Y&R’s Loren Lott Gets Her Opening Title Sequence Credit; Shares Her ‘Reaction’ Via Video Post

Photo: HutchinsPhoto.com

It’s a big day when you get your face in the opening title sequence of the iconic The Young and the Restless – those turns, those stares, all signature style of the top-rated soap.

For Loren Lott, she is now appearing in the opening sequence for the first time since she arrived on the scene in Genoa City as Devon’s (Bryton James) sister, Ana Hamilton.

When Lott saw herself in the opening, she posted it on her Instagram account with this reaction: “Omg ahhhh!!! My first TV intro. Not really sure how I ended up in the intro. I was on the show for 9 months. And I look delicious. Like a really good cookie in all that cream! With a splash a caramel (hi Bryton lol)! That’s some bomb ice cream lol Not gonna lie I screamed. I may have peed a little. Eeep!! Lol this was a very pleasant surprise! Thanx @youngandrestlesscbs @cbsdaytime@sonytvofficial !! #blessed”

Then if you watch the video of her reaction below, Lott does a hilarious turn as many have seen You Tubers do with their own videos – complete with quick cuts and oh-so-funny moments.  Check it out.

Now let us know, are you enjoying Loren on Y&R? What do you hope happens for Ana? Comment below.

Loren is not only gorgeous; her character, Ana, is credible—far cry from Tessa—
I hope she stays single for a while—–yet, knowing the soapworld’s mechanics, she will be paired with someone….let’s hope it’s not unpalatable, geeky Nate!!

Forgive me for taking this opportunity; however, I must say it before I bust!! What the hey is going on with these writers?!?!?! Everytime I see scenes with Tracy and Cane, I want to regurgitate—oh, wait–puke…I want to get down to the nitty-gritty and tell it like it is—–p u k e!! Where are the PTB headed with this? A ‘get-together’ between the two? Holy moly …please soare me. I have had enough of Cane. This is one character who is not needed—-Ergo, ye gods are trying extra hard to fit him into any fissure–a mouse hole is more like it. Cane is irrelevant. Always was, always will be.
It is such a silly, inconsequential storyline— giggly schoolgirl making googly eyes at defective, grosses-me-out idiot.
Tracy deserves better-C’mon–stop the nonsense before I SCREAM!!

CELIA. SPOT ON. That really bad horrific noir novel. It’s like a bad take on GL’s Nola stories back in the 80’s. Mal Young took the show to a better place but then turned apparently into Dr. EVIL. Writing whatever and for whoever he felt was worthy. Pinky finger mic and all LOL. This Tracy/Cain story is bonkers and stomach churning. It NEVER would happen. That dumb detective novel is madness in its self. And they devoted many scenes to it. SMH. I’d been off this show for a good while, over a year actually, and this is what I DVR’d? Sad state. But I miss my American soaps and I’m trying really really hard to get back interested. B&B is a mess. One story for 16+ characters, and two Muppet brothers with a weird father. Bill is weird and pervy. Bottom line. Days is just wacky for the sake of being wacky. Even James E. Reilly would be bonk Carlivitiron upside his head with a script. And GH is trying. Trying way too hard. There’s absolutely no reason the remaining soaps shouldn’t be experiencing a renaissance. The networks don’t want them to. So they won’t. They’ll continue to be sub standard. I’m done with my rant. I’m going to raise a glass to dearly departed Calvin Boudreaux. CHIN CHIN. LOL.

Right back “atcha”, dev—–to repeat yourbown words; YOUR comment is spot on!!
Yeah, right!!….Cane a sleuth of yore? No Lawrence Olivier, or Michael Cain he!!
Yuck!!!!!!
And these writers are a poor imitation of Anthony Shaffer. Seriously??
It breaks my heart to see the writing on the wall ( pardon the double entendre) as to where the rest my loving soaps are headed…..No rhyme or reason to this storyline.
LOL…quelle dommage, dev…poor, poor Calvin…CHIN CHIN and SALUT, indeed.❤️

Great! I can’t stand the fact that the Y&R credits for the most part show only the older generation. Where’s Kyle? I don’t think Adam has even appeared. How about Rey and Lola? Lets get some younger folks and diversity on there. We all know Victor, Jack and Nikki are the lead characters… we don’t need to see them every day!

