GENERAL HOSPITAL: All Roads Collide … Will Patient Six Be Revealed? What is Up With Andre?

Courtesy/ABC

This week on General Hospital look for suspense, drama and revelations as Jason (Billy Miller), Sam (Kelly Monaco), Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) and Patient Six (Steve Burton) seem headed for a collision course, according to the latest promo for the ABC daytime drama series.

In it, Patient Six sees his old pal, Sonny, but does he? Meanwhile at the launch party for Jason and Sam’s new media company things turn deadly. And, it looks like Carly is held at gunpoint which makes Six jump into hero-mode! But is that really what is about to go down?

And in a shocking twist on Monday’s episode, viewers learned that after watching Klein and his henchmen in a steam room conversation, Klein feels that Six will resurface when someone he cares about is placed in peril.  After the others are sent away by Klein, he receives a call from none other than Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery).

The shrink warns him that someone is getting close to figuring out just what is going on! And after all, Andre is playing therapist and advising Franco (Roger Howarth), who is armed with information about twins: Drew and Jason, while trying to figure out what happened years ago during his childhood when Drew fell down the stairs!

Watch the promo after the jump. Then let us know, what do you think about the Andre/Klein connection? Do you think Patient Six will save Carly? Comment below.

I’ve had some weird vibes about Andre before, but that was a great twist that I didn’t see coming! Well done, writers.

I agree with you. I had suspicions about him months ago but I didn’t see it coming either.

I guess this was the only way for the writers to find something for Andre to do since he never carried any story in the past.

Unless he’s undercover…which is unlikely considering who’s writing
for GH these days…it would simply boot him off as a bad guy, when
his duplicity is revealed.

He could have…smart, attractive, warm, eligible. They just dropped him like Valerie. Why bring them on to dismiss them?

Who cares about Steve Burton–that evil Dr. Klein is gorgeous! Did you see that sauna scene? I nearly reached for a fan! The actor’s name is Gene Farber, check out some of his Google images. Why couldn’t they bring him on, perhaps as Nikolas Cassadine, instead of saddling us with JOSCAR, Man Landers, Jordan, Aunt Whoever, Charlotte, et al. And that Anna/Finn debacle? Don’t get me started. Regarding the Jason/Andrew story, right now it’s just endurance for me. Glad Billy M. is staying, as he’s the only thing keeping me watching. That and Laura pulling a gun on that repulsive Valentin. Now that’s classic GH!

Hi Soaphound…

I agree; Farber (Klein) is actually quite attractive and a good actor. I mentioned him in my post on this page; he reminds me (when he speaks…his facial expressions) of the diabolical Ramsay (Iwan Rheon) Game of Thrones…now in Inhumans.

But, I disagree on your other points. Well, with exception. Have no interest in Aunt Stella (ESPECIALLY at the expense…literally and figuratively…of not having Mac, Felicia, more Kevin, etc.) But I love Charlotte and I think the pairing of Anna and Finn hit gold. Love them together!

As for Steve Burton, I’m glad to have him back; I think the story’s been great so far! Just hope that one of these “twins” becomes a Q again (and acknowledges Monica, grieves AJ).

I really like Steve Burton, always have-been watching since 1984. I have liked Patient 6’s interaction with Ava and others, not looking forward to the “Carson” and “Jasam” show, however. Others have speculated (on different sites) that they thought Andre has a hidden agenda (not only in this storyline). I am not a fan of Kelly Monacco (sp) so I am not looking forward to the Jasam reunion. Also, I find Carly highly irritating, and Sonny has had the same rehashed storylines for the past decade if not longer. I think Steve Burton is doing a great job; however, as I have said in many posts, I would prefer that he return as Dr. Jason Quartermaine denouncing Carson, etc.

@dmr…Many of us voiced that same hope when word arrived that Steve Burton was returning to GH, but alas, it would seem that Sonny and “Patient Six” are indeed set to be reunited in their same old dynamic….until death do they part and with mobmoll Carly coming along for the ride!

I hope to God Andre is undercover for the WSB! I like the character, and I hope they don’t turn him evil. You could’ve knocked me over with a feather after yesterday’s show!

Me too. I saw some steam between Anna and Andre.

Well, remember, Andre first showed up on Anna’s door step to help her out with Valentin. He was a WSB on staff psychiatrist.

Hmmm, Michelle. I like that….thst’s a good twist.

i never liked andre yet the twist really surprise me too, i’m surprise this twist now got me interested in him, (bad boy syndrome), the whole show is fun to watch everyday.

Can’t stand Andre…..his only attributes are his dance moves.
Why was he introduced in the first place? I doubt very much TPTB had this stunt all planned out from the onset. Sure…no way will I believe it. I bet Andre became the villain sometime last week. LOL.

HOPE YOU ARE RIGHT…NEVER SAW THAT COMING!

That would if he is undercover for WSB!

*be great

Yeah, they just threw that in–no preparation, no foreshadowing–just slapdash.
No way to write a s/l–or develop a character.

Pretty exciting stuff coming up.
I’m not too crazy about making Andre a baddie ?? in all this.

Me either! I always thought something was shady about him, just could not put my finger on it. I hope it is a red herring, but I agree, he is just not a bad guy to me.

0ohh goodie, please kill Sam !!
And get the Pepto ready you’re gonna need it after sucking up troll bait the writers throw at fans ahaa it’s crazy stuff reading the boards everyone is bloated from being feed bait it’s a feeding frenzy bwahaa!

I’m too the point of not giving a poop because it has become an overkill of theories that are mostly ridiculous junk.
I’m just gonna watch the freaking out over it and have my laughs over stuff like, Faison wearing an Andre mask.. bwahaa!

I’m finally interested in GH once again at least for this story as long as they keep it rolling and not slow down to a stall, then I’ll become quickly bored.

There are 3 guys and 2 are twins.
And the huge overwhelming frenzy over it is, well it is ….. bwahaa GULP!

(( whew 9 months of this ))

They will never kill Sam-she would come back alive anyway…we will never be that lucky!

She will mumble back to life and I’ll need to turn on the closed captioning. Again.

1. This won’t end anytime soon.
2. Only interesting question is who does doc report to? Because that person knew about three year old Drew, fished Twelve-Time Head Trauma Jason from the water and then switched them because oh I don’t know and neither do the writers
3. Pity the actors especially nuJason, Rebecca H, Roger H -all of whom deserve pages just not these

Looking forward to how this is all about Sonny because that never grows tedious

She can’t die, Jimmy. Sam has so much to look forward to…..two husbands.
Hmmmm. Do they make extra-king-sized beds?

I am with you, su0000, all set with Monotone Sam. #BORING!

Su/dmr:
Oh, yeah, baby!!

Oh, my goodness. Has this come full circle? Here I was, months ago, thinking thst it was Andre, not Paul killing off those patients; when, indeed, it was Paul Hornsby. I was so sureit was he, I made a comment on that idea…..TPTB were going there; that is, make Andre a bad guy in order to get rid of the character. I guess they changed their minds and targeted Paul.
My point? I always saw something sinister about him. I think he was trying to get into Anna’s good graces because of her position as an agent……to be abreast of what she knew?
Who else is involved? Valentin? Dr. Bensch? Amy? LOL.

