THE BACHELORETTE: Becca Feels ‘Sick’, Demolishes Memories of Arie, Gets An Earful From Colton, Lincoln & Connor

Courtesy/ABC

On week two of Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette: a shocking revelation, a flying picture frame,  a dodgeball competition with a surprise winner, probably the most financially successful Bachelorette contestant revealed, and an arrogant, ridiculous model set the tone for this episode’s drama.  Let’s break it all down.

Becca’s trying to get all ready for her first group date, to which she invites a bevy of guys, including Jean Blanc and Lincoln.  On the date, she makes all the guys dress in tuxedos, as she tries not to “ooh and ahh”” at their bodies as they change into their formal wear.  Then, they’re taken out to an obstacle course, where they’re met by last season’s ‘Bachelorette’, Rachel, and her man, Bryan. As they go through this ridiculous obstacle course, Lincoln – who seemingly cheated – ends up winning the obstacle course, getting the fake ring out of the wedding cake, (don’t ask, long story), and as a result, gets a framed photo of him with Becca at the finish line as a keepsake.

However, Lincoln shoved his victory in all the other dudes’ faces who were on the group date, and when they were all having cocktails back at the mansion, he continually interacts with the photo, even kissing it!  Finally Connor, who has already shown signs of jealousy and anger, and not being able to contain his feelings about how this guy is throwing everything in their faces, tosses the picture frame over into the pool, and the whole thing breaks.  Then, Lincoln tattles to Becca, “I feel threatened physically.” Next, Becca has it out with Connor, who realizes he may have ruined his chance at love with her. And, guess what? She doesn’t give the ‘group date rose’ to either guy, she gives it to Jean Blanc.

Then, it’s time for Becca’s first one-on-one date since Arie Luyendyk Jr. dumped her.  She chooses Blake, (we kind of knew that was going to happen, didn’t we?), and they are taken to a warehouse where in a demolition segment, she gets rid of all her hostility, remnants, and memories of her time with Arie.  Later, in a sit down dinner with Blake, he opens up about his previous relationship. Blake reveals: his last girlfriend was about to dump him, because he saw the texts pop up from her friend on her phone. Becca then feels they have a lot in common and so does he.  They kiss … they make out … in fact, Becca was making out with a lot of guys on this episode. I think she’s the new “kissing bandit” … *wink, wink Arie.*

The next day, another group date ensues that includes last week’s ‘first impression rose’ winner, Garrett.  The men end up suiting up in pink and green team dodgeball uniforms. It turns out that none other than Leo, is the best dodgeball player, long hair put in a man-bun, and all.

Then, that evening Colton needs to confess.  Everyone in Bachelor Nation is thinking that he’s going to confess to Becca that he’s a virgin, because we saw that preview on last week’s episode.  But, the surprise is on us! Turns out that in January, just a few months ago, Colton fessed up to a relationship with Tia Booth, who actually competed for Arie on The Bachelor against Becca.  Now here’s the twist … Tia and Becca are good friends.  It has also been reported that Colton previously dated Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.  Boy, this dude gets around!

Colton explains to Becca about his relationship with Tia: “We had a weekend together, and we had a good time, but for me the timing wasn’t right to grow what was a spark into a flame.  If my feelings were strong enough I wouldn’t have come on the show. I think that from what I know of you, we could build something awesome.”  Becca doesn’t know how to take this shocking news, and she fires back: “I’m not gonna lie.  It makes me feel a little bit sick. I mean, I’m very attracted to you, I really like where our conversation was on night one.  I feel like we have a lot in common, but it’s a very tricky situation and it puts me in a very strange position and, I mean, it’s just a lot to take in right now.”  Confused, she gives the ‘group date rose’ to Wills.

Now, in the episode’s final cocktail party/rose ceremony, male model, Jordan, is now nearly naked, and he interupts David’s time with Becca, and they have it out in the living room.  Yes, Jordan is dressed in a pink blanket. However, Becca’s mind is elsewhere, she’s thinking about the Colton situation. She admits, “I feel like I see something in you that I’m very attracted to, and there’s that interest there, but until I have more clarity, I don’t even want to really invest in this relationship.  So if you sense that I am holding back with you, I am.”

Ultimately, at the rose ceremony, Becca gives her final rose of the night to Colton, so he’s still in the running, folks.  However, Becca’s no fool. She’s got a surprise in store for Colton, when Tia appears in next week’s episode, putting him clearly in an uncomfortable spot.

Time also brought to light in an article when The Bachelorette premiered, that John Graham, one of the still-in-the-running contestants, was revealed to be quite wealthy.  In fact, Graham helped spearhead the development of the app Venmo. It looks like his net worth may make him the highest-earning Bachelorette contestant ever.  Do you think money, from the self-described “emoji consultant” who helped invent Venmo, could trump looks, on The Bachelorette?  Stay tuned.

