Could Y&R Be Considering Bringing Michael Muhney Back As Adam Newman?

Fans have been missing Michael Muhney (Ex-Adam Newman) on The Young and the Restless since December 2013 when he was last seen on-air. The star was fired from the CBS soap opera amidst controversy, but months after he has been gone the fan fervor for him has not stopped.
More recently, Y&R sent out a casting notice for the role of “Aaron Newton” which clearly was the recast for “Adam Newman” and their search had been on-going to fill the void left by Muhney in the pivotal role of the black sheep of the Newman clan.
However there have been rumors, and now an item in this week’s Soap Opera Digest on newsstands now, that “Insiders report Michael Muhney could be back in the mix to reprise the role,” and that Muhney was reportedly “spotted at the Y&R studios.”
When pressed about Muhney possibly returning to to the show, A Y&R spokesperson told Digest, “We don’t comment on rumors or contract status.”

Michael was cleared. He hired someone to investigate who did what. Celebrity Dirty Laundry has the report. I can’t believe people are condemning Michael with no proof. If Hunter was so traumatized and going public then she should’ve filed a police report for her claim to be investigated. She didn’t do that because she knows it didn’t happen and filing a false police report is a crime.
Additionally, usually men who sexually harass don’t do it once, they are predators. So where is every other woman he’s known in his personal or professional life? Not one woman had come forward. I’m a trauma survivor so I know how men like this work. I hate what Hunter did because victims like myself are put through hell when we are telling the truth and want justice.
Now, as for personality clashes on set do you really believe this is the first show ever to have actors and actresses not get along? There’s always two sides to every story. I can see Eric Braeden and Michael clash because Michael was Victor 2.0 Eric should’ve embraced that. Michael himself admits his role with problems on the set. Maybe he deserved a reality check who knows I wasn’t there. Michael never blamed Jill Farren Phelps for that. But then later this sexual harassment claim is made which appears to be the reason the show really let him go. However, neither CBS or Sony have issued a statement supporting Hunter stating any form of harassment will not be tolerated. That’s because they can’t be sure it’s true. No one should be judge, jury and executioner that’s for the courts to decide. He has a daughter my God someday she will read about this…even though I’m skeptical about Hunters claim, we can’t un-ring a bell. This black cloud will always loom above him. As the mother of a son it scares me to death that girls can say anything like this and they are believed in many peoples mind. Hunter should have gone all the way through this process starting with the police. I’m still so damn angry at this show trying to recast Adam. Another of a long line of impulsive acts
Michael Muhney should do what he wants to do. If he chooses to return to Y&R, then good for him. If not, then good for him.
The people behind his smear should be the ones exposed. I’d love to find out who they were. Why didn’t TMZ reveal that? Muhney could sue the hell out of them.
Not to take sides, but of course he can only sue if the allegations are false. Truth is always the ultimate defense in defamation cases.
And so why hasn’t he sued? Could it be that it was not a smear and just the truth? That would be my guess.
Think about it, if you were wrongly slandered and lost your job and reputation, wouldn’t you sue? Of course you would, why hasn’t he?

I never believed Michael ever went near HK, in anyway shape or form. He IS NOT a pedophile. Everyone knows Angelica McD hubby, Brian McD owns TMZ. No brainer there. They were attempting to slander Michael in anyway shape or form to rid him. Gossip rags will do that. He speaks his mind and doesn’t take BS from anyone. If indeed Michael is returning to Y&R it is for us the fans who’s support had no doubt. The haters will continue to hate. HK will be replaced, Jill Farren Phelps will be fired for all these ridiculous storielines. Y&R’s ratings have sunk since she took over. I can’t wait to see what happens next… It’s already in the works!!!
It is only an allegation. He was never arrested. No depositions were taken. He cleared his name somehow that has not been told. She probably backed off because said allegations were not true. Otherwise, she would take him to court for a bundle of $$.
The worst would be if it was all a publicity stunt. But to help whose career?