Tell me about it, CeeCeeGirl! We both had an eerie feeling about Andre being up to no good when he first appeared in Port Charles…..there was simply something “sinister” about his manner, as you say…too smooth, too clever! And yes, he was a far better candidate than Paul Hornsby for the hospital killer….I’m still miffed that the fabulous Richard Burgi was sacrificed for that storyline!. Having said that, such premonitions always had me silently screaming “No!” when it was suggested that Andre was an appropriate match for Anna…so glad they never really went there with her. Finally, I hope this development portends a return as head honcho of the GH psych ward for Kevin, especially if wedding bells ring for Laura and him given it never made any sense for this medical institution to have two shrinks roaming about when there were so few other specialists to be had, not to mention general practitioners! Au revoir, Andre!

Of course….I remember, now, Shay….We were both suspicious of him. He acted in such a vulpine manner, at times….you know? Shifty.
But, the suspicion dwindled and died when Paul was carted off to the hoosegow.
Love Kevin …love Laura….cutest couple on GH.
Mais, oui, ma chere….au revoir, Andre’.

@CeeCee…You can bet your sweet bento box that Bensch is involved in something shady…his strange vibe is simply too strong for him to just be a garden-variety creeper with an eye for comely young chickadees. Having said that, I still believe that he was attached to Victor’s Crichton-Clark Clinic.

@ Celia…CeeCee
Thank you…for writing me such a lovely & thoughtful post earlier
this month. It didn’t go unnoticed and I apologize for not responding
sooner. You R and have always been considered “ma chere ami”.

Love, love, love, that Frank finally saw the light.. and brought Steve B.
back. From the “MOMENT” SB chose to leave Y&R I knew it was only
a matter of time, money, contract…..3 years (for now, I’ll take it).
My 1 request today…is “NOT” to reunite original JASON W/ SAM keep
her w/ “DREW” boring, humdrum, uneventful pair R perfectly matched.
Billy was never Jason, could never be Jason in any way shape or form,
but enough about him…My boy is BACK‼️‼️

@ Celia…

P.S. With so many REALLLLLLLLLLLY talented actors on GH, and we
all know who they truly are….. There’s no excuse for the writing to “fudge”
them up….otherwise FRANK get a fresh team together and start anew.
As long as the numbers ($$$) remain on point ABC could care less who’s
at the typewriter. GH is picking up momentum, keep it going forward.

Hello, my lady,
You have been missed….and, I thank you for the love you send….it is reciprocated, tenfold.
I am very impressed by your Nelle theory….agree with you and Jimh, wholeheartedly.
All your suggestions should develop legs….great premises….all of it.
Most importantly, it is a pleasure knowing your ‘feelings’ for Sam, her pretend husband ( I do not recognize Billy Miller, whom I adored as Billy Abbott, any longer) her accoutrements, lifestyle and overall blah disposition, are en par with mine.
A bientot, ma chere amie. Soon…..

Somehow I, too, feel like TPTB started out to make him a baddie–but switched in midstream–now they just flipped a switch a presto!–there he is “evil.” Oh, well! What do we expect? (More that that–LOL!)

Im beginning to think it is the doctor at the hospital but i wish it was Liesel…i hear Claudette returning???

Claudette was shown to be alive via photograph on Friday’s episode. She’ll probably be back soon as Lulu needs some form of storyline.

The internet buzz is the clinic story will lead to a cult storyline. The “true believers” line with Klein and the henchman has got people talking.

As for whether Dr. Bensch is involved, note they gave him the first name David. The closest thing GH ever had to cult leader was David Gray 35 years ago. He was responsible for Laura Spencer disappearing to Cassadine Island a few months after her epic wedding to Luke. David Gray was murdered, but what does that mean on soaps? Timeline wise, Gray was in PC the same time as Susan Moore. Never shared any scenes that I recall.

…..or, Nelle….yeah, that’s it–Nelle…
Ohhhn, OHO…that girl has something naughty ( and then some) on her mind.
As long as she sticks it to Carly and Sonny, it’s ok….anything goes.

You beat me…i think Nelle is part of it and maybe its why she doesnt want Micheal to go to the party!!!

Nelle is the most puzzling, undeciphrable, and a paradox personified, if there ever was one, Jimmy.
I am always on the edge and at edge with her. She has always struck me as volatile and fickle….hot and cold.
Well, now we know why. She was a mental patient. Where? LOL… what are the chances she was in that Russian fortress? What are the chances she has a “wind-up key” somewhere on her person, a’ la Helena?

Love the fact she spent a year in “Quarantine” I mean in a mental
Institution….it explains a LOT!!! The duel personality that we’ve
seen glimpses of since day one….hasn’t been our imagination.

You may be right, Jimmy. I am still very confused….cannot get a ‘grip’ on this girl.
One thing is for sure, Nelle has Michael under her spell. She can talk him into anything and out of anything.
Fool he ( any man) who falls for a Circe/Medea type.

We already have the best crazy on daytime in PC: HEATHER WEBBER!!

Oh for her and Lindsey Rappaport (OLTL) to be released to outpatient care as roomies. (Lindsey could bring her service chicken). They could but Kelly’s, pour coffee and offer advice to the lovelorn residents of PC. Baby advice? You really, really, really want baby advice from Heather.

Oh for Franco to make her Grandma Heather..

i always thought Nelle would be Nina’s daughter…or even a Cassidine…maybe not even a bad person at all?…i no longer watch everyday so i might have missed some clues…i think she got more story to tell…

Yes, so did I, Jimmy. I also wanted Kiki and Nelle to be sisters. For a while, the story seemed to be going there….but, as it goes, in all things GH, it fizzled.
Nelle is definitely not an open book….typically, when I can’t figure out a character, her/his aura adds just enough mystery to hook me. Something was always off with her. Could never pin-point what.
Not in Nelle’s case. …never found her to be inspiring because the character was all over the place. The writers did not do her any justice….or did they purposely put her in questionable situations?
Did ‘they’ always ‘know’ Nelle was mentally unstable, or is this a last-minute scramble for a plausible answer?

Jimh…couldn’t she be Helena’s granddaughter….if we’re going to
Go the Cassadine route….Eureka!!! Helena’s daughter Alexandria
was CRAZY in LOVE w/ Luke….it only takes ONE well orchestrated
moment in time to create a “MAD, MAD, LOON” Spencer/Cassadine
offspring. Alexandria & Helena didn’t get along that’s putting it mildly considering Mother ended up shooting daughter……Helena could have discovered her daughters pregnancy, shot her, kept her alive long enough to take the baby when the time was right…This is twisted enough to work, still being able to donate a
kidney to Joss, bloodline and all..Unbeknown to Nell of course that
she was switched, at birth by her own Grandmother Helena.
I could go on…obviously this storyline can go in several different directions
so that it’s meaty.

I agree–don’t think they really knew what they were going to do with her–ultimately, so now they’re just making it up as they go along–just like with Andre, etc., etc.

