GH ‘One Aftershock After Another’ Promo : Fayden’s Daughter, Ava Stalked, Judge Rules On Franco

Courtesy/ABC

This week and in October, General Hospital looks to be ramping up some storylines that will have major consequences for the citizens of Port Charles.

In the latest promo for the ABC daytime drama series, Hayden (Rebecca Budig) seems to reveal that the little girl in the hospital bed is Finn’s (Michael Easton) bio-child.  The little girl seen in the promo is young actress, Jophielle Love.

Elsewhere, Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) wants Ava (Maura West), what will his next move be even if he is supposedly behind bars? Ava is frightened and says she is being stalked.  She also has been sipping one too many martinis lately to calm her nerves.  Will Halloween horrors come Ava’s way?

Meanwhile, the judge is ready to rule in the competency of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) who has been mind-mapped with Drew’s memories.  How will the decision impact the lives of Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Cameron (William Lipton), Kim (Tamara Braun) and more?

Watch the promo below  Then, let us know how you think these three storylines will play out via the comment section below by sharing your theories.

OK–
My friend was in the kitchen doing pizza while I was reading this stuff..
I see ” Fayden ”
I asked her.. who is this Fayden person?
she said who?
I said GH a Fayden
silence then..
ohh that’s one of those squished names
it’s probably Haden and Fin?

Why on earth do intelligent Adults insist in Kindgerdnen neener neener speak? huh?
It is the most ridiculous thing, it makes grownups look brain deficient.

If I had a 6yr old children I wouldn’t allow them to speak in stupid squishing names/words..
if they did I’d inform them that grownups don’t speak that stupidly, do want to speak baby talk??

AHAA! it hit a raw nerve, a peeve of mine for sure.

Su, I keep wondering why intelligent adults insist on referring to a GH actor they don’t like with these nicknames that sound like they come from a bullying middle-schooler on the playground. It’s fine to not like an actor’s style or character or whatever, but the insulting personal attacks via these nicknames are not clever; they just make the posters look petty and immature. It is possible to criticize and still behave like a civilized adult.

Cute kid. Perhaps she could give acting lessons to the Parking Lot Flop. Send Kim to the looney bin. This Franco mess is atrocious.

If Drodd could have at least answered Jason’s question and “remembered” Whiny Heiny from the days when Real Drew was abducted from Afghanistan & smuggled off to Greece or Russia or where ever the brain mapping happened, and this resulted in Whiny Heiny getting either killed or shipped off to prison….. well then at least there would be some valid purpose to the ridiculous mess of a storyline that is “Drodd”.

As it is, I’m hoping the US Navy has dispatched some MPs to arrest this mentally addled lunatic (and his lawyer) for committing “stolen valor”, with Drodd wearing Drew’s dress uniform & trying to pass himself off as Drew. BTW, wouldn’t Drew’s memories also include some confidential details of Navy SEAL missions, which the Navy certainly wouldn’t want to fall into any unauthorized hands? They should be locking up that impostor for that reason as well.

Satan, you aren’t trying to apply logic to this convoluted story line, are you? I know you are smarter than that.

Not even Spock himself could find logic in Port Charles. Yet, a Devil keeps trying to make at least a little sense of it.

Well, the little cutie playing Violet is just that, a cutie. What I really having trouble with in this story is that Anna has been gone for soooo long, I have lost any care I had about her and Finn being together. Hayden and Finn are getting so much play without us seeing how Anna feels about it. And all this is because why??? Is Fiona off screen for personal reasons? Are we really supposed to believe it’s taking all this time to find her sister for some thinly plotted storyline no one cares about? Get Anna home and let’s see Finn and Anna and Hayden work through all this mess.

As for Ava’s stocker…I think it’s turn out that it’s Nic, very much alive and wanting to reconnect. I loved them together in Greece and would love to see them reunite; a power couple to rule PC. And wouldn’t it be great fun to see Ryan go crazy because he couldn’t do anything about it from behind bars?

I haven’t seen Friday’s episode as I write this, but I hope the judge ruled that Franco couldn’t make his own decision. This whole thing is running too long and is too stupid. I keep waiting to hear someone to say that Franco did not choose to die, he only chose to keep his step-son’s memories from being swiped. “Drew” didn’t choose do live in Franco’s brain, Shiloh and that quack doctor forced it upon Franco. It wasn’t a choice, it was a crime and should be treated as such. I guess we’ll have to wait until the November or (worse yet) the February sweeps to see the operation go through and find out what happens. Ugh! They have really turned most of the characters on the “Drew” side into idiots. What a shame. Only a few scenes have worked for me. Looking forward to this story line ending asap.

