Over at Let’s Make A Deal, the festivities kick into high gear beginning on December 22nd with traders taking a ride on the ‘Christmas Cash Train,’ opening the countdown calendar, and revealing gifts with prizes inside. The celebration continues on December 23, with host Wayne Brady writing a letter to Santa and a wise man playing Car Pong. With a Christmas cruise, seven round trips, four cars, and five golden rings wrapped for the winning, it is sure to be two very merry episodes.

Now on to the soaps …. on The Bold and the Beautiful, the Forrester, Logan, and Spencer families and friends gather at the Forrester estate on Friday, December 23 to celebrate Christmas. Liam (Scott Clifton) gives a touching speech about holiday traditions, and Katie (Heather Tom) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) share a poignant moment under the mistletoe. With hearts full of love, laughter, and gratitude, each person expresses their blessings to one another, emphasizing the power of joy, hope, love, and, most importantly, family. Everyone gathers around the piano as Eric (John McCook) leads them in singing traditional Christmas carols, and a beloved family member receives a Christmas miracle.

on bold why aren’t brooke and taylor telling ridge to walk at this point it’s pathetic why is bill waffling over brooke and katy and not having a relationship with Li and in yand r all things Diane and phyllis are exciting all things devon nate and abby is not

Santa could you please bring new writers old sets back to these shows??? Sigh!

And the old music team to y n r! This new pop crap is horrid. The original music added so much depth to the scenes

B&B holiday shows can be disappointing. The characters are so mean and unhappy, any demonstration of Christmas cheer seems fake. Why would these people want to gather together? It’s difficult to enjoy. ATWT did the best holiday hours. I have a DVD of some and those episodes are worth rewatching each year.

So one of the most popular actresses is pouring coffee and we get non stop CH and ME and MS us still waving her hands and they call this acting !

Looking forward to Michael Damian returning to The Young and the Restless and to John McCook playing the piano

Can’t beat the around the Christmas tree words of wisdom from HB, Henry, Ross, Ed, and Bert on GL. Also the Santa stories in New York with Philip and Beth. Looking forward to anything that takes us back to the 70s and 80s.

Oh yeah. I listened to GL on the radio in the late ’30s and then on TV. I miss all those characters you mentioned and more. I can still hear the original music and see the ” Guiding Light” Such wonderful memories, huh?

clb: thanks for reminding us of the greatest earth mother in soaps.. dear Bert Bauer. I loved how she greeted everyone with a sincere “Hi, dear”. Remember when she took in that young woman Pam, played by Maureen Silliman? Perfect Bert love. Let’s face it, Traci Abbott is the only loving person on Y&R, and she’s relegated to cameo appearances. GH? Can’t think of anyone like Bert or Nancy Hughes from ATWT. I like Nikki and Ava and Olivia, and I know Y&R’s Sharon tries, but that warm feeling, I fear, won’t be seen again. Happy Holidays.

Notice that Ridge is not at any of the Forrester festivities they are describing.
I hope it’s Katie that gets the Christmas Miracle they mention. Can’t stand Paris’s mother, did not know she was Katy’s Dr.

Eric Braeden on The Young and the Restless Four-Year Renewal: “We Never Take Any of This For Granted, Trust Me”

On Tuesday, CBS officially gave The Young and the Restless a four-year renewal which will take the daytime drama series onward through its 55th anniversary season in 2027-2028.

Y&R has remained the top-rated soap opera for 36 consecutive years and CBS’ longest-running series in its storied history.

Sharing his reaction to the great news was Y&R’s iconic star, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman).  Standing outside of CBS Television City where The Young and the Restless is taped, Eric addressed the renewal in a video, and how the show could not have done this without the power of the fans all around the world.

Eric began, “We were renewed for four years. I’ve been coming to this studio for 44 years now, and now we have another four years added to it. How wonderful is that? And that’s thanks to you, to all of you, who are loyal fans all over the world.”

In addition, Braeden acknowledged how truly special the four-year pick-up is, when in this day and age, any series could get canceled at any time. “Love you all and we never take any of this for granted, trust me,” he shared. “Alright, you’d be cool. I’m very happy to hear about the four year renewal. I really am. Because in today’s world you can’t take anything for granted. And in the changing world of media, seemingly nothing is prominent. But we are here another four years. Alright, be cool everyone. I love it. And thank you. Thank you for your loyalty.”

Braeden began playing the role of ruthless business man, Victor Newman back in 1980. Throughout the years, he has shared that he initially didn’t want the role, but how it led him on an incredible journey playing this one-of-kind character on television.

What do you think about Eric acknowledgement of the enduring fans of The Young and the Restless who have kept tuning-in through thick and thin to the loves and the drama of the residents of Genoa City all these years? Comment below.

REPORT: CBS to Exercise Option to Renew The Bold and the Beautiful Through 2024-2025 Season

Hot on the heels of today’s announcement of The Young and the Restless being picked-up for four more season, many have wondered what this means for its sister soap, The Bold and the Beautiful.

According to a report by TV Line, during B&B’s last renewal pick-up for two years, CBS included an option for an additional year. So, when B&B’s current renewal expires this May, (just like Y&R’s was set to do) it included an additional option year.

A CBS source told the outlet, that the option will be exercised, extending B&B through the 2024-25 TV season. There most likely would be no official announcement for B&B continuing on for another year, since its not part of a newly-negotiated extension.

The Bold and the Beautiful was co-created by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell and premiered on CBS back on March 23, 1987. The series will be celebrating its 37th anniversary next month.

Currently, viewers were in for a shock when this week, it appears that the powers-that-be ended the reign of terror of supervillain Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) or did they?

With Y&R renewed for four years, B&B expected for another under its current contract with CBS, Days of our Lives renewed through its 60th season and General Hospital continuing on, it looks like there is no need to worry at present time that the four remaining soap operas are going anywhere.

So, glad to know B&B will have CBS pick-up their option for at least another year? Comment below.