@CeeCee…
Wouldn’t this be great ( writers take note) Michael being
preoccupied with his CRAZYYYYYYYY girlfriend, giving
Ned the needed time to recover his rightful place at
ELQ. Let me add I like Michael a great deal…however
he doesn’t have the “goods to back it up” as CEO of
ELQ. He still comes across as a little boy playing w/
a set of building blocks… Let me also say, I don’t want
him Slinging scones & coffee for Sonny either….. But
him being Ned’s boss irks me to no end.

yes…Micheal doesnt seem mature enough to run the company…and i like your Nelle theory…now i hope she is a Spenser/Cassidine!!!

Michael’s position at ELQ is laughable. He has the face of the everlasting pubescent adolescent, LOL.
I’d gladly welcome Ned to oust little Mikey.
Love your ‘scheme’….maybe TPTB will read this and follow your lead.

And having multi-millionaire Michael move from the Q mansion to Nelle’s cruddy little apartment?

Now, they’ll be no contract characters living in the mansion. Maybe Sam and Miller will move there after the big reveal? That’s a lot of sets for no contract actors.

Hi Fanny…

Well, in all fairness, if we look across the American boardroom there are many fresh-faced lads and lasses running corporate America (or at least in positions of high power.) Like errrrrr…Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. He founded FB when he was in his 20s I beleive. So, while I adore Ned (And I mean ADORE…am so glad he’s back and hope that he’s seen much more than he is) I don’t find it implausible that Michael’s at the helm. Although, as in real life, too…it does “irk” one when a relative kid (ooh! pun! as Michael/Ned are relatives…) is the boss of a more mature, seasoned employee. I’d love to see Ned and Michael co-CEOs…

Steve: Michael’s not moving anywhere. But yes, they do need to refill that mansion. They’re apparently trying to set up an Olivia/Monica power play for run of the mansion…in what I think will be a failed attempt at recreating Tracy and Monica who did the same. However, I resented Olivia, who’s a newcomer to the family using that “Alan gave you the house” line to Monica. She really has no right to say it. Monica is and has been a Quartermaine for years and had the love of Edward and Lila…had a biological son with Alan (AJ) and raised another Q son as her own (Jason). So, really, Olivia…love ya…but back off Monica!

I like Fanny’s theory below that Nelle is a Spenser/Cassidine…and Nelle was always a little off from the getgo…

Forgive me, I do not know the actress’s name who plays Nelle but she is truly something special. I see the big picture ahead of her if she plays her cards right.
She’s not just incredibly talented and compelling, she’s unique looking.
She has that mysterious Mona Lisa smile going on with looks which are a throw back to Veronica Lake with a little young Theresa Russell (Black Widow) thrown in.

Since they keep changing Nelle’s backstory, what is Frank Benson wasn’t her biological dad? Let’s say her mother had a fling with Steven Lars Webber. She’d be Heather’s granddaughter. Chloe Lanier and Robin Mattson would play off each other really well.

Well, Nelle’s being Heather’s grandaughter would not be a stretch of the imagination, Steve.
I saw the malevolent change in her face, as Michael broke up with her…..especially the look in her eyes….seething madness.
I thought she was going to attack him.
Mikey better watch his back…..It could be Nelle killed Zach, her ex, for breaking up with her.

I think the actress who plays Nelle looks like a young Michelle Philips…you might have to ask your gran who i am talking about???

Hey, Jimmy,
LOL. I know who Michelle Phillips is….”The Mamas And The Papas”…..Chynna Phillip’s mother….
I love that genre of music–actually all genre, except Rap, or Hip Hop, which I do not consider music.
How sharp-eyed of you!! …Chloe Lanier and Michelle do look alike.
Chloe is such an outstanding actress–I “feel” everything she projects. I am still in a wuandery about her, Jimmy. Just when I begin to think she’s one of the good ones, she pulls a fast one.

Quandary.
And, I’m with you, Jimmy…wish it were Liesl…

Well, after 2 years on the show, Andre finally seems to have a purpose. Does this mean he is some international criminal mastermind? Having been involved in treating Jake, I’m sure that’s related somehow. I just hope they don’t tie a resurrected Morgan into this umbrella story. They’ll probably bring in Valentin to the mix and will eventually have to explain his connection to Olivia Jerome.

I don’t think Morgan is going to surface just yet. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him again in 2018. February or May sweeps, more than likely.

Just as long as fucking Ava has nothing at all to do with the rescue…..

I would expect Satan to use the “F” word… 🙂

Well, now….shiver me timbers, Satan!!!!
But, you know she will….Ava is about to be canonized; awaiting her halo and wings.
She was “touched” and “anointed” by Griffin, the priest, who was divested of his sacerdotal functions, as far as when he did the deed with Claudette.
Same applies to Sonny. All it took was a conversation between the good father and the mobster in the chapel, to be elevated, spiritually. WOW!! What hallowed powers!!
Expect the redemption scenes to get even more puke-worthy.

Ha ha! James, that made me laugh.
Every time I see the name Satan I think of Dana Carvey’s Church Lady.
Who could it be now? Hmm…..Let me think.
Could it be…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….SATAN?

Originally I thought that Morgan would be the first back-from-the-dead character of the two, but my money’s now on a recast Nikolas. That would open up more story for the Spencer clan.

Perhaps Andre played a part in Helena’s mind control experiments before relocating to Port Charles? Surely, they couldn’t all be down to Faison’s expertise throughout those many years the “Ice Queen’s” been scrambling brains! Also, I echo your nyet to Morgan’s resurrection…we are due for a miraculous AJ return from the dead long before Sonny and Carly’s perpetual muck-up of a son again treads the GH canvas.

Yes, my Shay….as I keep saying, ad nauseam, Helena is the foundation of all things evil and weird.

As long as Varni and Valentini run the show, AJ is permanently dead.

Killing off Morgan doesn’t seem to have done much for the show other than to allow Sonny and Carly to anguish over “their pain” (which doesn’t seem to prevent them from killing other people’s sons, but I suppose we’ll never get any kind of mention of THAT).

i was off of watching the show at the time but how it’s referred to seems like there wasn’t a body, which means that NuMorgan can show up at any time.

I have never felt the loss of The Moron, with “The Morgan Hour” being played 5 days a week. His name is mentioned in practically every episode!

As for Andre finally having an apparent purpose? I guess good things come to those who wait, although I’ve been searching for a logical explanation for Nina’s continued presence on the GH canvas ever since Silas kicked the bucket and still, no dice!

Well, we lost Sabrina so i guess we needed another character to annoy us…

Yeah and Kiki has STILL not seen FINN and said OMG, Silas?

Or Nelle, Steve. This story has many arms and weeds……mushrooming as we speak.
Perhaps, cleaning house is in the works. What better way to get rid of characters?
I thought the same thing….Valentin may be the missing link working with Helena. Or Gerry? Sp.
As you know, I do not really have a clear understanding of all the intricacies so inherent to the Cassadines. Who has a grudge against whom…..who wants to kill whom….who masterminded this? Helena!!
All the pieces will, hopefully, fall into place. But, the story needs to make sense, after all is said and done.
I am loving it, so far….yeah!!

