WWE Survivor Series: A Masked Mystery Man, Liv Morgan Returns, and the Conundrum of War Games
Survivor Series came to San Diego’s Petco Park on Saturday night, November 29 with the all-star line-up in its Men and Women’s War Games match-ups which was to lay the foundation for WWE’s WrestleMania 42, but did it succeed?
A few things are certain, we have a good ole fashioned soap opera cliffhanger leading into tomorrow’s December 1 episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix with the sudden arrival of a masked mystery man who gave a Seth Rollins-like patented “Stomp” to a shocked CM Punk. Will the real culprit be revealed?
In addition, we got the surprise the return of Liv Morgan, who helped her man, Dominik Mysterio win back his Intercontinental Championship from John Cena in the best match of the night, which saw the GOAT finish up his final PLE performance in his legendary career. Now, all eyes are on how the WWE and Cena will position his final match of his career on Saturday Night’s Main Event in just little over two weeks.

Photo: WWE
With an announced packed crowd of 46,016 and in the seldom setting of a Major League Baseball, wrestlers were entering from the dugout, during the four match card that is the second PLE in WWE’s new deal with ESPN. Here are our top five takeaways from the night below!
WHO IS THAT MASKED MAN?
The main event was the Men’s War Games match-up between babyfaces: Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso vs. Logan Paul, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Drew McIntrye and Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman in their corner. War Games in the past usually works best when the team assembled all had a common goal or works as a full unit. Look no further than a few years ago when the OG Bloodline ruled the day.
Over the last few years, these battles have felt forced. After all the back and forth in the 2025 version, Lesnar was going to town with F5’s to everyone, and once the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns made it to the ring, War Games officially began. In the middle of the chaos, suddenly a masked man in the black hoodie descended from the steel cage down into the ring. He hesitated, then kicked CM Punk, then Stomped him, then ran out, allowing Bron Breakker to deliver the spear and win the match for the heels.

Photo: WWE
The Stomp looked so much like how Seth Rollins would deliver it, but with him truly (unless its another ruse of the year) recovering from shoulder surgery and still in a sling, the question is, are we supposed to believe it’s him and later when he is recovered, it will be revealed it was him? Or, will this go the way of most post-shows and that it is actually Austin Theory back from his injuries, joining the Vision and going after Punk?
ROMAN REIGNS FINAL WORDS WITH CODY RHODES
In one of the more problematic endings to a PLE, those hoping for a last minute extra shocker after the credits rolled, received a more subtle warning levied by the OG Tribal Chief who was not happy after his team lost War Games. As the three major babyfaces were now alone in the ring, Punk and Reigns seemed to make peace, but Cody Rhodes wanted nothing to do with Roman who tried to give an olive branch.

Photo: WWE
Rhodes was stubborn so Reigns told Rhodes this the last time they would team together. The way things are going, are we going to get Cody/Roman a third time at WrestleMania, but this time Cody as a heel and Roman as the face?
Ya Only Liv Once
John Cena’s title defense of the Intercontinental Championship against former champ, Dirty Dom Mysterio, had all the goodies and a big return to boot. First, in a brilliant idea, what looked like a truly botched hurricanrana spot on the outside of the ring by Cena and Mysterio, seemed to indicate Dom was hurt for real and could not continue. While the ref was checking on him, Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez were attacking Cena, then when the ref went to toss the women from ringside, Dom got off the floor not hurt at all and tried to trick Cena.
When Cena accidentally knocked out the ref, out came Finn Balor and JD McDonagh from the back. However, the 17-time champ showed that he still is one of the strongest men to ever do it by delivering a stacked Attitude Adjustment on the Judgment Day members together. Suddenly, Liv Morgan appeared. She gets into the ring and slaps Mysterio. So, as we are thinking she is now back to being a babyface … think again. Liv jumps into Cena’s arms, but her look goes from sweet to deadly and she then kicks him in the balls. Cena goes down for a 619, and Dom finishes him off with a Frog Splash to win back the IC championship. Liv and Dom celebrate!
This was so entertaining and everyone we spoke to at Petco Park loved all the spots in the match: the comedy, the shockers, the delivery and more.
IYO’S TRASH CAN AND BECKY THE MVP
The Women’s War Games match kicked off the show, with the heels: Lash Legend, Nia Jax, Becky Lynch, Kairi Saine and Asuka taking on the babyfaces of Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, AJ Lee, Iyo Sky and Alexa Bliss.
There were some very entertaining spots in the match including: Asuka’s mist landing right in her team mate Lash Legend’s face, Iyo Sky, who now has made a regular thing of her amazing Swanton Bomb while wearing a trash can, getting an assist by Ripley and AJ Lee when The Eradicator put Lee on her shoulder to get the can to Iyo for her signature move.

