Looky who is coming back to Genoa City?  In news today, Daytime Emmy winner and longtime fan favorite, Tricia Cast (Nina) will be returning to Y&R in November.

Tricia will appear during the week of November 30th just in time to help the top-rated soap opera celebrate their 12,000 episode milestone.

EW.com broke that Cast was making a return, and it’s the first time she will appear on the series since back in 2013 when Nina came back to town for the memorial service of Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper).

In story this time, look for Nina to reunite with her longtime pal, Christine (Lauralee Bell) and for Nina to see for herself what’s been happening with her son, Chance (Danny Boaz).

The character of Nina Webster first appeared on the soap scene back in 1986.

Will you be excited to see Tricia again on-screen? Comment below.

Wow ! this is going to set the message boards… ABLAZE !!!! FIRE UP
WOW , again; this is like a welcome home i needed this normal now

Tricia Cast

Give her a girlfriend… WHY NOT Lauren ?

happy for Tricia
happy for the FAN

may as well start: “Happy Holiday”

Hi Patrick !!!
Good to see you so happy and excited over her return.
Enjoy!
((I haven’t a clue about what or who she is lol))

She is about the only person right now that I’d tune in to see. She was always great on the show!

There is a God! Tricia Cast is so solid in her role of Nina, has been since her youth. There are some actors and characters in daytime drama who may not be front and center, but there presence and engagement in stories is so valuable and necessary. In this case, Nina’s return strengthens the Chancellor family’s presence in Genoa City in addition to Devon Winters.

This is a pretty major announcement that we can all get excited about:) And just in time to become a grandmother!!!
Can we bring Daniel back too? He could get connected with Sally Spectra???

Hey don’t start counting booties yet. Abby may not get pregnant right away and Iam old fashioned enough to want to see them get married first.

I hope it’s not just for a fleeting moment like they are doing with Gloria. I have loved Nina since day one it will be a welcome change from all of this Adam business. I have a feeling, maybe I am wrong, that Sharon is marrying Rey to mask her feelings for Adam, and poor Rey will get screwed at the last minute. I hope I am wrong because I like them together. And don’t even get me started on Elena. She just annoys me Nina is definitely the welcome change that is needed now. Now we just need grandma Jill for a couple of good old fashioned soap opera cat fights for old time sake. Happy viewing everyone.

You are entirely right about Sharon’s reason for wanting to marry Rey all of a sudden. Though I am not crazy about their relationship, no chemistry, they act like brother and sister. Her reason is obvious. She’s got the hots for Adam and I am sure he’ll crash the wedding, if it even gets that far.
I do not care for Elena either with her whiney, simpering stuff, it’s adding ten years to her life, OMG!

SO delighted to hear this. Tricia Cast was her first favourite actress/character since I first started watching Y&R. It was the storyline of the ending of David Kimball when I first started watching the show – and wasn’t even blown away by her performance.

She has always been a favorite of mine. She is so natural and plays perfectly with anyone she is up against on screen. So glad she is returning

I have absolutely no idea who that woman is.
But- it’s always good to have new stories
and characters returning creat new stories.

Nina is the mother of Chance and Christine’s BFF.

hi soapqueenforever..
thanks– 🙂

You are welcome. Happy viewing.

SuOOO
Maybe you should look up her history, than you’ll have an idea who she’s about when she gets there. I can take her or leave her, not her biggest fan.

Violent, I agree…I am in the minority but I have never been a Nina fan.

Now. If we could get rid of Cricket so she could be with Paul again, and would love to see her other son Ronan. He and Phyllis sure heated things up when he was there last time.

Yes, agree! Bring back Danny too and finally put her and Danny back together where they belong. Mab was setting up a great quad love story i think before she got fired , also with Chris trying to finally get Phyliss sent to jail for the hit and run years before. Would love to see those 5 in scenes together and toss Lauren and Michael in too! For old times sakes!

Yayyyy
Have her and Chance move into the Chancellor mansion and grace their presence in the home that once belonged to the legendary Kay!
..having those little criminals Kevin and Chloe feels disrespectful to her memory! At the least have them move into the smaller wing and get Chloe hot for Chance again. Her and Kevin are odd together. Throw Jill and Abby ( portrayed again by Emme Rylan) and we have the Chancellor clan 2.0

I’m glad to see her return.

Was Nina a good girl or a bad girl?

Both. She got herself into plenty of mischief but has a heart of gold.

If I remember correctly, she started off bad and changed into good.

Both.

Bringing back Judith Chapman (Gloria) and Tricia Cast are some of the few remaining options that actually could revive my interest in Y&R. I hope that the writers have the talent (and freedom) to write something decent for both of them and the producers have enough horse sense to keep both women around and not give them a drive by appearance.

I hope we don’t get two measly episodes where Nina pops into town, chats with Chance for 10 minutes, spends 5 minutes recalling old times with Cricket and then flies out. When written properly, Nina is a compelling character and Cast can knock it out of the park playing her.