@Steve…I would amend that statement to “As long as Varni and Valentini run the show, AJ—at least in the form of Sean Kanan—is permanently dead.” But I don’t see why a recast would be out of the question….especially since it would technically make “St. Sonny” not his killer. (And we all know anything that makes Dimples come up smelling like a rose is generally considered fine and dandy by these showrunners.)

Normally, I’d say this a soap and anything can happen, but not when it seems like the writers ignore that AJ ever “came back to life” shortly after Steve Burton’s Jason was pushed off the pier. I guess the governor’s pardon of Sonny required everyone not to mention AJ.

Some other characters seem to be more prominent after death than while alive. Morgan, Duke and Connie still get more airtime than Lucas and Brad for example.

Sadly GH story lines drag on and when it hits the boiling point, you are left with disappointment.. What happen to the days when the show was so good you needed to watch again, instead of FF…TPTB should take a page from the British soap “Hollyoaks” if it wants to get better.

Yes, that’s the theme, Omar….all the crescendo never climaxes….falls flat. Maybe not this time?

Andre is definitely NOT the one in charge of the Russian clinic. He’s on somebody else’s payroll, and my guess would be one Cesar Faison.

Faison has ties to the old school Russian spies (called the DVX, in GH history) so he could easily be doing business in that country. He couldn’t directly work in Port Charles, as too many people there know him, so he would need a puppet in place.

Andre had WSB ties, but it wouldn’t be the first time a WSB agent played for the other side. Just ask Anna Devane or Sean Donnelly about that.

Faison is calling the shots here. Bet your soul on it!

Good call, Satan; seer of all things that lurk in the shadows. LOL.
….yes, Faison, Gerry, Helena ( I know, you said you saw her in the fiery depths), the ghost—how about all the past GH baddies?….hey, it could even be Nikolas.
I told you I am a good girl…..you will never have my soul.

If you mean Jerry Jacks, I don’t think he’s going to be around in the near future. They haven’t brought him back since his brother left town, and with Ingo working for CBS now, that’s not likely anytime soon.

Besides, Sebastian Roche has been keeping busy in primetime/cable/and most recently on Amazon Prime, where he’s done something he never managed to do on GH – he actually became the head bad guy in charge. And he had to knock off Adolf Hitler himself to do it, and that takes balls. (I’m referring to The Man In The High Castle, of course. A Most Unholy show, if you haven’t seen it)

@Steve.
Hey, Steve,
Again, thank you. What would I do without you and Shay helping me navigate through the mess that is GH? LOL.
I truly wish both Faison and Helena would make an appearance….and, of course, the indomitable Liesl.

The problem with your theory is if Faison is involved Anna should be in the story and she is not. Sonny and Jason have had very little to do with Faison through the years.

Yes, T. But, it was Faison in “Duke” mask who shot Jason1, wasn’t it?
It would make sense if it were, indeed, Faison who retrieved a supposedly drowned Jason on the other side of the ‘vortex’.
My question is, if Satan’s theory has any life, was/is Faison working alone? Again, I smell Helena.

Well Faison is the one who “killed” Jason in 2012. He’s already admitted to being the one who fished him out of the harbor, though he claimed at the time to have shipped him off to the Chricton Clark lab as a frozen popsicle (which of course has now been rewritten to be twin brother “Drew”, not to mention the whole side trip to Cassadine Island). Probably the most logical assumption now would be that Faison shipped him off to Russia immediately instead.

I agree that Anna should be involved in exposing Faison, but this will probably come later. Because she will definitely want to know why her friend, Dr. Andre Maddox, the supposed WSB agent, was involved with this mysterious Russian clinic, once the truth about Jason and where he has been becomes public knowledge. She will probably be screaming obscenities into the phone at the (unseen) Robert and/or Frisco and demanding to know how another mole invaded the WSB ranks.

Of course then she will realize that only one guy can really flip WSB agents, and he just happens to have ties to Russia…. and then she will be on the next plane to St. Petersburg, looking for Faison.

@Celia

Faison and Helena have a long history of conspiring together. This goes way back to Lucky’s presumed death in the 1999. Jonathan Jackson left the series (for the first time). To facilitate his departure, it appeared that Lucky died in a fire above a garage.

In 2001, Lucky returned to PC (then played by Jacob Young). It was revealed that Faison and Helena kidnapped Lucky to turn him against Luke. Young never clicked in the role and was replaced by Greg Vaughn.

Thank you, Satan.
By these few lines, you have regaled me with a minute glimpse into you mind……you are well-read, yes?
I am familiar with the adaptation of PK’s “The Man In The High Castle”, but, certainly, not a avid fan. My husband is….not for me. I think it caters more to a man’s mentality than that of a woman.
The format and contents ( as per the literature) go against the grain, albeit I do have an open mind. I consider the adaptation too satirical for my taste….but, you’re a guy, and as such, my husband does not see my point of view. I do not like distorted points of view when it comes to Academia.
Using satire is a great tool, when appropriate….Nazi control is not what I would consider something satirical and/or for the ages. I love humor in in all genre of writing…but, the above title/writing is too sensitive a subject.
Literature is my weakness, aside from planetary and physical sciences.
What can I say? Happy Watching? LOL.
As far as Sebastian Roche, I had never heard of him until GH. I fell for him, instantly. He captured my attention because Jerry is not the typical villain.
Sebastian is busy doing other things, but it’s possible his name may be thrown in for good measure when all this “dark” business comes to light.
The problem is, I get bored when too many individuals are involved. As I always say, “all roads lead to Rome”….in this case, Helena. Let’s hurry it along.
However, Faison sticks out like a sore thumb for me, as well. I agree with you.
Shay has a point when she suggested Jerry and Helena are co-conspirators. I am already starting to get a little antsy with the storyline…..expecially when suffering through the Incredible Foursome: Sonny, Carly, Sam and Jason2….. the lisping and stuttering, the muttering, the unintelligible one-tone whispering, the flipping of the hair and the hypocrisy are giving me a rash.
I have not seen Steve in action as Jason Morgan….thus, his story is the only light for me, right now.

**An avid fan

Well read?? Of course I am! I’m in Hell here! The good thing about being immortal is you have a lot of time to read! (Lighting’s not so good down here of course… it was more difficult before they invented those full spectrum LED lamps!)

Satan, you were always the best part of Paradise Lost. When you were absent it really dragged. All that sunshine and light… Vastly overrated.

As the Grand Inquisitor I took a different path. Potato, pahtato.

Well I just hope those bad man know what Jason is about. Now you have Jason. And drew to mess with them. And their friends and. Family your gonna get it brothers will fight you all.

GH is awesome again. I’m excited to see what each day brings. All the chat groups I check into are now buzzing with excitement on the 2. Jason storyline. Thank you writers for stepping up and making GH GREAT again!!!!!!

