In another shocker from General Hospital, according to Soap Opera Digest, the former Bold and the Beautiful star, Ronn Moss, has signed on to appear on the ABC soap opera and will begin to air this week!
UPDATED: This afternoon On-Air On-Soaps learned that Moss is making an appearance on GH. As to how long he will actually be on the soap, a representative had no comment at this time.
Moss, for over 25 years played the central role of B&B’s Ridge Forrester. Since departing the series a few years ago, Moss has concentrated on other projects including his music and recently also filmed episodes of Gregori J. Martin’s web series, The Bay.
No further word on what role Moss he will play in Port Charles, or further details at this time, but we will have updates on this story throughout the day as it warrants.
What do you think of this shocker? Moss to GH? Who will he play? Is he going to sing at the Nurses Ball? Or, is it completely unrelated? Weigh-in!

‘General Hospital’s’ Steve Burton Shares Reaction to His Lead Actor Daytime Emmy Nomination, ‘It Was to Honor Leslie Charleson’

The 53rd Annual Daytime Emmy Award nominations kicked-off on Monday with the announcements of four major categories including, Outstanding Lead Performer in a Daytime Drama Series — Actor, and among the nominees is General Hospital’s Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).
Burton is already a two-time Daytime Emmy winner in the Supporting Actor category for his roles as GH’s Jason and his turn as Dylan McAvoy on Y&R. However, Steve is yet to win in the Lead Actor category and he has received 11 nominations along the way in his daytime career.
Following the reveal that he is a 2026 Daytime Emmy nominee, he and his GH co-star, podcast co-host and comedy show partner, Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) taped a special edition of their That’s Awesome podcast just featuring Burton’s reaction to the news.

Photo: JPI
FOR LESLIE CHARLESON
Steve expressed, “I know it’s such a cliche to say, ‘I’m just so honored to be nominated.’ But truly, I’m so grateful to be nominated, so grateful to just be on the show off and on for 30 plus years and to be nominated with the guys in my category. Just to get the opportunity. Frank (Valentini, executive producer, GH) texted me right away. I was just like, ‘Thank you for the opportunity to get to do what I do.'”
Taking in the moment, Burton thanked those who helped him select the material for his nominated reel. “Unless you win, you don’t get to say things. So. I’m going just say a few things: Elizabeth Korte (co-head writer, GH) helped me a lot with the material, (as did) Michelle Henry, who’s a producer on the show, Laura Wright (Carly, GH), and then my wife Michelle (Lundstrom). I believe it was Jill Phelps who told me that when A Martinez felt like he had a great show or great scenes, he would mark it down. So, when Emmy time comes, you have all the show numbers written down, and you don’t have to think about it, because that’s half the battle (finding the material).
Burton explained how meaningful this nomination is for him, because of playing the scenes of Jason losing Monica, and his closeness with the late, great Leslie Charleson.
“The nomination’s an amazing thing, and it’s beautiful, but really it’s to honor Leslie Charleson. A lot of my material was because of her, and how I started on the show as a Quartermaine, it just means a ton,” shared Burton. “Maurice Benard (Sonny, GH) has obviously has been instrumental, and I’ve said it from day one and I’ll shout it from the rooftops. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here, and to be working with the people that we work with is incredible.”

SHOULD JOHN OLIVER BE NAMED HOST OF THE DAYTIME EMMYS?
During the end of his conversation with Anderson, Steve suggested that the host of the Daytime Emmy should be Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver, who recently guest starred as the head of the WSB named Z on General Hospital, and is soon to show up on Days of Our Lives in a mystery role in August.
Thus far, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has not revealed their host for the upcoming ceremony to be held on October 30 in a venue to be named in Hollywood, California.
You can watch Steve sharing his reaction to receiving his 2026 Lead Actor Daytime Emmy nomination below on a special segment on the That’s Awesome podcast.
Now let us know, are you glad that Steve chose scenes surrounding Jason mourning the loss of the woman that raised him, Monica Quartermaine for his Emmy reel? What do you think of John Oliver as a suggestion to host the Daytime Emmys? Weigh-in via the comment section below.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Jason Reconnects with Danny; Tristan Roberts Arrives in Port Charles, Lots of Nods to #16

General Hospital’s 16,000th episode was packed with little reminders through points in today’s script that the ABC daytime drama series has set another milestone and it paved the way for the return of fan favorite and newly nominated Daytime Emmy Lead Actor nominee Steve Burton (Jason Morgan). The 16,000th episode also introduced viewers to the new surgeon in Port Charles Dr. Tristan Roberts played by Dean Geyer.
