Very sad news, Patricia was a wonderful actress. I loved Renee, she always stood up to Asa Buchanan. she was feisty, sassy and classy. Never took any crap from Asa. Rip dear lady.

She was a favorite of mine too…you described her perfectly…she will be missed!!!

Hi Jim, yes she will be missed. Renee was feisty and never took crap from Asa. I am so happy Jim, you are back on this website. Your comments lighten up my day.

Yes, Jim you have been missed!!!

I loved Renee–as did Asa–lol!
And I loved Phillip Carey as Asa.
That was a really classy show when the Buchanan clan come riding up on their horses!

I so agree with you. Loved Renee.

I miss that hunch with all my heart.

Bunch

My heart goes out to Patricia’s family and loved ones.

Renee and Asa Buchanan were one of my favorite couples on OLTL! Rene was the ex Madame with a heart of gold and truly loved that ornery old Asa Buchanan!

I loved Renee. Patricia made her seem very real. Some actor seem like they’re winking at the audience. It doesn’t seem real. Patricia also seemed like such a nice person. I’m sad that we will never see her act again. Rest in Peace, dear Patricia. I hope you and Phil Carey have a blast in heaven.

I met her at Broadway Cares some years ago. She was a very classy and gracious lady.

Oh no…so sorry to hear this. Always loved her on OLTL…RIP.

What a loss to the acting world. She was a wonderful actress. She will be sorely misssed. She was simply devine!

I’ll always be grateful to her for her contribution to OLTL as Renee. Loved her in the role.

I’m so sad. First, Nathaniel Marston and now her.

I am absolutely heartbroken to hear this news. Patricia Elliott was simple divine as Renee. I loved her so. She and the late Philip Carey were superb together. I thank you Ms. Elliott for sharing your marvelous talent with all of us OLTL fans. God bless and may you rest in peace.

I always loved Renee on OLTL. But I just find out I also saw Patricia on Broadway pre her Buchanan days. It didn’t mean anything at the time, just now reading MF’s story. Didn’t have anything to do one night while in NYC on business, found out David Bowie (one of my all-time favorites) was playing in The Elephant Man, so I went to see the play. Now I find out Patricia was playing opposite David in the role of Mrs. Kendall, one of Merrick’s benefactors. Oh would I love to have that night back knowing what I know now…and of course seeing Bowie again.

Awwwww. It’s like losing a very loved, friend. I’m always at a lack for words. RIP… My heart and prayers. May your voyage be blessed.

I always respected her performances.
First saw her on Broadway in “A Little Night Music”. One of her costars in that show was the late Victoria Mallory (Y&R) with whom she had a stunning duet with.
I remember how excited I was when Ms Elliott took over the role of Renee Divine from Phyllis Newman. She gave us so many wonderful years on OLTL.

Wonder if Phil Carey and Clint Ritchie welcomed her when she entered Heaven’s Gates? Enjoyed her as Renee. She put up with a lot!

Sad news, and not long after Nathaniel Marston passed. I really liked her as Renee and being with Asa. Such a strong woman to put up with a man like Asa. Prayers to her family.

So sad to hear of Pat’s passing, loved her on “One Life To Live” as “Renee”. She was such a genuine person, always gracious when I met outside the OLTL Studio. She will be missed.

I CAN”T BELIVE ANOTHER SOAP STAR ALREADY DEAD IT WAS BAD ENOUGH THAT NATHANEIL MARTSON AND DAVID CANERY FROM ALL MY CHILDREN. I DON’T WHAT TO THINK. I’VE WATCHED ON ONE LIFE TO LIVE MY FAVORITE SOAP. WITH ALL THE CO WORKERS BESIDES CLINT RITCHIE AND PHIL CAREY. THINK ABOUT ROBERT S. WODDS, JOHN BROTHERTON, MARK DREWIN, ERIKA SELZACK, ERIN TORPEY, BREE WILLIAMSON, PETER BARTETT AS NIGEL, EDDIE ALDERSON, DAN GAINTHER, DON JEFFCOAT NAD MANY MORE. AT LEAST SHE HAS REUNITED WITH PHIL CAREY AND CLINT RITCHE MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL OF THEM.

One of the great actresses the grace OLTL IN ITS GLORY DAYS. She was a class act! A true New York actor!

divine indeed!

Seems like yesterday that we were watching her various adventures with Asa (Phil Carey). Very sad…

So sad to hear about her death. I believe her character portrayal helped to humanize Asa Buchanon. RIP

I am not making this up. I was just thinking about her and OLTL early yesterday afternoon before I heard of her passing. She was a delight. Real, honest and caring are what her character Renee was. I am sure that it came straight from the heart. We have missed you as Renee for several years now. We will miss you, Patricia, always. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

I believe you Tom. Years ago one night I was taking a shower getting ready for bed & just running thoughts through my mind & I thought about OLTL & was looking forward to the next show & I thought about Clint Ritchie & how much I missed him & the next morning I found out he had died the night I was thinking about him. I am so sorry about Patricia & it just still makes me sick that we lost the best soap ever & I still miss it & everyone associated it with it.

Miss Elliott is one of the reasons OLTL was a wonderful daytime drama. The series mined trained and talented players who made the stories believable and honest, even when in later years the plots did become farfetched. Sad news indeed.

You are so right. I always said One Life to Live has the strongest cast I’ve ever seen. Patricia Elliott was most definitely included.

Godspeed lovely lady. Thank you for sharing your talent with the world.

There was always something very warm and maternal about Renee I think it all came from the wonderful actress who portrayed her.

Such a tragedy she was an amazing actress loved her on oltl her and aca was perfect for
Each other !!

I have been watching OLTL in ’95 and she was spellbinding. I will watch some of ’96 and I know she will be just as good. So sad that she is gone.

I started in ’97. I was only 10. My grandmother would tape the show for me, as I was in school. Best soap EVER!!!!!

IM SADDEN OVER HER LOSS. I’M WILL ALWAYS THINK OF HER AS RENEE ON ONE LIFE TO LIVE. I’M JUST BLOWN AWAY.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.

With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.

Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?

As those who saw the end of the original MP know, Peter and Amanda (Locklear) faked their deaths and then tied the knot with Peter on a beach, supposedly in a “happily ever after” scenario.

Photo: Fox

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”

Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

Photo: Fox

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.

As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you like to see Jack Wagner return as Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place, or Frisco Jones on GH, or both? Comment below.