Andre will be unmasked asRyan Chamberlin! LOL

If Ryan Chamberlin wanted to pose as a shrink in Port Charles, he wouldn’t need a mask. He would just have to get his twin brother out of town for a while.

Ahaha!!!! That’s rich….so ‘enlightening’!! You’re not called Lucifer for nothing…..
Love the banter—yes, I do!!

He wouldn’t even need to get Kevin out of town; he’s never there. But, if the evil, diabolical twin was posing as Kevin…and Kevin was the one who died (no!!!!!) then Laura would be marrying a psycho! Wouldn’t want to lose Kevin…but it WOULD make for an interesting story. (but then somehow we’d need to bring Kevin back to life).

I think the show is so much better than it’s been in about three years. Other than trying to figure out how they’re playing Nell (are we supposed to be rooting for her or is she a bad girl? i don’t want her to be ‘bad’ because I sure don’t want Carly to be right!).

The Andre/Jason/Patient 6/Ava/Griff/Franco thing is all pretty interesting all in all … and it sounds like 6 will be revealed somewhat soonish… better than how Laura lurked around PC back in the day until she was discovered. OMG that was torture! (but the good kind of ‘soap torture’).

I’m actually loving this story! I think everyone’s bringing their A game and I would be happy if that’s the only story they told for a while. I’m really glad Steve Burton is back; I hate that he’ll be back kissing Sonny/Carly arse. I hope that people show the proper amount of surprise/shock/disbelief/happiness, etc when they realize he’s alive. All too often these shows make nothing of people coming back after presumed dead. Their departure’s are grieved endlessly but their returns are treated as if they were away on vacation.

It seems to me that the powers-that-be are getting ready to rid the show of both Nell and Andre. If they’re as bad as they are hinting they are, this is probably how their stories will wrap up. I never took to Nell so I won’t miss the character if she’s written off…I will miss Andre. I always found him grounded, pleasant, warm…a nice “psych” addition that should have had a romantic relationship. But since they’ve done nothing with him this might be his last hurrah.

Gene Farber (Dr. Klein) is a good actor. He would have made a fine addition as a new doctor on staff at GH if he wasn’t a “villain.” The actor reminds me (for any GOT viewers) of Iwan Rheon…

Hi Rebecca,
I happen to really like your (Co-CEO) collaborative partnership
scenario between Ned and Michael. Michael being young, fresh,
innovative….Ned bringing past experience and knowledge to the
table. Together respectively strong.
As for Olivia, she means well and has a kind heart…however she
did over step with Monica. Baby steps Olivia, baby steps.

Haha…thanks, Fanny. I think they’d be great as co-ceo’s but IF the writers are trying to resurrect the Qs again they may try to do so with a lot of in-house conflict to keep with the tradition.

Last we heard from Olivia she was encouraging Ned to go against Michael…although as she said she loves Michael…and then again, as I mentioned her “Tracy” role to Monica’s claim on the house. I think it worked so well between Tracy and Olivia because they were peers and sisters-in-law. They ‘grew up” together. And, Tracy was the daughter so of course there’d be resentment that the Q house went to Monica. It worked and was so fun to watch.

I love Olivia but she DEFINITELY needs those baby steps! She’s the newcomer…Ned didn’t even live in the house for years. So, for me, instead of it coming off as whimsical and fun to recreate the battle for the house, I just felt like “WHAAAAAAA???!!!!” 🙂 I’d love to see Alice back and maybe Olivia going up against her…that would be fun! (I miss Alice.) The Thanksgiving pizza is fun…but with Monica being the only “elder” left TRACY COME BACK!!! it’s still missing that Q feel…Sadly, it’s the way it goes….

I’m just wondering if they bring in a Monica peer…any of the great soap actresses like Robin Strasser, Erika Slezak, Linda Dano, Kim Zimmer…to play a long-lost Q or a sister, cousin of Monica who moves in the mansion as well…we might be able to capture some of the dynamic. (when of course AJ returns!!!! they’ve really got to right that wrong!)

Oops…I meant worked well between Monica and Tracy!

I’m sorry but this whole story just is boring as all get out. Steve Burton’s portrayal is beyond one note. It’s sleep inducing. I am so tired of seeing him fight and hold a gun and look like he’s trying to hide an erection. He mumbles when he speaks. I don’t care if he is the “real” Jason. I resent being forced down this path of storytelling because there isn’t any story. So Sonny and Carly will have their Jason again. For all those who have been complaining about the mob stories…this is just the precursor to more mob activity. Julian is coming back. Jason is coming back as Steve Burton and I just am too bored to care. It’s a waste of a great cast on rest all your eggs in one basket story. I mean think of everyone involved in one character. MIchael, Sonny, Carly, Sam, Ava, Julian, Andre, Elizabeth, Jake, Billy MIller’s Jason, Alexis, and everyone else. Tell some other stories…I just don’t see the wisdom in laying all your eggs in the Burton basket because he seriously can’t pull the weight. I make the same sounds when I am irregular…but no one gives a crap (ooh I made a funny) and quite honestly, neither do I. I love GH but right now DAYS and Y&R are killing GH with good writing, great stories and a good time watching it. Right now I have to go drink some coffee, I am watching today’s episode of GH and I’m feeling a little tired…oh wait commercial suddenly I feel wide awake…..hehehe…

You are both entertaining and funny. I do agree with you, even though I have no idea how what it’s like to hide an erection.

You are correct, it will be more of the same with Burton back. The fixed stare poses no intimidation. These new developments are too bombastic.

Well, I don’t think Burton/Jason is trying to intimidate anyone here, Francesca. What I see is determination for survival. Kill or be killed….at least, that’s my impression.
But, of course, you and other long-time watchers, know best when it comes to “Stonecold”….soooo, I will shut up now….LOL.
As Shay said….”you had to be there”. … ( paraphrasing), and I wasn’t.

Way to go, Mateo!

I bow to you sir.

Oh, and this looooong con started when Drew was three and was mysteriously spirited away and kept in some weird nether state for FOUR DECADES so that a swap could be made five years ago. Let the timeline sink in.

That’s some kind of PINKY AND THE BRAIN level conniving!

I tuned back in to GH and loving what’s going on…BRAVO…

Yes, they have turned SB’s return into a great umbrella story instead of the usual return from the dead and lurking in the shadows for a month! Of course Sonny would be the first to see him and no doubt keep it a secret from Carly, but everything else and so many characters’ involvement has made this great fun to watch. I think the overall writing has improved a lot and I am hopeful this will have some great payoffs to come. Good job GH!

This is great storytelling. Kudos to the writers and for Steve Burtons return. Eagerly awaiting each episode. This is why GH is the best. Now, all they need is to get some exotic location adventure thrown in the mix and it’ll be like old times. Steve’s return is the answer to what we need. Although I like Billy Miller, he and Sam is getting too boring. After the smoke clears, he should be inaugurated into the Quartermaine family and take over ELQ. Billy needs something good to sink his teeth in. He could be what the show is missing in Tyler Christopher’s absence.

In the preview of the Oct 26th episode, oljason clammors, “Sonny, he-he’s alive???”. Is the ‘he’ referred to baby Jake?

