Which DAYS ‘Undead’ Return Have You Enjoyed the Most … Nick, Charlie or Deimos?

Photos: JPI/Peacock

This week in the spirit of Halloween, Days of our Lives has been airing some very devilish episodes, with at its epicenter, the MarDevil’s (Deidre Hall) plot to wreak havoc on the town of Salem by resurrecting some of its all-time bad boys!

MarDevil goes to each of the gravesites of Charlie Dale (Mike Manning), Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) and Deimos Kiriakis (Vincent Irizarry), and literally takes them out of the ground and gets each of them to go after the people that put killed them in the first place.

For Charlie that is Allie (Lindsay Arnold) and for good measure his mother Ava (Tamara Braun) and half-brother, Tripp (Lucas Adams), for Deimos that is Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), and for Nick, well, he has it in for Gabi (Camila Banus).

Throughout the Monday through Wednesday episodes, viewers watched flashbacks of how each of the bad men were murdered, and how now they have risen to torture their foes.

Blake Berris, Mike Manning, and Vincent Irizarry all looked as those they were having quite the fun time playing the zombie-versions of their once Salem characters.

And as viewers saw, Gabi killed Nick, yet again, after finding Jake (Brandon Barash) buried, Tripp hit Charlie multiple times with a frying pan and cracked and his skull, and Nicole stabbed Deimos … again.  However, of course, no one else in Salem saw the zombies, making it difficult for the very much alive folks to get anyone to believe what just happened to them.

When the dust settled, it left Nicole and Rafe (Galen Gering) getting hot and heavy!

So did you enjoy seeing Blake, Mike, and Vincent again? What character’s undead return did you enjoy the most? Comment below.

I enjoyed Blake Berris as Nick and especially Mike Manning as Charlie!

I really wish there was some way to bring Mike back to Days – a cousin or an identical twin? A complicated hero would be great. I miss him. He’s great on The Bay, for which he won his well deserved Emmy. He deserves an Emmy for his work as Mike from earlier this year: his reel ought to start with the rape scene, then a bit of his talk with Gwen in Horton Square, then move to his hands up at the doorway, a bit from his scene with Allie, then Sami, then Jan, and end with his death scene with Ava – that’s an Emmy winning performance! (:

I didn’t care for Vincent’s return as Deimos – that one was a dud.

The kiss between Mardevil and Nick was actually hot! (;

I should explain that kiss…. I totally did that to mess with Nick’s head.

Here’s why…. even though I’m walking around Salem in Marlena’s body, I’m still considered a “male” entity (even though I technically have no gender, as mortals understand them, which I pointed out at the time)

And Nick – you may remember – was a MAJOR homophobe. All the terrible things he did to his own cousin, Will.

So it was a little trick I played on him. Thanks for noticing!

What ? I had no idea… Mike Manning WON (emmy), and deservedly so… even if; it’s the Bay… no disrespect. of the three, yesterday… i kept thinking , about the presence, the realism, the feed off of; his characterization’

Mike Manning, should be brought back… at this point… especially to explore that much more scenes with Ava ????? COME ON @DAYS… where’s Ava and Tripp ??? Tamara Braun is MAGIC… and watching Nicole boobs with nothing past that ??? Nicole has run her course… PLEASE just end this dead flirtation w/RAFE. Jeezus, he looks like he’s just biding his time… talking about being “jelous” of that paddington bear. Christ. off topic… Mike Manning is “Dynamic” KUDOS for his STARRING roles’. AND I LOVE YOU to the moon and back… Blake Berris !!!!

Mike Manning… how remiss, to have wasted this man talent
Blake Berris…I’d KISS YOU !!!! again…@Days could and should bring him back
Vincent Irizarry – I propped you on another post… jotted you down for that Greek profile !!!! even still’ Puerto Rican/italian – Dag the jovial intensity
PLUS your talent in playing Piano, classically… you should share some on youtube. it’s my favorite instrument… I played sax .

@DAYS , aside from the DiMera MUST HAVE… does NEED some bad boys… WOW I just LOVE how Paul Telfer, bade his time… and he’s NOW @DAYS LEADING MAN. HUNK

@DAYS of OUR Lives – bar none has thee finest Male Cast. TREATS

I echo the views expressed by richard w griffin and Patrick, particularly the accolades bestowed on Mike Manning and Blake Berris. No offense to Vincent Irizzary or his character, but I missed most of his original storyline. (Not sure where I was. Perhaps Kristen moved me for a temporary stay on a deserted island.)

But getting back to Berris and Manning, I enjoyed their original storylines, their acting, and their returns. Wish they could be back as regulars… Each has phenomenal presence.

Nod to our beloved Satan: thanks for explaining that kiss! Sometimes a kiss, even if the kiss is on my list, is just a kiss. But I like your scenario.

I agree, Jamesj75, about Mike Manning. Even dead, he’s hot (no pun intended). I so hoped GH would pick him up. It’s sorely in need of some pulse-raising men. I’m sorry but bringing back Drew as a robotic fossil just doesn’t do it for me. And since GH can’t rid itself of Peter the Puke, adding Mr. Manning would be a real coup.

I agree with your assessments as well, Soaphound. GH would be smart to cast Mike Manning. I am sure that TPTB at DOOL realize their mistake in letting Manning slip through their hands. A zombie Charlie is better than no Charlie…

Problem with bringing Mike Manning on GH is that they have way too many new characters as it is, and he’s either too young or too old to fit any of the long absent roles which might be due for a recast.

