Another World and Law & Order Actress Michelle Hurd Comes Forward With Allegations Against Bill Cosby!

The count has been rising every day as women have come forward with allegations of sexual abuse  and misconduct at the hands of television and comic icon, Bill Cosby.

Over the weekend, fa ormer Another World actress, Michelle Hurd, who has also has had major roles on primetime’s Law & Order: SVU, Gossip Girl, and 90210 among others, was the next to speak out via her facebook page of inappropriate behavior she says she encountered years ago via Cosby.

The posting has now been an item throughout mainstream media    From Yahoo, The Wrap, to Perez Hilton and more, many have ran the item.  Hurd had played the role of Assistant D.A. Dana Cramer on the NBC soap opera on and off again between 1991 and 1997.

In her post Hurd related the following: “LOOK, I wasn’t going to say anything, but I can’t believe some of the things I’ve been reading, SO here is MY personal experience:  I did stand-in work on The Cosby show back in the day and YES, Bill Cosby was VERY inappropriate with me. It started innocently, lunch in his dressing room, daily, then onto weird acting exercises were he would move his hands up and down my body, (can’t believe I fell for that) I was instructed to NEVER tell anyone what we did together, (he said other actors would become jealous) and then fortunately, I dodged the ultimate bullet with him when he asked me to come to his house, take a shower so we could blow dry my hair and see what it looked like straightened. At that point my own red flags went off and I told him, “No, I’ll just come to work tomorrow with my hair straightened”.  I then started to take notice and found another actress, a stand-in as well, and we started talking….. A LOT …. turns out he was doing the same thing to her, almost by the numbers, BUT, she did go to his house and because I will not name her, and it is her story to tell, all I’ll say is she awoke, after being drugged, vomited, and then Cosby told her there’s a cab waiting for you outside.  I have ABSOLUTELY no reason to lie or make up this up!  Anyone that knows me, knows that! Now you have a first hand account of my experience with Mr. Cosby.”

So many women are coming forward with allegations against Cosby.  What do you think of this hot button situation?  Comment below! And as for Hurd, here is a clip from her time on Another World!

They keep throwing this crap against the wall, but it is not sticking! What do these women hope to gain by all of these allegations? I am VERY tired of hearing about this. This is more ridiculous than what is on soap operas! I get enough drama by watching my favorite soap.

The next thing is after seeing pictures of some of the women accusers, why would Cosby go after them? His wife Camille is FAR better looking than the women I have seen!

Regardless, I still love and respect Dr. Bill Cosby. There is nothing any of these women (or any one else) can do to change my opinion of him. So if that is what they are after, they failed big time.

I am already boycotting one of TV Land’s advertisers because they took The Cosby Show off their network. TV Land is free to air what they want on their network and I am free to withhold my consumer dollars from any advertiser I choose to boycott.

This “scandal” (I prefer scam) may not go away any time soon. However it is DEFINITELY having a STRONG affect on where and with whom I am willing to spend my consumer dollars. And believe me when I tell you my spending will favor leaving Bill Cosby alone!

I am also wondering whether or not attention to the Bill Cosby scam is an effort to detract attention away from the fact that innocent black youth are being murdered by white men, such as the case in Ferguson.

Sorry Gmbenet. The case in Ferguson might result in the police officer being proven innocent. And…the fact that he was acting in self defense might also be proven. And, the youth killed had just robbed a store…

And…OJ was guilty. And he was set free.

Cosby? Guitly as charged…by many, many people who are finally having their day. I hope they succeed in getting the truth out. Believing an actor you like…because you like his work….or because of his race/religion, whatever…is just about insecurity and a defense mechanism. Look at the facts, instead of the race. If he were a white actor being accused by the same women would you think they were telling the truth? What if all the victims were black. Would you believe the women then?

As for who’s murdering whom…check the crime statistics and see what the numbers are.