Unfortunately it won’t be about AJ. Imagine:
Jason: “He’s alive?”
Sonny: “No, I killed him for good. Shh, no one’s suppose lad to mention that.”

I am totally speechless. I had no idea that Andre was involved with Patient 6. I wish these so called fans would let the writers do what they do. This was a well kept secret and I also hope that Andre and Klein are both undercover for the WSB. I think Klein being in a triangle with either Nina or Laura would be very interesting. And Andre and Anna have great chemistry. They could send Ned and Olivia on an “extended” vacation, send Aunt Stella back to Balitmore and send nurse Amy to another hospital. Just my opinion.

You’re right, Ricky. It was a well-kept secret…at least on this site. The surprise element was, errrr…surprising…lol…and I was at once impressed, engaged and disappointed. I’ve always liked Andre and his level-headedness. But, they weren’t really doing anything with his character so I guess we’ll see if this is his swan song or if they evolve this into a larger role. Double agent…helping the Port Charles residents while secretly closing in on some Russian and/or Helena Cassadine plot? I hope so…

I, too, liked Anna with Andre. These two were flirting since the day he was brought on board. There was an obvious attraction but then they shifted him toward Jordan. Their dance together was fun, too. However, I am LOVING Anna with Finn! Just adore them together! Fun, flirty…both hesitant and resistant to each other and yet we can see how each is falling for the other. I hope the writers keep these two. They could become my favorite couple!

Ned and Olivia? I want MORE Ned; not less. I do agree about Aunt Stella. Totally unnecessary character. I like Amy…

Steve Burton is and always will be Jason they should have left his character alone Billy just never could capture the dead stare the killer style I told you guys long time ago Billy needs to be singing Disney tunes does not mean I do not like the actor but his heart was never in it and it showed to me.

I might addI do not think SB would come back if he was not going to be the true Jason 21 years as that character ???

I just cannot see that bubbling, giggling, chubby monkey ever being perceived as being “Stonecold.”
I think the only time I saw him lost it was when he was living with Lizzy and her boys and someone ate all his strawberry Gogurts.

Saw the scene today MB & SB have worked toge her for many years you can’t just erase that it will be fine my problem is fighting over Sam and her Demi Moore impersonation! God please help me the that!

Thru that

Do u all think Jean Passanante exiting GH and Chris Van Etten taking her place is bringing about the change on GH? The show is like a complete total.thrill ride.

Gee. …..let’s guess. Andre is head of a Russian mob, wanting to keep Jason away to eventually take control of Genoa City. He’s boring and making him an evil mob boss won’t help his boring personality. Dr. Klein is just as boring and not that attractive. So enough with the thugs, we’d rather watch the triangle that’s about to happen between can’t remember his name Jason and real Jason. And enough of Nelle and her little behind the door grins. Cheese Whiz!!

You said it all for me, elaine

We all know that Helena and Faison is behind this. And I’m sure Obrecht is in on it. (Quick note: they need to return Obrecht to her famous self. She’s pathetic now. She use to be exciting.) The why…….. I think they were originally going to use Billy’s Jason to kill off a few people and stick him in ELQ to cypher off millions of dollars and ruin PC. But how did they know about the twin????? Ms. Whack job herself- Heather Webber. Come on GH, bring back the notorious and exciting Robin Matson. We need a dose of real crazy. She should partner with Franco and give us a thrill ride. Franco needs to go and Todd should return.

All that you have said, Darnell….except for the last part about Todd. (But yes, Franco does need to go after this “Q a Deux” storyline is fleshed out….he will really have no safespace in Port Charles with two Quartermaine brothers despising him….)

Hey Darnell…

Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) seems to be on an “extended vacation” from GH. From what I read, she’s a cast member over at CW’s Arrow. Not sure if/when she’ll return.

As for Franco…I love him with Liz. He’s been nothing but great to her and her sons. And..I’m so sick of Liz abandoning her relationships. She left AJ when he was unjustly accused of Connie’s murder, she cheated on Lucky with Nicolas, she dumped Rick when he deceived her (he may have deserved it but she has done a fair share of deceving…from lying to “Jake” when she knew he was “jason” to deceiving Lucky when she was sleeping with Nic). All in all, even with all that, I love Liz but I’d like to see her stay with Franco instead of bailing again. (Although she’ll probably use the excuse that he lied to her…even though Andre encouraged him to.)

I would hope that whoever turns out to be Drew forms a friendship with Franco. It’s obvious they were very close as children and they were both victims of some scheme by Heather, Helena and who-knows-who else. But I doubt Franco pushed Drew down the stairs… All three men were manipulated at some point in their lives…

Todd was great. He, with all of OLTL, are gone. Todd without Blair, Vicky etc just wouldn’t be the same….

General Hospital

(INTERVIEW) Adam Huss Talks on His Latest GH Return, Maura West, Nicholas Chavez, and Being a Swiftie

This week, General Hospital fans were in for a surprise appearance when Adam Huss reappeared as Nikolas Cassadine while serving jail time in Pentonville. He also had a very intriguing visitor, his ex, Ava Jerome (Maura West)!

In the key scenes, Ava seemingly tells Nikolas, who can do nothing about the situation, how she is getting closer to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and within his inner-sanctum, much to Nikolas’ chagrin. For Huss, those scenes were difficult to shoot, because in real-life he has just lost his beloved grandmother, but he soldiered through and delivered an effective performance.

Adam has had quite the adventure as GH’s dark prince of the Cassadine clan. Having first subbed for former Nikolas, Marcus Coloma, a few times and over a few years time, then taking over the role and being instrumental in moving story forward, but yet not always physically on the canvas. Since taking over the role, Huss has put his own spin on Nikolas, while delivering some top-notch performances. Look no further than in scenes with the exited Nicholas Chavez (Spencer), the aforementioned West, GH icon Genie Francis (Laura), or the twins that the play Baby Ace (Joey Clay, who shares the role with twin brother Jay) to name but a few.

Michael Fairman TV chatted with Adam to get his thoughts on: Nikolas’ emotional state now, where he thinks the storyline may head in the future, his co-stars, reflecting on what the late Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas) brought to the role, and yes, some banter with us about Taylor Swift!  Check out what Adam had to say below.

Nikolas is kind of the gift that keeps on giving, as you keep popping back up on GH. Just when you think the show literally has written him off, he makes a return. Look no further than on Monday’s April 29th episode when he gets a visit from Ava while in prison.

ADAM: Listen, I’ve really fallen in love with playing the character. I’ve stated that I’m super passionate about it. I really like that the more I delve into his backstory, I learn about the layers of who he is. Watching Tyler Christopher’s (ex-Nikolas) work, because he really originated that character, I become even more enthusiastic about it. I have so much respect for this medium as it is. I’m a fan of TV and film. I am coming in to the story sometimes not knowing where Nikolas may be mentally. So, it’s been nice to be guided once you’re on set. You can’t come in with just your ideas and you have to be open to the collaboration. It’s been a challenge, but a lot of fun.

In the scenes that just aired opposite Maura West, it seemed you could tell that Nikolas still cared for Ava.

