February Fever Rising On The Young and the Restless!

February kicks-off for the number one daytime drama with a steamy promo featuring the hottest characters that currently make their home in Genoa City!
From Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary (Mishael Morgan), Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Stitch (Sean Carrigan), Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Stitch, Dylan (Steve Burton) and Avery (Jessica Collins), Joe (Scott Elrod) and Avery, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil), and ….. Adam/Gabriel (Justin Hartley) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) the series is indicating they are turning up the heat with this mix of old clips and new.

‘Brilliant Minds’ Officially Canceled After 2 Seasons at NBC; DAYS Alum Al Calderon, OLTL Alum Teddy Sears and Zachary Quinto Among the Cast
After languishing on the bubble for months, on Friday, NBC handed down the decision and canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds after two seasons.
Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as neurology physician Oliver Wolf, who’s character and the series is inspired by the life and books of neurologist. Oliver Sacks. The series focuses on the medical mysteries of the mind, as Wolf a larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.
The final six episodes of what will now be the end of its second and final season were already set to air beginning on May 27, after being pulled off the network schedule in February as viewership saw a steep decline. Brilliant Minds second season became the lowest-rated drama on linear TV viewing, which didn’t bode well fo a network renewal, although it had its hard core fan base.

There are some exceptional notables in the cast along with the talented Quinto that includes Days of Our Lives alum, Al Calderon (ex-Javi Hernandez) who joined the series in its second season as Nurse Nico Silva, and One Life to Live alum, Teddy Sears (ex-Chad Bennett) who plays Wolf’s love interest and fellow physician, Dr. Josh Nichols.
The rest of the talented cast includes: Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, and Brian Altemus.
In an ironic twist of fate on Thursday, April 30, Days of Our Lives finally revealed the actor who was Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Javi, when they announced that actor Jacob Martinez had now stepped into the role. Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming new episode, Calderon left in the spring of 2025, but will be seen in the part for the final part this month, and then on June 20, Martinez debuts as Salem’s new Javi.
Taking to his Instagram with a sorrowful and heartfelt post on the Brilliant Minds cancellation was Teddy Sears who wrote, “Thank you, Brilliant Minds. I got the call today and I didn’t want to hear, but I knew that it would come, You have to be a particular vintage to quote Don Henley from memory, but that’s the line that came to mind earlier today after I got off the phone with our inimitable showrunner Michael Grassi who delivered the news that NBC has cancelled the series”.

Sears continued, “To say that I feel sad to be moving on from these stories, this character, and this cast and crew just doesn’t paint the entire picture. I’m sad, sure. But I’m also deeply grateful that I got hired to play this part, so proud of the stories we told, and the other actors I got to play alongside. I’m excited to see what comes next, what adventures await, and terrified to be without a professional home. A quick and heartfelt thank you to everyone, all over the globe, who found us and found themselves in us, in our characters and in our stories. We wouldn’t have been able to tell them without you. And we still have 6 fresh episodes yet to air, and I do hope you tune in enjoy the remainder of the series. They’re the best we’ve done.”
As he wrapped up his sentiments, Sears signed off with, “The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I figured out I have to learn again. I’ve been trying to get down to the heart of the matter. But everything changes…Thank you, Brilliant Minds.”
Calderon took to his Instagram story and simply shared, “Thank You, Brilliant Minds.”
The medical drama was created and executive produced by Michael Grassi alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra.

‘General Hospital’s’ Jonathan Bennett Receives 3 ‘Critics Choice Real TV Awards’ Nominations for Hallmark Series, ‘Finding Mr. Christmas’
Many things are coming up roses for Jonathan Bennett! On the heels of the news that he is set to debut this month in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick on General Hospital, who is rumored to be a new love interest for Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), comes the news that Bennett’s reality series, Finding Mr. Christmas has received 3 nomination for the Critics Choice Real TV Awards.
Bennett’s Hallmark Channel series finds itself in tough competition alongside fellow nominees: RuPaul’s Drag Race (MTV), Squid Game: The Challenge (Netflix), Survivor 50 (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo) and The Traitors (Peacock). In addition, Jonathan himself is nominated for Best Show Host and the series participants as the Best Ensemble Cast in an Unscripted Series.
The Critics Choice Association (CCA) revealed the nominees for the eighth annual Critics Choice Real TV Awards on Thursday, which recognize excellence in nonfiction, unscripted and reality programming across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. Winners will be announced online at CriticsChoice.com on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 9:00am PT/12:00pm ET.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”
In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.
It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.
Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?
On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.
As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.
Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.
BROTHERLY LOVE?
Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”
With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”
BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE
Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

Cane and Lily having another romantic episode. Between their getting a room at the club for some special anniversary or something to making out in the dining room — that’s all this couple does anymore.
I just want Devon and Hilary to explode. So tired of this predictable story line. It has dragged on far too long. They both are disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves. Hilary should just have taken the out that Neil gave her MONTHS ago … before she had carnal knowledge of her son-in-law, but nope, couldn’t do that. She had to go for the big A (adultery that is).
No no I just do not think Chelsea is right for Adam. Adam and Sharon loved each other so very much. I really hate how the writers keep making Sharon be so abused by the Newmans. It is a shame . Sharon is a kind women. Adam loved Sharon and Sharon loved Adam. Nick does not do right by Sharon. Team Shadam 🙂