GOOD GOD !!! What are you talking about, Gmbenet? That is the most illogical statement ever written. Some may turn the tables and say that innocent white youth is being murdered my black men. What a bunch of crappola….such generalization.
Pigs come in many colors; black, white, pink etc. One thing has nothing to do with the other.
I truly am shocked…I always liked Bill C., but if he did do this, he plucked young, innocent girls who were probably star-struck. He had the world at his feet, and I’m sure many steadfastly support him…that’s fine, but do not bring race into it, plaeeeeze!!!!
You are wearing blinders and your thinking is archaic…

This actress has NOTHING to gain and everything to lose by coming out with what happened to her. Stop floating down the river of denial. There are up to twenty accounts of allegations of rape now with all of them bearing similarity to the other. Moreover, a NBC “fixer” has come out to say he paid off women to remain silent about Cosby’s sexual abuse. He substantiates these women’s claims.
And if you know anything about Bill Cosby, you will know he abhorred using the race card. In fact, he has told African American men to stop using the race card, to man up, and to “pull your pants up.” So he cannot play that card as he forfeited it. That means you cannot play it either. This is not some conspiracy, however, there was a conspiracy of silence being employed for the last thirty to forty years. For you to bring up the Ferguson case as means to defend and explain the Cosby allegations is an insult to real cases of discrimination and racial profiling. I also find your dismissal of rape victims’ feelings to be appalling and callous.
And finally, to insult the alleged victims’ looks is just ridiculous and ignorant. One, it is not true. Some of the alleged victims have aged quite a bit since the alleged assaults occurred (Michelle Hurd was, and still is, a beautiful woman). Two, rape is about power, about control–it’s not about sex. I wish you’d educate yourself on the man, on the allegations, and mostly, about the psychological dynamics involved with rape victims and rapists before you spout off your ignorance.

None of us really knows the truth, Gmbenet, albeit it seems strange that all these women are coming forth. Then again, perhaps not so strange at all. It takes one to have the courage to speak up and others will follow….there is strength in numbers, as it is said.
Also, I’d like to point out that looks have nothing to do with this. It is about power and control…..which only says one thing to me ; any man whose behavior is so despicable is a predator, preying on women. He lacks something within himself. A real man, a man who knows who he is and confident in his own skin does not need to prove his prowess and dominance on ingenues.
I do not want to pass judgment, but, c’mon. The proof is in the pudding.

rebecca1..
The boy that was killed in ferguson, did not ”rob” a store” ..
He shopped lifted a pack of cigarillos (small cigars) cash worth about $4.00..

As for Bill .. the man always gave the creeps/whatever, really he did..
I think he has sexual desires for young pretty women.. (the creep..

su0000…the police labeled it a robbery. one can label it shoplifting. Whatever the label, the kid was not a law-abiding citizen…and if the story is true he attacked the police officer. With that said…it’s a heated/controversial issue. Best to leave it alone on this post…

An allegation of rape does not make it true. Nineteen allegations don’t either. That makes it seem even more ridiculous!

This website was set up for news and info about an industry where ridiculous fabrication is the norm — soap operas. These allegations sound like a poorly written soap opera. Also the entertainment industry is known for persons who will do anything for publicity. Finally I have watched enough so called journalistic reporting to know what is often reported bears no resemblance to the truth. I even have personal knowledge of a particular case (nothing to do with this case) where what was reported was far from what actually happened. The reporters didn’t bother to get the facts straight.

Speaking of power, if rape is about power then the public is often “raped” by what is reported in the news. Information is forced on the public the same way a rapist forces his… You get the point.

If all of these allegations against Cosby are true, why were they not reported to the police at the time they were allegedly committed? Surely of these nineteen instances there was one woman who would have gone to the authorities! If not, why not? Hollywood as a community is not that large. At the very least there should have been enough rumors floating around to give at least one woman enough courage to come forward during a time when something could’ve been done about it. But that did not happen!

As for “playing the race card”, I am not. I am playing the ” media card”. Have you ever paid close attention to political campaigns and how they use the media and propaganda in political ads to manipulate voters? There are people who are paid to come up with the “stuff” that is forced on the general public during campaign season. Those people still need work after elections. You mean they are not hired to “manipulate” discussions among the general public? What world are you living in?

I do not support the violence and destruction that occurred in Ferguson after the decision of Grand Jury was announced. My heart goes out to the Brown family and the entire Ferguson community including the business owners whose property was destroyed. (My original comments were made before the Grand Jury’s decision was made known to the public.) However you cannot tell me that somewhere during the past few months there have not been discussions somewhere about how to divert attention away from the trouble going on in Ferguson.

During the Ray Rice domestic violence fiasco, I watched certain members of the news media operate with little to no regard for the feelings and/or well being of Ray Rice’s wife Janay or her family. Their only concern was their own selfish agenda.

So am I skeptical of the news media? By now you know the answer to that question.

