Y&R Utilizes Flashback Of Jeanne Cooper's Final Scene As Jill Recalls The Color Of Katherine's Mansion "Forget Me Not Yellow"

Did you grab for the hankies? The Young and the Restless utilized the final scene between the iconic duo, Katherine and Jill, played by the late Jeanne Cooper and her longtime scene partner, Jess Walton, in a very creative way on Monday’s episode of the CBS daytime drama series.

It came about after Jill tells Billy (Jason Thompson) her plans for Brash & Sassy, and how he will work alongside of Cane (Daniel Goddard).  Billy accepts her deal, and as Jill looks around at the blue-colored home of her son, which was formerly the mansion of Katherine Chancellor,  she looks down at the yellow can of paint near the entranceway wall and recalls the last time she saw Katherine saying goodnight to her as she heads up the stairs.

At the end of the flashback, Jill takes the paint brush and puts the yellow paint on the wall and says to Billy, “This is the color. Forget Me Not Yellow.”

After the jump watch the scene as Y&R and Jess, remember Jeanne and Katherine Chancellor.  Then share your thoughts at seeing the one and only Jeanne Cooper again on your screens.

I miss that lady!!!

I miss her so much such a nice loving caring person.we couldn’t replace her. You could always talk your problem to her and she listen and give good advice

What a beautiful scene and a perfect end to Katherine.

And great closure to Katherine and Jill.

A little off topic but related…Am watching a rerun of a Castle with Corbin Bernson, son of Jeanne. Ironically the title of the episode, which is about a murder on a soap opera set, “One Life To Lose,” yet also stars Greenlee/Hayden and Ryan from AMC. Also Jane Seymour and Castle’s mom, Susan Sullivan from Falcons Crest. Whatever, Castle has always been great about bringing in our soap favorites. Another reason it will be missed.

It would be nice to see Corbin Bernson return to Y&R in an “All About Katherine” episode.

Additional Comment: With the dedication of a new portrait of “Mrs. C.” Jeanne Cooper deserves an oil painting like Victor Newman.

Susan also was in daytime…she is best remembered as Lenore Moore Curtain Delaney on Another World for five years-she was on the short-lived A World Apart and as a ghost on Dark Shadows…

I remember that episode. Fun times.

awww what a sweet memory..
ohhh lordy! I do not want to get old!
I don’t want the Wednesday discount..

I would never paint my walls yellow, but to each their own..
Great to see Katherine Chancellor, once again..
She is the summary of class and strength.. A great Lady..

SUOOO, you seem a tad obsessed with age.

LOL ”obsessed” is a very strong wrong word..
I don’t want to get old ! Do you, no .. lol

Too late! And really, the alternative is not a viable choice.

Loved the scene;as the gracious Kay (sorely missed Jeanne Cooper)exited the “fourth wall” and bid us adieu!!!
RIP …DUCHESS

I did enjoy today’s show it was good and I didn’t ff anything for a change.
I am pleased that Victor is out of jail, and they didn’t drag out a long court case that was kind of them.

