Jason Morgan is on his current farewell tour, and the Thursday, March 12 episode of General Hospital featured emotional scenes with Steve Burton (Jason), Laura Wright (Carly) and Kelly Thiebaud (Britt) as Jason prepares to leave Port Charles with Britt.

As the story unfolds, Jason shows up in Carly’s attic, demanding reassurance that Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) will not hurt Carly and watch out for her while he is gone. During the conversation. Jason informs Valentin that Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is actually Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) partner in this dangerous operation regarding Faison’s final project. With trepidation, Jason acknowledged that working with Valentin was better for Carly than her trying to get Josslyn (Eden McCoy) out of the WSB by herself. Jason then ordered Valentin to keep Carly safe or else! If he didn’t help Carly, he will have no where to hide as Jason levies his threat.

Next, when Carly arrives home, Jason is waiting for her in the kitchen. With sadness, he tells Carly he is leaving town with Britt. As the tears start to well-up in both their eyes, the best friends ask for promises from the other. Carly makes Jason promise he’d come back, and Jason made Carly promise to be smart and listen to Valentin to help her get Josslyn out from under the thumb of the WSB.

Jason feels terribly that he is deserting Carly to try to save Britt. Carly says she understands why he has to leave and promises him she can handle her situation and that it means so much to her that he trusts her to do so with Valentin. Carly asks what Jason was going to tell his son, Danny? Jason admits he is struggling with how much to actually tell him.

Carly offered some advice: to tell his son he doesn’t know when he will be back. She also promises to be there for Danny if he needed anything while he is away. Jason tells Carly he will be back. The two share an emotional hug and tears as their bond through thick and thin is felt deeply by them, as it is always hard for them to say goodbye.

Upstairs in Carly’s attic, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) sneaked in to see Valentin. She tells him what she’d overheard between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Jack (Chris McKenna) at Crimson, now that she’s an intern there. She proposes a plan where she would lie to Nina to throw Jack Brennan off his trail. Valentin is concerned that Charlotte would put herself at risk by passing misinformation on to Nina, so they should stick to the story that she hadn’t heard from her father.

Next, Charlotte admitted she is worried about disappearing on Lulu (Alexa Havins). However, Valentin has a plan that he feels could work out for everyone, and that if he plays his cards right, they wouldn’t need to leave town at all, and they could stay put once and for all in Port Charles.

So, what did you think of Jason’s goodbye scenes with Carly? His feelings that Valentin will have Carly’s back while he is away? Can Valentin be trusted, or is he just using Carly or is it burgeoning love? Share your thoughts via the comment section. But first, check out the key scene between Jason and Valentin below.

I’ve also liked that G H address medical situation cause I think it helps people much

I don’t think there is enough attention being given to Jason’s 16th departure and eventual and certain return to GH.

Exactly Harry. We need more people clutching their pearls and spewing vitriol.

True. And while I’m always happy to see Steve Burton on the screen as Jason, I’m apathetic about his taking some extended family leave. The whole point about an ensemble cast is that the show should not revolve around one character. General Hospital has a talented cast- the soap and the characters from Port Charles will be fine.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Cullum Kidnaps Obrecht as Britt’s Replacement to Finish Faison’s Final Project

Published

WSB director Ross Cullum is truly as despicable villain as they come, and played with steely intensity by Andrew Hawkes. For the double agents latest crime, you need to look no further than the Friday, June 5 cliffhanger of General Hospital, where in the episode’s final moments he sneaks up on an unassuming Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) after hiding in the back seat of her car.

Next, he chloroforms her with his intent clear. He plans on forcing her to finish the last leg of Faison’s final project at Wyndemere, since her daughter Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) left town with Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) in tow to get away from Cullum!

In what led to the kidnapping, Cullum had a terse conversation with his business associate and co-conspirator on the project, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). It is Sidwell who is preoccupied with wanting to bring Marco’s killer to justice (not knowing it’s the man right in front of him!). Sidwell told Cullum if bringing Marco’s killer to justice wasn’t a priority for the WSB director, then why should protecting Cullum be a priority for him?

SIDWELL VS. CULLUM

The two finally put aside their differences as they have to complete Faison’s final project for it will be highly lucrative for them, useful for their mutual gains, and groundbreaking. In order to do that they need a great mind with a scientific background to finish it up and get them to the finish line since Britt as disappeared.

Later, outside of “General Hospital,” Obrecht is headed back to her car after searching Britt’s office for any clues as to the whereabouts of her daughter. But when she got in the car to drive away, that’s when the aforementioned Cullum strikes!

BROOK LYNN GETS ADVICE FROM A FORMER ADULTERESS

In other key developments, after Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) keeps inserting herself into Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) life, all with the seeming pretense to pay back Chase for helping her clear her name at the trial, and standing by her, she brings good news in person about baby Phoebe’s adoption to Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) law office to Chase. Once Brook Lynn heard Chase was on her away over with paperwork, she decided to hightail it out of there for an “emergency” appointment for Deception.

As we come to find out, Brook Lynn meets up with Lucy (Lynn Herring) at the Metro Court pool, She then proceeds to inform Lucy about Willow sniffing around he husband. Lucy says she knows a thing or two about being an adulteress. Brook Lynn wants Lucy to help her send a clear message to Willow to stay away from her husband, or else!

Now below, check out the scenes before Obrecht was kidnapped where she visited Willow, Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) and suspects Willow is up to no good.

Then let us know, with Lucy taking Brook Lynn under her wing, what plot do you think the two will come up with against Willow? What do you think will happen to Obrecht? With Lucas also at Wyndemere trying to bait Sidwell into an attempted murder charge, will he winds up thrown in the secret room with Josslyn?