So, what did you think of Colton’s confession?  Would you go for the money guy, John? What did you think of Lincoln’s ridiculous behavior?  Did you love the one-on-one date with Blake and Becca? Who do you think the frontrunner is now?  Share your thoughts in the comment section below.

Christopher Cousins Makes His Y&R Debut: What Were Your First Impressions of Alan Laurent?

Soap veteran, Christopher Cousins (ex-Cain, OLTL et al), made his first appearance on The Young and the Restless on the Tuesday, April 30th episode of the CBS daytime drama.

As previously reported, Cousins is taking on the role of Ashley’s friend/psychiatrist from Paris, Alan Laurent. In story, the Abbotts flew Alan in from Paris to see Ashley (Eileen Davidson) first-class ticket to Genoa City, no less.

Alan recalls to Traci (Beth Maitland) how Ashley was upset after revisiting the cafe where she had the fight with Tucker (Trevor St. John), and had two different versions in her mind of what actually happened. Traci enlightens Alan that Ashley has been having personality shifts from being assertive, to child-like, to taking tequila shots and having a good ole’ time. In addition, that Ashley is having blackouts with chunks of time gone from her memory.  Traci goes on to say that Billy (Jason Thompson) said he once experienced something like this himself with a personality splinter.

Traci is hoping Alan can talk to Ashley and insist she undergo treatment. Alan firmly explains that he can’t treat her himself, but he will see what he can do.

When Ashley, now as her alter Belle, comes to the Abbott home after chatting with Diane (Susan Walters) at Crimson Lights, she is thrilled to see her old friend, Alan. Eventually, the two head to Society where a concerned Abby (Melissa Ordway) pours them some champagne.

The two talk about Paris as Belle flirts with Alan. She then wonders if he is in town to probe her innermost thoughts. She tells Alan that her family has decided there’s something wrong with her. Alan assures Ashley that he cannot treat her as a patient in the U.S. as he is retired and does not have a license to practice in the states. Alan said he is concerned for her, but would never treat a friend.

Belle tells Alan, “The rumors about my mental breakdown are highly exaggerated.” Belle speaks to the other alters, and thinks Alan is the perfect solution for Ashley. She says, “Time for some joie de vivre.”

What did you think of Christopher Cousins in his new role as Alan Laurent? Will Ashley’s alters get Alan in bed with her? Will she set him up for something more devious? Will Alan figure out what is going on with Ashley and pretend to just be her friend, while somehow treating her multiple personality disorder? Let us know in the comment section below.

AMERICAN IDOL: Katy Perry Makes a Heartbreaking Decision as Top 7 are Revealed

It was dramatic American Idol on Monday night. The episode marked the return of the “Judges Song Contest”, where Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie each serve up a song choice for the contestant to sing, and they must choose one and then figure out who recommended that song choice.

As in the past, when it got down to the bottom two from the at-home voting, the judge who scored the most picks of their song choices by the contestants, was in the drivers seat and could ultimately save one of the two performers to sing another day.

After a night of sterling musical performances by Jack Blocker performing Willie Nelson’s Always On My Mind, Abi Carter doing her rendition of Evanescence’s Bring Me to Life, and Emmy Russell performing her grandmother Loretta Lynn’s classic, Coal Miner’s Daughter, the following were safe after the nationwide vote.

Photo: ABC

The aforementioned, Blocker, Russell and Carter, plus Will Moseley, Triston Harper, and Julia Gagnon. However, that left McKenna Faith Breinholt and Kaibrienne in the bottom two. At that point, Katy Perry conferred with her co-judges and announced with tears in her eyes, in an almost impossible choice for her, to save Breinholt, thus Kaibrienne’s run on ‘Idol’ came to an end.

Photo: ABC

The episode also welcomed back former Idol contestants Danny Gokey, Melinda Doolittle and Colton Dixon for a performance of “Shackles,” in honor of former Idol contestant, Gospel artist, and Grammy-winner, Mandisa who passed away earlier this month at 47.

So, did America get the Top 7 right? Did Katy do right by keeping McKenna for the Top 7 and sending Kabrienne home given her choices? Are there too many country artist contestants left in the mix? Share your thoughts via the comment section below. But first watch what happens when the final 7 are whittled down and Katy’s anguised decision.

On the Monday, April 29th episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, our two sleuths, Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Finn (Tanner Novlan), are looking for clues that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) could be alive, especially after the homeless man (Clint Howard) tells them he saw a woman in their photo go into an abandoned building and he heard screaming until suddenly it stopped.

Deacon and Finn decide they have to go inside the dingy vacant building and search for Sheila. Once inside, Deacon is overcome, saying, “It’s awful in here. Like something died.” Finn keeps calling out his mother’s Sheila’s name. Eventually, the two end up at a locked gate and see a rat.
