GH’s Friz Wedding Reception Set To Bring Romance, Drama & Plot Twists (Promo)

Courtesy/ABC

Next week on ABC’s General Hospital, it’s the long-awaited wedding reception of Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth), that is set to air and while the celebration is a must-see for Friz fans, there looks to be plenty of drama that comes with it.

In the just released promo for General Hospital over the fourth of July holiday, while the Baldwin and Webber families celebrate, someone goes overboard the Haunted Star (it looks like Liesl to us) and someone makes a shocking return.  Is it Hayden (Rebecca Budig) or someone else?

Meanwhile, Cameron (William Lipton) sings for his mom and step-dad, accompanied by his brothers, which is sure to be one of the best moments of the celebration.

Watch the promo below, and let us know … what else you think is happening in it with Brad (Parry Shen), Bobbie (Jackie Zeman) Et al looking suspicious? And are you looking forward to the Friz reception? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

I feel like I have been waiting for this forever! I hope GH will turn more focus to a strong legacy family, specifically THIS family! Franco & Elizabeth are a beautiful couple and there are so many stories they can tell with them that don’t involve triangles. Every show needs a really solid couple and this one is it for GH.

Thanks Becky, you said it way better than I did.

Solid? Franco is about as solid as Sponge Bob Square Pants.

I’m with you, Harry–of course! 🙂

I’ve been looking forward to this since February 14th, the day they said I Do..its been a long time coming!
(ps..They now share the same wedding anniversary as my parents..I’d love to see them last as long!!)

I love this so much… Love them! IMO Franco and Elizabeth are the best couple on daytime, it’s nice to see them getting some much long overdue attention. Love seeing so much of the cast all together for this. Webbers, Baldwins, Quatermaines, Hardys, Spencers… so much history in one room. Can’t wait!

Friz forever. That is all.

I’m so excited for this!! The promo alone is awesome!!❤️❤️ #WebberBaldwins

I love Friz, and I love that characters like Laura is so supportive of liz and still treats her like family, and Also bobbie, even though her daughter hates liz, bobbie still treats her like a friend. and oh those webber boys will be heartbreakers, love liz kids, she has three wonderful offsprings. Franco is very lucky. also nice seeing drew being supportive of liz and that they’ve become friends. can’t wait to see Hayden, maybe she’s coming home and know nick is alive? I know there’s to camps out there for team Hayden and Finn and team Anna and Finn, I love both Anna and Hayden so I’m staying Switzerland .

Hi, Aria; just to mention Liz and Laura are still family; as you know Liz was her daughter-in-law and they had a very close relationship; Liz is also the mother of Aidan, Laura’s grandson, and to top it off Liz and Laura are cousins, I believe. Liz is Jeff Webber’s daughter and Laura is Rick Webber’s adopted daughter… I, too, love their relationship!

This promo has me so stoked for next week on GH! This is the romance and heartfelt family moments we need to offset some of the heavier stories! And what better to bring the town together for an epic event than the merging of 2 of Port Charles’ most legendary and entertaining families! Bring on the Friz romance, family dysfunction and drama!!!

Can’t wait. I love this family, and hope TPTB will let them be a loving one for quite a while. I know there are lots of Franco haters, but I feel that he has changed for the better.

Although I’m not a huge fan of this couple…. I’m so excited to watch for some family, love and joy!!!

Can’t wait for Friz to end, tbh.

Dear Heavens, yes, I’m looking forward to FINALLY seeing their wedding reception; especially since their wedding was such a let-down. Last year there was all this talk about Liz’s family members coming back or not; then nothing. Now, of course, Hayden is coming back so it’s nothing surprising there. I do hope they can give us heart-tugging moments that make us care more…that goes for every character on GH.

This is a breath of fresh air. Imagine that, love in the afternoon, with some drama to spice it up. This is what people watch soaps for. A heroine that deserves and finally gets some happiness, a man who has changed for the better and won the woman of his dreams, vets shown, family, etc. I just love it.

I hope Shiloh walks the plank.

I didnt think it was possible to reinvent Franco but they have and Roger is such a lovable guy!

Scotty [Scooter] said he loved Franco and Liz and that is such a MAJOR step in Scott and Franco’s relationship! I love it.

Good to see Hayden back and I am happy she is with Jax. They make a good couple and it will piss Carly off!

Is Jax a cool dad or what? I love him and Joss hanging out.

They should have left Lisel to fend for herself! She looked like a giant rat when they pulled her out of the water!

Next, Sonny is heard saying,  Know what I do to traitors?” as he side eyes Dex (Evan Hofer)! Eventually a voice says, “He lost a lot of blood. Let’s get him to trauma one.” The end of the promo features a stunned Chase looking at Brook Lynn.

GH’s Adam J. Harrington Reveals the Behind the Scenes Story of Becoming John “Jagger” Cates

When Adam J. Harrington showed up on all-new episodes of General Hospital, it shocked viewers of the long-running ABC soap opera, because he was the recast John “Jagger” Cates.

The character was previously played more than 30 years ago by Antonio Sabato Jr., and as fans of the soap have seen, Harrington’s version of Jagger and his circumstances are quite different. As it turns out, Adam was in the dark at what GH role he would be eventually cast in.

Speaking with GH co-stars, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) on their Daily Drama podcast, Harrington shared the behind the scenes journey that led him to being the new version of John.

Photo: ABC

Adam shared, “I went into a chemistry read with Laura Wright (Carly) for a different character. I was told I wasn’t going to get the character, but hang tight, there’s something else. Then, that kind of took a couple of months and now we’re in December (2023), and then all of a sudden it was like, ‘here you go.'”

Once Adam was given a role on GH, he explained, “I still didn’t know who I was playing. I should have asked at that point. So the deal gets done, and I go, ‘By the way, who am I playing?'”

Photo: ABC

That’s the point where the GH powers-that-be let him in on just what he was about to take on. “They sent me a one sheet with John “Jagger” Kates in the description,” shared Adam. “It wasn’t until I went on YouTube and spent a good three or four days, watching all of Steve (Burton’s) storylines in the nineties (that I figured it out). By the way, they were fantastic. The production value … it was amazing the level of the acting, and the relationships you guys had. I really enjoyed it. So, that’s how I found out (about the character).”

Burton and Anderson asked Harrington about his thoughts on being a recast. “I thought it was important to go back to his circumstances and his upbringing, because that wouldn’t change no matter what he had become in the 20 or 30 or 70 years since we’ve seen him,” Adam shared. “I looked at what Antonio Sabato Jr. did and thought, ‘There was no way in hell I can even touch that or even come close, nor do I want to.’ The only thing I recognized was given his upbringing and what he’d gone through, it was a common sense of humor in there that’s either used defensively or as a way of getting through the world.”

As to how Adam should approach the part given it was a recast, he noted, “What I had been told from the brass is don’t worry about following that same emotional storyline. He’s gone away for a very, very, very long time, become successful and he’s come back. Basically, they were saying, you bring in you.”

Being part of the fabric of GH for awhile now, Harrington expressed, “I will say this about my experience so far. I am in absolute awe of the cast and the crew and watching how you do this on a train that refuses to stop. I said to a friend, ‘I’m on a train that’s going a hundred miles an hour, and they slow down to about 90 to kick you off after your scene is done.'”

So, what are your thoughts on Adam as John “Jagger” Cates after now seeing how the role has evolved and changed since its original version over 30 years ago? Comment below.