Here are the key takeaways and what went down on the July 13 episode: Tristan and Jason are seated next to each other on a plane heading to Port Charles. Throughout the flight, a beaten up Jason has flashbacks to being thrown into, and being held captive in a cell and tortured. It appears Jason is suffering from some form of PTSD from what he was put through after being dragged out of Port Charles by the WSB months ago.
As the plane prepares to land, Tristan tells Jason there would be a car waiting for him once they land and to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, Tristan arrives at the nurses and doctors hub at GH and approaches Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He tells her his name and that he is the new surgeon on staff.

A REUNION PLUS A HEAD NURSE DEFENDS SONNY
Meanwhile, at the end of the episode, Jason is outside the Quartermaine boathouse looking bewildered when he runs into Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who is so thrilled to see his father, and the two hugs each other as tears are shed.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth tells Sonny (Maurice Benard) that he thinks its a great idea for him to get the 16th seat on the hospital board, but when it comes times to convince Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) of that, things go awry when Tracy, Laura and Sonny try to work things out. After Tracy launches into Sonny about killing Alan and Monica’s son AJ, Sonny walks away dejected.
Next, Sonny runs into Elizabeth, where he informs her what happened with Tracy. So what’s a head nurse to do? Elizabeth marches into the conference room and reminds Tracy of all the different donations and ways Sonny has contributed to the hospital from the Stone Cates AIDS wing, to the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries as well as his constant support each year for the GH Nurses’ Ball.

WSB WAR SCARS
Then, in one of the best parts for longtime fans of the series, Elizabeth talks about her legendary grandparents, Audrey and Steve Hardy and she tells Tracy they would have wanted Sonny to have a seat on the board for all the good that he has done for the hospital. After Elizabeth states Sonny’s case, things took a turn and Tracy and Sonny wound up shaking hands as Sonny is board member #16.
In the how great was it to see Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) together scenes department, the pick-up of last Friday’s cliffhanger is played out as the two former lovers fill each other in on what has gone down in their lives in the last several months including Valentin admitting he had been living in Carly’s attic, and Anna realizing she was kidnapped by Cullum, Sidwell and Cassius Faison. During their conversation, Anna sees the hallucination of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) right while Valentin is standing there.

Courtesy/ABC
Later Anna was on her way to saying goodbye to Valentin, when the two share an emotional hug. After Valentin made his exit, Peter reappeared and warned Anna to not let Valentin distract her because she has important work to do. Anna answers, “I know.”
So, what did you think of General Hospital’s 16,000 episode? What do you think is wrong with Jason? What is the important “work” that Anna has to do? Were you glad to see Sonny get a seat on the hospital board, or not so much. Weigh-in via the comment section. But first, check out the scenes on Jason and Tristan’s long flight to Port Charles.

I honestly don’t know what to think of this……………….
NOOOOOOOOO,
I want more of our veteran GH actors, not more new characters!
Agree! GH has plenty of great actors and characters. We don’t need anymore CBS cast-offs.
Toatally agree Natalie Instead of adding all these new characters I wish they would have just kept ones on like Connie, AJ, Johnny Z, Spinelli, ones like that 🙂
ITA! I’m getting fed up!
Ugh! First Michelle Stafford and now Ron Moss! Please, make it stop.
totally agree!!!
I agree!
Maybe they’re spinning half the characters off to a new soap.
They can name the spinoff “All My Children Have One Life to Live”.
LMFAO!!!
you will regret saying that about Michelle. I am sick of newbies, as well but this lady, if she stays around will win you over. She can act! GH has brought in some real cardboard actors in the past year but Ms. Stafford will tear the house down!
I agree, Michelle Stafford is an excellent actress! She will only make GH better if she stays around long enough! Wish she would return to Y&R though!
It’s not the same without Phyllis!
I loved her as Phyllis and wish she was returning to Y&R but I really don’t care if they bring on Meryl Streep, the GH cast is so bloated its ridiculous. Vets disappear for weeks sometimes months at a time yet they keep bringing on newbies and not just random new characters who support those vets but instead its GH vets who wind up supporting them and getting scraps. I watch every day but I am really getting fed up. Its not about Michelle Stafford its just that its TOO MUCH and now Ron Moss…really GH??