Despite what may or may not have happened on the set the fact remains, Michael Muhney took over the role and made it his own. He is a brilliant actor and is a perfect choice for Victor Jr. He is tall like Victor, can rise to the ocassion when he was to do battle with Victor, and can be charming and vulnerable . He is able to bring me to tears, make me root for the underdog, or evoke any other emotion that a great actor should be able to achieve. Despite what has happened on the set, so long as no laws were broken, everyone at Y and R should check there egos at the door and do what is best for the long term success of the show. This is a pivotal character that should be portrayed by a strong personality…Michael Muhney. Otherwise, I feel the ratings will continue to plummet and we will be hearing that Y and R is being canceled. Sad for me since I have been watching for 27 years.
ITA! I did not like him at first, but after watching him a few times, I began to see what a great actor he is! He should be in the movies, but I guess he is too old to start that!

Michael was never charged because it never happened. His leading ladies for God sake we’re beautiful starting with Sharon Newman. I’ve seen pictures of him with Tracey Bregman and then there we’re bed scene’s with the beautiful Chelsea Newman, or the one he came to town with and started the laundry fund with. Let me guess they didn’t turn him on but fake blondie with her brown roots and fat arms did. Please Summer was not known and going nowhere she quickly became popular over her allegations and the HEAD BOSS of Y & R Eric Braeden is so damn high on himself he didn’t get along with Michael and wanted to get rid of his competition. Personally I wish they would just get rid of that Summer. That wouldn’t mean he’d be back but at least we’d get rid of the troublemaker that made us lose him, as for E.B. I think with his drinking he’s going soon anyways.
I think Michael M should return to Y&R, a great actor, I feel he was one of the best on the long running soap. He gave the soap some substance, mystery and was one of the strong characters.
Yes, I heard there was a mishap with Phyllis’s dtr but I don’t think that this should have ruined his life.

I love Y & R , and I love all the actors and actress on that soap show. Michael Muhney included. If it wasn’t for the management and writers for the show we would not have our daytime drama. So bring Michael and Bill Miller back too.
I don’t know either of the two but alot of people seem to be putting Michael at fault but maybe Hunter wanted some kind of relationship with him and he turned her down so she lied and stirred up trouble for him. We all know that a lot of young female actresses like their men older…just saying..

Any maybe none of the allegations were true! I would love it if this were all a hoax, but I can’t believe they would take it this far. I definitely want him back. I don’t believe that he did anything wrong — I also don’t believe the actress who plays Summer did anything wrong. I think people made this stuff up and now it is the gospel. I think if anything, he upset the wrong people. He is a wonderful actor.
Maybe he went there with a personally written script to get this show back on track. As bad as Hope is on B&B the show moves quickly at 30 minutes and has actors I enjoy watching in some goofy plots at times which end up being some of their best. GH might be mob oriented and you may love/hate it but it’s a power packed 60 minutes of over the top/dramatic/heart wrenching/surprising on any given day. DOOL may have syrupy sweet Jennifer but the characters and most stories keep me watching regularly. Y&R is soooo sleep inducing. I have no idea what i’m watching at times and find myself shaking off dreams and a nap I wasn’t aware I needed. RUN DON’T WALK MICHAEL MUHNEY…to the nearest casting department of the OTHER 3 soaps. I can say in all honesty I won’t be watching this show until La Tognoni debuts as phyllis. And even then not till a day after she wakes up from her year long coma. Which she’ll wake up from at the end of another nap inducing episode on a Friday.

I think that is a possibility. You know they could have been having a real life dalliance, and things went haywire…or they broke it off, and he did something he shouldn’t so he apologized. And she accepted his apology. It happens in businesses all the time. Especially in TV and movies. Celebrities are pushed to the “breaking point”. I don’t know how they draw that line. I guess that is truly why there are so many divorces amongst celebrities. You read about it every day.

As a woman I would be offended if they brought back a man who sexually harassed a young woman and bullied costars. As many as he would bring back they would lose. How disgusting if they are considering this due to ratings. He didn’t make the show but he could break it with the bad press this would bring to Y&R. What message would they be sending? It is ok to grope young women, call costars nasty names, be arrogant as long as you give them ratings.

