Kimberlin Brown Back to The Bold and the Beautiful

As expected, although viewers didn’t know exactly when it would be revealed, on today’s April 29th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila Carter is found alive and well.

Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Deacon (Sean Kanan) make the discovering that Sheila didn’t actually die; and that it was her plastic surgery makeover lookalike, Sugar, that met her maker. That means, Sheila’s portrayer, Kimberlin Brown, is back on the show and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) killed Sugar in self-defense, not Sheila.

Speaking on what was a shocking return for her, Brown chatted with Deadline about her getting the opportunity to resurrect Sheila one more time and with a new contract to boot.

When asked if she thought B&B’s executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell changed course midstream in the story, Kimberlin expressed, “Either that or he had this in mind all along and just didn’t tell me about it! But I can’t see anybody doing anything that evil, however. That would be a Sheila moment.”

Kimberlin also shared how she first learned she was being let go from the show, recalling, “Brad called me upstairs to talk to me about what he had in mind for Sheila. It was a hard pill for me to swallow. It had been years of playing Sheila, and I consider her my baby, so to speak. And that was definitely not news I was anticipating or hoping to receive.” She added “When I walked into his office, he looked at me and went, ‘We’re killing off your character.’”

As to what the future holds for Sheila, enduring villainess and fan favorite, Kimberlin Brown, shared some intel: “I am happy to say that I have been asked to negotiate another contract.’

So, glad to know that Kimberlin Brown is back as Sheila Carter? What do you think will be Sheila’s next move? Did you believe for a second, maybe two, that Sheila would really be ‘dead-dead’ on the soaps? Comment below.

Die bitch!

Hey KB as judge Judy says don’t pee on my leg and tell me it’s raining!! Ok you never left and just stop the garbage

I am so beyond happy!! My favorite actress and character ever!! Have followed the Sheila story from day one.

Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers and Sheila Carter never die Its in their DNA

I didn’t Sheila had died only because of the way those scenes went between “Sheila” and Steffy. The real Sheila would have had a more diabolical way of getting at Steffy instead of just walking toward her unarmed. That was my first clue the day I saw that episode.

Is anyone else besides Kimberlin surprised by this? Aside from the fact that it’s been foreshadowed for weeks, the fact that Sheila, one of the best villains in daytime, supposedly died in such a sudden and anti-climactic way seemed very implausible. Stefano DiMera and the Cassidines have taught us that you can’t keep a good villain down. I just hope they write a strong story for KB’s talents. The show is best when she’s front and center.

Sheila is back baby so get ready for May sweeps! And a new contract for the Emmy talented Kimberlin Brown. Brad may have saved his show with this resurrection of one of the best villains in daytime. Get out the commercials: Bold is Back!

no its not the Sheila character has become boring the ratings are tanking so is the show and they fooled no one with this fake death

I knew Sheila Carter was alive lol, not a surprise. Love Kimberlin Brown as Sheila, very happy she signed a new contract. We need Lauren Fenmore and Sheila to have another catfight. Let the games begin.

No that will not happen. Tracey said numerous times she’s was fed up with the repeated Sheila stories, it’s certainly why there isn’t interaction between Lauren & Sheila. More Tracey said she hated the catfights. Then, yes the actors don’t decide but Tracey isn’t a #BoldandBeautiful character and we know #YR isn’t interested by Sheila. I’m happy to see the ratings for the week if the Sheila’s return dropped. And I hope ratings continue to drop, this show is garbage.

I guess cockroaches aren’t the only things that “never die”. Can’t believe all the people that really enjoy this monster, who’s made people’s lives a living hell all these years in two cities yet! Now , when Shiela wakes up and sees her son, she can say, ” you love me, you really love your mother”. Gag me with a spoon!

Shocking return? It was about as shocking as the sun rising this morning.

yup we all knew from day 1 when she was meeting someone in secret to the point she went at steffy without saying a word it made no sense it had to be Sugar

Patrick Mulcahey OUT as General Hospital Co-Head Writer

After various reports surfaced, it has been confirmed that Patrick Mulcahey is out as the co-head writer of General Hospital. This is after a very short tenure of under five months.

Mulcahey was named to the position back in January of 2024 along with longtime GH writer Elizabeth Korte. They replaced the team of Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor, who had been the head scribes of the long-running ABC daytime drama since 2019.

A source informed Soap Opera Digest that stories created by the co-head writing team of  Mulcahey/Korte team will air through mid-summer. However they added “There will be more news to share at a later date as to the composition of the new writing team.”

In addition, eagle-eyed soap fans have seen that in recent episodes former co-head writer, Chris Van Etten has been credited, as he is reportedly a breakdown writer with the show.

Soap Opera Network is reporting that Korte has assumed the head writing duties solely on her own at the moment, while Buzz blog initially reported Mulcahey’s exit.

We will have more on the GH writing team evolution in the days ahead.