Rodd,
Agree that little Violet is adorable, and she couldn’t have a better daddy than Finn. I read somewhere that Anna/Fiona takes time off every year to be with her family, but I have to say , I lost interest in her way before she left.
I do not know what to think of Franco/Drew SL., but you sure nailed it by saying that it was a crime that was done to him, not a choice, and would or could be considered assault maybe, like any other physical harm done to someone. Excuse my rambling, I dont know what the hell I’m talking about.
I am sure you are right about Ava’s stalker being Nickolas, but what I am wondering about and which no one has addressed is the fact that before he was “killed”, Nick was still married to Heyden, and it hasn’t been that long for him to become legally dead. Am wondering if that might throw them back together somehow?

What a beautiful child!! I hope and pray, the ‘ye gods’ do not kill her off—they seem to thrive on doing away with babies/ children, in general.
I am finally into a story with substance.
I think we all knew that Hayden would return with Finn’s child…..it was a given….please keep this story alive—BUT, in a positive direction, for once.

Next, Sonny is heard saying,  Know what I do to traitors?” as he side eyes Dex (Evan Hofer)! Eventually a voice says, “He lost a lot of blood. Let’s get him to trauma one.” The end of the promo features a stunned Chase looking at Brook Lynn.

GH’s Adam J. Harrington Reveals the Behind the Scenes Story of Becoming John “Jagger” Cates

When Adam J. Harrington showed up on all-new episodes of General Hospital, it shocked viewers of the long-running ABC soap opera, because he was the recast John “Jagger” Cates.

The character was previously played more than 30 years ago by Antonio Sabato Jr., and as fans of the soap have seen, Harrington’s version of Jagger and his circumstances are quite different. As it turns out, Adam was in the dark at what GH role he would be eventually cast in.

Speaking with GH co-stars, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) on their Daily Drama podcast, Harrington shared the behind the scenes journey that led him to being the new version of John.

Photo: ABC

Adam shared, “I went into a chemistry read with Laura Wright (Carly) for a different character. I was told I wasn’t going to get the character, but hang tight, there’s something else. Then, that kind of took a couple of months and now we’re in December (2023), and then all of a sudden it was like, ‘here you go.'”

Once Adam was given a role on GH, he explained, “I still didn’t know who I was playing. I should have asked at that point. So the deal gets done, and I go, ‘By the way, who am I playing?'”

Photo: ABC

That’s the point where the GH powers-that-be let him in on just what he was about to take on. “They sent me a one sheet with John “Jagger” Kates in the description,” shared Adam. “It wasn’t until I went on YouTube and spent a good three or four days, watching all of Steve (Burton’s) storylines in the nineties (that I figured it out). By the way, they were fantastic. The production value … it was amazing the level of the acting, and the relationships you guys had. I really enjoyed it. So, that’s how I found out (about the character).”

Burton and Anderson asked Harrington about his thoughts on being a recast. “I thought it was important to go back to his circumstances and his upbringing, because that wouldn’t change no matter what he had become in the 20 or 30 or 70 years since we’ve seen him,” Adam shared. “I looked at what Antonio Sabato Jr. did and thought, ‘There was no way in hell I can even touch that or even come close, nor do I want to.’ The only thing I recognized was given his upbringing and what he’d gone through, it was a common sense of humor in there that’s either used defensively or as a way of getting through the world.”

Photo: JPI

As to how Adam should approach the part given it was a recast, he noted, “What I had been told from the brass is don’t worry about following that same emotional storyline. He’s gone away for a very, very, very long time, become successful and he’s come back. Basically, they were saying, you bring in you.”

Being part of the fabric of GH for awhile now, Harrington expressed, “I will say this about my experience so far. I am in absolute awe of the cast and the crew and watching how you do this on a train that refuses to stop. I said to a friend, ‘I’m on a train that’s going a hundred miles an hour, and they slow down to about 90 to kick you off after your scene is done.'”

So, what are your thoughts on Adam as John “Jagger” Cates after now seeing how the role has evolved and changed since its original version over 30 years ago? Comment below.
