That Port Charles scene stealer, Nicolas Bechtel (Spencer Cassadine) can add another role to his growing resume at quite the young age.  Now comes word that GH’s Bechtel is set to co-star in the new Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle!

Variety reported today that the new series will star Jane the Virgin’s Jenna Ortega and the family sitcom marks a move toward Latino-targeted programming for the cable outlet.

The single-cam series is centered around the Diaz family, and is told from the perspective of the middle child, Harley, played by Ortega.  Turns out that Harley is an engineering whiz who uses her inventions to navigate life as the middle child in a large family of seven kids. Harley’s overlooked status proves to be both a blessing and a curse, as she maneuvers her way through the everyday antics that come with being part of a big family.

As for Bechtel he will play the role of Harley’s brother, Danny!  The rest of the kids in the Diaz clan are either familiar faces to the Disney Channel audience or newcomers.

Look for the comedy to make it’s debut in the spring 2016 with production slated to begin this November.

So what do you think about Nicolas’ new TV role?  Looks like the young star may be pulling double duty on GH and Stuck in the Middle.  Share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Hope that GH gets to keep this young actor He is a great talent and it would be a loss for the show

Congratulations Nicolas! I have one condition PLEASE PLEASE Don’t leave Uncle Sonny & my Spencer on #GH. PLEASE

The only way this precocious kid could go is up. How could he not? I always knew there was something very special and magnetic about him….and with a name such as Nicolas….well, there you go! That’s my boy’s name. LOL. There’s a honed, keen intelligence attached to that name. No joke. Bechtel, evident even as a child, has that charming, fascinating and alluring quality that demands attention. He can work that camera ‘everywhichway’….and the viewer. Captivating. I don’t know…..he just does it for me…..I love this kid!
It won’t be long before he gets a role in the big screen.

Disney takes kids and runs them into the ground and hopefully the lucky few rise from the Evil Queen’s ashes and makes a name for themselves..and not tabloid..Disney has been constantly leaning towards a Hispanic lean for many years..we get it..all actors are relevant..we don’t need your saccharine sentiments to prove that point..JMO

Saccharine sentiments? Sorry, but I do not sweeten anything. I call them as I see them. He’s a smart kid and he will go places. I am so sorry if my logic offends you. He’s a sweet kid….all kids are. WOW! Cranky much? LOL.

CeeCee I didn’t realize till I posted that it sounded like the end of my comment was directed at you when it was actually directed at Disney for not taking better care to make sure during a child’s tenure they realize they have to grow up and stop being a Disney kid and be a real adult.

And yes …sometimes just the very word Disney cranks me up to levels of annoyance that drive me to drink…IJK..but it is annoying

No worries. My bad, and I apologize. I did take it with a grain of salt, albeit it was not directed at me. I do not apply sarcasm that well…I always fail in that writing expertise. I guess I will leave that to Shay, Timmm and Harry…..well, you’re up there, as well….and Dylan…LOL.

I think u will see less of him in GH.

He’s a great little actor who’s headed for great things! Disney channel will love him. I just hope we don’t lose him on GH. Best wishes to him!

He’s very talented so it’s not a surprise that Disney recognized it and cast him in a series. As long as he can still be on GH I’m fine with it and wish him the best. He’s comedy relief on GH would hate to lose him!

Stuck in the Middle…The Middle…Malcom in the Middle…sound all the same to me…lol…CONGRATS TO Nicky!!!

I really hope they don’t SORAS Spencer yet! There’s still some more storylines they can do with the kid! Also, I really hope they won’t do what they did with Michael, have Spencer shot and aged while he’s in a coma!

Well I hope he gets to still do GH since the recent news is that the new writers plan to cut down on the kid storylines. He does ET with Mario Lopez occasionally. He’s adorable and a great little actor. At first I disliked his character (because he is that good an actor) but then Soencer grew on me.

I loved him on GH, but i’m ready for the kiddies to be SORASed: Emma, Joss, Spencer, Cameron.

In a family of 7 kids, Bechtel will need to continue his scene stealing in order to be seen!