Elaine, I am not pleased at all that Victor is out of jail. He will never change. I just don’t know how Nikki can be so dumb, and keep going back for more every time, with all, the nonsense Victor has pulled through the years. You understand, of course, that I have absolutely nothing against Eric Braeden or Melody Thomas Scott, who have always been beyond outstanding in their roles, it’s just their characters I am totally fed up with. This is just a theory of mine, but I think that Victor was just acting nice toward his family to get out of prison, and in time, he will pull the rug out from under all of them, to get his revenge for them testifying against him. The reality, however, is Victor only has himself to blame. If he hadn’t pulled all the outrageous things he did, he wouldn’t have ended up in prison. By the way, how many times has Nikki gotten mad at Victor, separated from him, forgiven him, gone back for more and remarried him?! I think it’s about 500 times now?! LOL! I’ve honestly lost track! If my theory comes to pass, and Victor does get revenge on all of them, I will not feel sorry for any of them, because they deserve what they get for being so naive about Victor. He’s still conspiring with that little idiot, Chloe. I never could stand Chloe. Wait until Chelsea finds out that Chloe is the mystery woman who has been visiting Victor, and that Chloe is still plotting revenge against Adam. Chloe better get out of Dodge, because when Chelsea gets through with Chloe, she won’t be able to walk or speak ever again, LOL! I don’t know if you remember the character Lauralee “Lorie” Brooks, from many years ago?! Lorie gave Victor the business, and tricked Victor into giving her back the proxies of Prentiss Industries, which she returned to the company’s owner, Lance Prentiss, who was lorie’s true love. Lorie then left Victor at the altar, to be with Lance, which is how her character, and many other characters from Y&R’s early years, were written out. Lorie did return briefly in 1984, as did many other characters from the early years, for the first wedding of Victor and Nikki. Lorie also returned for about six weeks, in the summer of 2002, to try and get Victor back. It didn’t work, but on a positive note, there was no more animosity between Victor and Lorie. Jaime Lyn Bauer played Lorie, and I have many autographed pictures she sent me. I also sent her a drawing I did of her, many years ago, and she told me she still has it in a frame, behind one of her other pictures, which I though was very nice of her! Lorie did know Jill, although Jess Walton wasn’t playing the role until five years after Jaime Lyn Bauer left the show. When Lorie returned in 2002, Jill was in some of those episodes, but I could not understand why they didn’t make them see each other?! Lorie had one scene with Peter Bergman, who plays Jack, and it would be great if Lorie returned, and became Jack’s new love interest. Lorie, like Jill, is a total diva, and they both would give each other a run for their money, shaking things up on Y&R! Jaime Lyn Bauer was supposed to come back again in 2013, for Jeanne Cooper’s tribute episode. She was going out of town, and Y&R’s higher-ups had called her, and told her not to leave town. She stayed in town, but was very disappointed she never got the callback to return. Jaime Lyn Bauer said she did not understand what the people at Y&R’s thinking process was on this. Lastly, when the late William J. Bell, created the character of Lauralee “Lorie” Brooks, he named the character after his real-life daughter, Lauralee Bell, who, as you know, plays Paul Williams’ wife, attorney Christine Blair Williams, on Y&R. Be well, Elaine!

Wow, Michael, what a great trip down Memory Lane! Jamie Lyn Bauer was the reason I started watching Y&R and when Jeanne Cooper joined, I was hooked for life! Lorie Brooks was a true soap original and I would love to see Jamie Lyn back in ANY capacity. And I agree about Victor. That verdict was appalling and was just made so that the “wise” judge could protect his 40ish daughter as if she were a teenager. And don’t get me started on Chloe. I hope it is Chelsea that brings them both down and Adam home. I find this “jail fetish” the writers seem to have with Adam deeply disturbing. And they had better keep Chloe away from Kevin – he finally can – and has – done better and moved on. Chloe and Victor deserve each other. Wonder how everyone will react to Victor’s “new leaf” — the first vein being his own son’s imprisonment. He should be ashamed to walk around free!

Great post Michael. Jamie Lynn was also a big reason I watched. Chelsea as a lead actress is so disappointing to me.

It made me cry. She is so missed and still so loved. A true legend.

You and me both, Deb. Memories of decades’ worth of episodes and stories started flooding back and I was sad, but later I was grateful. I guess there are worse feelings to have.

Thank you, Soaphound! I’m glad I’m not the only one who would like to see Jaime Lyn Bauer return as Lorie Brooks. However, I recently read that she is supposed to return to Days of Our Lives in Seotember, as Dr. Laura Horton, #5. You know, Susan Flannery, who played Dr. Laura Horton #2, on DOOL, and Jaime Lyn Bauer, have two things in common: Not only did they both play Dr. Laura Horton on DOOL, but they both played the wife of actor John McCook on two other soaps. Jaime Lyn Bauer, on The Young and the Restless, where she played Lorie Brooks to John McCook’s Lance Prentiss #1, and Susan Flannery, on The Bold and the Beautiful, Y&R’s sister-show, where she played Stephanie Forrester to John McCook’s Eric Forrester. Stephanie was killed-off in 2012, and Eric is still on B&B to this very day, and has been since the very beginning. Thank you again, Soaphound, and I hope all is well!

