So, as On-Air On-Soaps first showed you from our photo gallery and pictures from the recent GHFCW 2014, Zachary Garred (Levi Dunkleman/Peter Harrell) has cut off his hair to a shorter-do! And this week of the ABC soap, fans saw the new look!

But when the decision was made to cut off the long hair, Zachary decided to donate it to the charity Locks of Love!  The actors gives some inside scoop to ABC.com!  on the hair change and more.  Here are a few excerpts below!

Garred on why he cut his hair:  “Given the revelations with Levi’s character it only seemed appropriate that he completely ditched the guise. Frank (Valentini) suggested some ideas to me and I jumped at the chance to cut my hair.”

Garred on what it means for his character:   “It is the revelation of the real Levi. The bloke under the hair and hippy guise who has been so manipulative.  But given how underhanded he has been maybe this isn’t the last incarnation Levi takes…”

Garred on why he decided to donate to Locks of Love:  “I had always wanted to do something for charity with my hair and Locks of Love was the perfect choice. Fans often asked if my hair was a wig, so it was only fitting that it went on to help in some way.  I also donated some money to Canteen in Australia, an association that takes care of kids and teenagers dealing with cancer. A very dear mate of mine had a brother who was treated for cancer, Canteen did so much for him and his family to help during chemo. I have always wanted to do something like this for such wonderful organizations so it’s great that some good came out of Levi’s nefarious ways.”

So, what do you think of Zachary’s short hair?  When Zachary teases, “this isn’t the last incarnation that Levi takes,” what do you think could be his characters next look?  Watch the scene below from this week’s GH, when Levi AKA Peter shows up with short hair in front of a kidnapped Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Lulu (Emme Rylan)! It looks SO much better! I didn’t like the other hairstyle at all.

Love the new hair. When I saw him for the first time I said to myself who is that guy?

I like him with the shorter hair.

Thank goodness – he looked REE-DIC-U-LOUS with the Little Lord Fauntleroy locks!

ha! I thought he looked cute with his long locks but now that you place lil lord faunt in my mind you’ve ruined him (with longer hair) for me! LOL…

Wow, he looks way better with shorter hair. Nice make over.

“I” am, no less than impressed, with Zachary Garred

say what one will : There was an immediate reaction to his presence on this show

loved to hate : for reals : whats up with him : Nathan loves him

LOL

he’s his own show and is contributing

gotta love them for the huge cast and less than writing

Are there TWO Brads on GH now…why do they sound and act and the same? Is he Brad’s half bi brother??? Some of these people could truly voice some classic cartoon character’s if this were the 60’s/70’s…did RC parents keep him from the TV most Saturday mornings and this style of writing is his payback?? Me just confused!!!

Right, Patrick. As soon as I saw him I said he was a baddie and up to no good! Is he trying to grow a mustache?….peach fuzz…

Much better with the short hair. Hope he sticks around awhile.

awesome!!

I love love love da` Dunkleman!!
He will always be the Dunkleman to me..

A great soap character and portrayed by the perfect guy, Zachary Garred!!

He is exciting, mysterious, dark, a bad bad boy!!
— something deep inside his revenge..
A good story!

Long live the Dunkleman! .. he never bores me and he’s a cutie 😉

Kudos to him for donating and for getting a hair cut too! I just think the hair people at GH need to realize that Levi wouldn’t have his poofed and sprayed like that. And in the middle of a kidnapping to boot!

He is gorgeous with the shorter hair. Sexy

He looks way better that’s for sure, as for the storyline I’m enjoying the history part of if and how it takes me back to my childhood but I’m tired of the kidnap part of it, it just feels dragged on. I am ready for some flashback though love Felicia and her long princess hair she had back then .

Having given hair to Locks of Love four times in the past 16 years, I commend this young man for doing this wonderful thing to help folks who have lost their hair to cancer and other illnesses. While I don’t watch GH, I do have friends who do, and while I know this young man’s character on GH isn’t well-loved, I hope the fans will truly love the young man, as he seems to have some amazing character.

Even I, who really dislikes this character, applaud him…more power to him.

The hair’s much better and so is his character! I couldn’t stand hippy-dippy Levi.

I like long hair on some guys but definitely not him–he looks much, much better now. And I’m actually able to resist FFing through his scenes now that his real character has come out. Hope that continues and that we get more than just a one-dimensional villain.

He’s got gorgeous hair; great of him to donate it. Though I love long hair on guys……short is nice as well…as is the darker color. I’ve googled him before; he’s worn his hair short before; in one of the pics it looks like he has blonde hair. It’s all good…

Lol 🙂

Getting rid of the ridiculous haircut and the hippy-dippy tofu-loving crap, and turning Levi into a villain, has made him much more interesting for me. Before I just wanted him gone so badly, but now that they’ve incorporated history into this story, I actually look forward to when this story is playing out. It’s much more interesting than some of the other stuff going on now.

He looks so much better. I hope he keeps it short.

This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”

Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.

Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.

Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.

Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Take a look at the official GH spoilers for the week below.

MONDAY, AUGUST 3
Jason makes a sacrifice for Danny. Elizabeth becomes privy to a secret. Carly is touched. Valentin has a warning for Nina. Josslyn cautions Brennan.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 4
Brook Lynn and Chase celebrate a milestone. Trina gets an earful. Carly’s plan backfires. Curtis is skeptical. Michael is anxious about his family’s’ future.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5
Sonny wants answers. Ava is struck with inspiration. Curtis’ trial begins. Brook Lynn wrestles with a big decision. Lucy and Serena scheme.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 6
Sonny makes a stunning announcement. Serena makes her move. Willow faces a new threat. Isaiah takes the stand. Lucy questions Laura.

FRIDAY, AUGUST 7
Josslyn is taken aback. Ava courts a new ally. Jordan and Anna catch up. Isaiah vents to Lucas and Elizabeth. Michael questions Jacinda.

Check out the latest ABC promo for General Hospital entitled, “What Did You Do?” below.

Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.

The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.

PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL

Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)

According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”

Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.

Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.

In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.

Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
