Heather Locklear In Stable Condition After Possible Overdose

The news cycle in the last 24 hours has featured multiple reports on former Melrose Place and Dynasty star, Heather Locklear.  However as of this morning, the actress is said to be in stable condition after being hospitalized for a possible overdose attempt.

On Monday afternoon, paramedics and the police were called to her Thousands Oaks, California home.  EMTs then requested back up from the Sheriff’s Dept. after getting an “overdose” call.

Less than 24 hours earlier, emergency response teams were at Locklear’s home where she was arrested for kicking an EMT and punching a police officer Sunday night. She posted $20,000 bail Monday morning, and returned home where this next incident occurred..

A source told US: “Heather is currently stable, She didn’t want to leave her home (Monday) afternoon to get further treatment that she had agreed to get earlier in the day. Authorities were called when Heather said she had taken prescription medication and there were concerns she had taken more than she had been prescribed. The family is asking for privacy at this time.”

This is just so sad. I have always been a fan of Heather Locklear’s. She is so beautiful and talented, and this recent series of events is so upsetting. Her poor parents, and her daughter, she must be heartbroken. I hope that Heather is receptive to the help that is offered to her.

She needs to be kept in a medical facility. Letting her post bail puts her, her family and law enforcement in possible critical danger.

Heather is an addict/alcoholic and has been for years. When under the influence she exhibits symptoms of a mental health issue. During her periods of sobriety
these issues are not apparent. Long term treatment would help her uncover and resolve issues that cause her to numb the pain with a substance. Hard to know what each person’s bottom is. I hope she finds hers soon.

After the recent suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain, I hope this is the last time we hear that she is NOT getting the proper care. How many times can you assault police officers, your parents, violent outbursts, etc., before someone realizes she needs to be put in a psychiatric ward before she becomes another suicide statistic? We are cheering for you, Heather. Now go get the help you need!

This is very sad news. I hope she gets the help she needs. I don’t know what happened to her.

I was watching some old clips of “Dynasty” on YouTube and WOW! Now, that was some juicy and spicy storytelling for the early 80’s, and Heather was incredible as Sammy-Jo. I hope that she is able to reclaim her career, after she gets the help and support that she needs. She is incredibly gifted and talented.