Hi, Soaphound,
Funny, how great minds think alike…LOL.
I agree….Chloe’s bizarre behavior with Chelsea will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. She really is insane, albeit I understand the pain over losing Delia.
Grief of this magnitude affects people differently and sometimes drastically.
Chelsea is not one of my faves, but she is a ‘guttersnipe’, wise to the world, no matter how hard TPTB are trying to ‘install’ a halo over her head. she will figure it out. She has the smarts to smell a rat: Chloe!!!!!!
I think this will turn out to be Adam’s only salvation.
The idea of Victor playing God has backfired. For such an astute, seasoned evil being, Victor trusted a basket case in Chloe…..thinking of playing a dangerous game with yet another life.
Yes, Victor planned to clean up the muck he created for the umpteenth time; but he had not counted on his partner-in-crime’s mental instability. He is looking for those fatalistic pages. But, in the end, they will only serve to bury him.
I think that is the reason Chloe did not destroy them….for leverage against Victor. Now, how many have tried to keep Victor in line? Ha!!
Yet, that proof won’t even be needed to save Adam. Of course, it can only reenforce his innocence; but, the core of the proof rests on Chloe herself. Chelsea will fish it out of her.
Please, writers….have Chelsea do something worthwhile, other than showcase her wardrobe ad shoes—-which I absolutely, loooove; by the way.

WHAT A WONDERFUL TREAT TO SEE KATHERINE ……MISS HER…WONDERFUL LAST SCENE….WHAT A LADY!!!!!

Let’s hope Billy brightens up the place a bit. The show stinks without Katherine.

I miss her terribly, the show has a hole without her.

YOU ARE SO CORRECT!!!!

I Was thrilled to see the flashback, Oh how I miss Kay. I can see a big change in the way Mal Young produces v/s the horrible JFP. Nice to see Jill, the mansion and even the Newman Ranch. Y&R might just be saved. Great episode, Thank you for showing the Jess Walton/Jeanne Cooper final scene.

Toscanti–I see the difference too. Honestly, it doesn’t take a lot to make soap fans happy and paying fidelity to the show’s history counts for a lot.
The flashback was unexpected and therefore, packed a more powerful whallop. Jess Walton’s acting was spot on–poignant and so heartfelt it didn’t seem like acting.
That final goodbye scene played as though both actresses knew at the time that it was their final scene together. I remember watching it at the time it aired and just knowing that was Katherine’s final goodnight.

LOVE having Jill back. I am hoping the powers that be make her stay permanent one. I r3member watching that scene when it first aired. I cried then, and I cried then, and I cried yesterday also. It is nice to see that Jill and Cane still have their closeness. Having mixed thoughts on the Victor situation, but I did enjoy the end when Chole came out of hiding. It woulnd be nice to see Victor on th3 other side for a change. I hoping that things are slowly taking a turn for the better.

The actress prefers to be recurring so she isn’t tied down to the show. She doesn’t even live in California anymore, I believe, so I don’t think Jill would ever become a “permanent” character again unless the role was recast — and no one wants that!

As any long-time fan of The Young and the Restless knows, the late Jeanne Cooper’s first scene was in November 1973 with the original Jill, Brenda Dickson, who played the role from 1973-1980, and again, from 1983-1987. Jill was a manicurist then, and Katherine Chancellor came into the beauty salon, which I believe was called Hazel’s, named for the lady who owned the salon, and Katherine was dragging one of her very expensive furs, and asked Jill to pick it up for her, and the rest, as they say, is history. Thus began soap opera’s longest-running feud. Since then, we have seen a total of six Jills, and a total of five Katherines. The final scene with Katherine and the present Jill, Jess Walton, which aired in early-May 2013, was very sad, yet very touching. Jess Walton has played Jill from 1987-2012, as a regular cast member, but she voluntarily went on recurring status in 2012, and presently, only returns from time to time, which is sad as well, seeing that Jill is the only Y&R character that has been on the show since the very beginning. Jess Walton also has the distinction of playing Jill longer than any of the other five actresses who have played Jill through the years, combined, which is quite an accomplishment. I have an album filled with many autographed pictures from different soap stars, and the first photo in my album is an autographed picture from Jeanne Cooper, on which she wrote, “Dearest Michael, My love to you.” Jeanne Cooper also sent me a letter with the autographed picture, and wrote in the letter, that she couldn’t get over how I remembered all the Jills and their real names, which I thought was a great compliment, coming from Jeanne. I do try to remember many different things. The lovely Jeanne Cooper, will always be remembered, and greatly missed from Y&R, and I’m very sure that everybody will agree with me on that. Y&R just isn’t the same without you, dear Jeanne, and never will be again! Thank you for all the wonderful and priceless scenes you gave us, through the years. You were phenomenal in every scene! Lastly, when they showed Jill, walking through the Chancellor mansion, the way it was when Katherine lived there, it was so beautiful, and should have been kept the way it originally was, out of respect for Mrs. Chancellor’s memory! Many people, including friends of mine, were commenting on how horrible it looks now! That dark, greenish blue color is revolting! I do think, however, that when they renovate it again, and use the lighter colors, which Jill approved of, in yesterday’s episode, I believe it was, the Chancellor mansion will be restored to beauty and elegance once again!