We are talking about the 60’s. Rapes were not freely reported in that era. Why? Because with rape comes shame, blame and guilt. I really think, as I stated earlier, there is strength in numbers. It took one woman to come forward…the rest took courage and followed suit.
Even if one girl went to the police, would she have been believed? Against Bill Cosby? Really? The mentality then was also different….a woman’s word did not carry much weight, did it? Perhaps you should touch on this very subject with a woman from that era. I have !!! My grandmothers are a font of information….and they were smack in the middle of the 60’s and the lack of rights women had. Remember, no one could touch the “I Spy” guy. Who can touch the stars?

So ALL nineteen instances occurred in the 1960s? Give me a break! Even if one instance occurred in the 1960s it would have at least created rumors. Plus the 1960s was the time of the Civil Rights Movement. It would have been more dangerous for Bill Cosby! I was alive and well during the 1960s. I don’t need a lesson on it. I lived through it.

That notion about the 1960s is ridiculous for a lot of reasons. But right now I am too tired to explain why! So I will let it go. But if repeated your argument about the 1960s to several of my peers, they would fall out laughing! You had to be there — in the 1960s!

Gmbenet; ” Methinks thou dost protest too much “. Happy Thanksgiving!

I only “protested” one time. The others were replies to persons who commented on what I wrote. That included your THREE replies. If I wanted to “protest” further, I would have given a full response to your argument about the 1960s. But I didn’t, did I? And I still won’t.

Happy Thanksgiving to you…and your grandmothers too!

With this much smoke, there IS a fire!
Face it, Mr. Cosby ain’t the nice guy we thought he was! I didn’t want to believe it at first, but after this many allegations, there has to be some truth there. All these women are risking THEIR reputations by coming forward.

You are FREE to believe whatever you want to believe about this matter. I am also FREE to believe what I believe.

I reserve the right to hold in high esteem anyone that I choose to and there is nothing that you or anyone else can do about it.

I think that is the point of all of this slander…to get persons to change how they regard Bill Cosby. Relative to me, they need to peddle that fertilizer somewhere else!

What do Camille Cosby’s looks have to do with Bill Cosby’s alleged rapes of multiple woman? Rape is about power, not about sex.

Thank you, Kevin. Exactly.

Michelle Hurd is a respected actress, I do not see what she can possibly gain for coming forward, I can see an unfortunate backlash for her from certain people in the industry who may be afraid to hire because they feel she should have kept quiet or that she is a gifted liar and can cause trouble for them. I admired Bill Cosby for a long time but unless they is some kind of puppet master behind the scenes ,hiring all these women to lie, then this is way to many women coming forward and sadly many of us heard the old saying where there is smoke there is fire. I want to believe he is innocent but that would mean these women are being cruel and evill and if they are found to be lying, even if a couple of them are caught lying, then they have set back women’s confidence to come forward when they have truly been sexually assaulted.

Please – how is this related to Ferguson? And, frankly – how is Ferguson related to anything more broadly either? It’s almost 2015; stop using race to excuse bad behavior. White men are NOT killing black youth, innocent or not. (Black kids are about as likely to be killed by white men these days as bitten by sharks or struck by lightning. Try to look up some of the actual stats/#s sometime.) Black youth ARE killing other black youth; however. And, Cosby’s case is not about race any more than any of the other powerful white men who’ve been brought down by sexual misdeeds like Elliot Spitzer or McGreevy or Bill Clinton or Roman Polanski was about their race. Black people are NEVER going to rise up socially or economically as a community (as opposed to individuals) until they give up the racial excuse-making. And, yes. I’m black.

THANK YOU!

Agree as for Roman Polanski doesn’t seem to have any problems still winning oscars and getting standing ovations Clinton is still the left,’s darling. I think if Hollywood turns on Cosby it wIll be because he dared to say black youths need to pull up their pants be responsible etc they don’t like hearing that they like playing the victim.

I honestly feel that if Hollywood finally listens to these women it is because they feel he is guilty.
I don’t feel the comparison some are making to Polanski and other men are quite fair.
Polanski was found guilty of statutory rape but he fled the country before he could serve his sentence. His victim has come forward and said she forgives him. Bill Clinton? How did he get in here? An extra marital affair with a consensual partner may not be morally right, but it’s not a crime and a far cry from rape. The startling fact is the collective voices of Cosby’s alleged victims is producing a roar–one which cannot be ignored anymore. The reason why these collective voices are coming out now is because a comic (who happens to be African American) referenced Bill Cosby’s alleged rapes in his stand up. This empowered many alleged victims to speak out with each voice emboldening the other. It’s also important to note that one case was settled out of court with other women’s accounts being silenced by Cosby’s “fixers.”

