Ashley Jones (Parker) confirmed via her Twitter account that she is back on set at General Hospital, filming new episodes of the ABC daytime drama series.
The official GH Twitter account first posted a photo of her and her co-star Daytime Emmy winner, Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina).
GH related: “Oh hey, Ashley Jones, Funny seeing you here. #ParkersBack”
Ashley then added in her own tweet: ” Good to be back in Port Charles.”

Personally, would rather see Aaron back in the mix, but if it gets me some Lexi scenes, I’m happy.

I also liked Aaron. However, as someone who works in higher education, I can’t tell you how distasteful it is to see a storyline where a professor sleeping with a student is treated like a grand romance. In the real world, this is called sexual harassment, and university employees (especially instructors at ALL levels – even grad students) have to go thru seminars before stepping foot in the classroom that will outline the HUGE conflicts of interest that even the *suggestion* of a relationship could cause.
I think it’s an interesting storyline line for Kristina & Parker let it ride…
I really don’t want to see a connection as I don’t see any chemistry berween them. She is too old for her and not a great actress. I would rather not see her back as too many actors come and go just for a limited number of episodes. Slow down the returns and give the seasoned actors the best storyline. This is what keeps viewers watching for years.
Yes, Parker and Kristina look like they could be mother and daughter. I was happy when this story dropped away.
Perhaps that’s the point, Carrie…Krissie’s sudden crush on Parker after having been involved with and even previously married to only males always screamed “Mommy issues” to me. We never saw any indication prior to this storyline that the character had any attraction whatsoever to females when she was mixing within her own peer group as a teenager….this sudden switch came out of nowhere in the form of a sensational storyline centered around Professor Parker and why this angle was never explored is beyond me. If Krissie had been doing the dirty with an older male college instructor, you can bet your sweet tea that it would have been termed an indicator of a “Daddy Issue,” and the ever-hypocritical Alexis would probably have been the first to throw shade at Sonny over it.
The older woman thing was a boring and somewhat ridiculous storyline. I thought the young guy Aaron seemed to portray a character that would be kept around. No need to put Ashley on the GH payroll, at least from this viewer’s perspective…
Carrie…EXACTLY!!!!! A-n-d…this time, the story needs to DROP AWAY…FOREVER!!!!!

I cannot help but feel that Kristina is trying on lesbianism as one would try on a new Hermes scarf. This storyline certainly doesn’t resonate with reality the way Bianca Kane’s did on All My Children.
Also, if Parker were a man they’d be calling him a sexual predator. Anytime a professor makes a move on a student, it’s pushing the boundaries because the professor is in a position of authority. It’s clear Kristina is troubled and that she has issues as she always seems to be in a state of petulant histrionics. For Parker to put the moves on this troubled young student of hers is all kinds of wrong.
Here’s a story which thinks it’s being politically correct but which is actually the anti thesis to being politically correct.

I’m with you on this one, Sandy…The current Kristina with anyone is not my cup of tea, but the age difference between these two characters is far too great and really does not make for a very inspiring coupling by any stretch of the imagination. Why this storyline is even back as a retread is really mystifying when the Aaron aspect to Krissie’s relationship roulette was never played out to a logical conclusion. Moreover, I’m still not accepting this particular actress in the role of Sonny’s daughter…I would like to see the former one back in the role…she was much more appealing in personality and totally sizzled with her co-stars, albeit they were all males back then….LOL. For that reason alone, it would be most interesting to see how she would portray this character now…..
Lexi Ainsworth assumed the role of Kristina after the character was SORASed in 2009. She played her until her contract was not renewed (under JFP/Wolf). Her youthful appearance may have made it hard to put her in romantic situations (such as her flirtation with Ethan).
FV cast Lindsey Morgan as Kristina in 2012. Many viewers made note of the strange chemistry between her and MB, She might have got a bum deal with Carlivati’s “Mob Princess” reality show storyline followed by the Connie/Trey (mother/son) relevation. Shortly after Trey’s death, Kristina unceremoniously slithered off to college.
Ainsworth resumed the role in 2015 and won an Emmy this year.
@Steve….For me, it’s never been the “youthful appearance” that doesn’t work…it’s the attitude, the personality…I just cannot get over the obstinate, wicked child vibe that the current actress brings to the role….I felt the same way the first time around with her and the ensuing years did not make a whit of difference in how I perceive her as this character, regardless of storylines, Emmy, whatever…With Lindsey Morgan, the rebellious nature was still there, but it was sexier and more mature in keeping with the supposed age of the character. Although I never paid that much attention to MB, the “strange chemistry” probably was there as you state because, after all, Sonny is Sonny, but I do know that much like Kelly Monaco, you could see how all the other males appreciated playing off that particular actress. She was the perfect “Mob Princess!”
Shay, I couldn’t agree more. I know there are many Lexifans out there, and I’ll concede she is a decent actress. But that snarky, spoiled brat vibe of hers gets old very quickly and I don’t have the patience for it. And, frankly, Ashley Jones deserves better than a May-December non-romance with this whiner.
Seems like Frank has coffee with any actor, the actor picks up the tab, Frank says, “What are you doing next Thursday?” AND the actor is booked for a DAY!