Sharon and Adam were the best couple I wish the writers remember the love they had. Its Nick who left Sharon pregnant in a mental hospital while Sharon gave birth and became a victim and lost Faith and had to grieve yet another child all alone yet Nick gets custody ! This sucks !
Adam does not tell Chelsea who he really is because he does not trust her. BUT I know Sharon loves Adam enough to keep him safe and keep his secrete. Now the writers should know that history and know Sharon and Adam are a true super couple . Loved them inj the past and will again team Sharon forever! 🙂 Victor and Nikki are sick as hell. Sage has sex, sex, sex written all over her. I also see her with Nick. He is so hot, he looks good with anybody. However, he and Sharon had some of the best bedroom scenes ever….as did oldPhyllis with both Nick and Ronan.

Like when Alex in MR. MOM, while watching Y&R says “… is a skunk.” And that he “gets all the girls.” Then he says “He sure got Nikki.” Well, in this case, Devon is the skunk and he sure got Hillary.
Although I wanted Colin to be Jill’s knight in shining armor, I did like how Cane turned the tables on him with the Bonaventure business card. But I still don’t think Devon will learn from this. He is going to keep schtupping his mother-in-law.

Nice to meet you, Cecilia. Coincidentally, my name is Cecelia (CeeCee). I respect your opinion, albeit nuAdam and Chelsea have not sparked one iota of sexual tension. As I said, oldAdam had great chemistry with Chelsea, but he had better chemistry…rather, he had REMARKABLE chemistry with Sharon. This is a new Adam…the fire between him and Sage is getting hotter by the minute.
I would also like to point out that Justin’s real life girlfriend, CS, is MCE’s (Chelsea) best friend. I know they’re actors and they are playing a part, but it would be so weird for Melissa to be making out, etc. with her best friend’s guy.
Then again, it is a soap….anything can and will happen.

I’d prefer to see Avery paired with a one way ticket out of town — with Joe Clark and the sainted secret cult baby right behind her. The hottest pairing Genoa City could ever hope for would be Edward Scott and Kay Alden returning as executive producer and head writer to get this show back on track.
I’ve been singing this song for awhile now. Kay Alden has been with the show from the 70s and was trained by Bill Bell. Ed Scott added to the mix: you are so right– that is the HOT couple the show needs.

From the clip I dont see any mind blowing story arcs for a sweeps period? This is Charles Pratt’s first sweeps period, I hope he makes it a memorable one. If there are no bombs, boat crashes, building collapsing or coffee houses catching fire, here is what I suggest.
Avery: Sleep with Joe. He really wants you and will not bore you!
Ashley: Grab Victor by his arrogant balls and take him down!
Jack: Run for the hills!
NIck: Quit being an ass and let it go!
Sharon: Like NIck, find someone totally different to fall in love with.
Adam: Take up baking and borrow sugar from Chelsea everyday! Make your move and when Billy accuses you of not being who you say you are, tell him thats like the pot calling the kettle black because you are not Billy Miller!

Also, she is just too sweet to Jack; offering him comfort for the stress he must be feeling. Blah, blah, blah. I liked her better as Dixie Cooney…LOL.

I believe Kelly is so delusional in thinking that Jack really wants her. This notion of hers reinforces my suspicion that she is, indeed, the culprit.
I think I would relish the fact that after all the physical and mental trauma ( let’s not forget emotional) Phyllis has/is experiencing, it would be such poetic justice if Kelly were the one off her rocker. She has been staging everything since she arrived in GC and mainly since Phyllis’s return. We did glean a little of her past…Stitch reminding Kelly of her breakdown in losing both her husband and child. Just a thought!
Its a good story. Kelly has never recovered from her past losses and then theres Jack who gave her hope and now that is gone. Red, she has been in a comma for a year and experimental drugs have brought her back to Jack. So either of these two could be nuts! If I were Jack I would dump them both and I might give Miss Martinez a look see!
I would like to see Dylan get a one way ticket back to Port Charles.

Oh, I hear you. Ya know, I enjoyed her for years on YnR and was a bit upset that she left. But, since I was still watching GH I was kind of okay with it bc I would still see her there. Well, I couldn’t get into that character. And I just did not like her in that character (another reason I have given up on GH). Now I totally like her replacement on YnR and don’t care if she ever comes back.