Photo: WWE
When all the heels went down only Becky Lynch was left standing for her team. Throughout the match, Lynch’s facial expressions were priceless. Finally, Lee landed the Black Widow finisher on “The Man” and she submitted, giving the faces the win.
RING MY BELL-A
In what felt initially felt like a forced heel turn, Nikki Bella, the Hall of Fame Divas legend, faced La Primera, Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE’s Women’s Championship. Bella works better as a heel, and although there was no one who thought that Vaquer was losing her title on this night, a bit of Bella’s ring rust is starting to wear off, after time on the sidelines.
Vaquer’s finishing maneuvers Devil’s Kiss and the stupendous, Corkscrew Moonsault were too much and would be for Nikki Bella, who lost the match. The crowd was pretty silent through most of the bout, but by the end seemed to have got into it a bit more.
IN THE END
For WWE Survivor Series/War Games 2025, we give it a B-. The ups were Cena and Dirty Dom, and Becky Lynch. The downs: the confusing ending to the Men’s War Game match and questioning where all the storylines move from here.
So, what did you think of Survivor Series 2025? What was your favorite match? How would you grade the card and what went down during the PLE? Share your thoughts via the comment section, but first check out some of the highlights below.
Days Of Our Lives
DAYS OF OUR LIVES: Marlena Looks Back at 50 Years in Salem

The June 22 episode of Days of Our Lives reminded us all of why Deidre Hall is iconic in the role of Dr. Marlena Evans. Here we are 50 years later, and Marlena is still the heroine of the long-running soap opera, and Deidre remains one of the most most recognizable names in the history of soaps.
To pay tribute, and to look back at the life and times of Marlena, the story starts with Marlena flipping through a photo album of her with John (the late Drake Hogestyn) over the years. As she misses him dearly, she gets a knock on the door and its none other than John’s son, Paul Narita (Christopher Sean).
With Andrew (Colton Little) in Salem working on a case, he sits down with Marlena, who says she can’t believe its been fifty years since she first arrived in Salem! Cue: Deidre’s first scenes on DAYS when she finds Mickey Horton (the late John Clarke) playing chess against himself inside the mental institution she worked.

THE FLASHBACKS OF MARLENA’S LIFE
From there, viewers definitely got the cliff notes version of the history of Marlena and entrenched within them, some of the biggest moments in Deidre’s enduring run.
Paul thinks he is looking at 70s, and early 80s Marlena while going through her scrapbook, but he is actually looking at her twin, Samantha (Andrea Hall). Cue: when Marlena confronted Samantha about impersonating her, and then later getting a call on her radio show from the Salem Strangler (Jack Coleman as Jake Kostichek) who killed Samantha thinking it was Marlena.
In the present, Belle (Martha Madison) has arrived at this time to meet up with Paul, unaware of this trip down memory lane. She wants to go over the findings in the chess board mystery Stefano willed to Marlena and John, in private with him, since Marlena previously said she wanted nothing to do with it.
Back to the history lesson, Marlena speaks highly of Don Craig and even though their marriage didn’t work out, she could find a path forward with the new love her life, Roman Brady. (Wayne Northrop however is never shown, possibly to keep the story focused on John as Roman for confusion sakes?)
Paul sees a photo of a young Carrie (Christie Clark) in the album and Marlena says she was such a godsend after losing her baby. In fact, Marlena says caring for Carrie prepared her for her having and raising her own twins, Eric and Sami. Cue: The twin visiting Marlena in the hospital.
JOHN AND MARLENA’S LOVE CONQUERED ALL
Then, in a way to get through and incorporate the wild storylines only Marlena could have been in, she tells Belle and Paul, she has been through so much in her life, how lucky she was to find John, and some of the most unbelievable experiences no one could imagine. Cue: Marlena possessed by the devil and levitating from the bed. Next, John confronting Marlena being the Salem Stalker, where she admits she killed Alice Horton, pretends she needs help, then pulls a gun on her beloved John!
The comment is made by Paul and Marlena, that she literally has been to hell and back and she could not have survived were it not for her beloved John. Cue the big emotional highpoint clips; The Pier Scene! Marlena steps out of the fog when John sees her from a distance. After believing she was dead for four years, here she was before him in one of the greatest reunions in a soap opera love story in history. What followed were other times of the life of times of Jarlena.