But, there’s always a ‘but’, LOL. I thoroughly enjoyed the pent-up anger she regurgitated upon her mother’s deaf ears, and senseless puppy love.
Alexis should have known Julian’s presence would agitate everyone in question, regardless of the fact he is Sam’s father. Actually, coma or not, she could care less.
I agree with you and Soaphound, yes….but, we needed this scene….and, Kristina’s petulance and angst was soooo germane here.
I am so excited, you cannot even imagine! I love so much these two ladies, their chemistry and the story line. I hope Parker stays around, much more than the last time. There is so much potential!! This love story needs to be told, with its ups and downs, like any other.

Anyway, I would have rather seen this story develop with someone more in line with Kristina’s age….if the story needed to be told, at all.
It’s time for Alexis to find solace in Parker’s arms and take her on a wild lesbian ride, GH’s first all girl-mother-daughter triangle. Or maybe she is married to olJason?
I like the actress, however, I am not looking forward to the “Parker” story line again. I don’t think she’s the right girl for Kristina at all.
I think Parker is definitely right for Kristina. They were amazing together.. The chemistry is undeniable. This happens in every day life. Looking forward to the continuation of these 2 brilliant actresses.

Fans have waited a whole year for Parker to make her return. So happy Pristina will be back! I love their relationship because it is so complicated. The best ones always are. Clearly, Kristina has feelings for Parker which are still unresolved. I hope GH gives them the air time they so deserve. Both Ashley and Lexi are phenomenally talented and have amazing chemistry together. Hoping Parker is back for good and not just swinging by again.
I agree with you. They have fantastic chemistry and bringing more awareness in every day issues that people desk with. They both did an outstanding job portraying their characters. Definitrky waited far too long for GH to wake up and bring this SL upfront and center. Too many unanswered questions and it’s time to resume their attraction & journey together.

I was at Pier One Imports and could have sworn I saw him shoplifting. I thought about following, but they were having a great sale. Is there any chance you are miffed that Alexis is somehow living the life you so fervently are desirous of? Teensie-weensie? I tire of Sonny, but suppose I would let him in to use the phone if his car broke down and he didn’t shoot me. Even slip into Alexis’ shoes. If they weren’t ten sizes too small. But I asked you. She was Kristina’s teacher Married, old. Repeately has affairs with her students. Why would they think anyone would want to see this again? Are they trying to get gh cancelled?
I was never too invested in Parker as a character and her relationship with Kristina was undeveloped, so I’m not too thrilled to see her back. I would much rather Ashley Jones return to B&B as Bridget because I’ve missed her (and the whole Jackie M crew for that matter) since their exits. The upside is that Lexi Ainsworth will hopefully be utilized more because she has been back-burned for far too long.
As for GH, it would have been nice to keep Serena Baldwin in town permanently and have her turn out to be lesbian or bi-sexual, and develop a relationship with Kristina. The story would be much more impactful if it was between two of the show’s legacy characters (like Will and Sonny on DAYS) and it would keep Serena in town longer.

Long, hot summer in Port Charles. Couldn’t think of a better time for a refreshing dip-in the ladypond! Shame the waters are so shallow-as once they dive-in, rest assured they will join the ranks of Felix, Brad and is it Lucas-can’t remember-have not seen him in ions. Is Brad still even employed at GH or did he pack his tainted urine samples and leave town? Why her, why now-when so many, many people and no money and firings-one invests their interest in one after another who is then either shown the door or perennially MIA? What happened to the very attractive young man that was interested in Kristina? What makes most sense to me is Mommie Dearest Alexis-who has a new AA sponsor that allows beer and wine-better yet, a trip to the Valley of the Dolls. Neely O’hara! Alexis surely needs someone to ease her past Julian-and perhaps a truly sordid Ladypond mother/daughter stinkfest love triangle. Tiring of tepid, please-bring it up a notch.