I am not assuming he called costars names because I read his tweets calling fellow actors nasty names just because they didn’t complement him on his work when they were complimenting others even though he had done the very same thing multiple times. But he took it personally and went on the attack. I also saw him asking fans what characters should be written off the show and mentionally the show needed to get rid of characters, in effect firing his fellow actors. That is unprofessional. He has admitted himself he was too arrogant in his exit interview. And there were plenty f time he showed his arrogance. The only thing we don’t know for sure is what happened with HHK but something happened. Probably not as bad as some reported but it seems it was the straw that broke the camel’s back combined with other unprofessional behavior. Popular actors don’t get fired for no reason. And if someone was accusing me of sexual harassment, I would protest loudly. MM stayed silent? Why?
There was never any proof or any charges filed against Michael Muhney yet you already have him tried and convicted of rumors!! Whats up with that. In this country it is innocent until proven guilty, or has that changed and I didn’t hear about it!!
The first concerns I had that MM was actually not guilty was when I heard the “Summer” actress was being mentored by “TGVN” actor, who, I hear, hates MM. MM is EB’s own image in the mirror (think Beta fish), I guess, as far as arrogance is concerned. And the old bull did not like the new bull. Well, bull. This should be about good acting, good storyline, generating bigger audiences. And old bull should share the pasture with new bull in that circumstance. Yeah, it wouldn’t happen with actual bulls, but we are talking about actors who get paid for acting…so act like you can get along and please your audience.

Well, I wouldn’t sit back and say nothing if I was being smeared. I would fight with the support of my union if I was being unfairly fired but MM did neither of these things? Can somebody tell me why he would not fight these allegations if they were lies? MM could try to defend himself, but he hasn’t and it’s not like he was afraid or hesitant to share his thoughts on social media in the past.

I agree with both of you – Tom and Jeff. If Michael was found guilty of the charges, I do not care how popular he was, there is nothing that could justify his return. The other side of that coin though is, if he was found not guilty, than if I were him, I would be hitting CBS up with a law suit, not working on a new contract. It is very odd that nothing else was ever said about that whole situation. I know that is a private matter, but they bring the whole thing to our attention, and then it is all swept under the rug.

First, I don’t believe this rumor. Second, if those allegations and rumors as to why he was fired have any validity, Sony couldn’t hire back MM because that would make them legally liable for a sexual harassment suit.
If in the off chance this rumor is true and they do rehire Michael Muhney back, we could look at this at his vindication because there is no way they would hire him back if he was guilty of the alleged harassment. I do know what you all mean, though. The hard part about this whole thing is we viewers were never given the whole story–all we heard were whispers, rumors and veiled hints. We still just don’t know what happened.

Rumors don’t lead to people being fired. He had ongoing issues with being unprofessional. The incident with HHK was said to be the straw that broke the camel’s back which means there were othe straws. We saw that when he slipped up and showed his true self on Twitter occassionally. He said some truly horrible things about fellow actors that he had to retract.

Those allegations were unconfirmed and unsubstantiated rumors. And not released by TPTB at Y&R. But by an overzealous fan for whatever reason. Hunter King did not even spread the rumor. Both Hunter King and Michael Muhney are victims and these dangerous rumors hasvehurt both of their careers significantly. One may not realize this but it limits Hunter King’s ability to find another job as not many men will want to work with her. That’s the way our society is. Don’t be harsh on either actor.

A job is a job– it is not that easy to get acting gigs and I am sure he was well paid over at Y&R– so if you got a family to support, you can put up with all kinds of crap, it is called being a professional. But whether he is actually coming back we will see.

MANY have said there were no charges filed. NONE. Of course MM has been quiet through all of this. First of all he has a career to save. He has a wife. A daughter and other children to think of. A mother…family. Those are his concerns. If this truly happened to Hunter then I cannot imagine that she would not file charges against MM. But all in all NONE of us have lived this situation except for Michael and Hunter and we just all have opinions.
I adore MM and happen to believe that he is a fabulous actor and I hate that he is no longer on Y&R. Yet I’m not going to sit and make accusations or pass judgment on Hunter because I don’t know her or what happen.