I’m sure it’s great for this actor’s resume, but these Disney channel kids’ shows are so nauseating and predictable with annoying, precocious, overacting children. You can’t expect many GH viewers to follow Bechtel there.

I AGREE 100% ON WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT THE DISNEY CHANNEL AND DO NOT WANT MY GRANDSON TO WATCH THESE OVERACTING ANNOYING KIDS.

BECHTEL IS A GREAT LITTLE ACTOR AND HAS MANY MOVIE ROLES IN HIS FUTURE…..KEEP HIM OFF DISNEY

Thanks for the support, JUDY! I agree with you that Bechtel is a “great little actor” and would be better suited to other projects.

Not surprising, he’s a very talented young actor. I hope we still get to see a lot of him on GH, he’s such a bright light on the show.

I hope he does very well. Congrats little man and knock em out with your great skills. Don’t forget us though, as we will be watching your career. XXXOOOs.

He is definitely a good little actor. Hope he does both roles because sure would miss him as Spenser.

Congrats to him! What an absolutely adorable, charming, natural young actor. He embodies lil Spencer and seems to have an innate ability to understand his character. I adore his scenes; he’s the epitome of lovable.

Congratulations to Nicholas! Selfishly, I hope that does’t mean we’ll no longer see him on GH. I love Spencer and his interaction with his father and Emma…well, everyone. The kid is terrific!

I think it’s wonderful this kid can act n seems so above his age n time n GH is wonderful but kid actors do grow so quick n their roles it be good balance n keep him a kid little longer. Wtg kid

Love him as Spencer on GH and congratulations for his new role in this Disney series Stuck in the, Middle, all my best and love for this young talented young man♡♡♡

There a saying if you can’t say anything good specially about a child then don’t say anything at all !!!

I doubt that we’ll see very much of him on GENERAL HOSPITAL since he’ll be tied up shooting this new series. Congratulations to him.

Luuv Luuv Luuv Spencer’s character. I am so very proud of him and plus he deserves more of a challenge than what GH is limiting him to. He is small bundle of talent ready to take over the main screen with his creativity, quirkiness, unique delivery, no wonder somebody else picked him up. Good job Bechtel Lands! I’ll be watching!

1st Day back to school speaks for itself……You can’t teach that! Timing is everything!

Happy for the little actor. I wish him well and the show good luck. I hope GH decides to recast and age Spencer. The shtick got old months ago.

I’m happy for Nicolas but a little scared that this will lead to him leaving GH. As Spencer he is nothing short of phenomenal. He’s totally adorable and can steal a scene from any of the vets or carry a scene all by himself. I’ve also been afraid the show would decide to SORAS Spencer, which would be terribly disappointing.

Lane Davies Joins the Cast of General Hospital Setting up a ‘Santa Barbara’ Reunion with Nancy Lee Grahn

Some very intriguing casting news out of General Hospital. The ABC daytime drama has cast former Santa Barbara favorite, Lane Davies (ex-Mason Capwell), in the role of Fergus Byrne, an attorney who crosses paths with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

According to TV Insider, Davies will make debut the week of May 22nd.  As soap fans know, together with the aforementioned Grahn, they created the Santa Barbara supercouple of Mason and Julia Wainwright. Davies portrayed Mason Capwell family from 1984 through 1989.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time in Port Charles for Lane. From 2002-2004 he played Dr. Cameron Lewis and also shared on-screen story with Grahn.  At that time Davies, played Xander Smith’s father.

GH fans are wondering about the last name of Davies new character, “Bryne”. If you recall, Alexis got herself involved with therapist Dr. Neil Bryne, who died when Harmony broke into Alexis‘ house and killed Neil by injecting him with opioids.

Taking to her Instagram, Grahn shared her excitement at the upcoming on-screen reunion with Davies, “It never gets old. We do 😂…. but it doesn’t 😍. Lookin’ forward to another romp.”

So, what do you think about Lane Davies returning to GH to play an attorney in Alexis’ orbit? Share your thoughts via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Nikolas Gets an Earful from Ava About Sonny and His Meds; Nina and Drew Can’t Seem to Resist Each Other

Ava (Maura West) seems to feel she has a confidante in a jailed Nikolas (Adam Huss) on the Monday, April 29th episode of General Hospital. In story, Ava heads to Pentonville to visit her ex-husband before he is set to get transferred out of state.