I suggested the exact same thing eons ago when it looked as though the “Parker-Go-Round” was going to go full-tilt in Port Charles, and it was roundly pooh-poohed, Phyllis. I also subsequently maintained to similar nays that it’s time for Alexis to go swimming in a new kind of waterpark….after all those failed, disastrous relationships with the opposite sex, she needs to find an alternative to that stale groove she’s been locked in forever with her endless parade of criminal male miscreant paramours! Tsk, tsk!…Nothing could be better than the scenario you have so vividly constructed…I always said that Krissie’s attraction to Parker was due to her own mommy issues, so what could be more psychologically messed up than the “Two Mommies” having their own sort of lovefest up close and personal in this sulky child’s face??? I was wondering what was going on with Ashley because I just saw her in a commercial. when i saw her in that, it made me wonder if they dropped the ball on the Parker character. Glad to see they’re ready to go back to her.

I wish she would come back to The Bold and the Beautiful. I think Eric needs his daughter now. I think she’s a wonderful actress, but I wasn’t to thrilled with this story. She was to old for Kristina. But then again, as a fan of GH from the old days, I refuse to watch after the terrible “tribute show” for Peter Hansen. That was such a letdown
Unfortunately, the “tribute” show was a disaster with one flashback! What a complete letdown.
Good. I like this actress and we get to see Kristina on screen. I hope its a good story and just not a walk on.

This beautiful S/L represents older/younger couples that do exist! This couples deserves happiness just like any other. Age does NOT belong in adult relationships & they are both adults! We all fell in love with Parker because of Ashley’s amazing acting skills. Ashley & Lexi have shown great respect for these characters & this difficult & realistic story. This S/L is different & refreshing from all the others that have the same plots over & over. Ashley is the only one who could play this role. She ownes it and I cannot wait to see her portray all the different layers of Parker. Ashley & Lexi have this amazing chemistry right from the very 1st scene & every scene after that! Their chemistry carries over to Parker & Kristina. You feel it & see it whenever they are in the same room! Parker & Kristina is a wonderfully, beautifully & respectfully written S/L and we never know what’s going to happen. Always an element of surprise!
So those that do not like this story, then just don’t watch it. Stop degrading 2 highly talented actresses who agreed to take on this challenging storyline with hopes of reaching those who are facing many of the same challenges. Ashley & Lexi are understanding, caring actresses that deserve our respect for all those they have helped since this story began!

It’s about time #GH brought this SL back. I think Kristina and Parker’s chemistry was natural & undeniable.
They really brought this to life. It’s very important in this day and age to continue with their journey. I don’t
know why Age is such a big issue with this SL there have been many lovers with such a difference in age and it wasn’t an issue then. Doesn’t matter it’s 2 woman Love is Love and it’s Ageless. Ppl need to get with the times. Ashley is a phenomenal actress and her and Lexi are up for this challenge as they have shown. Remember Lexi won an Emmy for this SL. I am very excited they finally brought Parker back & find out more about her life and #Pristina’s journey.
Funny thing, Lexi won an Emmy and she has barely been on the show since.
I was never interested in the Parker/Kristina relationship. It seemed forced, thrown in by the writers to see if it would stick, and not too believable to me with a theme I just don’t care for. Plus, I’ve just never liked the Kristina character. She always seems to have little hissy fits about one thing or another compared to sister Molly. Must means Lexi is doing her job well for me to feel this way.
But it does seem they could be setting up Kristina to work her way into Sonny/daddy’a buniess. Some commenters have called her “Mob Princess” and it seems to fit. She sure has Sonny’s erratic/impatient temperment , and she made some Sonny-like threats to Julian when he was at the hospital to check up on Sam.
Rose, what a great idea, can’t believe it hadn’t occurred to me! Kristina would be a perfect replacement for Sonny. Similar smugness, erratic to the max (and she does it without having a bipolar reason). I like It! And by the way, if they’re trying to catch up with the 21st century, we already have a same-sex couple with chemistry that blows the roof off…and we NEVER see them. Let’s fill in that blank before adding more superfluous characters. Bring back Brad and Lucas!
Would not be surprised if Parker shows up just long enough to realize Kristina is bipolar. Because we can never have too many bipolar characters. I’d opt for bedwetting or folie a deux-you know I can not recall schizophrenia on daytime but surely have forgotten but would enjoy seeing that play out.
I agree with your description of Kristina, Rose, and I posted something very similar below. I think she acts entitled, spoiled, and immature, much like her brother Morgan did.
I’m up for this, because I feel like the Parker/Kristina storyline got dropped far too soon. Though, low-key, I was hoping for Ashley to return as Bridget on The Bold and the Beautiful, because I miss that character and how different she was from the rest of the Forrester/Logan clan.
So excited to read this! Ashley Jones is a very good actress and hot! This storyline had great potential and was abruptly dropped. No one would blink an eye at the 15 year age difference if Parker were a man. Kristina is no longer her student and these two sizzle together. Bring it on!!
I beg to differ, Trish…As you may already know if you are a regular follower of this website, age is always a BIG issue here whenever character relationships are discussed and dissected! Furthermore, as far as GH May-December romances go, you need only go back to Sonny and Emily’s nauseating tryst….that was one hugely-panned yuckfest, although mercifully abridged!