ADAM: I thought that was a happy surprise. I am so fond of Maura as a person. I could say that we’ve mutually grown closer each time I come in and play the part. I don’t think Ava knew what she was going to really get when she came to see Nikolas. When he saw her, I think he was just taken with her. It was interesting. There was one moment when she’s talking about Sonny. I felt as if Nikolas didn’t want to hear this, but I was advised by our director, Allison Reames Smith and Frank Valentini (EP, GH), “Remember, Nikolas hasn’t seen her in months and this is really exciting for him to be sitting across from her. ” So that really fed the motivation.

Nikolas gets an earful from Ava, and he is left with her secret, which is the dose of medication in Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) pills are causing him to act erratic. Ava kind of admitted to Nikolas what was going on and what she was planning.

ADAM: She did, and you’re right. I think she told him because it was safe, and in her mind he’s not going anywhere.

However, Nikolas isn’t always on the up and up, either.

ADAM:  No, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get what he wants. This is all speculation, but maybe to get her away from Sonny he uses the information she shared. I think Nikolas is thinking that he doesn’t want to see her get hurt, and, “I cannot lose another person right now. I lost my newborn son,” in that, he is not going to raise him. And even bigger, he lost his son Spencer who he believes is gone. So, imagine then losing the love of his life. Their last interactions around New Year’s Eve showed that he still had feelings for her.

So, when you first met Maura, what was your reaction to this daytime dynamo?

ADAM: From day one, she was so lovely to me. I tested with her. I got to know her in that moment. She was just so welcoming and wanted me to succeed. Then, when I did fill in for Marcus Coloma, the first time, she and Ken Shriner (Scott) were super lovely. It was like, “You’re my scene partner today. You are Nikolas today. Let’s have fun.” Each time I came in to work, I got the same thing, if not more – more trust, more openness and kindness. Then, as you’re aware, my grandma passed right before these most recent scenes. Maura was so lovely about it. We were running lines, but she just wanted to stop and talk about it for a second. I almost didn’t want to come to work. I just wanted to get home. Maura really got me focused. It was something you wanted to get off your chest with somebody. Then we filmed, and she called me after, and just made sure I was doing alright. I said to Maura, “You are a class act, you know that. Thank you so much.”  I am so glad I didn’t have to miss the funeral and I still got to film at General Hospital, which my grandma loved to watch me on.

Now. did you have any context when you started that your on-screen mother was Genie Francis (Laura)?

ADAM: I did. In the nineties, when I was on Long Island in college and working as a DJ in the summers, I just remember seeing soap opera magazine covers. I’d see that triangle between Nikolas, Lucky and Elizabeth. So, I very much knew of the world that those people were part of. I knew how big the Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura wedding was and all of that. I definitely knew the legacy I was coming into. When I read these sides for the role, I was like, “I think this is Nikolas Cassadine!” Later, when I was on the show, and doing scenes with Genie, where Laura was warning Nikolas about making up with Spencer, she said, “You’re doing wonderful work.” To hear that from her was a big sigh of relief for me. I love connecting with actors in the eyes. I know when things are cooking when you almost feel like magnets in your eyes with another actor, because you’re drawing that emotion through them. The eyes are the windows of the soul, right? I felt that with Genie, Maura and Nicholas Chavez, too. You feel that magnet pull and it’s so beautiful.

Photo: ABC

I’m going over your gut-wrenching scenes in my head. There was obviously when Spencer hands baby Ace  to Nikolas, and then the baby is so taken with you, and the scenes where Spencer tells Nikolas how much he loved him as a young boy and vice-versa.

ADAM: The three scenes you just mentioned are highlights for me in shooting the show thus far. Those moments felt so authentic to me. As soon as Spencer got Ace in my arms, I just would melt, and it made me emotional just to hold him. And then, he really took to me. His mom was like,”I think you kind of remind him of his father,” because there is a similar energy. He’s just a great little actor and a great little empath. The moment with him laying his head on my chest was so emotional. In the one scene with Nicholas Chavez, he’s supposed to not hand me Ace till the end, but as soon as we started the scene, the baby reached out to me with this smile. Nick is like, “OK, here you go.” We sort of had to improv around it a little bit, but it was amazing.

Courtesy/ABC

However, then there is the scene where Spencer cries about how Nikolas meant everything to him, too.

ADAM: I think Nikolas went to Spencer with the intention of like, “I’m taking this baby no matter what. And if I have to get through my son, I’m going, too.” There was so much power in the words that those writers chose especially when Spencer goes, “You were my whole world” as a child. Nikolas was saying how I loved him fiercely as a kid. I was watching a lot of those scenes between Nicolas Bechtel (ex-Spencer) and Tyler Christopher. That kid was such a dynamo, too, and he was so cute. Their bond stuck with me.

Courtesy/ABC

You are one busy actor. I check in on your Instagram and you are either in one town or the other shooting a horror film or other projects.

ADAM: Not just horror films, there’s a mix of Hallmark, too. I’m super excited about an indie film I did called Pieces of Lilo. It’s about an estranged father and son. In it, my father gets sick and I get stuck basically taking care of him. And then he passes and when I’m burying him, all these memories start flooding back. It’s this sort of flashback of basically trauma and how this trauma affected, my character, Jerry, in the present day. I fought for this part and I got it. We just wrapped in March. I’m excited about that. Next week, I am off to Long Island to do a rom-com called The Wedding Bell.

Don’t you also have a role in an upcoming Melrose Place-type streaming soap?

ADAM: Oh yes. I wish it was the Melrose Place reboot! I did work with Daphne Zuniga on a Lifetime movie, though. She was awesome, and we’re friends, so who knows? It’s called The BLVD and I’ve taped it already. There’s supposedly five more episodes they’re going to shoot soon. So, we finished the pilot and I play one of the one of the clients of the PR firm. It’s all about  cutthroat PR in Hollywood.

Photo: JPI

I know the fans really enjoy you in the part of Nikolas. However, the worst thing in soaps, I think, for any actor is having to replace a very well-known actor in a part; whether they’re good, bad, or indifferent. People just don’t like change. As a recast, you have to kind of go through that difficult part of waiting to be accepted by the audience. They often say how they don’t like the actor and then somewhere along the way, they are like “Oh! I love him in the part.” How has it been for you to ride that wave of, you’re not Tyler Christopher, you’re not Marcus Coloma, but now it’s you playing Nikolas?

ADAM: I get it. You want your original person to be the person, and sometimes they just can’t, and in soap operas, it’s more common. I also know it’s always polarizing. There were days in the beginning where I was like, “Oh, my God! Look at all these wonderful comments.”  Then it’s, “Oh, my God.” and as you’re scrolling, you see “I’m a hideous monster” to these people. I think you just have to have a very healthy perspective. Thankfully, I do have tools in my life to secure my foundation of who I am. And sure, on those vulnerable days or those ambiguous days where you don’t know your future at work, it could weigh on you. You could think of every, “Oh, my God! Everybody hates me.” I am so glad and grateful that people have come around. You’re not going to please everybody. It’s just the nature of what we live in now. I will say, the warm embrace and the acceptance, and people who have really come around, has moved me and then they’re feeling the same way about my performances. When I say I’m humbled by it, I’m blown away, it’s true.  I used to get annoyed at Taylor Swift when she would always say that. I’m like, “All right, honey, you’re selling millions of copies. Accept it.” But it is humbling, because you know how critical people can be, and for it to really start to change overtime, helps me every time I hear it.