I don’t know what to think about this but considering that he’s going to start airing this week i’m surprised they were able to keep it quiet. His character may have something to do with the Nurse’s Ball and only be on for a few episodes.
That was my thinking as well – that he will be on for the Nurse’s Ball, and probably only for a few episodes.
I could see him playing opposite Lucy as a difficult choreographer or something comedic like that.
he is a musician so maybe he is just there as a difficult singer butting heads with Lucy.
The article doesn’t state if he is on contract on just a temp role on for few airings– so it is hard to react to the news. If he is contract then this latest addition just might be the straw that breaks the camels back for long time viewers, fed up with newbies. If he is a recast of known character they might be more forgiving. If he is only on for a short stay then it might lure some fans from his B&B days to check out GH, which could help the show without losing long term viewers in the process. So I guess how this goes depends who is he playing and for how long will he be playing him.
I could see him playing Dr. Jeff Webber what do you think?
He should play Jeff Webber or Jimmy Lee Holt…at least a character we are familiar with who has history and ties to the show…or maybe he is the doctor taking care of Nina…Dr. Jeff Webber taking care of Nina? I think PP was right when they claimed ABC was trying to create a mega soap…The Titanic of soaps!!! And if this keeps up with the constant newbies it too will end in disaster!!!
Was there a passenger limit for the Titanic? At the rate GH is adding new characters, I would not be surprised to see Chaz Bono! LOL!!!
Nice analysis, Mary. 🙂
4EverDAYS! Shhhh……don’t give Ron any ideas. I could also seem him casting Cher as Dr. O’s and Madeline’s sister. Love this stunt casting!
I agree with this being the straw that breaks the camel’s back if he is on contract. However, as I state below, I think he is performing at the NB in a reunion of Player
That sounds like a reasonable conclusion and one that would make sense.
Player featuring John Stamos and Rick Springfield….
Rumor is he is going to play Blackie Parish.
Awesome! Getting some of the heavy hitters!
ron moss a heavy hitter, you’ve got to be kidding? should we add david hasselhof and pamela aderson then?
He is a Big name in the Soap World. After losing two of my favorite soaps a few years ago, OLTL and AMC, I welcome any familiar face to the Soap World.
Well, I guess we know now what is happening…. every member of the focus group they are using to gauge the reactions to the plot points and new character lineup are exclusively former viewers of OLTL and AMC.
Makes sense.
Good grief. Seems like GH is already bursting at the seams.
I look forward to this, he will be great addition!
yes I agree with you, now bring hunter tylo on gh, and Billy Miller as the new Jason Quartermaine that would make my day. Oh also recast Robin Scorpio Drake with Elizabeth Hendrickson soon to be ex chloe young and the restless. What about Marj Dusay as the new Audry Hardy, that would make my day.
I THINK ITS GREAT THE MORE THE MERRIER…Newbies is what makes a soap. Our GH vets are on so little because they are into other projects. No contract, less air time. Welcome Ron Moss…
Finally a voice of reason! People forget that every character on GH and just about every other soap was a hated “newbie” at one time. I remember as a kid my babysitter threatened to quit watching because she thought Luke, Laura and Bobbie, the “newbies,” were taking over the show. Now viewers complain that we don’t see enough of them.
No, no, a thousand time no. Back in the early 90’s we were introduced to 5 new characters–Sonny, Karen, Stone, Jagger and Brenda. They all worked because they were connected to core characters. They enhanced the storylines and did not negate the potential storylines of established characters. Moreover, they were introduced slowly, we were given their backstory and we grew to care about these characters. Ron fast food approach to character introduction is forced and the end result is most fans do not have time to invest emotions into them.
Newbies used to be introduced slowly – as were the ones you reference. They didn’t come on and dominate story from their first day. You might remember some other newbies from shortly before that time – the Ekerts, who came on and ate the show, all to give Geary a different character to play from Luke. They bombed terribly and were all gone little more than a year later.
Soaps are a “continuing story”, and that means continuation with characters as well as storylines. All these newbies, even the ones who may count down the line, are too many too soon. It’s stunt casting and not good at all.