IMO, MM was heading for the top spot on that soap. He should have won an Emmy for best actor in 2014 . I blame hunter King and JFP for derailing That young man”s career. When has he walked the walked or talked the talked? He got fired and accused of sexual harrassment in the media and said nothing. What innocent person would allow themselves to be falsely accused and not say anything? And you are right, he was being treated as one of the stars of the show yet ended up being fired with the approval of the head of Sony programming and CBS programming. That tells me he is not some innocent victim. Where there is smoke there generally is fire.

JulieW, what many seem to not understand is that this is not a court of law, so I don’t understand this stance of innocent until proven guillty. He was not facing criminal charges. He was fired for unprofessional behavior. He was fired with cause. He belongs to a union. If he was fired without cause he would have filed a complaint and his union would have fought for him. He is not defendng himself. He is not saying these are lies. If someone lied about you and you were fired unjustly would you stay silent? I know I wouldn’t. If he did absolutely nothing wrong why was he fired with the approval of upper management at CBS and SONY?

This would be the greatest news. The show has suffered with his absence.
I have a feeling the show did bring him back, and that his “firing” was a marketing ploy to give Michael and the character of Adam time off from the show. If he chooses to return, I fully support him. The writing for Adam has always been strong, and met Michael’s superb acting talents. But I just want him back on my TV on any soap! He should be working!
I don’t think his firing was a marketing ploy– MM would have been insane to go along with it and have his rep dragged through the mud. What sounds like a marketing ploy is this item of his return– could be a planted item to get fans thinking about Adam again, creating buzz leading up to news of the replacement they have chosen.
And I highly doubt Michael would allow them to use him as as a ploy for a recast. I believe that if he did some back, it’d be happening. And until it’s announced, I have a suspicion he’s back at Y&R as Adam Newman.

That means absolutely nothing. I wouldn’t fully believe Michael Logan. First of all, if he is as close with JFP as people say, why would he admit that this can happen and ruin the surprise? And second of all, what possible reason could Michael Muhney have been on the Y&R set? If someone was fired from their job, what possible reason would they have to go back to that very job six months later for no apparent reason?

You have to remember, he was OUT when the rumor and innuendo started. He had probably already signed a non-disclosure agreement in return for receiving a severance package. He would have been legally bound to not say a word. He has intimated on Twitter not to believe everything you read. I am trying to keeping an open mind. I wish others would as well.

I read somewhere ratings had dropped drastically since the actors were leaving Billy,Adam Phyllis, Chloe.(not sure if Chloe would drop ratings) But new Billy already on his way out and another new one going to try it. Will have to see if new Phyllis will work. But Adam> It seems people are really upset at his firing. IF the allegations are true then yes I can see it but if not then yes he needs back. I hope MM is back as Adam.

No charges were ever laid, no real publicity … So that leaves me to believe that it was all made up… And they ruined a good actor’s career… Why, probably jealousy… But who knows… I would hope that if they acted too quick they would at least issue a public apology to Michael Muhney… I would be thrilled to hear that he would be returning as Adam…I probably would return to watch….

As much as I loved his portrayal of Adam Newman, I believe it would do more harm than good to bring him back. MM returning either means (1) the rumors weren’t true and they put a man, his family, a young lady, and the entire cast of YR through hell for nothing OR (2) they’re bowing to public pressure and rehiring a pervert who harassed a teen-aged co-star. Both alternatives are heinous and I would expect a bloodbath of firings and resignations if it should occur.
YR just needs to recast someone so the speculation can cease.
BTW, former cast and friends of cast visit YR all the time. It’s pretty meaningless just to report he was at the studios. CM met with several people beyond CMcC for his ET interview; that doesn’t make him nuAdam either. And “we don’t comment” means exactly that. Doesn’t mean yes or no.
Actually, if the allegations were true (IF, since all it was was speculation…. no truth ever made known), Hunter was of legal age; Hunter just plays a teenager on the show, in real life she is 20 years old. So even then, she’s of legal age. So pervert Michael would not be.
And it wouldn’t be the first time a soap bended to the public; they did it with Rebecca Herbst on GH when they fired her and re-hired her days later because of fan outcry.
Y&R has done it in the past for Eric Braeden, Melody Thomas Scott and Daniel Goddard. Daniel Goddard’s character was shot and killed; but Y&R explained it away by saying that it was Cane’s twin brother. Anyone remember that? I do. And a banner was flown over CBS studios by fans for Daniel Goddard. So actors have been let go and brought back. There likely have been more in the 40+ year history of Y&R.