What bothers me about this is how many years later we are all crawling out of the wood work.

Really k/kay? What should bother you is that Cosby is a molestor…a rapist…and has skated through his career hiding his dirty little secrets. I sincerely doubt all these women…who don’t even know each other and have absolutely nothing to gain other than being dragged through the mud by people who will defend Cosby to the end…are lying.

Before you thrown the innoent until proven guilty yeah; that’s the law. And guilty people sometimes go free…still doesn’t make them innocent. So my opinion is he is guilty…I believe those women…and I hope somehow, some way they’re able to prove it.

It’s true–one of the woman is now a seventy-one year old grandmother who does not need money and who has nothing to gain from telling others about her horrible experience with Cosby. She says she doesn’t see it as a gaining fifteen minutes of fame, but rather, fifteen minutes of shame.
That is rather sad. I do take umbrage with all the commentators who are calling these women every name in the book. This is exactly why rape victims are afraid to step forward. And really, who wants to be the one who accuses America’s favorite dad of this horrible crime? He is (or was) one of the most beloved celebrities of our time.

I think you might have misunderstood my comment it bothers me that they all felt they could not come forward wIth allegations when it happened it might have saved a lot of hurt for others. I have no idea if it is true or not a lot of women makes me think it probably is true.

It is shame that they had to wait all this time to come forward, but the truth is back then and even now, it seems easier for some people to believe 20 or more women are lying than believe one man is. Hopefully the sheer number backing up each stories will finally give these victims the voice they never could when it was he said, she said.

This is the most believable story yet (and I believe them all). Why? Because it shows how predators groom you – going a little farther and a little farther until you go to their house and you get raped. I’d like to see newscasts talk to various psychiatrists about why women do what they do; the effect it has on your psyche, etc. I’d also like to hear why they took pills he handed them. There must be more to the story. Did they have a headache and thought it was a pain killer? Were they taking recreational drugs and willingly tried something new?

And while I’m at it: Anyone who blames a woman for what happened to her is perpetuating the reason that women don’t come forward. That’s why it’s taken so long for this to all come out. Please don’t ever blame the victim. Yes there have been people who were falsely accused. I highly doubt that this many women are coming forward without a leg to stand on.

And Gmbenet – what could a comedian’s routine from over a month ago (that’s how all this got started) have to do with Ferguson? Good grief; I think you need to be better informed.

Young women who told they were raped by a huge star, back in those days/era..
would be crucified and they would be ruined by the scandal, career in the garbage..
.. the police thought differently back in that era about rape and the allegations of rape.. victims of rape back then were treated horribly and were always the guilty ones for whatever reasons- they asked for it, back then was the way it was ..

Yes su0000, Mr. Crosby grew up back in the “good-old boy” days, where men were kings & women need to keep their mouths shut & serve their needs. Throw in fame & $ & you just have a bigger circle of folks that rally around & hide one’s sick behaviors.

While it is awful what these women experienced (I’ve had a few encounters w/these type men myself), I’m not gonna lie-the fact that Mr. Cosby never banked on the electronic age of today & social media kind of amuses me. I can literally see the smirk being knocked off him & his old-school lawyers faces. His lawyer’s self-righteous indignation is appalling. Can you imagine how his “team” is squirming trying to figure out how to squash this unstoppable train? I believe some of the women have settled out of court-the old pay them off to shut them up & go on with your day technique. Also, his lawyers have threatened some of these women into keeping quiet. That doesn’t bode well for Mr. Cosby.

It’s a different time now, but Mr. Cosby is still trying to use the same archaic “I’m not going to dignify these accusations with an answer” techniques.

The only thing that connects this story to Ferguson is that Cosby’s lawyers are probably hoping this Grand Jury indictment decision is the huge news story that has come along to distract the media & public away from him.

On a ridiculous note, I’ll never be able to look at GH’s Faison the same ever again after I saw him sticking his tongue hanging out as lit that cigar today. He reminded me of pervy Billy Cosby w/his tongue sticking out on those kids in those Jello Pudding commercials.

Su00, it’s nice to know that while we disagree about soap stories and characters, we seem to agree on important matters of the day.
Now, on a related note, I am privy to a huge spoilers as to the true identity of Fluke? Drum roll please…………………………………………………..
Fluke is Bill Cosby!

