Kassie DePaiva Says Farewell As Eve: “Thank You DAYS Fans For Always Taking A Ride With This Character’s Journey … No Matter How Bumpy”

Photo: JPI

Friday marks the final appearance of this run for Kassie DePaiva in her role as Eve Donovan on NBC’s Days of our Lives.

Returning to the show for an arc of story: Eve was the responsible party for having Ben (Rob Scott Wilson) kidnapped at his wedding to Ciara (Victoria Konefal), all in her efforts for retribution for the death of her daughter, Paige (True O’Brien) at the hands of Ben.

Throughout the storyline, DePaiva once again illustrated why she is one of the true MVP’s of the soaps from her time on Days of our Lives, One Life to Live and General Hospital.  She always gives a 110% to her performances.

Kassie took to Twitter today to express the following on her final airdate:  “It’s a bummer #Eve got caught. Today’s my final air show ⁦@nbcdays Thank you ⁦@carlivatiron for this chance have fun in Salem. Thank you #Days fans for always taking a ride with this character’s journey… no matter how bumpy. #grateful”

So, sad to see Kassie go? What did you think of her performances in this current storyline? Comment below.

Totally stinks! I will miss her! Hopefully she will be back. She deserves more respect than this! She is a super actress.

I loved her as Chelsea on Guiding Light when she was just starting out in Soaps. Haven’t seen her as Eve on DOOL other than her mini stint at GH when there was a Tad overlay. Maybe Kassie can make her way over to Genoa City and bring some love to Jack???

Don’t let the door hit ya where my Former Employer split ya, NOT-Eve!

For the love of all that’s unholy, let that be the end of this destruction of a once great Days character. I don’t even want to hear the name “Eve Donovan” again, unless the REAL Eve returns one day. And that probably shouldn’t be too soon, given that she wouldn’t want to have to carry the albatross around her neck of what this travesty has done to the character.

No way Charlotte Ross could have ever pulled any of this off! Kassie DePaiva can act circles around her!

What you want is of no importance to the producers and writers of DOOL. Haven’t you figured that out yet?

I was actually ON Days of Our Lives for a while (remember when I possessed Marlena) so I think I probably have a better idea of how things work there than you might think.

Not inside ReRon’s head though…. that’s a barren landscape no demon would want to get trapped in.

Kassie DePaiva deserves much better. She is a legend, the writing and story line for Eve was much better several seasons ago, the year she was nominated and SHOULD have won the Emmy. I wish one of the three better written soaps would snatch her up…

Hi, Echo
Unfortunately, in my opinion, none of the other soaps is doing any better—-Actually ( comparatively speaking), Days is bringing it for me, albeit Kassie’s suddendeparture left me wanting.
The only appeasement would be to have Adrienne return. I said this before and I’ll say it again…..Bonnie is Adrienne. It’s Salem—the impossible becomes reality—C’mon, ye gods—do your thing.

Bad writing has ruined this character. Way over the top.

Over the top is Ron!

Kassie DePaiva is a damn good actress. No doubt about it! With all the turnover (aka turmoil?) in the cast, I hate to see her leave.

You won’t find an actor more loyal!

I love Kassie and her deplorable exit truly befuddles me. This is one character whom could have been redeemed—-instead, she is leaving with a heavy load of dirty laundry—a bad mother, a backstabber, a seductress of boys, a cheater, a manipulator and a crazy woman.
I hope she comes back as a different character. Sorry to see her go….

Will never miss her character. Hope this is the end of her! Don’t know who is worse, she or Kristen. Yes they are trying to redeem Kristen but to me she will always be like a time bomb ready to blow up, unless you stay on her good side.

The story arc was awful. I just don’t find torture entertainung. However, Kassie DePaiva’s performance was fantastic. She clearly showed why she did it.

hope to see her on a show somewhere soon… she is always highly enjoyable no matter where she is acting… she was even able to shine on oltl online 🙂

Why is Eve leaving before the story of Ben/Ciara is not even close to an end ? Her performance was great but she should remain to feel the wrath of Hope and Ben.

PS.
Bonnie died in the car acciden—-don’t know how the “switch” happened ( Dr. Rolf’s henchmen?) —-that’s not for me to figure out. LOL

kassie always gives any character she portrays her 100%! I wish she could get a permanent part on either GH or Y&R. She ìs too good of an actress to do something
for just short segment. No matter what, it is always great to see her no matter what soap city she turns up in!

Time for Blair to reunite with her one-time friend, Carly?

Not now. Not ever. The stench of OLTL still pollutes GH enough as it is.

I guess she forgot she also recorded the episode that aired Monday September 14 !

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