Let’s play devil’s advocate here… ok, let’s say the rumors were true, and i’m just saying if, but if the rumors were true, I think it would be in very bad taste to bring him back. I would really lose a lot of respect for the powers that be of this show. To bring him back just because there is this fanbase that is still obviously upset. And yes, I was a very big fan of MM. I thought he was one of the best actors on the show…but that’s no excuse.
Ok, on the flip side…let’s say the rumors weren’t true..they were blown out of proportion, we didn’t have all the facts(actually we never really had any facts one way or another) and this was a bad call on the show’s part…I would highly doubt that MM would ever come back (hefty settlement? nice new pay raise?). I mean why would you want to?
The one thing that I don’t get is how everyone is willing to just excuse really bad behavior because they have this distorted obsession with a character on a show. And again, this is speculation…but I do believe something did happen and no, I don’t believe it was HK’s fault. IF rumors were true, I hope MM got some help to deal with his issues and he moves on…but not back to Y&R.

I loved him as Adam and feel he is the only actor that can play him, otherwise they will most likely end up with another mess of trying to find a replacement for Billy Miller.
I think the actor that replaces David Tom, who was also wronged, would be a good Adam Newman. Maybe they are trying to trick us.
Oh my gosh NO! David Tom could never do Adam Newman. Never! And they did that poor young man dirt by firing him saying he was too young for Kelly. According to DT. That doesn’t make sense since his character was not involved with Kelly any longer, his brother Jack is. Y&R is struggling. Really struggling! And grabbing at straws.
Everyone deserves a second chance. If he has gone for therapy and realizes his misconduct and has apologized to the actress, than he should be rehired.

A great, confident talent would know his or her star rises as the actor plays off kindred talent. You cannot be afraid to let others share the spotlight.

Didn’t anyone here follow Michael’s Mom on Twitter when she was confronted by a non-MM fan. His Mom was very graceful, respectful and never once lost her cool on Twitter. Michael’s Mom said he did NOT do it and he DID NOT want to sue. All of our talking about this needs to stop and let these actors have a lilfe and get a paycheck Would any one of us want to talked about in this way all over social media. I think NOT. If Michael Muhney was falsely accused then he should sue whoever he wants.Now if he was guilty then maybe he spent the last few moments getting help and hoping everything would blow over in time.As for him reportedly been at the studio there could have been a lot of reasons for that.Plus it could be interesting to find out whose idea it was for him to show up at the studio.Maybe Y&R is willing to give him another chance but it might be his last one.Plus i’m sure there are ways the show can make sure Michael and Hunter don’t tape on the same days and have no contact with each other.

I don’t like what MM was supposed to have done. Know I’m not the only one, but ratings and adv’t $ always trump. There are many who want him back, and look at what just happened to “Billy” being recast just a couple of months into the the actor who originated the character coming back, for what some would say was his lukewarm reception from fans (can’t buy into “he looked too young”). Maybe he went to “rehab” in his time off and is reformed. Who knows?

I just saw a side to everyone over at Y&R actors, writers and producers that I did not like. I will never feel about the show like I use to they put new meaning into the word Phony. Look I was excited when Tristan Rogers came back and that story was a disaster. JFP does this everywhere where she goes MAB needed to be replaced but not with this.
If they do bring him back then all the rumors about what he supposedly did were false – which is truly awful.
Or, if those rumors were true and yet they bring him back, that means TPTB are truly awful.

The thing is if true we just don’t know what when down. Sexual misconduct can be anything from pitching someone’s bottom every time they walked by to truly criminal acts— and what one person might accept as common workplace joking around, another person might find offensive. Since none of us know what the incidents were and in what context they were done, there might be some leeway for settling the issues between these two people to allow MM to return.
And I believe most shows would have dealt with such matters privately unless it involved criminal behavior, in this case MM was not liked personally by many on set and whatever happened gave them a chance to get rid on him. I bet if he was well liked by all they would have swept it under rug long ago unless it was truly a criminal act then they would have called the police.

