Former Soap Stars, Julianne Moore and Tom Berenger Take Home Emmys! Maggie Smith scores win for Downton Abbey!

Tonight on the just concluded broadcast of the 64th Annual Primetime Emmys on ABC, a few former soap stars and a legend appearing in a juicy nighttime soap took home the gold!
Julianne Moore won for Outstanding Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture for her performance as Sarah Palin in Game Change. This was Moore’s second Emmy of her career, having last won a Daytime Emmy back in 1988 for her roles a Sabrina and Frannie Hughes on As the World Turns.
Tom Berenger, who played Tim Siegel on One Life to Live from 1975-1976, won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Mini Series or Motion Pictures for Hatfields & McCoys.
And for the amazing cast of the British soap opera, Downton Abbey, (which new season will air in January in the U.S) it was legendary Maggie Smith, who won the acting prize for the series with her win for her portrayal of the Dowager Countess in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
In the major categories of the night, Homeland was named Outstanding Drama Series and Modern Family won the prize for Outstanding Comedy Series. What do you think of Moore, Berenger, and Smith’s Emmy win’s? Let us know!

Michael Park Joins the Cast of HBO’s ‘The Time Traveler’s Wife’
Two-time Daytime Emmy winner and former star of As the World Turns Michael Park (Ex-Jack Snyder), has been added to the cast of HBO’s upcoming time travel drama, The Time Traveler’s Wife.
According to Deadline, the series is adapted by former Dr. Who head writer and Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat, The Time Traveler’s Wife tells the intricate love story of Clare (Leslie) and Henry (James), and a marriage with a problem… time travel.
In it, Park will play the role of “Philip Abshire” – Clare’s father, who is said to be a high-powered Chicago lawyer, he is brisk and orderly, and expects all his children to fall into line.
The series also will star former General Hospital and Oscar winner, Jaimie Ray Newman (Ex-Kristina). She won an Academy Award for her Live-Action Short, Skin.

I could care less on who wins at any award shows as i think they are a waste of time watching it
I love Julianne Moore, she has been very under rated. She can act as well as any and better than most. Congrats Julianne!!!!! Well deserved.

Julianne Moore played a very good Sarah Palin (CLUELESS)……….Didn’t know much about politics at all………………………..What a movie…..I saw it….She had no idea what to do….Beringer I like….I started to watch OLTL with my Mom at that time..I remember his part as Tim Siegel….I have seen some of his movies too…Happy them both they deserved to win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was SO in love with “Timmy and Jenny” back in the day, I quit watching OLTL after they killed him off!
