Today, Crystal Chappell posted her latest entry on her V-Blog on the Venice the Series website to relate her thoughts on the hilarious and creative funeral episode that was posted today as episode nine of the hit web soap made its debut.  The actress/writer/producer also shared her sentiments on last Friday’s ending of One Life to Live, a show in which she appeared at Maggie Carpenter.   Here are a few excerpts!

Chappell on the Venice funeral:“Who doesn’t love a good funeral? Well, really it was a memorial but whatever! Hope you enjoyed episode 9 of Venice. It’s one of my favorites. I know that some of the folks I work with told me I’m insane when I suggested this episode. They’re not wrong…but, if I’m going to be crazy, I might as well enjoy myself! LOL. Thanks to Desiree and all the other wonderful funeral guests! You were amazing! Mr. Harrison White for his beautiful self and vocals. Maria Webster for her wonderful guitar and backup. Kelly Moneymaker’s touching music. The cast. I’m blown away every week. So proud of all of you! And I mean all of you…every episode has been a revelation. I continue to learn every week. Mr. Sabatino…. I didn’t know when I went off to work that I’d come home to such fun lyrics…xoxo. You made all the professional whores out there feel special…even if for just a few minutes. ; )”

Chappell on the end of OLTL:  “It wasn’t a good end for me on Friday. I sat in my living room…and I’ll admit, it’s the first time in a long time I’ve sat and watched a soap in real time. The days seem full of that work stuff. One Life should be very proud. They exited with integrity. What a great show! Congrats to Frank and Ron and the whole cast. I cried. I remembered. I wished it wouldn’t end. I still hold out hope that these shows are not lost to us. We just need to restructure a bit and I think that’s doable. I, for one, will do all that I can to support. I hope you do too.”

Doug Davidson Back To The Young and the Restless

Big news Y&R fans, longtime veteran and fan favorite, Doug Davidson is back filming scenes at CBS Daytime’s top-rated soap as Paul Williams.

The news broke when Eric Braeden tweeted a picture of himself with Davidson that simply stated: “He’s Back”

A spokesperson for Y&R did confirm that Davidson (who had been taken off contract by the series a year ago back in January, which caused quite the social media stir) was back on set filming on Friday.  That episode in which Davidson is in will air on March 25th.

Davidson tweeted: “Okay! So, the cat is out of the bag. NONE of any of this would happen without all of your undying loyalty, support and kindness. All of you are the reason “Paul” is back on the canvas. THANK YOU SO MUCH. has been incredible the entire time. A huge thanks to him as well!”

Doug is a Daytime Emmy winner, who started on the daytime drama series back in 1978.  Y&R did receive pushback under Mal Young’s (Ex-EP and head writer) regime for its misuse of long-standing vets.

Dominic Zamprogna Making A Return To General Hospital

After posting a photo from an empty dressing room, Dominic Zamprogna certainly had General Hospital fans interest piqued!  Turns out, Zamprogna is back shooting at the ABC daytime drama series for what it appears to be a short appearance and reprising his role as Dante Falconeri.

As fans know, Dominic departed GH in 2018, after 9 years in the role.  In the photo he posted on social media, Zamprogna is in one of GH’s temporary dressing rooms for the day.  His original dressing room was re-assigned to Josh Swickard (Chase), when Dom exited the show.

The last time viewers saw Dante was in the Sonny-centric episode; where Dante is the mobster and Sonny is by the book.

In current GH story, the character of Dante has been recently mentioned following his wife, Lulu (Emme Rylan) being stabbed by serial killer, Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).  Dante’s parents, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) also discussed his whereabouts. Dante had gone undercover on a major case after leaving Port Charles.

From all reports, it seems that Dominic is making a short return, but it will be more than just a one-day stint.  So, stay tuned.

So, will Dante return to Lulu’s side? Do you hope Dominic’s return means more down the line? Comment below.