Thank you, Michael. I really enjoyed reading your post.
You certainly are a long, loyal and ardent fan of Y&R.

Thank you, Harry. Nice to hear from you again. Always a pleasure. Yes, I have been a very loyal fan of Y&R since day one, but some of these present day characters are really getting on my nerves now. Victor, as you know, is out of jail, but he will never change. You know he will still get revenge on all of his family, and I would not feel sorry for any of them, if that were to happen, because they should have all known better than to help with his appeal. We’ll see what happens. Thank you, again, Harry, and I hope all is well!

Great post. I do wish they would open up the living room like it was instead of that small section they show. I don’t yearn for making things supposedly great again but I do yearn for great writing and depth of character as it used to be on Y and R.

Great and powerful vignette.

That was a cool scene. I’ve said this before, loved Jeanne and she is a legend BUT I really think they missed out on not recasting the part because it is a huge hole not having Mrs. C on the show. They pissed all over the mansion and her park, well various crimes have been committed there. UNLESS Jeanne asked them not to kill off her character, I would have reacsted. I surely dont know her but part of me sees her as a Wiley old coot that told them “When I die, Katherine Dies!” Or maybe she said “Do what you want with her, I”ll be dead, nothing I can do about it anyway!” What do you guys think?

I don’t feel that a recast would have worked.
However, a long lost younger sister or cousin would have worked.
I have suggested about a million times that Erika Sleazak should have been cast as a long lost Chancelor relative who claims the mansion as her own.
She could have gone toe to toe with Jill over the Chancellor estate and yes, she could have taken Katherine’s place as the wise matriarch to whom folks turn for some good solid advice. Erika could have pulled this off.

Harry, you are probably right, no matter who took over for Jeanne, it probably would have never been good enough! I LOVE your long lost sister or cousin idea. Report to ABC immediately!

I love this idea, Harry. That would be some great soap.

I also wanted to say, Harry and Timmm, that these four ladies did a great job playing Katherine Chancellor, and it worked because they were only temporary recasts. You could never replace a Y&R legend like Jeanne Cooper, permanently. I do love your idea, Harry, of Erika Slezak, formerly Viki of One Life to LIve, being a long-lost relative of Katherine’s, who would fight Jill for the Chancellor estate. Wouldn’t that be great?! You know, Viki on OLTL, was originally played by Gillian Spencer, Joanne Dorian, Erika Slezak, who has played Viki the longest, and is the best-known Viki, and temporarily by Judith Barcroft and Christine Jones. Erika Slezak’s father was the late actor Walter Slezak, who played the villain, The Clock King, on the 1960s Batman TV series.

O.M.Goodness I cried like a baby. She was true class & I miss her so much. Although John Abbott is not dead I also love when they bring him on as a ghost talking to Jack. I hope that this means there going to paint that drab place back to it’s original beauty. Kathrine had it so bright and beautiful. Billy version looks like a morgue. I hope we get to see more Kathrine memories from Jill and it is so nice to see her back.

Jill needs to permanently live in that house and grow old respectively, being the next wise mature women at the Chancelor Mansion!

I agree Tim. Then maybe we can get it looking like it use to. They did the same thing to Victor’s ranch. It was just beautiful, Sharon burnt it to the ground and now it looks like a condo. I have nothing against condo’s( I live in one) but to go from that stunning ranch to this is awful. Did you notice they have the same front door as in the ranch? Guess that door didn’t burn!

Its the #1 soap, they have SOME money! I wonder if they can green screen the ranch and mansion? The technology is there. But anyway, I hate the Newman Ranch. Condos are cool BUT Victor is a billionaire right? How about something elaborate? At least they didnt ruin the Abbott home yet unless you include Marco, Billy and Phyllis’s love juice ! Eww!