MARLENA’S ‘GIFT’ FROM STEFANO HAS A NEW CLUE
When Marlena makes a brief exit to the other room, Belle fills in Paul on the chess set Stefano left her mother and the photo of the Lire. Paul said he will investigate. Marlena comes back into the room and overhears, and says to promise her if things get dangerous he will back off, she does not want anyone hurt by Stefano’s games.
As the episode comes to a conclusion, it’s just Belle and Marlena going through the photo album giggling about 70s hairstyles and all the memories. Belle speaks on the impact Marlena has had in everyone’s lives, and that she is both the heart of their family and the heart of Salem.
An end card comes up acknowledging Deidre Hall’s 50th anniversary as Marlena, and we fade to black.
So, what did you think of Marlena’s walk down memory lane? Were you happy to see the flashback clips utilized throughout? Were you touched by the scenes and the performance of Deidre Hall? Let us know what you thought of Deidre’s 50th anniversary episode via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Sidwell Surfaces; A Twist in Britt’s Condition

On the Thursday, June 18 episode of General Hospital, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) makes his shocking return right in Port Charles, after fleeing (thanks to Cassius) to supposedly parts unknown to escape capture for trying to kill Dr. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
How does he show up in town? First, Ezra (Daniel Cosgrove) gets a text from Jacinda (Paige Herschell) to meet in his hotel room. Ezra thinks the two are going to have a sexcapade so he puts champagne on ice for his favorite escort.
Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Ezra’s excitement turns towards fear as instead of Jacinda, Sidwell is standing in front of him. Next, Sidwell blackmails Boyle telling him he has plenty of leverage he can use against him. Sidwell wants to use Ezra to help him takedown, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lucas, Laura (Genie Francis) and Cullum.

ARE SIDWELL’S DAYS NUMBERED?
Meanwhile, Sonny confides in his brother, Ric (Rick Hearst). He says he knows who killed Marco an he is going to use that intel to lure Sidwell out of hiding. Sonny also shares he is going to kill Sidwell, and handle this by himself. He gave the PCPD a chance, but they failed to nab Sidwell for good and lock him up.
Sonny also has been tracking the whereabouts of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Rocco (Finn Carr) through Brick, and learned they took a flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then boarded a fairy to take them somewhere off the island.

BRITT’S ‘SYMPTOMS’ RETURN
Turns out, Britt and Rocco are hiding out in the British Virgin Islands. Britt set up Rocco with a burner phone and a VPN on her tablet, that is not traceable. Rocco reads on the tablet about Lucas’ shooting. Britt starts to have the shakes and passes out. When she comes to, Britt won’t let Rocco call a doctor, but he uses his phone to step on the balcony and call Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and ask for help. Charlotte looks shocked to hear from her brother as Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) looks on!

