Days of our Lives New Fall Season Promo That ‘Tops All’

Courtesy/NBC

Right before Labor Day weekend, NBC released the new fall season promo for Days of our Lives, and from the looks of it, fans are in for surprise after surprise, all leading to “a twist never before seen in daytime”, according to the teaser.

From Jack (Matt Ashford) and Jennifer’s (Melissa Reeves) big kiss, to someone becoming preggars, to the reuniting of Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole (Arianne Zucker), and heart-stopping drama involving Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Kate (Lauren Koslow), plus Vivian (Robin Strasser) being alive much to the shock of her son, Stefan (Brandon Barash), an Elani wedding, and returns of Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley) and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan), and more, there are plenty of nuggets to dissect and speculate on of what’s to come in Salem from this fall season kick-off.

Watch it below …. and then let us know what you are looking forward to seeing the most via the comment section below.

I am looking forward to the Eli/Lani wedding, Robin Strasser as Vivian and Nicole and Eric being reunited. I am not thrilled to see Hope looking like Princess Gina. The time has come to stop rehashing old storylines. We have seen that before. It also looks like someone is buried alive. Been there, done that. Also, I did not enjoy the Eric/Sarah storyline because we had already seen Eric fall in love with one of his brother’s girlfriend. The ratings MUST go up. It seems the soaps have been losing so many viewers lately. Could it be because we are… Read more »

Nothing appeals to me. Too campy and unbelievable. Same with General Hospital.

Now dont get me wrong I like Robin Strasser however I wish it was the original Vivian. We waited so long to see her by the way I knew she wasnt dead.Even before we saw her in that room.I wonder how many more dead people are going to come back to life.I feel like I am watching Dark Shadows on that show everyone came back to life

Can you imagine if they would have brought in the great Robin Strasser as a Kiriakis, making her Justin’s mother and Sonny’s grandmother instead of yet another DiMera replacement. They could have given her a bitter romantic past with Victor and made her a rival to Maggie in bed and a rival to Victor in business. The possibilities would have been endless. I will say this again. Its time to retire the DiMera family.

Can’t wait to see what’s in store! And as to “what’s never been seen on daytime before”, I’m at a complete loss. Guess I’ll have to be patient and see.

I’m not an obsessive Robin Strasser fan or anything, but I broke into spontaneous applause when I saw her. Even in a three-second clip, she brings such an energy and presence. Really looking forward to seeing her onscreen!

Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Robin Strasser is in town.

I’m also happy to see Chrishell Hartley and Olivia Rose Keegan.

Oh well, I guess one out of three isn’t too bad.

Well, it only took 6.66 seconds for me to know that ReRon’s recasting of Vivian is every bit as bad as all of his other recasts have been. 15 episodes of this is going to be about 15 too many.

I always knew Jordan would return to Salem…….I had predicted that the baby is Rafe’s. I still believe that—–there will be a grand-ole-reunion–Rafe plus Jordan, and baby makes three.
Looking good–great stuff a’coming. Yup….

Loved the video, and the best was seeing the gag in Jennifer’s mouth! Does she ever shut up?

Now that Julie needs a new heart and is too old for the transplant list there’s only two ways to save her (‘cause you know she isn’t going anywhere): either Stefan will die somehow and Gabi will donate his heart to make up for leaving Julie in the park or Lani will marry Eli (in a rushed ceremony so Julie can see her grandson get hitched) and then get shot in the line of duty and Eli will donate his new wife’s heart to save his grandma.

Days is under 2 million viewers. Has been for weeks. I don’t see it going past 2020. But that may change, or the damage is already done and…

Days will always pick the wrong storyline or the wrong couple to focus on and doom itself. It keeps bringing back all these oldie goldies from the 80s instead of focusing on keeping its younger cast members and allowing them to be the focus of the show. It seems unable to give it minority actors other than Gabi substantive storylines. Its obssessed with the DiMera family which should have been retired when Stefano died instead of introducing the younger Kiriakis family. It gives us Nicole at the expense of Belle and Shawn. It kills of every decent guy who has… Read more »

Ok, just curious- Does someone get shot in Salem every week and at every event(wedding, engagement party, funeral, etc., Kristen DiMera is bound to hold Marlena hostage? Didn’t it recently happen at Marlena’s nuptials to John a few months back?