So you know that Ron Moss will dominate the story from day one even before he has appeared? You seem to have made up your mind before even seeing an episode. That’s too bad.
Soaps that have been on the air 51 years need to change casts and SL if they are going to survive people don’t always like change, but sometimes you just need to sit back and watch where the story goes.
Who said Ron Moss was going to dominate, Farris? No one,. Boes said that the wave of new characters have dominated. While the Q’s have been listed on the endangered species list, the Westbourne family continues to prolerate. And Bizlet, no one is objecting to change in of itself. But for the last year we have had a huge influx of new characters which we have never seen before. It’s not change or new characters in of itself which we oppose, it’s how badly it’s being handled. New characters like Sabrina are foisted on us without an introduction and we are expected to care. In the past Sabrina is a failure of conception and delivery. It happens. But back in the day when new characters just weren’t working, the head writer would write them out. Remember Hannah the Banana? Chloe? Angel Borris? Sarah Weber anyone? You might barely remember them because the head writer and producer in those days recognized when a character just wasn’t working and it would take them off the canvas. Ron and Frank are too stubborn, too determined to win, that they continue to inflict these dreadfully written new characters on us.
I like it alot that he is joining General Hospital! Can’t wait to see him!
Michelle Stafford and Ron Moss coming on board? How many new characters can GH add. They are not currently utilizing what’s on the canvas already. If the rumors are true there are even more former CBS soap stars coming to GH as well.
I swear I might lose it if Billy Miller or Michael Muhney are cast as Jason or Elizabeth Hendrickson is cast as Robin. They are all great actors, but seriously, GH does NOT need any more characters right now and if anything, I would love to see all three actors back at Y&R. I was hoping Michelle Stafford would return as Phyllis but it doesn’t look like that’ll happen any time soon now. And personally, I don’t think Ronn Moss can act at all, he was on B&B for 25 years and there was no improvement whatsoever in all that time.
MORE newbies???? Couldn’t care less about Michelle Stafford OR Ronn Moss because frankly I never liked CBS soap stars. Please make it stop; the cast is so over inflated as it is and characters we love are only on once a week if not less.
Sean Kanan, Rick Hearst, Maura West, Laura Wright, William DeVry and Emme Rylan were all CBS soap stars and they are all great actors. I do agree, though, that GH does not need more characters. I love Michelle Stafford and I wish she had returned to Y&R as Phyllis, but Nina has been mentioned SO much over the last few months it was pretty clear the character was going to be on the show eventually.
As for Ronn Moss, I’m stumped. I have no clue who he will play or why he is needed. I don’t like him as an actor at all; IMO Thorsten Kaye is a MUCH better Ridge. Hopefully he isn’t on screen long, maybe just a coordinator or choreographer for the nurses ball or something, nothing long term.
I agree with you. Other stars have come over from other soaps and won our hearts but it seem like Frank and Ron want to create a whole different soap? Why the hell did they sign up for GH if they are not interested in its legendary characters and its history?
I think I figured it out. Ronn Moss most likely will play Blackie Parrish
You sound bitter lol. I hope ronn stays on gh. Also bring paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian at the nurses ball, that would be hilarious. Lmao.
If Kim or any other over rated Kardashian made any type of appearance on GH id rather see it cancelled…lol
May just be for the Nurse’s Ball but I could see him as a recast Dr. Jeff Webber. They could use another Doctor at GH and Liz could use her Daddy around .
Me and you said the same thing to Mary…RM as Dr. Jeff Webber…perhaps Jeff is the doctor taking care of Nina(to bad they cant make Monica Ninas mom and reunite Jeff and Monica who were once married to each other)…i just hope RM isnt a recast Noah Drake!!!
I was wrong RM’s wife said it was just an appearance he is busy doing other things. Her quote was not to believe everything we read!
He could still be Jeff and visit Liz or be Ninas Doc for a day or two…but maybe he’ll be there just for a quickie appearance!!! If she said dont believe everyting you read how can we believe her…lol I guess its a wait and see on this one!!!
No no no
Yes yes yes
Too many idiots running the soaps these day, with no clue what the viewers want to see. That idiot ruining the Young and the Restless is driving away their best performers, and the idiots at GH is picking them up. WTF??? I’m sick of all these washed up soap stars ruining other shows. I was ill to hear Michelle Stafford was coming to GH, now Ron Moss? Why? Uuugghh!