When discussing her living relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard), which Nikolas already knew about, Ava says she is happy about how her relationship with Sonny has been evolving, Nikolas ask if she’s in love with Sonny. Ava denies it, but goes on to say how great it is for her daughter, Avery to be living with both her parents, who are on the same side and not at odds.

Nikolas believes that Ava loves being in Sonny’s inner sanctum and the power that comes with it. Ava fires back that she spent years looking in from the outside and that everyone despised her. When Nikolas brings up Nina (Cynthia Watros), she says Nina never really could understand the true type of man that Sonny is.

Then, Ava launches in on Carly (Laura Wright), and how she would love to stick it to her, for all the times she blocked Ava from seeing her child and Carly’s attitude towards her. Then, Ava admits to Nikolas that she knows that Sonny has a watered-down version of his bipolar medication, which is making him more vulnerable and she’s capitalizing on it for her own gain. She says she needs to figure out who is responsible, but Nikolas voices concern for Ava’s plan and that if Sonny ever found out she knew about it and did nothing, he would be on the warpath against her. Ava promises she knows what she’s doing. When she says goodbye to Nikolas, he looks upset and sad, as he still seemingly cares for Ava.

Meanwhile in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) office, Nina walks in complaining about Carly giving her a hard time about maintenance in her office. Nina wants payback for Jason (Steve Burton) buying Carly the hotel, but Drew is not up for playing games with her.  She says they both want revenge on Jason and Carly, which Drew denies. Next thing you know, Nina grabs Drew and kisses him. Although, it seems he might walk out the door and away from her, he locks it, and the two proceed to have round 2 of their hate-sex.

Elsewhere, Anna tells Jason about her shooting Charlotte and her concern about Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) involvement with Pikeman. Meanwhile, Valentin visits Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) in Pentonville, where threats are laid out to make Sonny look like the guilty party in eliminating Jason, while Anna is the line of fire, if she doesn’t keep her nose out of Pikeman business, which worries Valentin, who doesn’t want Anna getting hurt in any of this.

So, what do you think about Ava’s plans? Did you like seeing Nikolas back on the canvas? Are you all for a Drew/Nina continued affair? Will Anna get caught in the crossfire only to be saved by Valentin? Share your thoughts and theories via the comment section below.

Former General Hospital actress, Haley Pullos (ex-Molly Lansing-Davis) is going to be doing time in jail, exactly one-year after her arrest from a hit and run wrong-way car collision.

The crash resulted in bodily harm and damages to the other driver, and now Pullos who pleaded “no contest” to the charges and will serve 90 days in jail. She was taken in custody on Monday, April 29th, after the ruling.

According to TMZ, the plea deal for Pullos has the “no contest” to one DUI, while the judge dropped the felony DUI causing bodily injury and misdemeanor hit and run charges.

Melnick said in a statement to PEOPLE, “Haley is very grateful to the court for a minimum sentence and for recognizing her remorse and the strides she has made in her sobriety.”

Back in April 29 of 2023, and at the scene of the crash, the police found edibles and mini-bottles of tequila in Pullos’ vehicle and that she was intoxicated. As it turned out, this was to be the second hit and run in the evening for Pullos who had an earlier collision with another car.

The courts decision follows a year-long legal battle with Haley’s pleas changing throughout it, ranging from “not guilty” to “no contest”. She sought treatment for her drinking at a rehab following the crash.

Nancy Lee Grahn, who portrayed Pullos’ on-screen mom took to X on Monday night, April 29th and shared on the sentence and the specific jail, Haley will be serving time: “As Haley’s TV mom I can tell some truths about her as I’ve loved her since she was little girl. She made a HUGE mistake, knows it, owns it & has spent the last yr doing EVERYTHING imaginable to take responsibility 4 it. It’s not that I oppose jail. It’s that I oppose this jail.” The jail in question by Grahn is the L.A. county jail.

So, what do you think about Haley Pullos serving a 90-days jail sentence, and the other rulings that will be part of her sentencing? Comment below.