Nikki and Timmm, that is so funny about the same door on the Newman ranch. Yes, the door was the only thing that didn’t burn with the original ranch. LOL! Only on the soaps! I love what you said, Timmm, about Marco, Billy and Phyllis. LOL! So true. Yes, I think the Abbott mansion is the most beautiful house on Y&R today. Another beautiful house from Y&R’s very early years, was the Brooks house. The Brooks and Foster families were the two core families in the beginning. Although the Foster house was very modest, because the family was poor, it still had more warmth and substance than some of the sets on Y&R today, which to me, are very cold-looking!

The old Newman Ranch was a gorgeous set.

They gave the house to an actor that as far as I know never worked with JC. I resent him being in her house.

And dont forget Devon getting 2 billion dollars! Devon!

You are so right April. Every Year around the end of November the Newman ranch would decorate their big beautiful tree in the living room and I couldn’t decide who had a more elegant living room the Newman’s or the Abbott’s. Do you remember when the camera’s would take shots of the horses outside in a white fenced are, then showed the front door and would continue with the story? There was a big beautiful pool in the back yard and every 4th. of July we’d see them have a bbq and Victor would give a speech. Sharon/Nick/ all the younger ones we’re in bathing suits and Nikki was in one with a cover-up. Oh what a house. There good memories April.

A prime piece of real estate given to an actor for taking over a leading role. And the first order of business was to dismantle all that was Katherine Chancellor. It doesn’t matter whose idea it was to change the mansion. Billy Abbott needs to move out and any excuse will do.

At close to 2 minutes, BEAUTIFUL AND TOUCHING CLIP!!!!! However, I wish that TPTB of Y&R would restore that TOTALLY TACKY EYESORE of a house back to the beautiful, breathtaking and elegant Chancellor mansion…where it belongs…QUICKLY!!!!!

Later.

AND BRING BACK ESTER!

Such a wonderful treat, seeing Katherine again. Jess Walton looks amazing and I’m so glad she is back on the canvas. I wish seeing Katherine and Jill made up for the awefulness that is the Victor Newman show. But I’ll take what I can get.

I see I am not the only one that calls this hour ‘The Victor Newman Show’, LOL!!
When the opening theme comes on I even sing to my own lyrics that it is ‘The Victor Newman Show! ‘ I know, I am strange sometimes!

What class Ms. Cooper had! Need more of that in real life and on this show!

I know there are many Victor fans on this board. I just can’t with this guy. It’s more about the writing than Mr. Braeden, I suppose. I just hate the stupidity of it all.

I was an ABC soap fan my whole life. When I was introduced to Y&R on SoapNet more than a decade ago I understood why Y&R was #1 for so many years. Unfortunately that isn’t the case anymore. I hope things change soon. I really love this show and the very talented cast. Less Victor (and less Billy) would be a good start IMO. Better writing is definitely called for. Balance is important in all things, including soaps.

Same with the “Sonny Show” on GH!

Timmm, I completely agree. Sonny is FFd material to me. He needs a long vacation IMO. I am enjoying seeing Laura and Tracy again though. I still tune in for those moments. I’ve actually even warmed to Kiki and nuDillon. Whouda thunk it?

JFP junked the set as others that woman took it to its knees good luck in getting back up and for all the actors wh supported her knowin she was destroying the show! Good luck in the employment line!

MBmomof3 and Timmm, don’t get me started with Victor and Sonny of GH. They are both despicable characters, and they both need to go. I am so tired of the two of them always getting away with everything, and having the nerve to judge everyone else for doing wrong, when these people are saints, compared to Victor and Sonny. The two of them are pure hypocrites, plain and simple. LOL!

Geez, a bit harsh, Harry.