After 36 years of GH, I’m getting a little sick of watching it and hoping it goes the way of All My Children and One Life To Live…and put us all out of our misery! Start hiring new actors with more talent!
You’re right, Jill Phelps is ruining Y&R. After Michelle Stafford, Billy Miller and Michael Muhney left, a lot of viewers did too. Now Elizabeth Hendrickson is leaving too. And it seems as though all these actors have been rumored to be joining GH since their Y&R departures. Personally, I like the idea of MS as Nina. Her scenes with Micheal Easton and Maura West especially, should be amazing.
And even though it’s frustrating to see changes being made to a show that you aren’t necessarily in favour of, cancellation is 100 times worse. For the past year and a half I’ve been watching Y&R dwindle and become less watchable but in no way do I want it cancelled. I want JFP removed and a new regime brought in to fix it. If you don’t like what RC and FV are doing with GH, stop watching, don’t wish for cancellation.
I don’t really wish for a cancellation. I honestly believe the bozos running the soaps really know nothing about viewer loyalty. After 36 years, you really think I’d quit watching? I had to put up with some pretty stupid storylines much worse than today’s, like the freezing of he world, and Anna and alien from outer space. Or that stupid Asian storyline in the 80s. I don’t care for recasting, serial soap hoppers, and executive producers on a firing spree. That kind of stuff drives me away! I actually love GH, but it’s seen some much better days!
Maybe RC and FV would be interested in replacing JFP and her head writer at Y&R! I would certainly be enthused at that (as a GH fan that is).
Please bring more of oltl people!! CBS NBC soaps nooooooooooo more!!!! We need TUC Watkins! John Paul Lavoisier!! Etc . more ilene Kristen, everyone from oltl, They are the best!
Agree! MA should have been Nina Clay
OMG great idea!!!! I wonder why they didn’t think of that? what a PERFECT IDEA!! how fun would that have been??
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO did Ron or Frank fall out of bed and hit their head. Ron Moss is one of the reasons I quit watching B&B years ago. this is not good
agreed! Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Nancy then don’t watch Lol. quit your bitching, nothing makes you happy. go take your meds.
Vanessa, last time I checked, freedom of speech is alive and well in America. Nancy has the right to express an opinion about the show which differs from your own without being personally insulted by you.
Oh you are so right….no emotion…but it does not say it is long term, which is good news….. since when are we (GH) taking B&B rejects? On top of that they will have to deal with that ignorant wife he is married to….good grief…he must have been a cheap get!
If he is playing Silas and Nina’s son I am seriously finished with this program!
If that was a joke then good, it made me laugh LOL
But there’s absolutely no way that would happen, Ronn Moss is 60, MS and ME are in their 40’s.
It made me laugh too, Jimmy. I think he might be a Stavros recast.
Eww! Really hoping he’s a temp and not around for long
NO!!!!!!! If it’s not short term, I’m DONE w/ GH. I can’t take watching him, he’s awful, the reason I never watched B&B. GH has so many actors & actresses that they don’t use often enough, why keep bringing all these newbies (although I’m thrilled about Stafford) ? This show no longer remotely resembles General Hospital.
agree 100%
I have heard on twitter that it is just a guest role probably for the nurses ball.
I read that his wife tweeted that it’s only a “special appearance”
You are correct !
Thank god!
“special appearance”
FOR
the faint of heart
He fits into the mob world or a Cassadine member.. I don’t know who he is, so I am expecting him to be a bad guy.
Can we put a moratorium on newbies??? PLEASE???
Gavel this
please
Wonderful news, I love Ronn Moss this was kept hush hush. Maybe he is a cassadine. Wow now we have Michele Stafford back in daytime, and now Ronn. who’s next billy Miller as the new Jason Quartermaine.
Yes, he might very well be a thawed out Stavros.
Are we going to have to put up with Richard Simmons putting in one of his gawd-awful appearances at the Nurses’ Ball again this year? I hope no!!!!
I would absolutely hate the idea of Billy Miller as a recast Jason. He is not ‘golden boy’ material.
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope he’s not the new Jason.
I think Ronn Moss will play Madeline’s ex-husband and Nina’s father!
This is exactly what I was thinking, but didn’t Madeline say he was dead? Then again, that’s never stopped RC before so I’m sure he’d do it again. But seriously, Ronn Moss? He’s a TERRIBLE actor!