There is no way ABC would allow MM to remain on set and in scenes with HH..
The liability would be devastating for ABC to allow that to happen, there are licenses involved etc..

I would love this to happen, but would Y&R ever consider bringing him back if the allegations against him for groping Hunter King were true? No they would not. That’s why I firmly believe that story was a cover for the real reason they fired him. Not once has any actor, producer, executive, etc. said that MM did anything of that nature. Hunter King never came forward and accused him of it, and there’s no way CBS or Sony would allow MM back at the studios, let alone on the show, if there was any truth to that story.
But if I were MM, I would say “screw you” to Y&R execs. They fired him when he was probably one of the most talked about and praised actors on the show in a long time. He brought tremendous depth and interest to the character of Adam, and that’s how he’s treated? Hopefully he returned to the set with legal papers and a lawsuit because those unproven allegations caused him to lose his job and damage to his reputation.
However, as a viewer who has missed MM and Adam, I really hope he does come back to the show because he is one of the best actors in the business and the character is integral to the show. The reason JFP hasn’t found anyone to replace MM is because he is truly irreplaceable in the role. Plus, what high-level actor would even touch the role of Adam, knowing what the fan backlash would be like? Look what happened to David Tom when he replaced Billy Miller as Billy. And now, 4 months later, he’s out. No actor wants that, and that’s what would happen.
What a cruel hoax if he’s not coming back. 🙁
I don’t think MM is the only actor who can play Adam, but I am willing to accept that whatever happened was overblown, and the TPTB may be willing to risk the wrath of EB and rehire a great talent to improve the show.

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital
For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.
According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).
Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared, “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”
In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

TV Line shared that ‘multiple sources’ are confirming that Chavez is not returning to the ABC soap opera, which is what many had suspected might be the case once he left for this major starring role in a Ryan Murphy project. Chavez has been relatively quiet on social media for months.

The Michael Fairman Channel spoke with Nicholas Chavez for a virtual interview when he first joined the show in 2021, and spoke to him right after when he won the Daytime Emmy in 2022 – you can see those below.
No word yet on when Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story will debut on Netflix, but it is assumed later this year.

DAYS and ‘Supernatural’ Alum Jensen Ackles Joins the Cast of Justin Hartley’s CBS Series ‘Tracker’
Look who’s joining Justin Hartley’s hit freshman drama, Tracker! None other than another soap alum, former Days of our Lives and Supernatural favorite Jensen Ackles.
In a reveal via Hartley’s Instagram on Thursday, Ackles is set to play Hartley’s on-screen brother on the CBS procedural drama. In Tracker, Colter Shaw is estranged from his brother, Russell, which has been a big part of the mystery of season one.
Ackles is best known for his long run as Dean Winchester in The CW’s Supernatural, a role he reprised in the prequel of the series The Winchesters. He also recently starred in ABC’s Big Sky as Sheriff Beau Arlen and in The Boys as Soldier Boy.

Jensen was the original Eric Brady on Days of our Lives, a role he played from 1997-2000, before departing for the world of primetime and film. Eric was in love with Nicole played by Arianne Zucker. The part of Eric was recast with Greg Vaughan taking over the role in 2012.

In his Instagram post, Justin thanked everyone for watching Tracker, and then revealed Ackles as the surprise casting announcement in the role of Russell, while Jensen was playing pinball in the video! No word yet on when Jensen’s first episode as Russell will air. Stay tuned.

Jack Wagner Open to Making an Appearance in ‘Melrose Place’ Reboot and Shares, “You Never Really Die on a Soap”
With the Melrose Place revival the talk of the town, now Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, GH, ex-Nick, B&B and ex-Peter Burns, MP) has weighed-in on it and if he would show up in the new series if it should find a home.
Currently, CBS Studios is developing a reboot starring Heather Locklear, Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton. But what is Dr. Peter Burns were to show up alive?
As those who saw the end of the original MP know, Peter and Amanda (Locklear) faked their deaths and then tied the knot with Peter on a beach, supposedly in a “happily ever after” scenario.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”
Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.
As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”