However, Joe (Jonathan Bennett) could be the one to put two and two together! While at General Hospital and after questioning Lucas about a syringe he found that was in someone’s possession. the toxicology report showed traces of saline solution, not actual medication. He asks Dr. Jones, why someone would inject themselves with saline? Lucas responds saline is harmless and would have no effect on someone.
So, does this mean that this entire time, Britt has been led to believe that the medication she was taking to treat her Huntington’s disease was placebo? Has Britt been lied to into believing she is dying? Is something else wrong with her instead?
Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below, and if you are ready for Sidwell to finally get his comeuppance from Sonny! But first, watch the scenes where Sidwell comes out of hiding and blackmails Ezra Boyle.
General Hospital
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Dante and ‘Nathan’ Have It Out, Valentin and Carly Share Passionate Moments Which May Be Their Last
On the June 16 episode of General Hospital, the PCPD under acting police commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is in a bit of mess and does not go unnoticed by ADA Turner (Nazneen Contractor).
First, there is the whole Chase (Josh Swickard) defending Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) over Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who he arrested for allegedly tossing Willow in the waters next to the Quartermaine boathouse. Turner has had it with Chase’s good guy act and how he tampered with evidence in her case against Willow for shooting Drew.
Later, Dante and Justine question “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey) about Sidwell’s escape while in his custody. Turner is not buying his cover story that he was ambushed by Sidwell and his men. Once “Nathan” left the interrogation room, Turner went in on Dante about having “Nathan” on the force after seven years away, and Chase she views as a “dirty cop.”
However, Dante defends both of his officers, but Justine warned that “Nathan” and Chase’s behavior would reflect poorly on Dante as commissioner and she should really think about that. Later, Dante has a terse confrontation with “Nathan” on how he botched a prison transport and that he better watch his back as Justine is one step away from turning this over to Internal Affairs.
COP MADNESS
Next, “Nathan” apologizes for the way he handled the situation with Rocco and says he feels badly. But then in the twist, Dante said that he was grateful that “Nathan” had been there for his son in his time of need (referencing after Rocco shot Cullum and covered it up).
Then, there’s the newest police officer in the precinct, Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett). He may actually be on to “Nathan’s” double life when he questions him about a syringe found in Britt’s room at Bobbie’s. “Nathan” made up a story to counter Joe’s, that he was not aware that his sister was taking anything for her Huntington’s disease diagnosis. Joe called the forensic department lab wanting to know what drug was exactly in the syringe.

BEFORE YOU GO
At Carly’s (Laura Wright), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) tells her that he must travel to Geneva to speak to the head of the WSB, named Z. Valentin feels it’s the only way to save Josslyn if he informs Z about Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) being a double agent. Valentin shares with Carly that he has to stop Cullum from bringing his dangerous cold fusion device online. Carly is beside herself. She doesn’t want Valentin to sacrifice himself by turning himself into the organization who has made him a fugitive in the first place. Valentin stands firm that he must meet Z in person.
Knowing that revealing himself to the WSB meant he was likely going back to prison, Valentin asked Carly if she’d get in touch with his daughter, Charlotte so he could say good-bye to her. Next, Carly and Valentin make their way to the bedroom to make love, which may be for the very last time, if Valentin is caught and put back in Steinmauer Maximum Security Prison.

CAUGHT BY CULLUM
At the same time while at Wydemere, Cullum is talking with one of his WSB operatives. Now, he is pondering if Valentin and Sidwell were working together all along. Next, Cullum entertains the idea of involving the FBI to locate Britt and Rocco. He says he plans to kill them both once he knows of their whereabouts. Cullum sees the only other threat to the completion of the cold fusion project to be Anna Devane.
Cullum wants to track the location of the unidentified person who called the private clinic in France trying to get in touch with Anna, while pretending to be Kevin Collins. When the agent came back with a report, he says it emanated from a cell tower near Shoreline Road. It’s in the that moment that a light bulb goes on for Cullum! Valentin is in Port Charles and hiding at Carly’s!
So, what do you think of the PCPD cops, Chase, Joe and “Nathan?” Who should Dante fire? Do you think Valentin will go the run?Are you digging Carly and Valentin’s relationship and want it to continue, especially with Finola Hughes on her way back as Anna next month on-screen? Weigh-in via the comment section, and in case you missed it, you can check out our latest interview with Dominic Zamprogna below from his appearance on the Michael Fairman Channel, where he talks the PCPD cops, Rocco on the run, and more.
