The Bold and the Beautiful is adding a new pilot to its cast of characters to fly the Forresters overseas this summer to Monte Carlo, and it’s none other than Tom Arnold.

According to US Weekly, Arnold will appear in two upcoming episodes of the CBS soap opera airing at the end of July.  In story, Arnold will play the Forrester’s new pilot named Captain Deuce Stevens.

Arnold said of working with the B&B actors and crew, “It was great fun. People love The Bold and the Beautiful. The loyalty, the fans, the opinions … I started going online and listening to fans argue about certain things. It’s like sports.”

In the scenes, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) head back overseas to relaunch the iconic, Brooke’s Bedroom fashion line for Forrester Creations.

One of the more hilarious behind the scenes moment Arnold shared, was with now two-time Daytime Emmy-winning actor, Thorsten Kaye: “I was in makeup and this guy comes in and goes, ‘Hey, can I get you anything?’ I go, ‘I don’t know, do you have Sugar Free Red Bull?’ This guy who I thought was the crew — he had a very hard handshake — was Thorsten. The rich, wealthy father.”

As a preview of one of his scenes, Steffy will be running late to the flight and cannot locate her passport. Tom shared, “One thing that is true is you have a window to land at the airport. And if you mess around and you’re late, you will miss that (window). I like when there’s some reality to this stuff. It heightened the scene because Steffy forgot her passport.” Look for MacInnes Wood to pull off some “I Love Lucy-esque” moments.

Arnold added, “You expect (the drama) for a character, but it opens the doors for some hilarious stuff. It’s very funny because things are so dramatic that it lends itself to comedy.”

B&B is not Tom’s first foray into soaps, having previously appeared on General Hospital in the 90’s. He spoke on how he and ex-wife Roseanne Barr (who also appeared on GH as Jennifer Smith), were into daytime dramas, “Roseanne and I loved soap operas. (After I was on General Hospital), we ended up having all these folks on (Roseanne]) from the show, because soap operas are very good actors. They don’t mess around.”

Look for Arnold’s episodes to air on B&B on Tuesday, July 30th and Wednesday, July 31st.

So, what are your thoughts on Tom Arnold coming to B&B? What do you think of his respect for soap opera actors? Comment below.

Doesn’t do a thing for me

Just yesterday I was thinking B&B should get Tom Arnold for the show. Not! Really, Brad?

And the question is Why ?

Nothing worse than when B and B writers decide they are being funny by using some “former” star in a scene or two. Wow Steffy can’t find her passport…that’s must see episode. Maybe they can have “Charlie” run in with it. He’s always good for a laugh or two… Not!.

You are so right and I’ve wondered over the years if there are people that really find this fool funny?

Nope. N-E-X-T…

Love Tom Arnold, especially in True Lies with Arnold Schwarzenegger, very funny guy. Sorry, the Steffy story would only be interesting if Arnold took off, with her hanging on to a wing!

Only on a soap opera could a senior citizen launch a bedroom clothing line.

Exactly. I hope they have the decency to use Brooke in name only, and have someone who is more age and body appropriate to do the modeling. I hope the powers at be on the show that Brooke is no longer a 25 year old. This will be interesting to see. And on a side note, why is Katie all of a sudden interested in Bill again. And when did she break up with Carter. 4 or 5 months ago, she was trying out how to get her hands on him and now they are suddenly finished? When did all this happen? As usual they keep focusing on who I call the usuals.

As per Katie, I think she looks at him as her property and only wants him when another woman is interested. Also, i’m sure they think that Brooke has a better body than some women half her age. To tell you the truth, I’d almost rather see her than the way Steffy comes prancing into the office, a business woman, clad in shorts and a a couple weeks ago she had this thing wrapped around her that looked like a giant diaper. I also don’t understand that thing with Katie and Carter.

So a really in-shape attractive woman in her 60s isn’t “age-appropriate” and “body appropriate?” Who decides what’s appropriate?

Katherine Kelly Lamg is 62 and that doesn’t make her a senior citizen. The line was launched when she was much younger and continues. At 62, she’s in damn good shape!

I agree with you Lew S. She looks fantastic!

I think they are reviving her old Bedroom line, feeling that people will be as drawn to her as they were years ago, maybe even more so, BECAUSE of her age

Senior citizen and Katherine Kelly Lang in the same sentence is like Tamara Braun and fat.

My only statement to this is why? Oh and one more. Absolutely ridiculous.

Can we get the Kardashians, on The Bold And The Beautiful. Make it happen Bradley Bell. Kim and Kris would be terrific.

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.

Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

FOR LESLIE CHARLESON

Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”

Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).

Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.

“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?

During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.

Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.

You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.

Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.
