GENERAL HOSPITAL: Zeke to Jordan on His Arrival Back in Port Charles: “This Place Is Looking Better By The Minute”

As many had predicted, it turned out that Portia’s (Brook Kerr) brother, Zeke (Gavin Houston) did pick-up and promptly hit the sheets with Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) ex-wife, PCPD commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper). It all happened on Tuesday’s episode of General Hospital.

Jordan, who was already reeling and trying to get over Curtis, after he went back to Portia, is having a drink at the Metro Court pool. She meets a handsome man at the bar.  The guy happens to be Zeke.  That’s ‘Zeke’ as in Portia’s brother, who is back in town.

Zeke introduces himself to Jordan. At first, she is a bit dismissive. However, she quickly realizes her mood is her own doing when she admits to kissing her ex, who then went back to his wife.

As she looks at Zeke, Jordan says she is not wasting another minute on her former flame and offers to buy Zeke a drink.  When Jordan asks where he’s from, Zeke shares that he’s new to Port Charles, and adds, “The place is starting to look better by the minute.”

What followed … and quickly … was Zeke and Jordan heading to his hotel room for a night of steamy passion.  We also see that Jordan took off her ring when a pool boy found it when he cleaned up the bar.

So, what do you think will be the fallout when Jordan learns Zeke is Portia’s brother? Are you all-in for a Jordan/Zeke romance? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

General Hospital’s Réal Andrews and Finola Hughes Deliver the ‘Power Performances of the Week’

Two different storylines, two noteworthy performances, and both from General Hospital, made our weekly kudofest.  The first, belongs to the heartbreaking performance that still has everyone talking by Réal Andrews as Marcus Taggert.

Last week’s episodes of GH, brought with it the results of the DNA test that ‘proves’ just who is Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) biological father, Taggert or Curtis (Donnell Turner)? When Trina opened the envelope to reveal the answer in front of Portia, Curtis and Taggert, she announced it was Curtis, who was her dad.

However, if you watched the scenes carefully, you saw the subtle work by Andrews as he was attempting to remain calm before receiving the answer and what followed afterwards, but that was in front of Trina, Portia and Curtis and his attempt to put on a brave face through it all.  In reality, Taggert was devastated by the news.  When he said his goodbyes, Taggert got inside the GH elevator.  Once there, he lost it and began to cry, punching the elevators walls with his fist.  A five-hank

Meanwhile, Finola Hughes once again showed us the layers and the veracity of Anna Devane. This time, while at WSB headquarters, Anna’s past as a double agent comes to light.  Agent Hersley had her under arrest, as she is being accused of treason against the state.

While Anna’s past as a DBX double agent were known to the agency, they weren’t known to the public. Thanks to Victor’s will reading and the revenge plot he set in motion against her, now Anna is up against more formidable foes.  When speaking with her lawyer, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight), Anna says how can she dispute the charges against her when they are true?  She realizes in this instant that the WSB wants to hang her out to dry to cover their own asses.  Hersley threatens Anna, that if she fights the charges, they will be forced into looking into the actions of her associates, Robert Scorpio and Annie Donnelly.

Not having it, Anna throws down saying she will seriously embarrass the WSB if they pursue this … and if anything happens to Robert, Annie or anyone else she cares about, she will take the bureau down with her.  After Hersley caves, Martin asks Anna what happened. Anna states she is no longer an agent and will never be again.

This material gave the mighty Hughes the material to shine, as Anna went from having the rug pulled out from under her, to fighting back, to now not knowing what her future holds after saving others.

For all the reasons cited above, Michael Fairman TV names the work of Réal Andrews and Finola Hughes as last week’s ‘Power Performances of the Week”.

Do you agree with our picks of GH’s Réal and Finola? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below, but first check out some clips from their work below.

WWE Friday Night Smackdown: Roman Reigns Discards Jimmy Uso From The ‘Bloodline’, Will Jey Be Next?

While Roman Reigns was presented with a new WWE Universal Championship belt courtesy of Triple H, a night of familial drama would ensue for The Bloodline on Friday Night Smackdown.

Last night’s episode was also pivotal to Reigns enduring run as the kingpin of the WWE. The Tribal Chief has now held the championship for over 1,000 days. The last time any wrestler approached that was 40 years ago with the legendary Pedro Morales.

After Reigns was presented with a shiny new belt (that Triple H secured around Roman’s waist), out came the Usos. Earlier in the night, Reigns’ special counsel, Paul Heyman, told Solo Sikoa that he received confirmation from WWE official Adam Pearce that Sikoa’s brothers (the Usos) would not be in attendance.  Well, he heard wrong!

As Reigns was about to address the crowd, the music hit and standing in front of the champ were Jimmy and Jey.  Now, the storyline that has captivated the WWE Universe could move forward.  When we last saw the Usos and Reigns in the ring, it was at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.  It was there that Jimmy Uso kicked Roman in the head, after his cousin roughed him up and pushed him around.

This time, Jimmy and Roman had a long staredown. Finally, The Tribal Chief ordered Jey Uso to kick his brother in the face. Reigns continually barked orders at Jey, but Jey refused to comply.  When Jimmy got on the mic, he let Reigns know that he has become manipulative and abusive. He warned his younger brother, Solo, that he would go down in flames once Roman was done using him, too.

Next, Reigns handed the mic to Solo and told him to choose sides … the Tribal Chief or his brothers? At first, Sikoa ‘acknowledged’ Reigns, but then in a major moment walked over to stand beside his brothers, leaving Roman all alone on his “Island of Relevancy”.

In an effort to keep the peace, Jimmy Uso asked Reigns if he could move forward with respect for every one of them.  Jimmy told Roman that he is their brother, too, in an effort to put what’s happened in the past behind them. Could he do that?  Now with tears in his eyes, and seemingly conflicted, Reigns moved in for big embrace for Jimmy.  However, it was all a set-up. Roman said “no’ and out of the corner of his eye signaled Sikoa who was also in on the double cross. Solo gave the Samoan Spike to Jimmy who went down as Jey looked on and went to help his brother.

As Roman left the ring with Heyman and Sikoa by his side, Reigns’ special council asked him, “What about Jey?” A confident Reigns said that Jey would fall in line, as per usual.

You could not have found better soap opera on any channel than this story right here! The dissolution of the ‘Bloodline’ has to be near.

What will happen next? Will it be the Usos vs. Roman and Sikoa? Will Jey or Jimmy challenge Reigns for the championship? Who will swerve who next? Share your thoughts in the comment section, but first check out the highlights from the ‘Bloodline’s’ story from last night’s ‘Smackdown’ below.
