So, what do you think of the nominations? Who are you happy received one? Who do you think was snubbed? Share your reactions and thoughts via the comment section below.
Waiting for the SHARON CASE stans to start moaning about her getting snubbed for the 18th year in a row.
Yep Sharon got snubbed!
She absolutely deserved to be nominated! NOT Mishael boring Morgan, for doing nothing of any merit!
Mishael Morgan is being wasted!!
Lew S
She looked good at the wedding with her beautiful dress with cleavage down to there and much nicer hairdo.
Could it be Sharon Case doesn’t submit herself for consideration?! Besides m herself, Amelia Heinle and Mark Grossman I can’t think of anyone who’s done any stellar work on this pitiful show …
Surely no one would nominate Peter Bergman for a year of opening his mouth unsure to speak or cleaning his nails in every scene?! He did nothing of significance… Besides Micheal Morgan’s two months of family dramati all she’s done is provide counsel to Devon and Phyliss ..
If there was a set design award I would scream if y n r was nominated…
There are 4 sets in rotation and 2 of them look like Ikea designed them
Love the idea of a set design award. GH really excelled in the past year with the Metro Court pool, Port Charles Grill and Savoy introductions.
so what’s OUTSTANDING ART DIRECTION/SET DECORATION/SCENIC?…
The pool was a great idea for summer scenes…. even if it was ridiculously small for a hotel the size of the Metro Court.
Yes, I have heard that the actors have to submit themselves for the award. I’m glad you mentioned it. I don’t think many people know this as a fact.
Donna
I’ve known this for years but my question for years is have these judges ever seen these actors in action or only the little clips submitted?
So very happy to see Kimberlin Brown score her second nomination 29 years later. It is so well-deserved but it’s a pity Mr. Bell continues to ruin the Sheila character when he had the chance to redeem her and keep her long-term.
Kelly T (Britt, GH) is such a great actress, glad to see she is getting a nomination! Guess the academy voters weren’t impressed with SMike on GH either..lol
Glad to see KT get a richly deserved nomination. Not really surprised that GH was shut out of the Lead Actor category.
Some of these nominees make me angry. Why oh why do they keep nominating Bryton James? He puts me to sleep! And Mishael Morgan? WHAT? Did Kirsten STorms not submit or did the dummies on the panel not nominate her?
The only category that is great is Younger Performer. All five could win and it would be right.
Super happy for Cynthia Watros, Arianne Zucker, Nancy Lee Grahn, Kelly Thiebaud, and James Patrick Stuart.
Why do they have to nominate Peter Bergman a gazillion times? Enough already!
I simply can’t stand Carly – Laura can be a good actress when she isn’t shrieking her lines and over-acting all over the place.
GH got the most acting nominations but this was a “spread the wealth” year. So many wonderful performances overlooked: Josh Swickard, Michael Easton, Lisa LoCicero, Genie Francis, KIRSTEN STORMS!, and it would have been nice to have a sixth nomination for Eden McCoy in the Younger Performer category.
No Sharon Case? Oh brother! What does she have to do to get a nomination? Perhaps she didn’t submit…
You said it, Richard. Kirsten Storms’ omission means I will not be watching this year’s event. I feel that strongly about it. Nancy Grahn again? That’s a joke, even on the (very good) actress. Bryton James AGAIN? The smug, supercilious Jason Thompson version of Billy AGAIN? This is the worst list I’ve seen in many years. My only comforts are the nods to Cynthia Watros, Kelly T., Nicholas Chavez, and the omission of Sonny. I guess that’s something.
NLG had the foresight to not submit in lead. Her prison stuff was fairly decent, but if GH got another nomination in the supporting actress category, Amanda Setton should’ve got it.
Kirsten should’ve been nominated for lead. She drove story all year and didn’t support anyone.
Wish there was a way a nominating panel made these decisions pass by the actor-submits-self step. That way everyone gets a far review and obvious favorites do not seem omitted because they are humble or because the expense of the process.
Richard, so funny
I commented on exactly the same y n r noms, Bryton and Peter. The dry and the dreary
I agree with you! Especially about Carly!
Where is Eden McCoy?? The other Younger actors on GH that got nominated would not have been if not for her. This is outrageous!!
And Kirsten Storms also deserved a nod and even win for Best Supporting.
There are a few head-scratchers. I don’t understand how some people continue to get nominated, while others have never been so lucky. I love Katherine Kelly Lang on B&B. She continues to be the driving force of the show. Also, Rena Sofer and Jacqueline Macinnes Wood have been top notch. I love John McCook, but is he really LEADING? I like actors who are the driving force on a show. While Eric does, he is not on the show enough. Speaking of, where has Don Diamont been?