And while I’m thinking about it and once again, for the UMPTEENTH time, Parker is not too old, a predator or a pedophile! She never once forced herself on Kristina. Never tricked, manipulated or seduced Kristina. In fact, the night they slept together, it was Kristina who leaned in first and initiated the first kiss. You know what the truth is? All you naysayers and haters are either high or were just born stupid. You’re definitely narrow minded and won’t even give this a chance that it so rightfully deserves. Or is it homophobia? Or ageism? Because either or both of those things could explain a lot. I’ve absolutely LOVED and SUPPORTED this relationship from the beginning and I will continue to do so. I just hope the writers do a better job at exploring this relationship this time. I am not thrilled with this news….I thought this story line was not developed well at all, could have been, but was not. I found Kristina to be pathetic in her attraction and pursuit of Parker, and Parker, well, sort of pathetic too.

I’m just not interested in this storyline. I think its because the storyline has been dropped many times; and I think the storyline is too mature for the likes of Lexi Ainsworth. I’ve just never been a big fan of hers. Her portrayal of Kristina is much like Bryan Craig’s portrayal of Morgan’s. Kristina is a spoiled, immature brat, IMO. The less air-time, the better. I don’t see what someone like Parker, who appears confident, evolved, and mature would see in Kristina.
I am loving the Kristina /Parker storyline! Finally, something that isn’t focused around the mob !! I think that Kristina could use a more updated hair makeover. The current style makes her look like 16, which is why people are having an issue. They have great chemistry and I cannot wait to see this unfold. Hopefully, they will not make this a once a week episode. When TPTB drag out a storyline too long, people lose interest. During the days of Luke and Laura, we didn’t have so many other things to capture our interest. As far as Aaron, “let sleeping dogs lie.”

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital
For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.
According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).
Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared, “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”
In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

Jack Wagner Open to Making an Appearance in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot and Shares, “You Never Really Die on a Soap”
With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.
Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?
As those who saw the end of the original MP know, Peter and Amanda (Locklear) faked their deaths and then tied the knot with Peter on a beach, supposedly in a “happily ever after” scenario.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”
Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.
As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Brook Lynn and Chase Have Their Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties
On General Hospital, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) both were treated to Bachelorette and Bachelor parties to shake off any of those pre-wedding jitters. At The Savoy, the ladies have a touching and fun time with Brook Lynn.
The bride-to-be gives a speech to thank everyone for coming, while Lois lets everyone know to try the signature cocktail the “Brooklynn Chaser”, which gets everybody eventually and mostly, drunk.
When Tracy (Jane Elliot) questions Lois (Rena Sofer) as to why there is no music for the party, Lois realizes she forgot, and somehow, who does she call to the rescue? Spinelli (Bradford Anderson)! Saving the day, he winds up playing some tunes and later gets on the dance floor to ‘shake it off’ with the gals.

Lois makes a speech as the mother of the bride, and shares how proud she is of the woman Brook Lynn has become. Wedding games begin, including one of “hot potato” with a wedding bouquet.
When it’s time for the “Silly Poses” section of the party, Spinelli has now morphed from DJ to staff photographer taking memorable photos of the ladies to remember the evening by.

The best part of the event, was when Brook Lynn tries to get her grandmother Tracy out on the dance floor, which, at first, she refuses. After several of the guests bust a move, a tipsy Tracy joins the dance party after Joss mentions that if her grandmother Bobbie was here, she would dance. Tracy says “she agrees” and begins to cut a rug on the floor, much to the delight of the other women.

In the final moments, a tipsy Joss and Kristina (Kate Mansi) have a confrontation about Sonny, and Joss lets Kristina in more on Sonny’s behavior, which looks to have clued in Kristina a bit more as to how something is way off about her dad.

Across town at the Hatchett Bar, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and the men with the exception of Anna (Finola Hughes) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper), all attend Chase’s Bachelor Party where throwing hatchets into a dart board for supremacy is the order of the day. Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Ned (Wally Kurth) get into some words over ELQ, while Dante makes a toast to his police partner, Chase.

Suddenly Dex (Evan Hofer) shows up. Chase thanks Dex for coming, but Dex gets some dirty looks from other cops on the force. Dante gives Chase his present, which is a signed baseball by the Boston Red Sox.
Ned (Wally Kurth) makes a speech that although no one is good enough for his daughter, Brook Lynn, Chase has come closer than anyone has, so welcome to the family. Running in at the end is Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez), who just left Brook Lynn’s party, and she toasts her singing partner, Chase, and to the great man that he is.