Well at least RM is a nice guy and does not throw his co-stars under the bus. TG is yesterday’s news please find the exit door I will point the way.
Dr. Noah Drake recast?
Ronn was in a 70s rock bank called Player. They had a #1 hit “baby Come Back.” I think Ronn, with or without Player, is performing at the NB. As long as that is it, I am fine with it. Will bring back memories. His wife has already hinted that it is for a musical performance. I’ll bet Lucy was either a Player groupie back in the day, or knows the band and will ask them to reunite for a good cause.
Good guess! I seem to recall someone tweeted something about a surprise guest performer during the taping of the Nurses Ball episodes.
Was it last year’s NB that gave us Maksim the dancer from Dancing with the Stars.
I also think Ronn Moss will be playing a character that’ll perform at the Nurse’s Ball.So it might not be an acting role on GH.His character might interact with the other GH characters but maybe nothing major.
I wonder if they are going to have him as a short term recast as Eli or Noah Drake for the Nurse’s Ball?
Paul Hornsby recast?
just wondering if he’ll wear the scarfs!
Hopefully it’s just a guest / gimmick , this show is so overloaded it is becoming laughable!
How do they keep track of all the characters. Are the writers all on crack? This is not normal. Too much, too fast. I think ABC wants the viewers to hate GH because they want to pull the plug. Viewers should demand answers!
Only judging by his work on B&B, I’m not so thrilled with this casting. But maybe he’ll surprise us. Maybe it is a short term May sweeps role. Maybe he’s involved with Fluke?
Maybe faux Luke is really Ridge Forrester and once his mask is removed itll be Ronn Moss…lol
I would quit watching the show if that happens. That would be absolutely awful and if that’s what the show is going to do, I will be sorely disappointed and very pissed. I’m hoping Luke turns out to be Bill Eckert, no more mask garbage! It worked with Fasion/Duke and Obrecht/Anna but no more!
I feel the same but i couldnt help joke about it…i never watched when Tony played Bill for i had stopped watching around late 1985 and only briefly tuned in over the years and completely stopped in the early 2000s…it could be Bill or Jerry…hope reveal comes soon!!!
LOL
this would actually be funny and make up for the dumb dim wit… Luke has become
poor tracy…
but then again, I digress…I’d rather settle for Tracy with Luke than watching Tracy whole enchilada Ron Moss
BLAH!
I know GH needs JFP from Y&R, please take her!!
All the best to him. I can:t wait to find out the character he will play.
Maybe its a character they were going to introduce last year, Valentine Cassadine?
lol who in the heck is Valentine Cassadine???
Omg we have ken cast on GH ?? Wtf whose next Barbie?? I don’t see this guy as a GH star/character.. But let’s see what RC does with him . Prob won’t be good, but hmmm he’s tall enough like tony Geary that he could be the villian behind the Luke lookalike . Just saying, I know everyone has a theory but he could be a new villian or a recast villian and not bill eckcart but who freeking knows!
Seeing as how Ron is popular in the music arena, this is probably something to do with the Nurses Ball and only temporary. It doesn’t say that he’s on contract or anything, so simmer down ppl. He needs to head back to BOLD and snatch up KKL, sorry, Thorsten Kaye, but he is the “real” Ridge, there is no way that Ridge would hookup with Katie, gross!!!!
Actually I like Thorsten Kaye MUCH better than Ronn Moss as Ridge, he can actually act whereas Ronn couldn’t! And I really hope he’s only a temp on GH because the last thing the show needs is another contracted newbie, especially one who can’t act.
I like Thorsten Kaye, just not as Ridge!! I’m a huge Bridge fan and I love KKL!!! They never gave her and nuRidge a chance to develop, Ronn’s acting was stiff to say the least but his scenes and chemistry with Hunter Tylo and KKL was/is off the charts!!! I bet this is a temp role on GH. Now recast Phyllis with Jamie Luner!!!
Right on, Richard! No matter his shortcomings in the acting skills arena, RM was Ridge Forrester personified….I will always consider his “pretty boy” to be the real thing as opposed to the current version of “Neanderthal Ridge.”
