Devious Maids is set to begin airing all-new episodes when the premiere of its second season happens tomorrow night on Lifetime beginning at 10PMEST/9PMCST!

While the interwoven stories continues for the maids, soap opera enthusiasts are also dying to know just what is in store for former All My Children icon Susan Lucci in her role of wealthy divorcee and effervescent socialite, Genevieve Delatour!

According to a preview in TV Guide with Devious Maids executive producer Sabrina Wind, it looks to be an intriguing season for Ms. Delatour! To recap at the end of season one:  Hours before Genevieve was set to tie the knot for the fourth time, her son Remi ran off to Africa and her fiancé Philippe “committed suicide.”

Now EP Wind previews for Lucci’s Delatour in season two: “Zoila (Judy Reyes) may have been the one to encourage Genevieve’s son to run off to Africa, but the two actually come to a much happier, even closer, even more fun place than they were last year.”

As to if there will be a new man in Genevieve’s life? Wind stated: “We do not have an immediate romantic relationship for Genevieve.  She is instead getting herself in trouble in all sorts of other ways.”

So are you looking forward to seeing Susan on Devious Maids? Do you kick out of her performance as Genevieve Delatour? What would you like to see happen to Ms. Delatour in season two? Let us know … but first watch a very clever edited promo for the new season below titled “OMG”!

I’m excited this show is back. All the actors are so good and the stories are fun and have many twists and turns. And Susan is, as always, a delight to watch!

Genevieve is a delight but I wish they would have given her a bigger storyline or at least juicier! Susan Lucci shines here but I fear as this is a cable show she will be left out of a few episodes. You can tell an actor is good if they can stand out in a good way even if they they have a minor role or supporting role and they aren’t the bad person (Powell’s). Lucci somehow steals the show – so much fun. Okay, on the bad side, those who liked Erica Kane, a American icon, might be shocked… Read more »

So agree with you she is a lot of fun to watch on this show! Cute fun show ! This is why I was scratching my head when Globe put that story out of her being approached by JFP at Y&R they for one thing could not afford her. Still trying to figure out why MTS was making such a big deal out of the story??

How much do you think Susan Lucci makes on Devious Maids? I do think the ladies and Eric Braedon would feel threatened if Lucci went to Y and R. But if the ratings don’t pick up I wonder if Lucci will be looking for work?

All My Children and ‘The Bay’ Star Eric Nelsen in the Cast of ‘Yellowstone’ Prequel ‘1883’

On Thursday, the full cast was announced for the highly-anticipated Yellowstone prequel that will bow on Paramount+ beginning on December 19th.

The Taylor Sheridan drama tells the tale of the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land — Montana.

According to Deadline, in the cast is none other than The Bay’s Daytime Emmy-winner, Eric Nelsen (Daniel Garrett), who was also part of the cast of Prospect Park’s reboot of All My Children as AJ Chandler.

In 1883, look for Nelsen to take on the role of Ennis, a young, handsome cowboy who agrees to help escort a group of inexperienced men, women and children north to find a home.

The series also stars: Billy Bob Thornton, Faith Hill, Gratiela Brancusi, Sam Elliott, Stephanie Nur, and Tim McGraw to name but a few.

Mark Consuelos Exits ‘Riverdale’

Last night, All My Children alum, Mark Consuelos (Ex-Mateo Santos) made what appears to be his final appearance for now on CW’s soapy drama, Riverdale.

Consuelos departed Riverdale as a series regular on the season 5 finale, after coming on to the show in its second season in the role of villain, Hiram Lodge.

Riverdale executive producer and showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, shared with Deadline a statement on Consuelos contribution and run on the series: “From the moment Mark joined us, he was up for literally anything, a hundred percent committed to making Archie’s life a living hell. And what’s funny is, Mark couldn’t be more different from Hiram. A classy pro and the sweetest guy, always looking out for everyone. We wish Mark the best and hope this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Hiram Lodge.

Consuelos offered up these sentiments in a statement on his Riverdale exit: “First and foremost, I would like to thank Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa for this incredible opportunity. Never before has playing a character that was so bad, felt so good. Huge thanks to the Riverdale fandom, to the brilliant crew and amazing cast, whom I consider dear friends and family.”

So, will you miss seeing Mark on Riverdale? Elsewhere, still no word on the “Pine Valley” reboot in which Mark and wife, Kelly Ripa, are two of the executive producers of that many All My Children fans were hoping would come to fruition. Share your thoughts via the comment section below.
