adam under that JT mask- because frankly the show has never been same without him. JH was… Read more »

It’s time the Nick character to fight back to victor as he has gotten away with too much. In real life one would never get away with all the dirt and mean things this Victor character had gotten away with. Want to see Nick and Sharon stay together and not let the over dramatizing Phyllis get her claws on him. Some of it these days are so boring wish things could happen to make it exciting Sooner. Let’s see what happens in the near future

I am sorry, but it was sooooo ridiculous. C’mon Mal Young, Y&R fans deserve better than this. Y&R is not GH or DOOL the Jim Reilly years. It just didn’t work. On another note, when will Billy stop being the town screw up? You know he will put Jabot in jeopardy and Jack will swoop in and save the company, which will bring about the departure of Eileen Davidson/Ashley in September. This was once my must watch show, but I can”t say that anymore.

My man Victor will Destroy Nick..
Victor now can have Christen taken from Nick if he wants to.
And, when Sharon is known to have taken part of covering up a murder, well Christian is sure to have another home.

Nick is no Adam.
Nick did a cyber crime, it was nothing much to get files and release them and there is not much game to that.
Adam was a challenge for Victor but not Nick, Victor will destroy him, wait for it.

But why, SuzieQ? Victor is propelled in doing what he does by selfish ego. Not love. Does he not realize it’s wrong??…Nick loves Christian as a parent should, regardless of his DNA. Victor is obsessed and possessed. He treats his family members as puppets and possessions. There comes a time when children do rebel….. Look at Victoria and Nick. Victoria is all in for the money…..that was the first thing she asked her father—-commanded, rather….very disappointed in her. Always liked her….hmmmm…. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS: Michael at a Crossroads; What Did You Think of Christian LeBlanc’s 30th Anniversary Episode?

Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless brought with it three-time Daytime Emmy winner Christian LeBlanc’s (Michael Baldwin) 30th anniversary show.

In the story, after winning a high-profile case, Michael meets up with his wife, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) at Society to celebrate the court victory, only he ponders if he should quit while he is ahead and go out on top with a great winning-streak or change course in his life and do something else. Michael is at crossroads which sets the tone for characters and loved ones to weigh-in on what they think he should do, give him some advice, and he even gets a job offer within the hour.

Courtesy/CBS

The episode was at its absolute best when it went to flashbacks of Michael’s story through the years as it touched upon his dynamic with other key members of his family and Genoa City.  It was there we were reminded, and at times, grabbed for the hankies, of some of the emotional moments of Michael’s past all played brilliantly by LeBlanc.

Photo: JPI

Y&R did dance around the controversial relationship between Michael and Christine (Lauralee Bell), but did touch upon it via a clip of Michael’s heinous vendetta against a younger Christine with him determined to break down a wall, literally, and attack her, and, as longtime viewers know, Michael wound up shot by Paul who saved Christine  The dialog brought up: how Michael was consumed with revenge, how he hit rock bottom, and that his prison time ended up being life-saving and life-changing, and how, in the end, Christine did help him reclaim his legal career, and that they were able to put the past behind them.

Next, Victor (Eric Braeden) shows up at the bar and winds up sitting with Lauren and Michael, and while Victor and Michael recall their often- contentious professional relationship in flashbacks, Victor offers Michael a job to work at Newman Media; leaving Michael to ponder the offer.

Courtesy/CBS

Then, Lauren called the Baldwin/Fisher clan to show up. So together, Gloria (Judith Chapman), Kevin (Greg Rikaart), and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) lend moral support to Michael during his decision process. It is there that some of the best flashbacks in the episode occur:  One, where Gloria wants the chance to be a mother to her boys, another, where Michael sits by Kevin’s hospital bedside lamenting on how he could have been a better brother and that he left him behind, and then another where Kevin tells Michael how important he is to him and that they repaired their relationship.

Photo: JPI

After the trio leave, it’s just Lauren and Michael, where the two recall moments in their relationship and in the end, Michael knows what he wants to do – spend more time with Lauren.

Watch the final moments of Christian’s anniversary episode below, followed by our most recent interview with LeBlanc and his dear friend and Y&R co-star Michelle Stafford (Phyllis).

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: A Shocked Brooke Exclaims: “Oh, My God! I Was Drinking Last Night!”

Score one for Sheila (Kimberlin Brown)! On Monday’s continuance of the New Year’s episode of CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, a hungover Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) wakes up next to Deacon (Sean Kanan) in her bed, just as Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is finally able to make it home to his wife.

Horrified that she is next to Deacon and with a pounding headache, Brooke jumps up and realizes she had been drinking… booze! The stunning realization makes her flash back to the night before where she now recalls doing vodka shots, horsing around with Deacon and kissing him.

Photo: JPI

Deacon assures her that he was gentleman and nothing happened between them. As she hears Ridge pull up to the house, and now downstairs with Deacon, she begs him to leave ASAP and to never come back.  He slips out the back.   Ridge comes in to the house thrilled to see Brooke who is literally coming apart at the seams.

Next, Deacon goes to the infamous bar where he met up with Sheila in the first place.  He tries some non-alcoholic champagne. Sheila is there, but lurks. She then goes to the bar to pry about what happened on New Year’s Eve with Brooke.  Deacon is not giving up any intel to her.  However, Sheila figures out Brooke’s life must have imploded, if Deacon was testing the champagne.  In addition, via a flashback, viewers saw just how Sheila switched the labels on the champagne bottles to set this whole plot against Brooke in motion. Very clever, Sheila!

Photo: JPI

Back at the house. Ridge knows something is off with Brooke.  While he holds her, she cries.  When Ridge goes upstairs, Brooke begins to sob as she heads back to where all the alcohol is while staring at the Vodka, wondering what triggered her to drink again.  It was a great performance by Katherine Kelly Lang.

Now the question is, will Brooke just keep drinking? Will she get into AA stat? Share your thoughts on the episode and what you think will happen next in the comment section below. But first, check out the final moments of Monday’s B&B.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Tracy Tells Laura that Luke is “Gone”. What Will Her Next Sentence Be?

Is Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) literally dead-dead? That’s the question on viewers minds after the shocking ending of Monday’s first episode of the new year of General Hospital.

In the key scene at the end of Monday’s show, Tracy, played by Jane Elliot, makes a surprise visit to Laura’s (Genie Francis) just as the clock is about to strike midnight on New Year’s Eve in Port Charles.

When Laura, who is with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), opens the front door, she sees Tracy standing there.  An emotional Tracy tells Laura,”It’s Luke. He’s gone.”  Laura is gut-punched.  We fade to black.  The audience is stunned that, first, GH kept under wraps the return of Elliot, but second, that they truly would kill off the iconic character of Luke Spencer.

Since the airing of the episode, fans and viewers of the ABC soap, have been trying to figure out if this is a fake out, and Tracy will continue her explanation on tomorrow’s episode and reveal that, perhaps, Luke has disappeared?

Geary had previously made it clear he would not return to the GH.  So, could this be a story-driven point and the show is really saying buh-bye to Luke? Is this tied to what Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) wants to get out of the mind of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), after Victor’s rather threatening and revealing conversation with Peter (Wes Ramsey), who has unfortunately awakened from his coma?  Stay tuned!

Now, weigh-in: what do you think Tracy’s next sentence will be to Laura? What do you think has happened to Luke? Share your theories via the comment section below.