Photo: DisneyPlus

Speaking of Taylor Swift, are you a Swiftie?

ADAM: I am a Swiftie, sure. I didn’t go to Taylor’s concert. I wanted to. But then, when my friend showed me The Eras Tour on Disney Plus, I was like, “That was amazing. That was like the best time.” I’d have a smile on my face for three and a half hours if I was at her concert. So, yes.

Did you listen to Taylor’s new album, Tortured Poets Department yet?

ADAM: Yes. I’ve been bouncing around in there. There are a lot of songs.

It’s a lot of songs. It took me a little bit to warm up to it. And now, just like in true Taylor Swift fashion, I’m like, “You know what? This track or that track is really good.”

ADAM: Yeah, at first they all sound the same for a minute.

So I wonder, how does Taylor Swift manage to suck us in all the time?

ADAM: I know. I think it works whenever someone’s just raw and honest. Taylor gets a lot of flak for talking about her exes and stuff in her songs, but that’s her life experience. We feel that and we resonate with that, especially younger girls, or anyone really, can relate to these like breakups and this heartache. I think that’s where she gets you.

Courtesy/ABC

Hopefully soon, it’d be nice to see Nikolas not in prison orange. So, he gets out of jail and where does he go then?

ADAM: I don’t want him on the run because that’s the whole reason he came to prison, you know, to reform himself. So, for me, that was a nice sign of like, “Hey, maybe the reformation comes and you finally get to be free.” Maybe Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) gets her law degree back and then she’ll help him get out. Wyndemere’s gone. It’s out of his hands. I think it’s a good time for him to start a different life and for us to see Nikolas in different stories. Let’s see a different person trying to put his family back together and falling in love again. If it’s Ava, wonderful, would love that. I’d love to see a really great, big epic love story like he had in the past. I try to infuse that when Nikolas is sitting across from Ava. The last thing I want to say is, I wish I was there at GH more, too. However, I really trust in the process and the writers, and the way things unfold. So, I’m hoping that it all leads to a beautiful place.

What did you think about the scenes this week on GH between Ava and Nikolas? Do you hope Adam Huss is back on-screen sooner than later? What are some of your favorite scenes with him thus far? Comment below, but ICYMI, below are the touching scenes between Spencer, Ace and Nikolas that GH fans are still buzzing about.

Nicholas Chavez Confirms Exit From General Hospital

On Friday May 3rd, it was confirmed by Nicholas Chavez that he has indeed left his role as Spencer Cassadine on General Hospital.

Taking to his account on X, Chavez shared some heartfelt goodbyes to the cast, the creatives and the fans of the ABC daytime drama series. This comes after months of speculation and reports that Chavez is not returning to his Daytime Emmy-winning role.

Chavez left the soap to go film his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix limited series, Monsters: The The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story, and in story on GH, Spencer went overboard on a boat, when he was drugged by Esme (Avery Pohl) on the Seine River in France. His body and Esme’s thus far have never been found.

Photo: ABC

In his heartfelt message on X, Nicholas expressed, “I’m so appreciative of the opportunity that GH gave me, and I wouldn’t be as busy as I am professionally if it weren’t for the talented producers, writers, directors and fellow actors. Frank Valentini is a mentor and a friend, and we’ve had some pretty extensive conversations about my future on the show.”

Photo: ABC

Sharing his thoughts on if the would ever come back to GH, Chavez added, “While there are no current plans for me to return, we are still talking very openly about future possibilities for Spencer in Port Charles.”

Finally, Nicholas shared,”Beyond the people I’ve already mentioned, I want to take some time to thank and honor the GH fan base… especially the Sprina fans… who must be THE most loyal and kind fan base in the universe of entertainment. Words fail to show the depth of my gratitude, thank you, I love you all very, very much.”

Nicholas took over the role of Spencer previously played by Nicolas Bechtel, in July of 2021, and his last episode aired on January 31st, 2024.  In April, reports surfaced that the actor was not returning to GH after all.

Richard Simmons Recalls His Time On General Hospital and Meeting Tony Geary, Genie Francis, Rick Springfield and More

Fitness Guru, Richard Simmons has been recently sharing many stories about his time in Hollywood and his career on his X account as he reflects on his life and prepares his biopic.

In a string of posts, containing moments from his time on General Hospital, and meeting many of who would be his co-stars in Port Charles, Simmons opened up about how he landed on the soap in its hey day.

Simmons began by explaining that after an appearing on an ABC local morning show with Regis Philbin, he got a call two days later about GH, and things took off from there.

Photo: JPI

Richard expressed, “I met with the most powerful woman in daytime television. Gloria Monty. I also met with the head writer Pat Falken Smith. These ladies were very smart. They told me their idea. I would teach exercise classes in a disco for all the ladies on the show.” He added, “A week before taping the show the studio asked me if I could drive over and do some promotional photos. In my car I brought with me six jogging suits….My make up…some towels and five pound weights. I still could not believe I was going to be on a soap. lol.”

When he got to GH’s studio, Simmons shared, “The first person that I met was Genie Francis (Laura). Her father was Ivor Francis an actor who had been on Broadway and many TV shows. Genie was so young and innocent looking. I clicked immediately with her.

Photo: ABC

“The second person I was introduced to was Anthony Geary (Luke),” recalled Richard. “Some people called him Tony. ..but I did not. He was an actor’s actor. Mr G had curly hair like me. When he was not acting he was sitting in his dressing room learning all of his lines.  His door was always closed. One day when it was open. I asked if I could come in and sit and talk. This man won 8 daytime Emmys for playing Luke.”

“Now what can I say about Jane Elliot (Tracy)? She had an aristocratic face,” says Simmons. “One moment her character was very nice then she was the queen of mean. She allowed me to come into her room and chat while she was putting on makeup.”

Photo: JPI

Then, Richard recalled the late, great Stuart Damon (ex-Alan) and Jackie Zeman (ex-Bobbie). “I then met Prince Charming. Stuart Damon. He had been in a lot of TV shows and played Prince Charming on a special about Cinderella. Jackie Zeman was so cute. She had a pixie face.”

Simmons recalled when Rick Springfield joined the cast as Noah Drake, sharing, “While he was on the show his father passed away in Australia. I went to the news stand and bought him a bunch of magazines to read on the plane. How many times have you sung Jessie’s Girl and Don’t Talk to Strangers? When he came back from Australia he resumed his role.”

Noting his humble beginnings on GH running the aerobic classes at the Campus Disco, Richard recalled, “My first scene was in Luke’s Disco. All the nurses and other actresses were there dancing with me. I had never memorized lines before. So much was going on in my head.