Hi, Lola (Sasha Calle) was a part of the opening credits today and I am sure they have images of Rey & Kyle as well and Michelle Stafford as Phyllis.

That’s great they added Lola! But I’ve never seen Kyle. And Michelle Stafford — though she looks fab — is past 50, so not exactly a youngster anymore, lol. I guess change will come slowly!

00OOOHHH LAWDY!
that can not be unseen
I’ll never see her the same again, nope! the bell has been rung.

She looks really pretty. I’m just not loving the character or her story.

She’s gorgeous and looks amazing in the intro. But I cannot understand why Michael Mealor (Kyle) is not in the intro yet. He’s been on the show quite some time now and is part of one of the primary families.

Hacks co-creator and Downs’ wife, Lucia Aniello shared on Hall’s casting, “It made sense to us that Jimmy’s late father, a big-time manager, would have been married to an actress. When the idea for Deidre Hall came up, it just felt right.”

As for Lloyd, he will portray, reclusive writer Larry Arbuckle, who is to have had a rather famous grandfather. In the episode, Hall and Lloyd’s character intersect, which leads to onscreen sparks.

General Hospital

Lane Davies Joins the Cast of General Hospital Setting up a ‘Santa Barbara’ Reunion with Nancy Lee Grahn

Some very intriguing casting news out of General Hospital. The ABC daytime drama has cast former Santa Barbara favorite, Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell), in the role of Fergus Byrne, an attorney who crosses paths with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

According to TV Insider, Davies will make debut the week of May 22nd.  As soap fans know, together with the aforementioned Grahn, they created the Santa Barbara supercouple of Mason and Julia Wainwright. Davies portrayed Mason Capwell family from 1984 through 1989.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in Port Charles for Lane. From 2002-2004 he played Dr. Cameron Lewis and also shared on-screen story with Grahn.  At that time Davies, played Xander Smith’s father.

GH fans are wondering about the last name of Davies new character, “Bryne”. If you recall, Alexis got herself involved with therapist Dr. Neil Bryne, who died when Harmony broke into Alexis‘ house and killed Neil by injecting him with opioids.

Taking to her Instagram, Grahn shared her excitement at the upcoming on-screen reunion with Davies, “It never gets old. We do 😂…. but it doesn’t 😍. Lookin’ forward to another romp.”

So, what do you think about Lane Davies returning to GH to play an attorney in Alexis’ orbit? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

One Life to Live Alum Jonathan Groff Receives 2024 Tony Award Nomination for Leading Actor in a Musical

Nominations were announced on Tuesday for the 77th annual Tony Awards by previous winners, Renée Elise Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline Williamson, One Life to Live) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

When the dust settled it was Stereophonic (which is loosely based on the story of Fleetwood Mac) and Hell’s Kitchen (Alicia Keys musical) that both scored 13 Tony nominations to lead the pack.

However, Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along made quite the comeback and is nominated for several awards including Best Revival of a Musical and for one of its stars, Jonathan Groff (ex-Henry Mackler, One Life to Live).

Groff is nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical and will go up against Brody Grant — The Outsiders, Dorian Harewood —The Notebook, Brian d’Arcy James — Days of Wine and Roses and Eddie Redmayne — Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club.

In addition to his previous Tony nod for his role in Hamilton, Jonathan was nominated for a Lead Actor in a Musical for his role as Melchior Gabor in the original production of  Spring Awakening.

Jonathan co-stars in the revival of Merrily We Roll Along “Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe and previous Tony winner Lindsay Mendez.

Back in 2019, Groff visited Live with Kelly and Ryan and discussed his debut on One Life while working at night on Broadway in Spring Awakening.

He shared on his experience on the soap, “I do remember my first day because I was doing Spring Awakening on Broadway at the time, and One Life to Live was my first time ever being on TV.  So I got this offer, and I was like, ‘Yes, I would love to be in a soap opera,’ and we finished Spring Awakening at 11:00 p.m. and I woke up the next morning at 4:0 a.m. to walk uptown to go to do One Life to Live, and I called my agent and left a message, and I said ‘You have to get me out of this, I can’t wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning!'” You can watch the clip below.

The 77th annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 16, with Tony and Oscar winner Ariana DeBose returning to host for the third time.

So, rooting for Jonathan to take home his long-awaited Tony Award after several decades in the theater? Do you remember him as part of teen scene on OLTL? Comment below.