You know, I’m actually starting to enjoy Y&R more and more. Aside from the Devon, Hilary and Neil triangle, I’m enjoying pretty much all of the other stories. I think Gina Tognoni is doing a great job as Phyllis so far, likewise for Justin Hartley who fits the role of Adam so well. I’m still not a fan of Burgess Jenkins at all, so hopefully they find a suitable recast.
As for Dylan/Avery/Joe, at least the writers are adding some interest to a story and characters that were really boring.
Stitch and Victoria are good together but I like Ashley and Stitch more, and I’m hoping that eventually, when Chelsea and Adam find their way back to each other, Vicky and Billy can do the same.
I’m also really pulling for Michael to beat this cancer, losing him would be another devastating blow to the show. Christian LeBlanc is gold, don’t lose him!
I’m also increasingly starting to like Sage and Nick more than Sharon and Nick, even though I’m sure they will always be the endgame, just like Phyllis and Jack always seem to find their way back to each other.
I also like the idea of Jill trying to take back Chancellor from Victor, I never agreed with the merger of Newman/Chancellor.
My hope for February is that Cane and Lily actually get a story that does not involve Devon/Hilary/Neil, and that the triangle be revealed and ended. Let Devon and Hilary leave Genoa City together, and please, bring back Dru for Neil! My dream would be for Victoria Rowell to return because she was FIRE in that role, but even if she can’t Y&R should go ahead and find a recast; they’ve done it before with Phyllis and Adam, and they’ve both been successes, they can do it again with Dru.
When Debbie Morgon was on…she shouldve played a recast Dru…
Do not count on Sharon and Nick being endgame, not with Pratt at the helm..
I’d bet Pratt could give a hoot about the lackluster or worn out characters..
He will shake it up and outside of that I do not know what he can do with the couples..
Y&R plays, the same 9 or 11 characters , daily..
day after day, week after week, month after month, the same 11 characters on screen-
all one can do is kill them off or recycle the couples for the 10th time..

I do not ‘detest’ Y&R I am ‘disgusted’ with it..
It has become empty of what once made it great..
It has failed the past the year and has become terribly overly campy boring..
I do not dislike all the characters.. Mostly the horrible couples and I FF them..
I like Victor and his dealings and new Adam and Sage the players who have some umph to them and not snorers..
It is Sharon who I can not tolerate and want her killed off and eaten by cannibals..
Pratt will bring some action soon.. I am looking forward to his ideas and putting his stories on my screen.. He will stir things up during the next 3 months..

Joe is going to sleep with Avery and piss a lot of people off and he will end up dead and there will be a murder mystery around this whole thing with Dylan, Victor, and Avery being the three lead suspects.
As for Stitch, he is a horrible character. He ruins scenes with everyone and if the put him with Ashley it will be a disaster!
Adam wants Chelsea back so for now its not worth getting our hopes up.
Kelly Sullivan as Sage is a powerhouse. GH let her go and she will shine so bright at Y&R. Her and Nick our a good couple but I could see down the road some sort of brotherly triangle between Nick and Adam involving either Sage or Sharon.
Wise and sound scenarios, Timmm, except, I don’t see Adam with Chelsea. As you say, for now, this is his mission…to get her back. But, eventually, Adam will come to the realization that what has kept him together; what has been a loyal devotee’ is Sage… True love…never wavering. What say you? LOL.
CeeCee, once he realizes how much of a pill Chelsea is he may rethink Sage and he may have to go through Nicholas to get her. She is ten times hotter than Chelsea. Sometimes it takes a anvil to hit you in the head to wake up and realize what is best for you has always been right in front of you.

What I find pathetic is that these characters are portrayed as having no morals….no integrity. In other words; how does someone sleep with a man/woman who has slept with your father, your mother, your brother, your sister, your child? That is so icky….so lowest of the low.
The worst was when Adam sold his essence/soul to the devil by pretending to be attracted to Rafe and having sex with him. Not only did he abuse the idea of loving someone, but he disrespected and abased someone as good as Rafe, who fell for Adam’s lies, just to satisfy his sadistic and egotistical aspirations.
I truly hope Justin Hartley’s Adam is represented in a more positive light…..but, not with Chelsea….too much baggage. That’s not to say there is no baggage dragging behind Sage, but I feel a genuine attraction between them. I have been wrong many times before, though…LOL.
None of these players are characterized as people who respect their Basic human ethics; beliefs, or their body.

Yeah, Nick has always been one of my faves. But, I must admit, I’m not liking him very much right now. He needs to come down his high Newman horse. I love the chemistry between adam and sage! I have since the beginning. I don’t want adam and chelsea together. Kelly Sullivan (sage) is way sexier for Justin Hartley (adam) who is also wicked sexy! They are a perfect match!! All of those subtle touches while filming that aren’t suppose to happen. Like for example when sage took adam out into the woods to help nick out of the bear trap and they were walking Justin Hartley (adam) was touching kelly Sullivan’s (sage) back and guiding her through the trees and everything. I loved when they first kissed too! That was amazing!! I hope the writers go with it! Adam will decide sage is a power house and want to be with her. There’s nothing between sage and nick. They are forcing those scenes way too much. Sage and Adam all the way!! (Kelly and Justin’s chemistry has shown since the beginning) like when adam comforted sage when Constance died. So sweet 😉 and how they’ve gone from hating each other to being kind and comforting in one scene. I really hope the writers put them together!! Love kelly and Justin as new editions to the young and the restless!!!
