GH’s Josh Swickard Stars in HBO Max Film ‘A Hollywood Christmas’

Photo: Warner Bros

Circle Thursday, December 1st! That’s when you can see General Hospital’s Josh Swickard (Chase) in yet another holiday film.  This time, Swickard stars alongside Jessika Van in A H0llywood Christmas streaming on HBO Max.

In story, A Hollywood Christmas follows Jessica, a successful Christmas movie director, who begins living her own real-life Christmas movie when a handsome television executive named Christopher (played by Swickard), shows up on the set.

Sent by the network to decide if producing Christmas movies are worth the expense, Christopher’s presence threatens to halt production on Jessica’s latest film. With Christopher looking over her shoulder on behalf of the network, Jessica now has to juggle: actors on the set falling in and out of love, an elf dog, and her own romantic feelings for the network exec!

As many are aware, Josh stars in many holiday films, so it’s a bit of send-up about a guy who is in Christmas movies starring in a movie about the making of one.

Warner Brothers posted tune-in info on their official Instagram a few days ago, sharing, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas… #AHollywoodChristmas premieres in SIX Days! Spend the #HolidaysWithHBOMax.”

You can check out the trailer below.

I don’t subscribe to HBO but must say that just seeing Josh Swickard’s face makes me happy. He seems like such a kind, cheerful soul that I wish him only continued success…on every channel.

Soaphound…I agree with you about Josh. But as Chase on GH I think he deserves a lot better than Brook Lynn. She may mean well, but will never quit causing trouble or making wrong choices because it’s all about her. :)))

Rose, why can’t such a kind, decent, drop-dead gorgeous guy like Chase find a woman who appreciates him? That idiot Willow dumps him for a self-righteous megalomaniac and now Brook Lynn seems more interested in burning Linc than stoking her boyfriend’s fires. Meanwhile, Sonny has women pining for him. Doesn’t compute. Hell, I’d marry him for his hair alone.

Soaphound and rose
So glad Chase dumped Brook Lyn, now maybe they will find a good storyline for him. He was just being stifled and going along with her shenanigans.
I bet eventually she will get her voice back .

I liked the action between Chance and Sasha doing their phony Christmas decorating. I was ready to scream by the time it was over with them handling that blue garland and never doing anything with it.Then Sam got in to it, making it worse. What is her thing lately and what is she suspecting Dante of? She should just ask him outright if she thinks he’s done something dishonest. Guess we’ll be seeing more of Rocco, he’s been mentioned few times lstely.

Violet…I also really like Chance and Sasha together. They are two nice people with the start of a little spark. And I did notice she was still fiddling around with the blue garland in her small space for such a big job as the show ended. ???

I love Chase and Brooklyn today jan 12 was so sweet w them… i hope Gh keeps him

Breaking News

Patrick Mulcahey OUT as General Hospital Co-Head Writer

After various reports surfaced, it has been confirmed that Patrick Mulcahey is out as the co-head writer of General Hospital. This is after a very short tenure of under five months.

Mulcahey was named to the position back in January of 2024 along with longtime GH writer Elizabeth Korte. They replaced the team of Chris Van Etten and Dan O’Connor, who had been the head scribes of the long-running ABC daytime drama since 2019.

A source informed Soap Opera Digest that stories created by the co-head writing team of  Mulcahey/Korte team will air through mid-summer. However they added “There will be more news to share at a later date as to the composition of the new writing team.”

In addition, eagle-eyed soap fans have seen that in recent episodes former co-head writer, Chris Van Etten has been credited, as he is reportedly a breakdown writer with the show.

Soap Opera Network is reporting that Korte has assumed the head writing duties solely on her own at the moment, while Buzz blog initially reported Mulcahey’s exit.

We will have more on the GH writing team evolution in the days ahead.