Thank you, April. In fact, today July 28th, makes 36 years ago, that actress Wesley Pfenning, played the role of Lorie Brooks for just one episode. The funny thing here is that this was on a Monday, and just three days before, on Friday evening, July 25th, 1980, Wesley Pfenning was a guest star in an episode of. Here’s Boomer, a prime time series about a very smart little dog named Boomer, who helped the people on the show solve mysteries, or something to that effect. My late mom knew how much I loved Jaime Lyn Bauer, and mom was teasing me, that Wesley Pfenning resembled my “girlfriend” Lorie Brooks from The Young and the Restless. LOL! I remarked that they did indeed resemble each other, except that Jaime Lyn Bauer’s features were a little more sharp that Wesley Pfenning’s. The following Monday, my late dad was going to take me to buy some summer clothes. We were on the subway train station platform, which was around the corner from our former house in our old neighborhood, and dad remembered that he had to do something else that day, and couldn’t reschedule it, so he said we would go clothes shopping the following week. We came home, and dad left to take care of what he had to do. I turned on Y&R, and they announced that due to the illness of Jaime Lyn Bauer, the role of Lorie Brooks was being played by Wesley Pfenning. I said to my mom that she was only saying on Friday evening when we were watching Here’s Boomer, that Wesley Pfenning looked like Jaime Lyn Bauer, and what a coincidence that she was playing her Y&R role temporarily. This was in 1980. Mind you, had dad and I gone shopping for clothes that day, I would have never seen this Y&R episode, for Jaime Lyn Bauer was back the next day. Wesley Pfenning played one of the many Alice Frames on Another Wirld. Lorie Brooks was also temporarily played by Lezlie Dalton in 1976. Lezlie Dalton went on to play Elizabeth Spaulding on Guiding Light. Victoria Thompson played Lorie Brooks temporarily around 1977-1978. Victoria Thompson went on to play one of the Janice Frames on Another World.

Honestly, if I want to really enjoy this show I watch a clip like that or go on YouTube for the BellAlden era. I’d start rewatching from episode one if I could find the entire series.

‘Brilliant Minds’ Officially Canceled After 2 Seasons at NBC; DAYS Alum Al Calderon, OLTL Alum Teddy Sears and Zachary Quinto Among the Cast

Published

By

After languishing on the bubble for months, on Friday, NBC handed down the decision and canceled the medical drama Brilliant Minds after two seasons.

Brilliant Minds stars Zachary Quinto as neurology physician Oliver Wolf, who’s character and the series is inspired by the life and books of neurologist. Oliver Sacks. The series focuses on the medical mysteries of the mind, as Wolf a larger-than-life neurologist and his team of interns explore the last great frontier, the human mind, while grappling with their own relationships and mental health.

The final six episodes of what will now be the end of its second and final season were already set to air beginning on May 27, after being pulled off the network schedule in February as viewership saw a steep decline. Brilliant Minds second season became the lowest-rated drama on linear TV viewing, which didn’t bode well fo a network renewal, although it had its hard core fan base.

There are some exceptional notables in the cast along with the talented Quinto that includes Days of Our Lives alum, Al Calderon (ex-Javi Hernandez) who joined the series in its second season as Nurse Nico Silva, and One Life to Live alum, Teddy Sears (ex-Chad Bennett) who plays Wolf’s love interest and fellow physician, Dr. Josh Nichols.

The rest of the talented cast includes: Tamberla Perry, Ashleigh LaThrop, Alex MacNicoll, Aury Krebs, Spence Moore II, Donna Murphy, John Clarence Stewart, and Brian Altemus.

In an ironic twist of fate on Thursday, April 30, Days of Our Lives finally revealed the actor who was Al Calderon’s successor in the role of Javi, when they announced that actor Jacob Martinez had now stepped into the role. Since DAYS tapes ten months ahead of streaming new episode, Calderon left in the spring of 2025, but will be seen in the part for the final part this month, and then on June 20, Martinez debuts as Salem’s new Javi.

Taking to his Instagram with a sorrowful and heartfelt post on the Brilliant Minds cancellation was Teddy Sears who wrote, “Thank you, Brilliant Minds. I got the call today and I didn’t want to hear, but I knew that it would come, You have to be a particular vintage to quote Don Henley from memory, but that’s the line that came to mind earlier today after I got off the phone with our inimitable showrunner Michael Grassi who delivered the news that NBC has cancelled the series”.

Photo: NBC

Sears continued, “To say that I feel sad to be moving on from these stories, this character, and this cast and crew just doesn’t paint the entire picture. I’m sad, sure. But I’m also deeply grateful that I got hired to play this part, so proud of the stories we told, and the other actors I got to play alongside. I’m excited to see what comes next, what adventures await, and terrified to be without a professional home. A quick and heartfelt thank you to everyone, all over the globe, who found us and found themselves in us, in our characters and in our stories. We wouldn’t have been able to tell them without you. And we still have 6 fresh episodes yet to air, and I do hope you tune in enjoy the remainder of the series. They’re the best we’ve done.”

