The Bold and the Beautiful is bringing back to the CBS daytime drama series, Adain Bradley in the role of Xander Avant, starting next week with the December 28th episode.

Bradley was previously seen on B&B from 2018-2019, and then was taken off contract. He last appeared on the show in August of 2019.

The character was written out when he moved back home to his family in London after his shame and guilt over his involvement in the baby Beth switch. This, was after he was fired from Forrester along with Zoe.

So what bring him back to the canvas and why? According to Soap Opera Digest, look for Xander to share his first scenes with Finn played by Tanner Novlan.

So, intrigued to see Adain Bradley back on B&B? What do you brings Xander back to Los Angeles? Comment below.

Well, this was unexpected… considering that every other character Xander regularly interacted with is off the canvas now, and none of the Avants are involved in story, I didn’t think he’d ever return. Maybe this will be the return that brings back the rest of the Avants!

Much rather the original Zende, Nicole and Sasha. That triangle was fire. Why do we need the Thomas/ Hope/ Liam / Steffy quad incessantly when the Nicole / Zende/ Sasha one still had so much heat

What is the point of Xander coming back? Zende is JUST now getting a story. They have fired Taylor, and Bill is MIA. And Katie is in the background. I would rather them age Will and throw him into the fray with RJ and Luna.

This will just be another Bold and The Beautiful actor who Brad Bell can use for something right now, then forget to write for until he disappears again.

This makes zero sense. There are no other avant connections right now and even if there were, this actor/character was the worst. I can’t imagine the show axing Wyatt, Taylor, Bill and so on for this joker. Please make it stop.

Do not take them of.

I want them to bring Wyatt back! Especially with the divorce between hope and Liam so imminent, it would seem that Liam really needs his brother. I would love for them to bring Wyatt back but without Flo because she was one I just couldn’t take. I was glad when they started writing her off because I got tired of watching her run around in her bathing suit all the time. They need to bring back some of the really talented actors and for sure why it is one of those! I mean I know that eventually it’s going to come out that bill is baby Kelly’s father so for sure why it could be part of that storyline right? I really don’t want to see the Avant family again, The only good part about that was when Maya came out as Myron lmao

I think when Eric’s fully awake he should ask for Sheila and have memory loss what a great storyline get her back to the foresters so she can be around her kid and they would need her

That is a storyline I could get into!

I think for some spice they should really allow Sheila a chance under supervision to interact with Hayes and Kelly. Steffi get off your righteous never done anything wrong high horse ! And step back a minute. Sheila at least loves Finn and the kids. And won’t go eeny meeny many mo every 2 weeks ! Just back off Hope Brooke Ridge Thomas all o ya of Sheila & Deacon. At least it be some decent writing Brad Bell.

Ah hello, Shelia shot Stefie and Finn and left them for dead. I dont blame them I wouldn’t want Shelia around at all. It’s not like it was accidentally, it was purposely done.

The Avant family was really an interesting time and story. It needs something tired of the same stories. Liam, Steffy, Hope. Hope Liam Thomas. Liam needs someone new, let Zander bring a cousin lady when he comes back.

The pathetic story the stupid yes I said it stupid actress did her wringing her hands crying yes said a trans should now play the part ! Lordy do you people ever give us a rest??? Ever

Done with this show you have two actors that have chemistry off the charts and good old Brad destroys it . Goodbye

Great to have Adain Bradley back in the role of Xander Avant. Loved the flashbacks on the baby switch storyline including the murder of his best friend. Could Zoe be far behind to return?

American Idol

ABC Renews ‘American Idol’ for Season 8 and ‘The Bachelor’ for Season 29

While Katy Perry is exiting her gig at the judges table on American Idol at the end of this season, that will not stop the show from continuing on. The popular reality-singing competition had been renewed for its 8th season on ABC and its 23rd season overall.

American Idol started on Fox and was given new life at ABC seven years ago. The announcement of the renewal comes ahead of its Season 22 finale set to air on Sunday, May 19th.

As for Perry, she revealed back in February that she is stepping away from the show to pursue other career interests. The show is actively looking for the right chemistry and person to sit alongside judges and music superstars, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, who will be back next season, as will longtime host, Ryan Seacrest.

In other renewals, The Bachelor will be back following Joey Graziadei’s ratings winner of a season. The reality-dating competition will serve up its 29th season.

There is no premiere date set, but as has been in the past, the series usually premieres in January of the new year. While ‘Bachelor Nation’ will need to await, just who will be the next ‘Bachelor’, that person will most likely be selected from Jen Tran’s season of The Bachelorette, which is currently in production.

Jen’s journey to find love as the lead in The Bachelorette, marks that shows 19th season. It’s set to premiere this summer on July 8th and will again be hosted by Jesse Palmer.

Glad to hear “Idol” is coming back? Who should replace Katy Perry? Are you over ‘The Bachelor’ or did the last season featuring Joey as the lead, reinvigorate your interest in the show? Comment below.

GH’s Adam J. Harrington Reveals the Behind the Scenes Story of Becoming John “Jagger” Cates

When Adam J. Harrington showed up on all-new episodes of General Hospital, it shocked viewers of the long-running ABC soap opera, because he was the recast John “Jagger” Cates.

The character was previously played more than 30 years ago by Antonio Sabato Jr., and as fans of the soap have seen, Harrington’s version of Jagger and his circumstances are quite different. As it turns out, Adam was in the dark at what GH role he would be eventually cast in.

Speaking with GH co-stars, Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) on their Daily Drama podcast, Harrington shared the behind the scenes journey that led him to being the new version of John.

Photo: ABC

Adam shared, “I went into a chemistry read with Laura Wright (Carly) for a different character. I was told I wasn’t going to get the character, but hang tight, there’s something else. Then, that kind of took a couple of months and now we’re in December (2023), and then all of a sudden it was like, ‘here you go.'”

Once Adam was given a role on GH, he explained, “I still didn’t know who I was playing. I should have asked at that point. So the deal gets done, and I go, ‘By the way, who am I playing?'”

Photo: ABC

That’s the point where the GH powers-that-be let him in on just what he was about to take on. “They sent me a one sheet with John “Jagger” Kates in the description,” shared Adam. “It wasn’t until I went on YouTube and spent a good three or four days, watching all of Steve (Burton’s) storylines in the nineties (that I figured it out). By the way, they were fantastic. The production value … it was amazing the level of the acting, and the relationships you guys had. I really enjoyed it. So, that’s how I found out (about the character).”

Burton and Anderson asked Harrington about his thoughts on being a recast. “I thought it was important to go back to his circumstances and his upbringing, because that wouldn’t change no matter what he had become in the 20 or 30 or 70 years since we’ve seen him,” Adam shared. “I looked at what Antonio Sabato Jr. did and thought, ‘There was no way in hell I can even touch that or even come close, nor do I want to.’ The only thing I recognized was given his upbringing and what he’d gone through, it was a common sense of humor in there that’s either used defensively or as a way of getting through the world.”

As to how Adam should approach the part given it was a recast, he noted, “What I had been told from the brass is don’t worry about following that same emotional storyline. He’s gone away for a very, very, very long time, become successful and he’s come back. Basically, they were saying, you bring in you.”

Being part of the fabric of GH for awhile now, Harrington expressed, “I will say this about my experience so far. I am in absolute awe of the cast and the crew and watching how you do this on a train that refuses to stop. I said to a friend, ‘I’m on a train that’s going a hundred miles an hour, and they slow down to about 90 to kick you off after your scene is done.'”

So, what are your thoughts on Adam as John “Jagger” Cates after now seeing how the role has evolved and changed since its original version over 30 years ago? Comment below.
