So what do you think about the presenters for the 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards? Comment below.
I know Daytime is composed of a number of different genres, but aren’t soap fans the most loyal and vocal? So I’d like to understand why there aren’t more soap stars presenting. Do they really think a lot of talk show fans are going to tune in? I doubt it. Soap fans have clamored for more of their stars to be presenters for years. If TPTB would just listen to them, I bet the ratings would go up. Just a thought.
Well, given this year’s circumstances, I’m just grateful the show is being televised. The presenter list is predictably limited but let’s hope they will AT LEAST show some clips from nominated performances. Unless that Underwood clown steals all the spare moments. And why, oh why, is Robin Roberts EVERYWHERE? Sports, movies, the Royals, the Oscars, news specials….enough already. How about moving up some of ABC News’ stellar, attractive journalist reporters like Matt Gutman, Landon Burke from Central California, Trevor Ault, Mary Bruce, and several more. I’m on Robin overload!
I was watching Steve Burton on his online show today, an Emmy chat with Katelyn MacMullen, and if I was understanding him correctly they are doing the same format they did last year with filmed acceptance speeches – where they do not know if they have won or not – just like last year? This is extremely disappointing! I don’t understand why they can’t have each show at their home studios separately observing protocols and do the awards live that way, or similarly to the way the Academy Awards were done earlier this year.
The presenters list is fine. tbh I only care about the soap categories! I am hoping for great winners this year but I know it’s always a mix of some great and some not so great…