When Lani expressed some reservations about having an engagement party at “Doug’s Place”, she wasn’t exaggerating. Every public event there has resulted in either random acts of violence, insanity, somebody returning from the dead or often all of the above.

It’s another one of those “traditions” ReRon established on the other shows he wrote for….. used the same plot point repeatedly on GH.

Days of our Lives, which transitioned last fall from NBC to the streamer, Peacock has received a two-season renewal pick-up.  That will bring DAYS through its 60th anniversary season.

Already hitting several milestones within its run including; it’s 14,000th episode back in 2020, and being the longest-running series in NBC history to move to Peacock, the lives, romance, intrigue, and drama will continue for the residents of Salem for at least two more years.

According to Peacock PR, DAYS has consistently been a top 10 title since its exclusive move to the platform last year.

Head Writer Ron Carlivati on Bo & Hope Return: “This Is Old School Days of our Lives, and It’s Something That The Audience Has Waited a Very, Very Long Time to See”

Next week, begins the continuation of the shocking story arc that started last summer on Peacock’s limited streaming series, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem Chapter 2.

In it, DAYS fans learned that Bo (Peter Reckell) has been kept in cryogenic cylinder for years, and was brought back to life by Stefano’s daughter, Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson).

Now, circle March 16th for Reckell’s first episode back as Bo and March 17th as Kristian Alfonso’s first episode back as Hope to the mothership and Days of our Lives.

Head writer, Ron Carlivati previewed the storyline in a new interview with Soap Opera Digest in their latest issue on newsstands now.

Carlivati shared: “We pick up Hope where we left her off.  She had gone though this whole experience with Harris Michaels (Steve Burton), finding out that he was in league with Megan Hathaway, and we ended her on ‘Beyond Salem’ like, ‘I have to bring Megan Hathaway to justice.  I have to find her and make her pay.”‘

While Hope is on mission, she will also have Harris Michaels back in the mix, and as the head scribe shares, “Hope is on a collision course with Bo, and she’s unaware of it.”

As to what lies ahead for viewers, Ron revealed: “This is old-school Days of our Lives, and it’s something that the audience has waited a very, very long time to see.  You won’t want to miss it.”

Check out Peacock’s promo for the return of Bo and Hope below which teases that while most people get over their high school sweethearts, this one never did, alluding to Megan’s past relationship with Bo, which is the impetus for her revenge plot.

Now let us know, are you looking forward to seeing how Bo and Hope’s enduring love story continues? Comment below.

Steve Burton Watches Back An Early Scene as Harris Michaels From 1988 & Talks on His Return to DAYS

As previously reported, look for two-time Daytime Emmy winner, Steve Burton (ex-Jason, GH, ex-Dylan, Y&R) to reprise his role as Harris Michaels in an upcoming story arc on Days of our Lives beginning on March 20th.

While Burton started his soap opera career on DAYS back in 1988, he didn’t return to the part of Harris Michaels until last year’s limited series streaming on Peacock, Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2.

Now heading back to the mothership for the first time in almost three and half decades, Burton sat down with his former GH co-star and current DAYS castmate, Wally Kurth (Ned, GH and Justin, DAYS) in a conversation for the DAYS You Tube Channel.

During the chat, Wally showed Steve an early scene of his with none other than Charlotte Ross, who at the time played Eve Donovan.  Make sure to check out Steve’s reaction to his younger soap opera self.

Then, Burton shares the reason the believes Harris is coming back to Salem: “For redemption because of the bad things he did; he wants to make it right.”

What fans recall from Beyond Salem 2, is that Harris was seemingly brainwashed by Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson), who was hoping he would pull the trigger on Hope (Kristian Alfonso) at their wedding.  Instead, it appeared that Hope and Harris developed feelings for each other, or did they?

Now, with the return of Bo (Peter Reckell) and Hope along with Harris in the equation, is the story to bring down Megan Hathaway once and for all? Stay tuned.

Check out the Burton and Kurth conversation below.  Then let us know if you think Harris will help Hope and Bo bring down Megan via the comment section.