Now maybe if they cut out some of the dead weight to make room… Whiny Heiny, ToddFroddAustin (I was willing to give the third incarnation a fair chance, but he really brings nothing to the show, yet again)

He might fit the role of Lucas Jones actually. Though they rarely write for the character, which is why Ryan Carnes left, and the last recast was only seen twice (and nobody seems to notice he’s missing) He could pass for Sam’s bio-brother.

Satan, you’re right: If GH ever made a solid commitment to the character of Lucas, Manning would be cool. Also, your idea of Manning being Sam’s bio-brother is golden…

Well, at least three people saw Charlie (or four, counting Carmine the dead mobster), and Nick was apparently seen by a number of people, according to what Kate said to Julie. We know that Phillip saw him, though he dismissed it as some kid’s zombie Halloween costume.

Nicole, on the other horn…. she’s got no corroboration that Deimos came to visit her at work. Unless the stuffed bear starts talking to Rafe again. And no, that wasn’t me making that bear talk, just in case anybody was wondering!!

Hope y’all enjoyed my Helloween prank. Now back to my regularly scheduled possession story…….

Hands down… Nick Fallon (Blake Berris) was completely awesome in the episodes. In my opinion, the best of the three undead returns!

I wish GH could find a home for him as a new character/not Spinelli. Or, maybe he can be a long-lost twin of Nick’s. Blake is a fine actor!

I’m with you…I always liked Blake on the show.

Loved all of them. They should never have been killed off

I enjoyed Charlie the best because Mike Manning brought the acting CHOPS. He was always good but MM’s developed even further as an actor since his departure. He was frankly AMAZING, and I told him so on Twitter. A stunning talent!

Bringing back 3 rapists was gross and uncalled for. Especially Charlie because he raped Marlena’s granddaughter. I know this is an outlandish storyline, but some boundaries should be respected and some lines should not be crossed.

OMG!

It was a great idea to bring back former cast members; certainly unusual. I especially was hooked by Nick. He had such swagger and one-liners; plus he looked amazing! I wish they’d find a way to bring Blake back full-time. Not necessarily as Nick, of course, but as a Horton cousin or something.

I didn’t enjoy any of it. This is the worst storyline Days has ever had, starting with the possession of Marlena again.

I’m with YOU Carol – as I said above, it is possibly the worst story line they have ever come up with –

Wait till you see what I do next. Let’s just say I’m about to change residences again…..

None. This was stupid and ridiculous.

Loved Charlie and Nick!! I never liked Deimos

^^^^ doesn’t MY GABS – LOOK so DARNED CUTE !!!! oh she’s my girl… and or woman ! she’s always flanked by DUDES

My friend and I thought it was kind of funny and stupid. Then again zombies are very popular. If i had a choice I would say Charlie.

Dark Shadows it is NOT!

I enjoyed Nick and Charlie returning. Also liked Kate telling Julie Nick was back. LOL

HORRIBLE and the worst, the absolute WORST story line they have ever come up with – ridiculous and inane – badly written and poorly acted (for the most part) but then again, in fairness to the actors, they can only do so much when given such atrocious material. If this show continues on this particular path it, like these zombie characters, won’t be long for this World.

It was different for a soap. Dont know how they will explain dead Carmine. I thought the zombies could be scarier though. The rotting limbs should have been dropping off Charlie and roaches or mice should have been involved with Nick and Jake.

I have to say Gabi outdid herself digging up the dirt. She’s always been good at that. One time, around was enough for me with those three guys, although I’d take V.I anytime, on any show.

“Daytime television invites viewers into the private lives of characters, often bringing important issues like cancer screenings into living rooms and around water coolers. Soaps debuted the first cancer storyline in 1962 – years before the topic was discussed in the mainstream, and it left an indelible impact: a whole generation of women who scheduled a potentially life-saving Pap smear for the first time,” said Daytime Stands Up host Alan Locher. “For so many viewers, this brought the issue front and center,” added co-host Michael Fairman. “Today, it’s become almost impossible to avoid; but there is hope with cancer research, thanks to organizations like Stand Up To Cancer.”

SU2C Co-Founder Sue Schwartz, SU2C President and CEO Julian Adams, Ph.D., and SU2C Health Equity Committee Member Elizabeth Jaffee, M.D., will also participate to speak to the importance of early detection, exciting scientific breakthroughs, and the ongoing work yet to be done to make screenings and treatment equitable for all.

“This year, an estimated 2 million people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer, presenting an opportunity for the public to stand with us and rise to the occasion,” said Adams. “We’re thankful to Alan Locher, Michael Fairman and our friends from the daytime television community, who will raise critical funding to honor those we’ve lost – and to propel new scientific breakthroughs for current and future patients. Everyone has a story, and we’re grateful to all of you for sharing yours.”

For over 15 years, SU2C has leveraged its relationship with the entertainment community – which includes more than 1,100 celebrity ambassadors – to generate public donations, increase awareness and fund cutting-edge cancer research. SU2C research has contributed to the development of more than 10 scientific breakthroughs that have significantly impacted the field and provided new treatment options for breast, colorectal, lung, melanoma, pancreatic, pediatric and prostate cancers.
