It was made official this morning by ABC, and brought to light by Deadline.com yesterday that the search is over for the women that will comprise the new panel of the revamped The View set to premiere on Monday, September 15th (11AMEST)!

Joining moderators Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell will be Do the Right Thing actress Rosie Perez and political commentator Nicolle Wallace. They who won the spots after a search for the ladies to round out the panel upon the exits of Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.

The new EP of The View Bill Wolff said of the hires: “These are powerful and accomplished women from different walks of life who have had amazing personal and professional experiences. Each brings incredible perspective and information to the table. This mix of smart, vibrant and energetic women is unlike anything else on daytime television.”

“I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I’ve been asked to join The View,” said Perez.  “Knowing that I’ll be in the company of Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable.  The opportunity to connect with our nation’s audience on a daily basis… icing on the cake! Very happy.”

“I am honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of The View for the better part of two decades,” said Wallace. “I have watched The View for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting.”

So what do you think of a panel consisting of Whoopi, Rosie and Rosie, and Nicolle? Does it interest you more than in recent years … or not at all?  Weigh-in!

who, what?

makes no difference to me…

Then why did you come here?

Trust me. Getting the right people is a big announcement.

Here because we like Soaps, not talk show trash. BIG ANNOUNCEMENT is “Did we hit the lowest common denominator”???

Personally, I would love to see a panel consisting of Lindsay Lohan, Miss New York from Flavor of Love, Theresa Guidice and Honey Boo Boo’s Mom.

It never interested me…a group of catty women who talk over each other and their guests…arguing over whose beliefs and opinions are better…no thank you!!!

I heard for a while they were considering adding a male to the panel…I guess no guy wanted to sign up that HELL… LOL! Seriously can you even imagine?

Rosie isn’t that common of a name, so to end up having two of them on one panel– what are the chances of that? LOL.

I think there is nothing wrong with these choices, but I do feel the format itself is running it’s course. It wouldn’t matter who they chose because I think viewers are losing interest. Frankly I believe daytime talk needs an new angle to keep the genre vibrant. The Talk was that new angle when it first debut, but after all these years and copycats that have pop up it is time to find a new way of talking in daytime.

I hadn’t thought of that, Mary. Two Roses? I guess that beats having two Thorns.

I will be tuning in :

Whoopie
Rosie O
Rosie Perez

and I don’t know the Nicole Wallace

I had hoped the 4th person joining the celebrated panel… would be… Jennifer Tilly

I still hope this…. should Nicole Wallace not work out

would be an AMAZING time… well spent

I thought Brooke Shields might have been a good choice.
This might be promising–maybe I will give The View another chance. I have not seen it in years.

Nicole Wallace worked for George W. Bush. So she seems to be the “republican” of the group.

LOL Just try to get the weakest “republican” vioce possible

i like the new panel, i’m not familiar with nicole, but looking foward to seeing how things play out. they could still use a fifth member, wish they bring back joy.

I will still watch the view, but the ratings better increase or the view will be cancelled. Rosie Perez will be great on the view. Good luck ladies, you will need it.

I will be SHOCKED if that show lasts more than this season. It was terrible before Barbara left the show, and even with her clout and professionalism, she couldn’t carry it any longer. Out of curiosity, people will tune in just to check it out….for a while.

The show literally gave me a headache… women screaming over one another, many times over nonsense. The mere fact that TPTB wanted Rosie O back only means one thing…they are only looking for ratings and will do anything to draw an audience. Perhaps during November sweeps they can ask D Trump in as a guest so he and Rosie O can tear into one another… just disgraceful and embarrassing.

I cannot imagine, under any conditions, that Barbara W is proud of what this show has become. Nicolle Wallace, a very sharp conservative commentator, must never have seen this show if she thinks it has intelligent compelling conversations, she is in for a real shock! It may be a career killer for her in the end.

LOL… it’s saying something when people would prefer watching Hoda & Kathlee Lee and their nonsense over the View.

errrrrr…I kinda like Hoda and Kathy Lee…they’re a fun, good-natured team…sometimes catch em at 2am when they replay what aired during the day.

I WOULDN’T WATCH THIS SHOW IF IT WAS THE ONLY SHOW ON.Doesn’t matter who is coming on.

TRUST ME…if this WERE the only show on … You me and the whole of AMERICA would be watching…DAILY…for lack of anything else…so…that’s actually quite silly to say under any circumstance. Geez..it’s just a group of women on TV stating opinions..trying to be heard..and interviewing all sorts of people. But rest assured your capitalized statement was heard by someone…now breathe in…holddddd…release…go on with your day.

