The Martha Stewart Show's Former Head Honcho To Be Named New Executive Producer of KATIE!

Looks like Katie Couric’s talker Katie is getting ready to officially name their new executive producer after Katie’s  show runner pal and co-owner of Katie’s gabfest brand, Jeff Zucker, bolted the series and went to head up CNN!

According to Deadline.com, Michael Morrison will take over the reins from Zuker citing:  “Morrison’s appointment allows continuity as Zucker is slated to leave for his new job as president of CNN Worldwide at the beginning of next month.”

As for Morrison’s resume deadline revealed, “Morrison was most recently executive producer of The Martha Stewart Show for the show’s first and only season on Hallmark Channel. He was previously a programming consultant and exec producer at A&E and helped launch Late Night With Conan O’Brien.”

So what do you think soapers?  Can this changing of the guard help Katie in the ratings and improve the show, which is currently still is the number one new syndicated talk show? Or, do you think Morrison may water down the show to be as slow and monotone as Martha Stewart’s dismal series?  Weigh-in!

I just can not get into the Katie show..
It is much the same as all the talkers shows, noting special, the same old stuff.
It’s hard to believe that some can waste an hour of their day watching Katie..
I do not even bother to look in..

I don’t care for her show & will never watch it..She seems like a nice person but I will not be tuning in to her show. I rather watch my stories than her show .I want to be entertained w/stories & love in the afternoon!!!!!!!! It doesn’t matter to me if this helps her
ratings. NOT INTERESTED IN THE LEAST!

She has one ot the most disingenuous laughs I have ever heard. She’s just so plastic and phony and not warm.

And has a mouth on her like a truck driver when she is not on camera. Embarassed military officiers when she was on an airforce base that will go unmentioned. I literally detest the woman.

So…ABC…how’s that $25 million investment working out for ya? Lol. Bet your rethinking the whole sorry mess; especially cancelling One Life to Live.

You said it Danica. I have never watched one second of Katie & never will. The tv goes off when GH does. I still find myself watching for OLTL at 1:00 central & GH at 2. I hate that the soaps are over at 2:00!

I will never watch Katie. Nothing is new or novel about her show. I would rather watch a bad Oprah rerun.

Screw Katie. I’ve heard that she’s working her crew to death with forced overtime and threats to their jobs if they don’t put in the time. The show is so understaffed b/c of her salary she’s working folks like crazy. Screw her.