As he wrapped up his sentiments, Sears signed off with, “The more I know, the less I understand. All the things I figured out I have to learn again. I’ve been trying to get down to the heart of the matter. But everything changes…Thank you, Brilliant Minds.”

The medical drama was created and executive produced by Michael Grassi alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, Lee Toland Krieger, DeMane Davis, Jasmine Russ, Henrik Bastin, Jonathan Cavendish, Andy Serkis and Shefali Malhoutra.

Taking to his Instagram to celebrate the nominations, GH’s Bennett, enthused, “3 Critic Choice Nominations! I’m so proud of the FINDING MR CHRISTMAS and to be in the company of all the legends in all these categories is so surreal! Congrats to Hallmark Channel and to our nominated cast and nominated show and everyone who made this magical show possible. This is crazy! This gives FMC 6 Critics Choice nominations in 2 years. Not bad for a little show on Hallmark Channel. What are your thoughts on our show?” Jumping first into the comment thread was one of his new GH co-stars, Dominic Zamprogna (Dante) who expressed, “Yeah buddy!!!🔥🔥”

In the series, Bennett, the host and co-creator spends eight weeks guiding 10 aspiring actors through a series of “festive face-offs” and acting challenges alongside actors like soap opera notables, Hunter King (ex-Summer, Y&R) and Alison Sweeney (Sami, DAYS). Along the way, they develop their skills and a bond with one another. The show, which is available on Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Plus, highlights LGBTQ+ representation with openly gay contestants vying to be the next Hallmark star.

It should be noted that Traitors received the most Critics Choice Real TV Award nominations with 6 nods, followed by Dancing with the Stars with 4.

Bennett is very familiar to daytime fans having started his career as JR Chandler on All My Children in 2000-2001, before landing the part of Aaron Samuels in the motion picture, Mean Girls in 2004 starring Lindsay Lohan, which would become his breakout performance.

‘General Hospital’s’ Kelly Thiebaud on Britt and Cassius Sibling Drama, But Who Will Ultimately Blow His Cover?

Published

On the April 30 episode of General Hospital, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) had some choice words and warning for her brother Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) who has been masquerading as his twin, the very dead, Nathan West.

As the story has unfolded, viewers learned that Britt knew all along that when “Nathan” showed up in Port Charles seemingly resurrected with a missing 7 years of his life unexplained, that Cassius was taking his place.

Now in developments on today’s GH, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is figuring out that this guy pretending to be Nathan is someone else, and Cassius learns from Britt, that Joss is not just a ditzy sorority girl as he claimed, but a WSB agent! The moment stuns Cassius. Are the walls about to close in on him and his charade?

Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud spoke to Soap Opera Digest, about the story point and getting the opportunity this time back at GH to work with Ryan Paevey, when she hadn’t had the chance to before.

BROTHERLY LOVE?

Thiebaud expressed on sharing scenes with Ryan Paevey, “It’s just been so wonderful to have him back and to actually work with him! When he first came onto the show (as Nathan at the end of 2013) I was kind of heading out — it was right towards the end of my contract, so we didn’t actually work together a ton. It’s been really refreshing and so much fun to really spend time together and get to know each other and work together. I think we have really great on-camera chemistry and banter with each other. I really enjoy working with him.”

With the stakes at an all-time, Thiebaud explained how she views her on-screen alter-ego’s involvement with her more hot-to-temper sibling and why Britt revealed the truth about Josslyn to him. “People finding out about Cassius would expose what she’s involved in and what she agreed to do,” explains Kelly “And now Josslyn is digging around, and she’s connected to Carly (Laura Wright) to Jason (Steve Burton) and that whole dynamic! It’s messy!”

BRITT’S MURKY FUTURE

Britt has currently also reached her breaking point with Jason being carted away by the WSB, Rocco (Finn Carr), the child she gave birth to, shooting Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to protect her and Jason, Marco (Adrian Anchondo) being killed after trying to help her, and Cullum holding over her head getting her Huntington’s disease medication to control her symptoms, while blackmailing her into finishing the research on her father, Cesar Faison’s, final project. Thiebaud summed it up best for Britt right now, sharing, “It’s been a really tough time for her.”

So, who do you think will be the person to blow Cassius’ cover? Will it be Britt herself? Josslyn? Liesl? Brennan? Nina? Lulu? Rocco, Maxie, Cullum or someone else? Let us know your pick in the comment section.