You go ROSIE PEREZ…you deserve it. This lady has fought for recognition her whole career in a crowded field of actresses…glad you get to shine on The View..CAN’T WAIT….

Rosie Perez has made a number of appearances on public radio and is very deep and impressive, she doesn’t even use her “character” voice, I bet she will be a pleasant surprise. Whoopie and Rosie O are legends, I think one very young woman would have been cool to add to the panel…Ms. Wallace has a conservative vibe–fine–but some fine-tuning is still needed so we can tune in with the joy THE TALK is now bringing!

Ugh Count me Out! I quit watching a Long time ago when Joy was there with her nasty mouth. I Can’t Stand Rosie Odonnel so no way will I watch it now!

No interest in previous seasons, no interest now. Women talking trash with no intelligent viewpoint. Typical Talk Show.

‘Tracker’ Star Justin Hartley Reveals Melissa Roxburgh to Debut as His On-Screen Sister

Justin Hartley took to his Instagram this week, and introduced the latest cast member to his hit freshman drama, Tracker on CBS.

The former Y&R star where he played Adam Newman, now plays Colter Shaw on Tracker and in a few weeks time on the May 5th episode, viewers will be introduced to Colter’s sister, Dory.

Actress Melissa Roxburgh takes on the key role. Roxburgh is most-known for his role in Manifest. She has also appeared on Quantum Leap and Supernatural to name just a few of her other TV credits.

In the episode entitled, “Beyond the Campus Walls”, the CBS series previews, “When a grad student goes missing after a house party, his friends and family believe he buckled under the pressure of his research grant. But, after consulting with his sister Dr. Dory Shaw (Roxburgh)— a professor at the school — Colter discovers a trail of explicit photos and messages that lead him to uncover a dangerous (and deadly) conspiracy on campus.”

Hartley’s post shared, “Colter finally reunites with his little sister Dory in the coming weeks. Join me in welcoming the lovely and talented @MRoxburgh to the @TrackerCBS family!”

The story of Colter Shaw’s family is a throughline throughout Tracker. We know from flashbacks, that Colter, Dory and their brother Russell had a not-conventional upbringing. Their parents Ashton and Mary were professors at Berkeley until something happened to Ashton. When his paranoia gets the best of him he leaves his family, but Russell went after him, and then later on Ashton is found dead, where all indications look like Russell pushed him.  Now in 2024, Russell contacted Colter telling him there is something he “needs to know.” However, Colter’s mom, Mary did not want her son engaging with Russell in any conversation and that was back earlier in the season after the second episode.

B&B’s Sean Kanan, Heather Tom and Lawrence Saint-Victor All Had Creative Hand in Sheila’s ‘Ten Toe’ Reveal

Bringing it from the page to the stage is the actor’s job on any theatre, television or motion picture project. In the case of The Bold and the Beautiful, longtime soap MVP, Sean Kanan, has been delivering some powerful performances as Deacon has become increasingly freaked out and obsessed with the fact, that in the crematorium, he saw that “Sheila’s” (Kimberlin Brown) body had ten toes, not nine.

Deacon now believes Sheila might be alive somewhere (given she only has 9 toes), and especially after seeing the communications between Sugar and Sheila on her laptop.

Then, on Monday’s April 15th episode of the CBS daytime drama series, Deacon says to himself (as he pours himself a drink), “Maybe Finn’s right. Maybe I’m losing it.” He flashes back to the crematorium, saying “Sheila had nine toes, but I saw ten on those feet.” He then utters, “Why Sheila? Why did you go to Steffy’s that night? And who the hell is sugar?”

Photo: JPI

While Kanan has played the only guy in town who thinks something is off here, he was ably assisted by two of his castmates. First, six-time Daytime Emmy-winner, Heather Tom (Katie) directed the episode where it was revealed that the woman’s body in the crematorium had ten toes.

Second, Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), wrote that ‘ten toe’ reveal episode, and he took to Kanan’s instagram and expressed, “I had a lot of fun writing this episode. (Sean Kanan) killed it!!!!”

Photo: JPI

Coming up later this week, Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren) is back from Genoa City and The Young and the Restless and gets into a heated conversation about Sheila with Deacon. Stay tuned.

So, what do you think of Sean, Heather and Lawrence all using their creative talents to make the ‘ten toe’ reveal come to life? Comment below.