Exchanging with you Harry, is always a pleasure and not dull 🙂

From what I know of that era..
there were no woman policemen.. woman had not yet arrived with power in the work force..if one was raped it was male’s you dealt with..
There were no rape counselors or rape kits, and rape was handled awfully..
I can see how a woman back then would silently bare what they wrongly felt to be shame.. they had no one to turn to, no female presence, as today..
stuff like that was all messed up.. it was still a mans world back then..

I believe her, like I believe the others.

I absolutely believe Ms. Hurd, and applaud her courage in speaking up. I also want to thank Harry for his intelligent, sensitive, perceptive rejoinders to insensitive and/or uninformed posters on this site.

Mr. Cosby’s reported “curry ritual” with female talk show staffers, which could not have been a secret to those who hired him for guest appearances and met the condition, adds to a portrait of a man with unbounded, grotesque “appetites” who terrorized women for years.

The New York Times today has a blistering and sobering article addressed to Bill Cosby’s media enablers, who covered for him for years. The author has the courage to condemn himself as one of those media enablers; a group who refused to publicly pursue or disclose what they all seem to have known to be the truth about this man and his decades-long manipulation and abuse of women. Another victim is probably Mr. Cosby’s wife Camille, who has had to bear the burden of being Mrs. Bill Cosby. At what cost?

If I were Queen of the USA.. (I’d need be a Queen to have dictatorship lol)
I would make law;
All child molester’s, and rappers would get their dicks chopped off ..

That is about the only thing that might stop molesters and rapers..

Su, shoplifting is the same as robbing; the same as stealing; the same as thieving…..it is still theft no matter the amount. Sadly, this poor kid lost his life over nothing. We were not there…we do not know exactly what went down.
Back to Cosby….the more I think about it, the more I believe he did it….he preyed on these girls and he used his celebrity status to seduce them…now he needs to face the music, or is it too late? Is there a statute of limitations on rape? I suppose it does depend on each state?

Yep, castration would work for me…you go girl !!!

OMG….CEECEE!!!! That ranks as the laugh of the day! (Works for me, too, by the way……)

Su000, I understand that you don’t like rap music, but do you really feel that rappers need to be castrated? They will still rap–rapping is not about sex!

Thank you, Tristan.

I’ve always believed the allegations against him…even when they were just occasional whispers in the past. Possibly due to the fact that many years ago a local (white) woman of respectable standing told those in my parents’ social circle how during a vacation to Vegas WITH her husband, she was aggressively hit upon by this man….naturally she was absolutely appalled, as this was, I believe, during the 1960’s (or maybe the early’70’s?) when that sort of thing was frowned upon by polite society.

To Harry above. I did not say that Bill Clinton’s misdeed was rape – although he actually was accused of rape by Juanita Broderick and the reason he ended up getting found out by Ken Starr with respect to Monica Lewinsky was because of a sexual harassment case against him – so closer to Cosby than you seem to be remembering. I did say that sexual MISDEEDS have caused many powerful white men’s downfall – and the affair with Lewinsky and then Clinton lying about it did get him impeached, which is a pretty darn significant historical censure. I could have gone on to list other white men – like Newt Gingrich and Henry Hyde – white republicans who had to resign because of affairs (not illegal) that showed them to be hypocrites. My main point is that men being felled by sexual peccadillos knows no race. The accusations against Cosby are so much worse than those against the other men I’ve mentioned actually show that people are more worried about bringing down black men these days than they are white men. A white male actor in this position likely would already be looking for work at McDonald’s ’cause he’d be OVER.

Oh, I understand DMC. Thank you for your explanation–I really appreciated your well written post.

Actually run_dmc (and Harry….) In addition to JB, there were numerous reports of alleged assaults to Starr….one occurred very recent to the time of his investigation and purportedly was perpetrated in the White House upon a volunteer who had been a prominent fundraiser/campaign supporter…the woman still speaks of this incident today. Another was a more distant episode where the supposed victim was a former Miss Arkansas who became Miss America in the 1980’s….she was scared into silence, but others who knew her well confirmed the story. Apparently, there are numerous other similar allegations, too. Some of the more salacious ones were only made privy to Congress, then sealed for a certain period of time, but there are others still publicly circulating. I remember much of this from a political science class….I’ve never searched for the info online, but it should be available somewhere …..

Where there’s smoke there’s fire.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.

No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.

Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?

Photo: Fox

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”

Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

Photo: Fox

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.

As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

So, would you like to see Jack Wagner return as Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place, or Frisco Jones on GH, or both? Comment below.
