THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: Ridge Learns The Truth About The CPS Call During His Nuptials to Taylor

By Michael Fairman

Were you betting that Taylor (Krista Allen) would tell the truth to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) before she said her “I do’s”, or did you think she would keep her mouth shut and marry the man today? We got part of our answer on today’s highly-anticipated episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

At the altar, with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) giving her mother side eye that she needs to come clean to Ridge before she marries him, while Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) on the other side of his mom is trying to get her to go through with the nuptials, Taylor becomes overwhelmed,  She says to Ridge, “I have to tell you something.” However, that was a big fat red herring, because she immediately gushes that she’s ready to marry him.  Thomas smirks and Steffy’s is in shock.

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) continues officiating the ceremony and then when he asks if anyone present has an objection to the union, it is none other than Steffy who says “I do.”  Thomas is seething.  Steffy continues to say that she objects to the wedding.

Ridge is perplexed, and so Steffy goes on to say it’s complicated, but he needs to know the truth, and tells Thomas to do just that.  Thomas begs Steffy to stop, but she won’t.

Next, Steffy tells Ridge, “Dad, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) didn’t hide anything from you. You deserve to know the truth… the truth about the CPS call.”  Thomas wants Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) to leave the room, but he won’t.  Now, Thomas is squirming a bit.

Steffy says it’s about the call to Child Protective Services, adding,“You thought it was Brooke, but it wasn’t.” Steffy reveals Thomas made the recording but Ridge feels that doesn’t make any sense.  Next thing you know, our hero, Douglas plays the CPS call on his phone. He first plays the Brook-voiced version, and then the call in Thomas’ voice.

Ridge is still not getting it (sometimes you just have to hit the Forrester men over the head!) until Douglas explains it’s an app on his phone where you can record your voice and can make it sound like someone else!  Now Ridge turns to his son filled with betrayal.  Thomas reminds his father he said he wanted to marry Taylor and the CPS call had nothing to do with it and all he wanted to do was make him happy.

Ridge yells, “Do I look happy to you?” Next, he really lays into Thomas: “You destroyed my marriage! My son! YOU did this!”

Meanwhile, at her home, Brooke is being comforted by her visiting father, Stephen (Patrick Duffy), who already told Brooke that he feels she should be furious at Ridge for ending their marriage without giving her a reason.  Stephen feels leaving his daughter with no explanation is just plain cruel of Ridge.

So, did you think the truth of the CPS call would come out at the wedding on today’s episode? What do you think will happen next? Will Ridge marry Taylor anyway?  Will he high-tail it back to Brooke … and if he does, should she even take him back? Share your thoughts in the comment section.  But first, watch the bombshell ending of Monday’s B&B below.

If Brooke takes Ridge back, I’ll be so disappointed. What he did to her is cruel. Both women deserve better than this fickle jerk.

I was hoping it would be Douglas who finally gave up on the “adults”, and made sure the truth won out. But with Steffy’s help which seems totally out of character for her. Except her big mouth. As for Thomas I could never understand why he didn’t make Douglas’s phone disappear long ago. Taylor will turn out to be a huge disappointment in Ridge’s and everyone else’s eyes for finally ignoring the truth. He won’t marry her. Nor could she marry him at this point. And if he tries to go back to Brooke, she shouldn’t take him back. If she does she’s a fool. And personally I don’t care anymore. I have Brooke/Ridge fatigue. Douglas can go back to his home at Hope and Liam’s. It will be most interesting to see what happens with Thomas. And Hope’s reaction who was getting to close to the edge.

I don’t understand why Thomas used Douglas’ phone to begin with.

Why did they have him kissing a mannequin?? Rumor is MA is not happy with the storylines he has been getting since he came on the show. But hey remember when Ridge pretended to be Douglas’s dad. Not one decent moral character! Sigh!

K
He was obsessed with Hope, and still is but the Manequin was a replica of Hope and he was for all intense and purposes playing house with it, the sick bastard. They claime d he had a brain tumor, wonder what they will use for an excuse this time.
No wonder he’s unhappy with the scripts he’s been given. Ridge was not pretending to be Douglas’s dad. He and Thomas both slept with Douglas’s mother and they had to do a DNA. I’m pretty dure the tests got switched and Ridge is really the father.

Yep your right I worded it wrong Bell drives me nuts I need to stop complaining or quit watching it’s like a bad train wreck you can’t stop watching! Now what in the heck has KA done ? I’m going to be nice here but why women do we get in that plastic surgery mode ??

Ridge will now return to Brooke…again. It’s the only “destiny” for these two characters Brad Bell will allow. Unfortunately, this is a a tired, old, story of two people who have no chemistry together.
I have just had enough of poor, whiny, Brooke. I just keep wishing the writers would stop making her as the heroine of this show. She takes and takes from everyone and still manages to get everything come out her way no matter what she wants or who she hurts in the process. Enough Brooke already!

This family is so screwed!! Taylor is a psychiatrist and supposed to help people? Well, everything this woman has done has been questionable! She’s so blinded by her love fir Ridge, she was going to let the lie go on and make excuses for her demented son. Steffy should watch her back!

Lew S
Really! They also need to get that boy back to Hope ASAP

Well final word if we can all forgive Brooke for sleeping with her daughters husband and having Hope !!’ We can dam sure forgive Thomas for calling CPS pretending to be Brooke she opened the door by screaming about Thomas cutting a tomato!! Out of your minds just Brooke and Ridge please get back together and leave town

Another great storyline that has garnered 3.2M viewers! Congrats on using a phone app to stir it all up! And so glad to see Henry Joseph Samiri back as Douglas! His disappointment in his dad was well played and I am sure that no other young actor could have pulled that off! Next Sheila will prowl the canvas for more trouble. Nice seeing Patrick Duffy back. Miss Dallas so much. Get ready for more B&B!

clb…Yes, Henry has been terrific as Douglas. “From the mouths of babes” has made him more interesting than all of the adults. And I liked seeing Patrick and Linda. But in a crisis situation, with all of his girls there, wouldn’t Dad stick around for a few days instead of five minutes?

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

Published

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.

To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).

With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE

From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run. Paul thinks he is looking at 70s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall),. Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.

Belle has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.

Next, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)

Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing the baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.

JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL

Then in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!

The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunion of love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE

When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills him Paul in on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena overhears and says promise her if things get dangerous you will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.

As the episode comes to a conclusion its just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives and that is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.

End card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena and we fade to black.

So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

Published

By

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).

How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?

Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding.  Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.

Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN

Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.

So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?

Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last

Published

on

By

On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).

First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.

Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”

However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.

COP MADNESS

Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).

Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO

At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.

Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

CAUGHT BY CULLUM

At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along.  Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.

Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!

So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
