We told you several months ago that principal photography was underway for this new dark romantic comedy starring Guiding Light’s Tom Pelphrey and One Life to Live’s Melissa Archer!  Well, now the film has been completed and is ready to hit some movie theatres nationwide on October 12!

The film titled, Excuse Me For Living features Pelphrey in the leading role of Daniel Topler, who is brilliant and debonair, but drug-addicted and who is saved from a suicide attempt.   In court, the judge entrusts the wisecracking young man to the care of Dr. Bernstein, an elderly psychiatrist at an upscale rehab clinic.  The doctor issues these commands: obey the no-drugs rules, and join the geriatric temple men’s group he leads – or face incarceration.  Dan meets Bernstein’s luscious daughter, Laura (Melissa Archer).  But the psychiatrist forbids them to meet again.  The thread of Dan’s struggle to seek self-redemption, capture Laura’s love,  and Bernstein’s approval weaves to the story’s surprise conclusion.

Excuse Me For Living, also features Christopher Lloyd, Wayne Knight, Jerry Stiller, Robert Vaughn, James McCaffrey, and soap favorites: Ewa De Cruz, Tonja Walker, Shenaz Treasury and David A. Gregory! Excuse Me For Living was written, directed, and produced by Ric Klass!  For more information on cities and locations on where you can see Excuse Me For Living click here!

I didn’t care much for the movie…What I saw of it….I don’t think I will go to the movies to see this…..Now that that the making of this movie is over & will be in the movie threater nt. month maybe now Melissa Archer can come to Port Charles…

Made a second comment because at first it would not accept. When I clicked on submit it said that it was a duplicate & I said this before…Surprised to see it accepted after all……That’s all……..

This looks great. Can’t wait to see it.

I heard that Melissa Archer was under contract with Prospect Park until Jan 2013, and would not be free to do movies/TV (is in McBain’s love Natalie on GH)
goes to show; gossip is usually wrong.

It looks really good, I hope to see it after it comes out. Love Tom Pelphrey, he was great as Jonathan on Guiding Light.

As a big MA fan I can not wait to see anything she is in! This looks good! I almost feel like driving the 4hrs to chicago the nearest city to me where its showing to see it! Since TPTB are dumb and won’t bring her to GH and take advantage of all her fans that don’t watch that show (maybe soon if the PP thing is true) she just has so much hyper energy on screen she diffenatly won’t put you to sleep unlike some other that shall not be named!!!! Congrats to Melissa Archer I wish her the very best!!! Its been a long drought without her!! I’ve had withdrawls!!! Love love her!

I like MA too but I am not going to see this movie…..It just doesn’t interest me…You enjoy the movie……………………….Rather see her on GH …..

I’m so glad there is somewhere close showing this. Looking forward to seeing it and hope our soap stars get a lot of attention out of it. :0)

LOOKS AWESOME! Great cast. I will definitely watch. Thanks Mr. Fairman for the preview.

Hoping it’s a hit on the indie circuit.

Defintely going to see this on October 12th when it comes out! Congrats to Melissa Archer, the movie looks fun and she looks so beautiful! Hope she and Tom Pelphrey are a hit, they look wonderful together and make it big on the big screen. I loved her as Natalie on OLTL and with John but since the TPTB were too dumb not to bring her to GH, I’m happy she is moving in this better direction. When do her other movies she did come out? Best of luck to her!

Never knew if she, or McBain, could act. McBain was always looking at Natalie’s boobs, as all audience memeber were. Should be a great movie if she wears the same low cut tops.

Wow,
Robert Vaugh, Wayne Knight, Christopher Lloyd and Jerry Stiller
and Melissa Archer’s name appears before all of them….

Great career move. loved her on OLTL , still miss seeing her live out
the trials and tribulations of Natalie…
Excuse Me for . . . Missing OLTL!

But back to the . . .Living…
will definitely not miss this movie – looks like something a I can watch with my wife.

I’ve waited forever for Melissa and Tom to paired together and despite my extended anticipation…it’s crystal clear that EMFL won’t disappoint. It looks like tons of nothing but sweet hilarity and delicious fun. Melissa is stunning and Tom is rakishly adorbs. Congrats to all involved. This looks like a winner! Thanks for sharing Michael 🙂

I didn’t care for it……………………Not my kind of movie…. Not interested…

No need to comment then. Don’t worry though, the rest of us are very excited about this movie!

I am not an MA fan by any means but actors want to play different roles. She is not Natalie, it’s just a character you know.

I like MA too believe me..Loved her on OLTL!!!!! Which was my favorite soap…Doesn’t mean you are going to like that actress in everything she does..That goes for any actress you like a lot….I am happy you guys are excited to see the movie when it comes out…

Love that girl love that guy and I know I will love that movie. I think TP should go to GH as Michael McBain and MA of course goes over as Natalie and they hook up..awesome…

I like John with Natalie…………I alway’s have………………….

REPORT: Nicholas Chavez Not Returning to General Hospital

For those who were holding out hope that Daytime Emmy winner and fan favorite, Nicholas Chavez would be returning to General Hospital after filming his leading role in Ryan Murphy’s Monsters anthology, it looks like those hopes have been dashed.

According to a report from TV Line, although unconfirmed from General Hospital or a representative for Chavez, the actor will not reprise his role as Spencer Cassadine on the long-running ABC soap opera and continue the love story of Sprina opposite Tabyana Ali (Trina, GH).

Chavez was cast as Lyle Menendez over the the summer of 2023 for the second season of Murphy’s limited Monsters series on Netflix. In the upcoming season, the series will focus on the the case of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the two well-to-do Beverly Hills brothers accused of murdering their parents in 1989.

After word from Chavez casting was revealed, GH fans were concerned over the fate of the Sprina story, a spokesperson for GH shared,  “We support Nicholas’ endeavors and look forward to having him return to General Hospital once this project is wrapped.”

In story, the series “killed off” Spencer when he went overboard with Esme to the steely waters below after being injected with a drug, thanks to Esme and falling into the Seine River in France. However, his body was never recovered, and believed to have drowned or washed away. Thus, leaving an opening for Spencer to return in the form of Chavez or be recast down the line.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Wagner expressed, what we all know who watch the soaps, that no one is never, ever really gone for good. Jack expressed, “You never really die on a soap, right? How they unfold those two characters (Peter and Amanda), it’d be fantastic how they sort of tell that story.”

Wagner added, “That was a great finale to be included in, especially with Heather. If I’m asked to come back, I’d absolutely entertain that.”

Photo: Fox

The original Melrose Place aired for seven seasons from 1992 to 1999. The story featured the residents of an apartment complex, whose lives were intertwined. Eventually Wagner and Heather Locklear dated fro 2007-2011.

As previously reported, the new Melrose Place share that some of original neighbors and friends reunite after a death. The loglines add, “The pressure cooker of a reunion soon uncovers old traumas, rekindles old romances, reignites old resentments, and reveals new secrets… throwing our characters into chaotic drama that’s reminiscent of the past, but with a much more modern perspective.”