This is embarrassing, for the show : GH
This shouldn’t be happening
He cannot : ACT
what makes them think… he’s all that
they certainly, couldn’t write :
Kelly Sullivan, Connie
Sean Kanan, AJ
Kimberly McCoullough, Robin
Some had said its just a guest appearance at the Nurse’s Ball as himself performing music from his old rock band Player!!!
i agree, i think that is what it is. that would be about right.
I hope that is it, but I cannot see how that makes him relevant anyway as GH fans have no draw to him or his past.
Hope its fast and painless. 😉
Or Tristan Rogers as Scorpio. What a loss that was.
Spot on, this is almost embarrassing. After hiring big names recently, like Maura West, William DeVry, Donna Mills and now Michelle Stafford, they go and bring on Ronn Moss? Why are they lowering the talent bar so much? This guy couldn’t act for 25 years on B&B yet they kept him on. Now Thorsten Kaye is doing a much better job and it’s only been 5 months! GH really goofed on this one.
Thorsten needs to be fired, I’m sorry he is not RIdge Forrester. Recast Ridge with Grant Alexander ex Phillip Guiding Light.
Where in the hell is ABC getting all this money to pay these big names? Plus, they sign our favorites, pay them, and we dont see them on screen for two weeks. Sorry Ron Moss, bad timing! UNLESS they signed him as a recast of Stephan Cassadine!
First of all;
GH is getting new great talent..
Soap stars and being add to better GH..
When a soap has great actors, seasoned soap actors, it will be great!!
CONGRATS !!
to RC and FV for bringing the best of the best to GH .. !!!
Welcome, Michell and Ronn !!!!
There is a lot of hate, that is shameful..
Moss, for over 25 years played the central role of B&B’s Ridge Forrester.
That speaks volumes ..
I hope he is under contract..(if for no other than to pissoff the haters ha!)
Ron and Frank were bold with this casting choice. No pun intended.
I am shocked. I never saw this one coming. Ron Moss on Gh. Maybe he will play another Cassadine.
People need to calm down. It sounds like a guest spot for the Nurse’s Ball. This site is becoming a real downer to read with all the constant negative comments.
Hear hear! I don’t understand why so many people dislike the show yet continue to watch and make comments on this and other sites. Don’t they have anything else to do?
I know..
It is like a mass hysteria of hate and negativity..
what the soap boards need is an inhouse Physicist..
the way some act and think is not normal, it really isn’t..
For 1-
they daily watch a soap they do not like or hate..
They watch it so later they can bitch whine moan about it..
they like suffering , submitting themselves to watch something they hate..
complainers are very unpleasant people to be around..
Hey, Huey, Louie and Mo:
People have the right to complain about a soap opera which they’ve most likely been watching since they were mere wee ones. You call them haters ( a tired, overused and idiotic term) but don’t you see that they (we) are actually coming from a place of love and our collective complaints demonstrate viewers’ frustration and a desire to see GH get better? Rather than employ the love it or leave it mantra why don’t you take note that a great majority of GH fans are unhappy with the direction GH is heading. You cannot begin to solve a problem until you recognize the problem, hence, the bitching.
HEAR HEAR LOUIE…I agree. The reason these boards exist is for those closely connected in studio with the show to see what viewers think. Ron Carlivati is all over Twitter and BELIEVE ME…he’s all over the message boards too. He knows what long time fans and thinking and he’s doing all he can to change GH into a soap for a new generation of watchers. It all comes down to Networks wanting to attract younger viewers and in doing so older viewers are alienated. They know it. But soaps have to progress not digress and you’ll either watch the march forward or find a new daytime love.
are thinking not and thinking.
Hey su000000000000000000000…..Please enlighten me: Exactly why does this (or any other) soap board require an in-house “physicist?” Unless we are speaking of particulate matter, gravity, electromagnetics, thermodynamics, nuclear energy or a host of other scientific subjects that fall under the umbrella term of “physics”, there really should be no need for expertise in this area…..certainly not to discuss and debate the intricacies of daytime drama!
It seems GH is becoming amerry-goround for soap favorites. I should be glad as these are actors/performers I do enjoy and miss on my screens. Oh, would there be more programs on which they could appear. That said, I do not want GH to be a jewelry box of cameos. I like the show but I am growing weary of the cavalcade of characters and the lack of humanity over special events and speed plotting.
Rumor – Moss will be Silas’s vampire Dad.
That would definately suck…lol