For DOOL, Marci and Ari Z are great choices. I would have liked to have seen Tamra Braun, Dan Feuerriegel, Billy Flynn and Carson Boatman mentioned.
On GH, Laura Wright can do no wrong. She chews up the scenery with just a glance. Genie Francis and Maura West are always at the top of the game.
On Y&R, I am baffled why Melody Thomas Scott has never been nominated. Sharon Case was robbed this year.
Agree about KKL and Sofer. Wood didn’t submit this year.
Love Genie Francis, but when you’re not on screen for 5 months, it’s hard to justify a nomination.
Maura is amazing, but you have to admit her storyline isn’t as strong as the years when she got nominated.
I am not sure about this list. Some of the strongest and most charismatic performers are not here. Will agree with B&B not making writers cut. Show is just adrift. The characters seem trapped in an endless loop of nonsense. I am hoping for a better year ahead in daytime.
These noms lost all revelance with Melissa Ordway and Bryton James. ‘The nominations s of Abby and Devon are sponsored by : Maxwell House! A bold cup of coffee sure to awaken you after your slumber of the two most boring characters on y n r’
LOL and Amen, Damien. I’m surprised they didn’t nominate baby Dom also..they probably didn’t because the character has too many surnames to squeeze onto a nomination ballot.
Lol. Well, if Finn & Elizabeth or Michael & Willow had been nominated from GH, they would’ve been sponsored by Sanka – bland and non descriptive.
Cynthia Watros? I think not!
For the record, here’s why a Devil doesn’t think Cynthia Watros deserves a nomination…..
She might be a very wonderful person off camera. Great…. but Nina is a complete parasite who is destroying General Hospital. She’s worse than Frodd or Whiny Heiny. Best comparison I can come up with is Daniel “Eggman” Jonas from Days… who was initially an insignificant minor character and then became forced into every story, with every character worshipping at his feet and dozens of artificial family ties instantly created for him, with no logical reasons for any of them.
About the only difference between him and Nina right now, is that they haven’t had to literally warp the space time continuum to explain her existence…. yet.
Sharon Case delivered an incredible performance last year! (as she does every year). Jordi’s nomination came out of Sharon’s storyline, it is so disappointing that she has not been recognized by the academy AGAIN!
Cancer Storyline
Bipolar Diagnosis
Faking Her Death
Kleptomania Diagnosis…
Just naming a few of the countless stellar performances Sharon Case has delivered in the last decade.
The academy nominates so many other actors/actresses who are involved in riveting storylines, yet consistently ignore Sharon Case. She’s always been a lead actress, no matter how crazy the storylines have gone!
Yes…….Why was Sharon Case snubbed!!!!!! Outside in her acting!! Michelle Stafford is another outstanding actress! I have been watching Y&R since day 1, these 2 make this show!! THEY ARE BOTH OUTSTANDING ACTRESSES, SO WRONG WERE NOT SELECTED!!!
GH should actually have more nominations than Y&R. GH is certainly the Best Daytime Drama with the Best Writing and Best Director. Cynthia Watros had a great year and is my choice but I think a DOOL actress may take the win. No preference for Best Actor as I think John McCook was only supporting at best. So a DOOL actor may take the trophy. Kimberlin Brown’s haunting portrayal of Sheila Carter should be a hands down WIN for Supporting at B&B. Kelly Thiebaud as Dr. Britt would be my only 2nd choice along with the missing Eden McCoy and Kirsten Storms. Supporting actor should be Jeff Kober as Cyrus Renault on GH. Sydney Mikayla as Trina Is my close pick over Nicholas Chavez as Spencer Cassadine for Younger category. I prefer Ted King or Naomi Matsuda as Dr. Li Finnegan on B&B for Guest winner. Outstanding casting goes to GH. Good luck to all!
I think Stacy Haiduk should have been nominated for Susan Banks not just Kristin DiMera
I actually think they should leave her as Susan permanently and bring back Eileen Davidson as Kristen. Never cared for Stacy’s version of Kristin at all, but she’s actually nailed the Susan character.
The women on the view are vile. I have no use for them and they are not good roll models for younger women!
I can’t believe Sharon Case has been snubbed again?? She’s in a league of her own too. Obviously too much Fentanyl in Hollywood!!

Now, five leading ladies of the soaps are vying for the gold for Lead Actress and the category marked the first-ever nominations for CBS daytime’s Beyond the Gates when two actresses made the final cut. Only General Hospital is not represented among the actresses this year after Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) took home the trophy last year.
