GH’s Réal Andrews on Taggert’s Fallout After Trina’s DNA Test Results: “His Whole Past Is Unraveling In Front of Him”
If you thought the scene where a devastated Taggert breaks down in the General Hospital elevator was heartbreaking … just wait! There’s more to the story!
This week on the ABC daytime drama series, upcoming previews indicated that the always stoic Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) is really struggling with more than just over the results of the DNA tests that proved Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is actually the biological daughter of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), not him.
According to Soap Opera Digest (in their latest issue on newsstands now), Taggert will go on a bender and wind up talking it all out with none other than Jordan (Tanisha Harper).

Réal Andrews told SOD on the scenes: “Tagger is always so stoic. He’s always been that tough guy that doesn’t really show emotions. but here, you’re going to see 27 years of pent-up emotions come unraveled. He’s spiraling and the alcohol is obviously a part of it. And when he’s talking about what he’s going through, he’s triggered, you know? His whole past is unraveling in front of him, right down to why his marriage failed. He’s having to face, for the first time, that he’s responsible for most of it,”
The actor also reports that following the scenes, the crew gave him a standing ovation sharing, “I was so humbled. It was very touching.”
So, GH fans get your hankies ready! This ought to be one of those moments that will forever tug at your heartstrings.

If that AIN’T the pot calling the Kettle a name. Portia cheated on Taggert with Curtis while she was married and supposedly got pregnant with Curyid child. When she met Curtis again, he was married this time to Jordan but that didn’t stop her from interfering in his marriage before having sex with him. GRANTED BOTH OF THEM SHOULD HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE DIVORCE HAD BEEN FINALIZED ALL THOSE MONTHS JORDAN WAS IN A COMA BUT they didn’t!!

I believe that Taggert is really Trinas biological father. Selena Wu doctored the tests results to make Curtis the father. Why because she knew he got an offer from the WSB if it turned out that trina wasnt curtis daughter he would most likely take the wsb up on their offer and Curtis might close down his club and Selena Wu wouldnt be able to have access to curtis back room to conduct her gambling ring among other things with Wu you never know. Remember i said this.
I just want this story line ended but now am thinking the test was manipulated by the mob lady and so we will have months more of this story line with Taggert’s unraveling!

Taggert needs to get Trina’ s DNA some how and his and keep quiet that he is doing it. Run it thru the PCPD lab. Doing it quietly. I feel Selina Wu altered the lab report between Curtis and Trina to hold it over Curtis’ head. So she can keep her back room Poker games going at the Savoy.

I don’t know why but, when the other girl was playing Trina, I for some reason though she was Curtis’s daughter. Marcus is a good guy but,if Trina is Curtis’s daughter then it should be left at that. Trina said, Marcus as she knows and thought was going to be her Dad. There’s nothing wrong with Trina having two Dads. It’ll all work out.
Well the ancestry DNA test that Trina and Curtis’s aunt took did place them as close relatives. I feel for Taggert, and Jordan is the right person to share his grievances.
I would hate for Trina to also spiral out, especially since it seems that Portia would continue to be dishonest to get her own way. I believe that Trina should stay Taggert daughter but good old mamma dearest should evaporate completely. I love Spencer and Trina together as well as Jordan with Curtis but, he need a lesson in treating Jordan right. SO it’s cosmic justice if Jordan and Portia brother hook up for awhile before all her lies to keep Curtis catches up and ends his romance with Jordan as well.
They need to make it that Portia rigged the results to make it look like Curtis is Trina’s read dad, just so she can get back together with him. Figuring that Taggart would be able to handle it but he can’t. now that would be a great story, then taggert discovers the real truth and hell breaks out, Curtis leaves and Taggert leaves…..
So now it looks like Taggert could be the new police commissioner, now that Jordan’s getting kicked upstairs to be Laura’s deputy mayor.
While the gig might be good fit for him under normal circumstances, something tells me it’s not going to go well, if he takes on that kind of responsibility while in the middle of a personal meltdown.

GENERAL HOSPITAL Preview: Serena Sets Her Sights on Michael; Jason’s Emotional Exit from the Mob
This week on all-new episodes of General Hospital, new and old motivations come into play with dangerous consequences. According to the just released GH video spoilers video for the week of August 3-7, a bailiff calls out, “All rise!”
Now it’s Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) vs. Curtis (Donnell Turner), as the surgeon is suing the owner of the Savoy for assault that ruined is ability to operate. At the end of the day, which of these men has enough evidence against the other? Portia (Brook Kerr) is by Isaiah’s side, while Jordan (Tanisha Harper) is with Curtis.
Next, Lucy (Lynn Herring) has a plan to get the controlling shares of Deception away from Michael (Rory Gibson). She wants her daughter, Serena (Kelly Kruger) to seduce Michael. She tells her, “Pick out your most seductive suit.” Soon, we see Serena in her bathing suit at the Metro Court face to face with Michael.
Later, there is a small baggie containing three blue pills. Nina (Cynthia Watros) ask Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), “What did you do?” We also see Michael asking the same thing of Jacinda (Paige Herschell). Leading into this week, viewers know that Willow doesn’t want the former escort anywhere near her children, Amelia and Wiley. Is this how she stops her, or is Jacinda up to old tricks and wants to frame Willow? Remember when Jacindsa drugged Drew (Cameron Mathison)? Stay tuned.
Finally, in the pick-up from last Friday’s cliffhanger, an emotional Jason (Steve Burton) continues to tell Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he cannot work for him anymore. Sonny ask, “So that’s it? You’re Out?” We fade to black.

Vincent Pastore of ‘Sopranos’ Fame and ‘General Hospital’s’ Maximus Giambetti Dies at 80
Vincent Pastore, best known for his memorable role as Salvatore “Big Pussy” Bonpensiero on HBO’s The Sopranos has passed away.
The veteran actor was found dead on August 1st in his home in the Bronx, New York. Pastore was 80-years-old. The cause of death is yet to be determined.
As well as his role on The Sopranos, many soap fans will recall he played multiple smaller roles on the beloved One Life to Live from 1995 and 2004. However, in 2008, he landed the short-term role as Maximus Giambetti on General Hospital.
PASTORE WANTED TO BE ON GENERAL HOSPITAL
Maximus was the mobster father of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bodyguards: Max (Derk Cheetwood) and Milo (Drew Cheetwood)
According to Soap Opera Digest, Pastore told Soaps In Depth back in 2009, after appearing in a SOAPnet promotional campaign as a celebrity fan of General Hospital: “‘I’d love to be on the show. So they called up GH’s casting director (Mark Teschner) and Bobby (Robert Guza Jr. ex-head writer, GH) and they wrote me in!”
Pastore was a huge General Hospital fan from way back, who at one point told producers that he would watch the ABC soap opera while working in bars and nightclubs in the 70s and 80s.
Throughout his decades long career, Pastore appeared in films including: Goodfellas, Carlito’s Way and Men of Respect, The Jerky Boys: The Movie and the 1996 HBO TV movie Gotti.
In TV, besides The Sopranos, Pastore’s credits included: Law & Order, The Practice, Son of the Beach, Queens Supreme, Hawaii Five-0, Wu-Tang: An American Saga, plus the miniseries The Last Don II. Most recently, Vincent was a series regular on Gravesend and guest starred on Yellowjackets.
Pastore is survived by his daughter, Renee, son-in-law and granddaughter.
