Y&R Sneak Peek: Jack is shot by shocking bride Patty! – Watch the Video!

Looks like history is going to repeat itself this coming week on the number one rated daytime soap, The Young and the Restless.   During Jack’s wedding, he is in for a quite the surprise when he lifts up his bride-to-be’s veil and guess who is under there? Yup, crazy Patty!  So what’s a bride to do?  Shoot her groom!  And from the looks of this CBS promo she was aiming for Jack’s lower parts! (Sound familiar?)

Then, from the looks of things,  Jack is rushed into surgery with concerned family and friends gathered in the hospital, only to face another big hurdle when he wakes up!  This should give Daytime Emmy winner, Peter Bergman (Jack) some juicy stuff to sink his teeth into in the months to come, and who doesn’t love seeing actress, Stacy Haiduk (Patty) go off the rails!

Watch the video preview of next week’s Y&R and let us know what you think of the plotpoint?

Love it. Peter Bergman has not been given much to work with lately. The pairing with Genie Francis as Genevieve feels too contrived. Crazy Patty brings some life to the show:-)

I like this…………………….

Y&R was always my favorite show until the late 2000’s, when I discovered RC/FV’s ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I’ve been following Y&R casually again the last few weeks, and it actually seems to be getting better. I say that with caution, though, because MAB always ends up disappointing me. She doesn’t have the skill for character driven family drama like her late father-in-law, the great Bill Bell, had, and her follow-through has been mediocre at best. I’m still miffed about the undoing of the Katherine/Jill mother/daughter story, which along with Abby’s paternity, Cassie’s death and Phick, were the stories of the decade. Hopefully, the quality improvement will continue with the recent ratings upswing. Note to Y&R: you may want to keep MTS around because it seems you need her for the ratings; show your star the respect she deserves. In closing, I wish that if Y&R ever hires a new leadership team that RC/FV will be the choice to save this show for the long haul.

In my rambling before, I forgot to say how great it is that Jack is getting a meaty story. I must say, though, that I’m tired of Jack falling for every pretty lady that comes along. It seems so out of character for such a seasoned character. At least, with Victor and Nikki, no matter who they marry, we know they are each other’s one true love. Who’s Jack’s one true love? Diane? Nikki? Luan? Phyllis? Sharon? Emily? Genevieve, etc.? I guess my point is that Jack’s character deserves a little more respect that being written to so easily and shallowly fall in and out of love.

Yeah, I agree. No end game for Jack except for his love of Jabot – maybe that is his true love. It could be Phyllis, but she always messes things up by going back to Nick.

I’ve thought about that too. Jack’s true love, that is. I don’t know but I kind of liked him with Sharon!

I agree that maybe Jack’s one true love is Jabot. That’s a VERY good observation.

Agreed!

So, so happy that Stacy Haiduk is back on the GC canvas! She’s an amazing actress and she is absolutely riveting to watch as Patty/Emily. Please, MAB and Co…. please keep her around and don’t just use her as a means of wrapping up the Diane story. She deserves to be around for a long time!

I may actually like this storyline, even though it’s once again Patty with a gun.

Good some juicy stuff for Peter Bergman (Jack)….about time.
I always love the dialogue between him and Jerry Douglas (John).
Who I hope will make another appearance.

Tired of Victor…

Stacy Haiduk is the ONLY reason to watch the show these days.

Like!! 🙂

I love it!!!!! SH being back is the bomb. Hope MAB keeps her around for a long time to come. Where is Patty and Paul’s nosy mother Mary? One would think that she would be in the mix of all this, that would be remaining true to the core history of the show.

Stacy Haiduk is a very good presence on this show but please, can the Patty Williams storyline be put to rest… forever?! Haiduk excels in her over-the-top portrayal but the plots are too contrived, too silly, and therefore for me, lack any suspense or danger. And enough with the doppelgangers already!!! That said, I would love to see Haiduk remain as Emily and become a strong player on the Genoa City canvas. If Jack is paralyzed, he will need counseling. Jack and Genevieve are good together and the corporate/business competition can be intriguing. I see a strong triangle forming here.
